Intended use
Hearing inruments are intended to improve the hearing of
hearing impaired persons. Diagnosis and prescription of a hearing
inrument mu be performed by hearing health specialis, e.g.
acouicians, audiologis or ENT doctors.
The charger is intended to charge our specic hearing inruments
with built-in power cells (lithium-ion rechargeable batteries).
Use the hearing inruments and accessories only as described in
the respective user guides.

Your hearing inruments
This user guide describes optional features that your hearing
inruments may or may not have.
Ask your Hearing Care Professional to indicate the features
that are valid for your hearing inruments.
Inrument type
Your hearing inruments are a RIC (Receiver-in-Canal) model.
The receiver is placed within the ear canal and connected to
the inrument via a receiver cable. The inruments are not
intended for children under the age of 3 years or persons with a
developmental age of under 3 years.
A power cell (lithium-ion rechargeable battery) is permanently built
into your hearing inrument. This enables easy charging with our
charger.

The wireless functionality enables advanced audiological features
and synchronization between your two hearing inruments.
Your hearing inruments feature Bluetooth® low energy* technology
allowing for easy data exchange with your smartphone, and for
seamless audio reaming with your iPhone**.

If you want to adju the volume or switch hearing programs
manually, you can ask your Hearing Care Professional about a
remote control option.

Charging
How you can use the charger
You can use your charger in three dierent ways.
Charging via electrical outlet
When the charger is plugged in or placed on
a wireless Qi-charger, it charges the hearing
inruments (if they are placed in the charger) and
it charges the integrated battery at the same time.
As long as the charger is being charged by an
external power source, charger LED shows the
charging atus of the integrated battery and the LEDs for the
hearing inruments show the atus of the hearing inruments.

For power saving after wireless charging, the LEDs will turn o once
charger and hearing inruments are fully charged.
Mobile charging
When you are mobile with no electrical outlet available,
you can ill charge your hearing inruments. Energy
is fed from the charger's integrated battery into your
hearing inruments.The charger mu be turned on to
do so.
The charging atus of charger and hearing inruments
is shown by pushing the button or opening the lid.

Safekeeping
When charging of hearing inruments is completed,
safety ore your hearing inruments inside the charger
with lid closed.
In case you want to ore the hearing inruments for a
longer time, you can turn o the charger. The charger
can only be turned o when there is no power source
connected into the charger.
Turning the charger on or o
When the charger is connected to an electrical outlet, it is
automatically turned on and cannot be turned o.
During mobile charging, press and hold the button for 5 seconds to
turn the charger on or o.

● When the charger turns on, the atus of the hearing inruments
and the atus of the charger's internal battery are displayed for
7 seconds.
● When the charger turns o, the front LED lights up green and
fades out over a period of approximately 7 seconds. Shut down
is complete after approximately 7 seconds.

If the atus LEDs do not light up when you insert the hearing
inruments, check the following:
● The hearing inruments are not correctly placed. Push them
slightly into their charging slots or close the charger's lid.
● The charger is turned o. Press and hold the button for
5 seconds to turn on the charger.
● The charger's internal battery is too low for mobile charging.
Connect the charger to an electrical outlet.
NOTICE
If you put a hearing inrument in the wrong charging slot, the
receiver cable may be damaged when closing the charger's
lid.

Charging atus of hearing inruments
The LED next to the hearing inrument indicates the
charging atus of the hearing inrument. Note that the
atus is only displayed immediately after putting the
hearing inruments in the charger, when you briey
press the button or when you open the lid. When the
charger is o, no atus is displayed at all.

Low power indication of the hearing inruments
You will hear an alert signal to indicate the power cell is running
low. The signal will be repeated every 20 minutes. Depending on
the usage of your hearing inruments, you have approximately
1.5 hours to charge your hearing inruments before they op
working.
Turning on and o hearing inruments
You have the following options to turn your hearing inruments on
or o.
XTurning on: Take the inruments out of the charger.
The artup melody is played in your hearing inruments. The
default volume and hearing program are set.
XTurning o: Place the hearing inruments in the charger.
Note that the charger mu be on.

Switching to andby mode
Via remote control, you can switch your hearing inruments to
andby mode. This mutes the hearing inruments. When you leave
andby mode, the previously used volume and hearing program
are set.
Note:
● In andby mode, the hearing inruments are not turned o
completely. They draw some power.
Therefore we recommend to use andby mode only for a short
period of time.
● If you want to leave andby mode, but the remote control is
not at hand: Turn your hearing inruments o and on again
(by shortly placing them in the charger until one or more LEDs
light up). Wait until the artup melody is played in your hearing
inruments. This may take several seconds. Note that the
default volume and hearing program are set.

Inserting and removing the hearing inruments
Your hearing inruments have been ne-tuned for your right and
left ear. Colored markers indicate the side:
● red marker = right ear
● blue marker = left ear
Inserting a hearing inrument:

CAUTION
Risk of injury!
XInsert the ear piece carefully and not too deeply into the
ear.
● It may be helpful to insert the right hearing inrument
with the right hand and the left hearing inrument with
the left hand.
● If you have problems inserting the ear piece, use the
other hand to gently pull your earlobe downwards. This
opens the ear canal and eases insertion of the ear piece.

The optional retention rand helps to securely retain the ear piece
in your ear. To position the retention rand:

it carefully into the bottom of the bowl of
your ear (refer to the picture).

have the ear piece removed by a medical professional.

Depending on the liening situation, your hearing inruments
automatically adju their sound.
Your hearing inruments may also have several hearing programs
which allow you to change the sound, if needed. An optional signal
tone can indicate the program change.

Charging the internal battery with wireless Qi-charging
XPlace the charger on a wireless Qi certied transmitter pad. After
a few seconds the internal battery will art charging indicated by
the pulsing green LED of the charger.
When hearing inruments are inserted they art charging
as well indicated by the pulsing green LED of the hearing
inruments LED. If the LED is o, please re-align the charger to
the center of the Qi transmitter pad.

Checking the battery capacity of your charger
To check whether the charger's internal battery has
enough capacity to fully charge your hearing inruments
when you are mobile:
XDisconnect the charger from the electrical outlet.
XBriey press the button.
The front LED indicates the atus of the charger's
internal battery for 7 seconds.

Connect the charger to an electrical outlet, wait several minutes
and try again.

Special liening situations
On the phone
When you are on the phone, hold the
telephone receiver slightly above your ear.
The hearing inrument and telephone receiver
have to be aligned. Turn the receiver slightly
so that the ear is not completely covered.

Telephone program
You may prefer a certain volume when using the phone. Ask your
Hearing Care Professional to congure a telephone program.
XSwitch to the telephone program whenever you are on the
phone.

Audio reaming with iPhone
Your hearing inruments are Made for iPhone hearing
inruments. This means you can get phone calls and lien to
music from your iPhone directly into your hearing inruments.
For more information about compatible iOS devices, pairing, audio
reaming and other useful functions, contact your Hearing Care
Professional.

Airplane mode for hearing inruments
Airplane mode is when Bluetooth of your hearing inruments is
turned o. In areas where the use of Bluetooth technology is not
allowed (e.g. on some airplanes), you can deactivate Bluetooth
mode. This turns Bluetooth in your hearing inruments o
temporarily. The hearing inruments ill work without Bluetooth,
however direct audio reaming will not be possible and other
functions will not be available.
XTo deactivate or activate the Bluetooth mode, use the
smartphone app.
An alert tone indicates when Bluetooth mode is deactivated or
activated.

"Why do my hearing inruments not turn on when I take
them out of the charger?
Check the following:

"What should I pay attention to when charging?
The hearing inruments and charger mu be clean
and dry. Observe the operation conditions in section
"Operating, transport, and orage conditions". Avoid charging at
high temperatures, as this can shorten the life span and capacity of
the power cell.
If you use the charger in a very warm environment, note that
it will op charging if the hearing inruments or the charger's
temperature exceeds 42 °C (107 °F). The LED of the hearing
inrument and/or of the charger LED will pulsate orange during the
cooling phase. Charging resumes automatically after the device has
cooled down. Do not touch the hearing inruments until the front
LED pulsing green, the hearing inruments may be hot.

To prevent damage it is important that you take care of your hearing
inruments and follow a few basic rules, which will soon become a
part of your daily routine.
Hearing inruments
Cleaning
Your hearing inruments have a protective coating. However, if
not cleaned regularly you may damage the hearing inruments or
cause personal injury.
XClean your hearing inruments daily with a soft, dry tissue.
XNever use running water or immerse the
devices in water.
XNever apply pressure while cleaning.

Note that when you turn o the hearing inruments via a remote
control or smartphone app, the hearing inruments are not
turned o completely. They are in andby-mode and ill draw
some power.
● Long-term orage (weeks, months, ...): Fir, fully charge your
hearing inruments. Leave them in the charger with the lid
closed. Once the hearing inruments are fully charged the
charger and the hearing inruments are turned o automatically.
We recommend using drying products while oring the hearing
inruments.
At 6 month intervals you will have to charge the hearing
inruments to avoid an unrecoverable deep-discharge of the
power cell. Deep-discharged power cells cannot be charged
anymore and they have to be replaced. We recommend
recharging more frequently than 6 month intervals.

Exchanging
Exchange andard ear pieces approximately every three months.
Replace them sooner if you notice cracks or other changes. The

Charger has reached the temperature limit and is now in
a cooling phase. Charging is resumed after cooling down
(about 15 minutes).
● Do not touch the hearing inruments while the LEDs
are ashing orange. The hearing inruments may be
hot.
● In case the charger enters cooling phase multiple
times during charging, please make sure to place
the charger in an environment that complies with the
recommended operating conditions.

Uso del cargador
El cargador se puede utilizar de tres formas diintas.
Carga a través de enchufe de pared
Cuando el cargador eá enchufado o sobre un
cargador inalámbrico compatible Qi, ee carga
los audífonos (si eán colocados en el cargador)
y la pila integrada al mismo tiempo.
Mientras el cargador se eá cargado mediante
una fuente de alimentación externa, la luz LED
del cargador muera el eado de carga de la pila integrada y las
luces LED de los audífonos mueran el eado de los audífonos.

Para ahorrar energía después de la carga inalámbrica, las luces
LED se apagarán una vez que el cargador y los audífonos eén
completamente cargados.
Carga móvil
Los audífonos se pueden cargar aun cuando no se
disponga de un enchufe de pared. La energía pasa de la
pila integrada del cargador a los audífonos, para lo cual
el cargador debe ear conectado.

Mantenimiento
Cuando se complete la carga de los audífonos,
guárdelos dentro del cargador con la tapa cerrada.
En caso de que desee guardar los audífonos durante
más tiempo, puede apagar el cargador. El cargador
solo se puede apagar si no tiene ninguna fuente de
alimentación conectada.

Conexión y desconexión del cargador
Cuando el cargador eá enchufado a un enchufe de pared, se
conecta automáticamente y no se puede desconectar.
Durante la carga móvil, mantenga pulsado el botón durante
5 segundos para conectar o desconectar el cargador.
● Cuando el cargador se conecta, se muera el eado de los
audífonos y de la pila interna del cargador durante 7 segundos.
● Cuando el cargador se apaga, la luz LED frontal se enciende en
verde y se desvanece durante un período de aproximadamente
7 segundos. Se termina de apagar luego de aproximadamente

● Los audífonos no eán bien colocados. Empújelos ligeramente

Indicación de nivel bajo de batería de los audífonos
Se oirá una señal de aviso para indicar que la batería se eá
agotando. La señal se repetirá cada 20 minutos. Según el nivel de
uso de los audífonos, tiene aproximadamente 1,5 horas para cargar
los audífonos antes de que dejen de funcionar.
Conexión y desconexión de los audífonos
Dispone de las siguientes opciones para conectar y desconectar
los audífonos.
XConexión: Saque los audífonos del cargador.
Se reproduce la melodía de inicio en los audífonos.

Cambio al modo de reposo
Puede poner los audífonos en modo de espera (andby) con un
telemando. De ee modo se silencian los audífonos. Cuando se
sale del modo de espera, se recuperan el volumen y el programa
de audición utilizados anteriormente.
Nota:
● En el modo de espera, los audífonos no eán desconectados
completamente. Siguen consumiendo energía.
Por ee motivo, se recomienda utilizar el modo de espera solo
durante periodos breves.
● Si desea salir del modo de espera pero no tiene a mano el
telemando: Desconecte y vuelva a conectar los audífonos
(colocándolos brevemente en el cargador haa que se
enciendan uno o varios LED). Espere haa que se reproduzca
la melodía de inicio en los audífonos. Eo puede tardar varios
segundos. Se reablecen el volumen y el programa de audición
predeterminados.

Modo avión para los audífonos
El modo avión eá activado cuando la función de Bluetooth de los
audífonos eá desactivada. En áreas en las que no se permite el
uso de tecnología Bluetooth (por ejemplo, en algunos aviones),
puede desactivar el modo Bluetooth. Ea acción desactiva
la función de Bluetooth de los audífonos temporalmente. Los
audífonos siguen funcionando sin Bluetooth. Sin embargo, la

"¿Qué debo tener en cuenta a la hora de cargar los
audífonos?
Los audífonos y el cargador deben ear limpios y secos.
Respete las condiciones de funcionamiento de la sección
"Condiciones de funcionamiento, transporte y almacenamiento".
Evite realizar la carga a temperaturas elevadas, ya que se podría
reducir la vida útil y la capacidad de la pila.
Si debe utilizar el cargador en un entorno muy caluroso, tenga
en cuenta que, si la temperatura de los audífonos o del cargador
supera los 42 °C (107 °F), la carga se detendrá. La luz LED del
audífono o la luz LED del cargador parpadearán en naranja durante
la fase de enfriamiento. La carga se reanuda automáticamente una
vez que se enfría el dispositivo. No toque los audífonos mientras
las luces LED frontales parpadeen en naranja, ya que podrían ear
calientes.

El cargador ha alcanzado el límite de temperatura y ahora se
encuentra en fase de enfriamiento. La carga se reanudará
después de enfriarse (aproximadamente 15 minutos).
● No toque los audífonos mientras las luces LED
parpadeen en naranja. Los audífonos pueden ear
calientes.
● En caso de que el cargador entre en fase de
enfriamiento varias veces durante la carga, asegúrese
de colocarlo en un entorno que cumpla con las
condiciones de funcionamiento recomendadas.
