Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM. Cut out and use the "spacer" at the top of this page to measure 3" from one end of the INTERLOCK TRACK (22G). Position the INTERLOCK TRACK as shown. å å å ACTUATOR / TRACK ATTACHMENT: å Diagram 4. Repeat the ACTUATOR / TRACK ATTACHMENT for the next CABINET ACTUATOR while holding the previously completed CABINET ACTUATOR in its location hole. Repeat these steps until all ACTUATORS have been attached. å Visually check that all INTERLOCK TRACK edges have been engaged into the CABINET ACTUATORS as shown in diagram 3. Then, remove the INTERLOCK TRACK assembly from the END. You will use these parts in the next step. Diagram 2. Tilt the first edge of the INTERLOCK TRACK (22G) into the CABINET ACTUATOR (29G). Use eight GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S). å NOTE: For each EXTENSION RAIL, turn a SCREW into the hole shown in the enlarged diagram. Then, slide the inner cartridge of the EXTENSION RAIL out to find the other hole that lines up with the hole in the END. Turn a SCREW into this hole. Remember: Righty tighty. Lefty loosey. After fastening the RAILS to the ENDS, rest the INTERLOCK TRACK assembly against the RAILS. Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å Fasten the BACK (E) to your unit using four BROWN 7/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (6S) along the bottom edge and ten NAILS (1N) along the top and side edges. Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. Gently tilt the DRAWER SIDES side to side until the tabs slip into the slots. With the palm of your hand, tap the DRAWER BOTTOM down into the groove. Use two GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S). Insert a SLIDE CAM (10A) into the large hole in the RIGHT DRAWER SIDE (D430). Insert the tabs on one of the DRAWER ACTUATORS (20G) into the slots in an EXTENSION SLIDE (O). 3S å Repeat this step for the other drawer. Insert a SLIDE CAM (10A) into the large hole in the LEFT DRAWER SIDE (D429). Fasten one of the EXTENSION SLIDES (O) to the LEFT DRAWER SIDE (D429). The FILE GLIDES are necessary to hang files. å Fasten a FILE BRACKET (12B) to the DRAWER FRONT (G). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Fasten a FILE BRACKET (12B) to the DRAWER BACK (D61). Use two BROWN 7/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (6S). å Repeat this step for the other drawer. 12B 6S BROWN 7/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (4 used for the DRAWER BACKS) D61 6B G D430 12B 1S BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (4 used for the DRAWER FRONTS) Page 18 418647 www.sauder.com/services Step 15 å Slide the FILE RODS (9B) through a FILE BAR (1B), through the holes in the FILE BRACKETS (12B), through another FILE BAR (1B), and into the FILE GLIDE (6B) on the RIGHT DRAWER SIDE (D430). å Slide another FILE GLIDE (6B) onto the other end of the FILE RODS (9B), then press this FILE GLIDE over the LEFT DRAWER SIDE (D429). å Repeat this step for the other drawer. Use the exact holes shown in the FILE GLIDES (6B) and FILE BRACKETS (12B) to insert the FILE RODS (9B) through. Use these holes. Pro Tip: Lift with your legs. And, you know, your arms. To insert a drawer into your unit, line up the EXTENSION SLIDES on the drawer with the EXTENSION RAILS on the unit and push the drawer into the unit until the drawer is fully inserted. The drawer will push in hard until it is all the way in, then it will slide in and out easier. See the next step for drawer adjustments. 40 lbs. 45 lbs. each www.sauder.com/services 418647 Page 21 Step 18 å To make adjustments to the drawers, loosen SCREW #4 in the SLIDES a 1/4 turn, then turn the cam clockwise or counter-clockwise. Notice how the drawer raises or lowers as you turn the cam. By adjusting the drawers this way, it will help the DRAWER FRONTS line up better when closed. Tighten the SCREWS when finished with adjustments. å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. å This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry. And to celebrate, why not share your success story? Loosen screw #4 a 1/4 turn, turn the cam a 1/4 turn maximum in both the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions to make adjustments, and then tighten screw #4. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. Attention : Ne pas relever l’élément dans sa position verticale avant d’avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L’élément risque de s’effondrer. Assembler l’élément sur un sol à moquette ou sur le carton vide pour éviter d’endommager l’élément ou le sol. Enfoncer dix EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES (1F) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B), le DESSOUS (D) et l'ENTRETOISES DE TIROIR (M63). Ensuite, insérer une CHEVILLE D’EXCENTRIQUE (2F) dans chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE. ÉTAPE 2 Insérer les ACTIONNEURS D’ÉLÉMENT (29G) dans les trous indiqués dans l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A). Séparer les COULISSES D’EXTENSION (O) des GLISSIÈRES D’EXTENSION (N) comme l’indique le schéma du haut. Faire attention car les pièces sont graissées. Utilisera la Glissière (N) dans l’ÉTAPE 4. Fixer l’EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B) au DESSUS (C). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Attention: Risque des dégâts ou blessures. Les Excentriques Escamotables doivent être serrés à bloc. Les Excentriques Escamotables que ne sont pas serrées à bloc peuvent desserrer et les pièces peuvent séparer. Pour serrer à bloc, faire tourner l'excentrique escamotable de 210 degrés. ÉTAPE 6 Fixer la MOULURE DE DESSUS (M) au DESSUS (C). Utiliser trois VIS ARGENTÉES TÊTE PLATE 28 mm (10S). Insérer quatre GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL (1R) dans l’ARRIÈRE INFÉRIEUR (F). ÉTAPE 3 Enfoncer l’ARRIÈRE INFÉRIEUR (F) à l’EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B). Schéma 1. Découper et utiliser "l’entretoise" en haut de cette page pour mesurer 76 mm d’une extrémité du RAIL DE VERROUILLAGE (22G). Positionner le RAIL DE VERROUILLAGE comme il l’est indiqué. ÉTAPE 7 FIXATION ACTIONNEUR/RAIL : Schéma 2. Incliner le premier chant du RAIL DE VERROUILLAGE (22G) dans l’ACTIONNEUR D’ÉLÉMENT (29G). Schéma 3. Faire pivoter le RAIL DE VERROUILLAGE et forcer pour enclencher le deuxième chant dans l’ACTIONNEUR D’ÉLÉMENT. Schéma 4. Répéter l’étape FIXATION ACTIONNEUR/RAIL pour l’ACTIONNEUR D’ÉLÉMENT suivant tout en maintenant l’ACTIONNEUR D’ÉLÉMENT préalablement terminé dans son trou d’emplacement. Répéter ces étapes jusqu’à ce que tous les ACTIONNEURS soient fixés. Vérifier visuellement que tous les chants du RAIL DE VERROUILLAGE sont bien enclenchés dans les ACTIONNEURS D’ÉLÉMENT comme l’indique le schéma 3. Retirer ensuite l’ensemble de RAIL DE VERROUILLAGE de l’EXTRÉMITÉ. Utiliser ces pièces à l’étape suivante. Fixer le DESSOUS (D) à l’EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 8 Fixer l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A) au DESSUS (C), au DESSOUS (D) et à l’ARRIÈRE INFÉRIEUR (F). Serrer quatre EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 9 Fixer cinq CONSOLES À ÉQUERRE (5G) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et au DESSOUS (D). Utiliser cinq VIS NOIRES TÊTE LARGE 14 mm (1S). Fixer le SOCLE (L) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et au DESSOUS (D). Utiliser cinq VIS NOIRES TÊTE LARGE 14 mm (1S). ÉTAPE 4 ÉTAPE 10 Insérer le RAIL DE VERROUILLAGE (22G) avec les ACTIONNEURS D’ÉLÉMENT (29G) dans la rainure de l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A) exactement comme l’indique le schéma. Attention : Ne pas relever l’élément dans sa position verticale avant d’avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L’élément risque de s’effondrer. Fixer deux GLISSIÈRES D’EXTENSION (N) à chaque EXTRÉMITÉ (A et B). Utiliser huit VIS DORÉES TÊTE PLATE 8 mm (3S). REMARQUE : Pour chaque GLISSIÈRE D’EXTENSION, faire tourner une VISdans le trou indiqué dans le schéma agrandi. Ensuite, enfiler la cartouche interne de la GLISSIÈRE D’EXTENSION vers l’extérieur pour trouver l’autre trou qui est aligné sur le trou dans l’EXTRÉMITÉ. Faire tourner une VIS dans ce trou. Page 24 Avec précaution, retourner l’élément sur ses chants avant et placer l’ARRIÈRE (E) sur l’élément. Veiller à avoir des marges égales le long des quatre chants de l’ARRIÈRE (E). Si besoin est, enfoncer sur les coins opposés de l’élément pour s’assurer d’être "d’équerre". Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D61) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D429 et D430) et l’ENTRETOISE DE TIROIR (M63). Utiliser cinq VIS NOIRES TÊTE PLATE 40 mm (30S). Répéter cette étape pour l’autre tiroir. REMARQUE : S'assurer que le FOND DE TIROIR (D729) s'encastre dans la rainure de l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D61). ÉTAPE 16 Répéter cette étape pour l’autre tiroir. ÉTAPE 12 Placer l’un des tiroirs dans sa position verticale sur le CÔTÉ GAUCHE DE TIROIR (D429). Insérer un EXCENTRIQUE DE COULISSE (10A) dans le gros trou dans le CÔTÉ DROIT DE TIROIR (D430). Fixer deux POIGNÉES (114K) et quatre MONTURES DE POIGNÉE (115K) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (G). Utiliser quatre VIS GRISES À MÉTAUX 15 mm (15S). Répéter cette étape pour l’autre tiroir. ÉTAPE 17 Relever, avec précaution, l’élément dans sa position verticale. Répéter cette étape pour l’autre tiroir. Pour insérer un tiroir dans l’élément, aligner les COULISSES D’EXTENSION du tiroir sur les GLISSIÈRES D’EXTENSION de l’élément et enfoncer le tiroir dans l’élément jusqu’à ce que le tiroir soit complètement inséré. Le tiroir offrira une certaine résistance jusqu’à ce qu’il soit complètement inséré dans l’élément, il glissera ensuite sans difficulté. Consulter l’étape suivante pour ajuster les tiroirs.
