Then, insert the metal end of twenty-eight CAM DOWELS (2F) into the HIDDEN CAMS. Do not tighten the HIDDEN CAMS in this step. Now, slide the END MOLDINGS (Z) onto the ENDS (A and B). To do this, line up the grooves in the MOLDINGS over the heads of the SCREWS in the ENDS. Using your hands, apply pressure on the MOLDINGS as you guide the MOLDINGS onto the ENDS. These edges should be even. Do not confuse these SETS once they are separated. Separate the WIDE EXTENSION SLIDES (HH) from the WIDE EXTENSION RAILS (GG) as shown in the upper diagram below. Be prepared, the parts are greasy. Fasten the WIDE EXTENSION RAILS (GG) to the ENDS (A and B) and UPRIGHTS (C3 and D3). Use eight GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S) through holes #1 and #3. NOTE: For each EXTENSION RAIL, turn a SCREW into the hole shown in the enlarged diagram. Then, slide the inner cartridge of the EXTENSION RAIL in to find the other holes that line up with the holes in the ENDS and UPRIGHTS. Turn a SCREW into this hole. How to use the SAUDER TWIST-LOCK® FASTENER Fasten the TOP (EE3) to the ENDS (A and B) and UPRIGHTS (C3 and D3). Tighten twelve HIDDEN CAMS. 1. Insert the dowel end of the FASTENER into the hole of the adjoining part. NOTE: The dowel end of the FASTENER must remain fully inserted in the hole of the adjoining part while locking the FASTENER. 2. Tighten the FASTENER with a Phillips screwdriver as tight as possible. Meet Part (EE3). This component has been engineered to be lighter, stronger, faster… well ok. Not technically faster. But definitely makes for a sturdier Executive Desk that’s easier to assemble and friendlier to the environment. The SPACERS will be tightened between the SUPPORT RODS and the TOP. Now, insert your screwdriver through the large hole in the middle of the TURNBUCKLE and turn the TURNBUCKLE another half turn. å NOTE: Tighten the TURNBUCKLE if the TOP ever begins to sag. Place the SPACERS (22A) under the SUPPORT RODS (23A and 24A) with the RODS resting in the grooves of the SPACERS. The drawer will push in hard until it is all the way in, then it will slide in and out easier. å To insert the KEYBOARD SHELF (M) into your unit, tip the front of the SHELF down and drop the rollers on the SHELF behind the rollers on the unit. Lift the front of the SHELF up and slide it into the unit. å Insert the GROMMET (10P) into the large hole in the TOP (EE3). Then, insert a GROMMET CAP (1P) onto the GROMMET. NOTE: Before inserting a drawer, be sure the INNER CARTRIDGE in the EXTENSION RAIL on your unit is all the way forward. The INNER CARTRIDGE should click into place against the BLACK TAB. Notice how the drawer raises or lowers as you turn the CAM. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. By adjusting the drawers this way, it will help the DRAWER FRONTS line up better when closed. Tighten the SCREW when finished with adjustments. å å å NOTE: Loosen screw #3 to make adjustments to the SMALL UPPER DRAWERS. NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry. Faire tourner six VIS TÊTE PLATE 14 mm NOIRES (32S) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) jusqu'à ce que l'épaulement des TROUS repose sur la surface des EXTRÉMITÉS. Assembler l'élément sur un sol à moquette ou sur le carton vide pour éviter d'endommager l'élément ou le sol. REMARQUE : Ne pas trop serrer les VIS. Pour commencer l'assemblage, enfoncer une FIXATION TWIST-LOCK® SAUDER (7F) dans les gros trous dans le VOILE DE FOND (G). ÉTAPE 2 Ne pas serrer les CAMES ESCAMOTABLES dans cette étape. Maintenant, enfiler les MOULURES D'EXTRÉMITÉ (Z) sur les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Pour cela, aligner les rainures des MOULURES sur les têtes des VIS dans les EXTRÉMITÉS. Avec les mains, appliquer une certaine pression sur les MOULURES pour guider les MOULURES sur les EXTRÉMITÉS. REMARQUE : Si la MOULURE soulève au-dessus les VIS, l'enlever et l'enfiler de nouveau. Enfoncer quarante EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES (1F) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B), les MONTANTS (C3 et D3), les deux DESSOUS (M60) et le VOILE DE FOND (G). Insérer ensuite vingt-huit CHEVILLES D'EXCENTRIQUE (2F) dans les EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 6 Fixer les autres PIEDS (H et I) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 3 Faire tourner douze VIS D'EXCENTRIQUE (8F) dans les PIEDS (H et I). ÉTAPE 7 ÉTAPE 4 Faire tourner trois VIS TÊTE PLATE 14 mm NOIRES (32S) dans le VOILE DE FOND (G) jusqu'à ce que l'épaulement des TROUS repose sur la surface du VOILE DE FOND. Fixer l’un des PIEDS (H et I) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. REMARQUE : Ne pas trop serrer les VIS. Maintenant, enfiler la MOULURE (Y) sur le VOILE DE FOND (G). Pour cela, aligner la rainure de la MOULURE sur les têtes des VIS dans le VOILE DE FOND. Avec les mains, appliquer une certaine pression sur la MOULURE pour guider la MOULURE sur le VOILE DE FOND. REMARQUE : Si la MOULURE soulève au-dessus les VIS, l'enlever et l'enfiler de nouveau. Page 36 408920 www.sauder.com/services ÉTAPE 8 ÉTAPE 11 Retourner le VOILE DE FOND (G) et fixer la MOULURE (Y) au VOILE DE FOND. Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 22 mm NOIRES (31S). Fixer les GLISSIÈRES D'ÉLÉMENT (40AW et 40AX) sur l'autre surface des MONTANTS (C3 et D3). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S). ÉTAPE 9 REMARQUE : Les GLISSIÈRES D'ÉLÉMENT ont une inscription “CABINET RIGHT” (droite) et “CABINET LEFT” (gauche) pour faciliter leur identification. REMARQUE : Avant de commencer cette étape, séparer les JEUX D’EXTENSION ÉTROITES (JJ2 et KK2) des JEUX D’EXTENSION LARGES (GG et HH). Ne pas confondre ces JEUX une fois qu’ils sont séparés. Séparer les COULISSES D'EXTENSION LARGES (HH) des GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION LARGES (GG) comme l'indique le schéma du haut. Faire attention car les pièces sont graissées. Fixer les GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION LARGES (GG) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et aux MONTANTS (C3 et D3). Utiliser huit VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S). REMARQUE : Pour chaque GLISSIÈRE D'EXTENSION, faire tourner une VIS dans le trou indiqué dans le schéma agrandi. Ensuite, enfiler la cartouche interne de la GLISSIÈRE D'EXTENSION vers l'intérieur pour trouver les autres trous qui sont alignés sur les trous dans les EXTRÉMITÉS et les MONTANTS. Faire tourner une VIS dans ce trou. ÉTAPE 10 Séparer les COULISSES D'EXTENSION ÉTROITES (KK2) des GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION ÉTROITES (JJ2) comme l'indique le schéma du haut. Faire attention car les pièces sont graissées. Fixer les GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION ÉTROITES (JJ2) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et aux MONTANTS (C3 et D3). Utiliser huit VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S). REMARQUE : Pour chaque GLISSIÈRE D'EXTENSION, faire tourner une VIS dans le trou indiqué dans le schéma agrandi. Ensuite, enfiler la cartouche interne de la GLISSIÈRE D'EXTENSION vers l'intérieur pour trouver l'autre trou qui est aligné sur le trou dans l’EXTRÉMITÉ et le MONTANT. Faire tourner une VIS dans ce trou. www.sauder.com/services ÉTAPE 12 Fixer les MONTANTS (C3 et D3) au VOILE DE FOND (G). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Attention: Risque des dégâts ou blessures. Les Excentriques Escamotables doivent être serrés à bloc. Les Excentriques Escamotables que ne sont pas serrées à bloc peuvent desserrer et les pièces peuvent séparer.Pour serrer à bloc, faire tourner l'excentrique escamotable de 210 degrés. ÉTAPE 13 Insérer quatre GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL (1R) dans les DESSOUS (M60). Insérer les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL (1R) situées sur l'une extrémité des DESSOUS (M60) dans les trous des MONTANTS (C3 et D3). Fixer les DESSOUS (M60) aux MONTANTS (C3 et D3). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 14 Fixer les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) aux DESSOUS (M60) et au VOILE DE FOND (G). Serrer huit EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. REMARQUE : S'assurer de bien insérer les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL situées sur les DESSOUS dans les trous des EXTRÉMITÉS. 408920 Page 37 ÉTAPE 15 ÉTAPE 19 Fixer le DESSUS (EE3) au VOILE DE FOND (G). Serrer cinq FIXATIONS TWIST-LOCK®. Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (K) à la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (M). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (2S). Fixer le DESSUS (EE3) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et aux MONTANTS (C3 et D3). Serrer douze EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Utilisation de la FIXATION TWIST-LOCK® SAUDER Fixer les CÔTÉS DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (L) à l'ARRIÈRE DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (K) et à la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (M). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (2S). 1. Insérer l'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION dans le trou de la pièce attenante. Fixer les CHARNIÈRES (12H) au DEVANT DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (J). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 16 mm ARGENT (23S). REMARQUE : L'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION doit rester complètement insérée dans le trou de la pièce attenante lorsque l'on bloque la FIXATION. Fixer les CHARNIÈRES (12H) à la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (M). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm ARGENT (54S). 2. Bien serrer la FIXATION à l'aide d'un tournevis Phillips. ÉTAPE 20 ÉTAPE 16 Fixer les COULISSES DE TIROIR (40AY et 40AZ) à la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (M). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 25 mm MARRON (18S). Fixer deux PLAQUES D’ANCRAGE (66G) au DESSUS (EE3). Utiliser huit VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm ARGENT (54S). REMARQUE : Les COULISSES DE TIROIR ont une inscription “DRAWER RIGHT” (droite) et une inscription “DRAWER LEFT” (gauche) pour faciliter leur identification. ÉTAPE 17 Fixer les POIGNÉES (24K) au DEVANT DE TABLETTE DE TIROIR (J). Utiliser deux VIS À MÉTAUX 25 mm DORÉES (50S). Insérer une extrémité de la COURTE TRINGLE DE SUPPORT (23A) à travers le MONTANT GAUCHE (D3) et dans la PLAQUE D'ANCRAGE (66G). ÉTAPE 21 Enfiler un TENDEUR (9A) sur l'autre extrémité de la COURTE TRINGLE DE SUPPORT (23A). REMARQUE : La tête de la COURTE TRINGLE DE SUPPORT devrait être située dans l'intérieur de l'ouverture rectangulaire au milieu du TENDEUR. ÉTAPE 18 Insérer l'extrémité non-filetée de la TIGE DE SUPPORT LONGUE (24A) à travers le MONTANT DROIT (C3) et dans la PLAQUE D'ANCRAGE (66G). 1. Insérer les CÔTÉS DE GRAND TIROIR (D28 et D29) en biseau dans la fente dans chaque extrémité du DEVANT DE CAISSON DU GRAND TIROIR (U). 2. Enfiler le FOND DE TIROIR (D707) dans les rainures des CÔTÉS DE GRAND TIROIR (D28 et D29) et du DEVANT DE CAISSON DU GRAND TIROIR (U). 3. Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE GRAND TIROIR (D78) aux CÔTÉS DE GRAND TIROIR (D28 et D29). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (30S). REMARQUE : S'assurer que le FOND DE TIROIR (D707) s'encastre dans la rainure de l'ARRIÈRE DE GRAND TIROIR (D78). Enfiler le TENDEUR (9A) sur l’extrémité filetée de la TIGE DE SUPPORT LONGUE (24A). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre grand tiroir. Placer les ESPACEURS (22A) sous les TRINGLES DE SUPPORT (23A et 24A) avec les TRINGLES reposent dans les rainures des ESPACEURS. ÉTAPE 22 Serrer le TENDEUR (9A) à la main jusqu'à ce qu’est serré fermement. Les ESPACEURS seront serrées entre les TRINGLES DE SUPPORT et le DESSUS. Maintenant, insérer le tournevis à travers le gros trou dans le milieu du TENDEUR et serrer le TENDEUR d'autre demi-tour. REMARQUE : Serrer davantage le TENDEUR si le DESSUS commençait à s'affaisser. 1. Insérer les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D132 et D138) en biseau dans la fente dans chaque extrémité du DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR (O). 2. Enfiler le FOND DE TIROIR (D707) dans les rainures des CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D132 et D138) et du DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR (O). 3. Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D77) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D132 et D138). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (30S). REMARQUE : S'assurer que le FOND DE TIROIR (D707) s'encastre dans la rainure de l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D77). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre tiroir. Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 28 mm ARGENT (10S) à travers le jeu inférieur de trous. Enfoncer une ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (15B) sur le CÔTÉ GAUCHE DE GRAND TIROIR (D29). Ensuite, fixer une POIGNÉE (7K) au DEVANT DE GRAND TIROIR (T). Utiliser deux VIS À MÉTAUX 32 mm ARGENT (35S) à travers le DEVANT DE CAISSON DU GRAND TIROIR (U), à travers le DEVANT DE TIROIR et dans la POIGNÉE. Fixer deux POIGNÉES (7K) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (N2). Utiliser quatre VIS À MÉTAUX 32 mm ARGENT (35S) à travers le DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR (O), à travers le DEVANT DE TIROIR et dans les POIGNÉES. REMARQUE : S’assurer d’utiliser le jeu de trous gauche. ÉTAPE 24 Fixer un DEVANT DE GRAND TIROIR (T) au DEVANT DE CAISSON DU GRAND TIROIR (U). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 28 mm ARGENT (10S) à travers le jeu inférieur de trous. Ensuite, fixer une POIGNÉE (7K) au DEVANT DE GRAND TIROIR (T). Utiliser deux VIS À MÉTAUX 32 mm ARGENT (35S) à travers le DEVANT DE CAISSON DU GRAND TIROIR (U), à travers le DEVANT DE TIROIR et dans la POIGNÉE. Fixer deux POIGNÉES (7K) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (N2). Utiliser quatre VIS À MÉTAUX 32 mm ARGENT (35S) à travers le DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR (O), à travers le DEVANT DE TIROIR et dans les POIGNÉES. REMARQUE : S’assurer d’utiliser le jeu de trous droit. Enfiler les GUIDES POUR DOSSIERS (8B) dans l'ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (15B) située sur le CÔTÉ GAUCHE DE GRAND TIROIR (D29). Enfiler une autre ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (15B) sur l'autre extrémité des GUIDES POUR DOSSIERS (8B) et appuyer cette ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS sur le CÔTÉ DROIT DE GRAND TIROIR (D28). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre grand tiroir. ÉTAPE 28 Relever, avec précaution, l'élément dans sa position verticale. REMARQUE : Avant d’insérer un tiroir, s’assurer la CARTOUCHE INTERNE de la GLISSIÈRE D'EXTENSION de l’unité est complètement vers l'avant. La CARTOUCHE INTERNE doit cliquer en place contre la PATTE NOIRE. Pour insérer un tiroir dans l'élément, aligner les COULISSES D'EXTENSION du tiroir sur les GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION de l'élément et enfoncer le tiroir dans l'élément jusqu'à ce que le tiroir soit complètement inséré. Le tiroir offrira une certaine résistance jusqu'à ce qu'il soit complètement inséré dans l'élément, il glissera ensuite sans difficulté. Pour insérer la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (M) dans l'élément, abaisser le devant de la TABLETTE et faire passer les roulettes qui sont sur la TABLETTE derrière les roulettes situées sur l'élément. Relever le devant de la TABLETTE et l'enfiler dans l'élément. Insérer le PASSE-CÂBLES (10P) dans le gros trou du DESSUS (EE3). Ensuite, insérer le COUVERCLE DE PASSE-CÂBLES (1P) sur le PASSE-CÂBLES. ÉTAPE 25 Insérer les EXCENTRIQUES DE COULISSE (10A) dans les gros trous des CÔTÉS DE GRAND TIROIR (D28 et D29). Fixer les COULISSES D'EXTENSION LARGE (HH) aux CÔTÉS DE GRAND TIROIR (D28 et D29) en utilisant les trous nº 1 et nº 4. Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S). REMARQUE : La tête de vis dans l'EXCENTRIQUE doit être visible à travers le trou fendu dans la COULISSE. Répéter cette étape pour l'autre grand tiroir. ÉTAPE 29 Pour ajuster les tiroirs, desserrer la VIS nº 4 dans les COULISSES un quart de tour et tourner ensuite la CAME dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre ou dans le sens contraire. Noter que le tiroir monte ou descend lorsque l'on tourne la CAME. Plus la vis dans le trou oblong est haute, plus le devant de tiroir sera haut. Plus la vis est basse, plus le devant de tiroir sera bas. Ajuster les tiroirs de cette manière permet aux DEVANTS DE TIROIR d'être mieux alignés une fois fermés. Resserrer la VIS après d'avoir ajusté. REMARQUE : Pour ajuster les PETITS TIROIRS SUPÉRIEURS desserrer la vis nº 3. ÉTAPE 26 REMARQUE : Prière de lire les informations importantes sur la sécurité figurant sur les pages arrière du manuel d’instructions. Insérer les EXCENTRIQUES DE COULISSE (10A) dans les gros trous des CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D132 et D138). Ceci complète l'assemblage. Nettoyer à l’aide d’une encaustique pour meubles ou d’un chiffon humide. Essuyer. Fixer les COULISSES D’EXTENSION ÉTROITES (KK2) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D132 et D138) en utilisant les trous nº 1 et nº 3. Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (FFF). REMARQUE : La tête de vis dans l'EXCENTRIQUE doit être visible à travers le trou fendu dans la COULISSE. Los Excéntricos Escondidos que no se aprieten completamente se aflojarán y las partes pueden separarse. Para apretar completamente, atornille el excéntrico escondido 210 grados. Inserte el extremo con cabilla del SUJETADOR dentro del agujero de la parte adjunta. NOTA: El extremo con cabilla del SUJETADOR debe quedarse completamente insertado en el agujero de la parte adjunta cuando se enclava el SUJETADOR. 2. Apriete el SUJETADOR lo más apretado posible con un destornillador Phillips (cruz). PASO 16 Fije dos PLACAS DE SOSTÉN (66G) al PANEL SUPERIOR (EE3). Utilice ocho TORNILLOS PLATEADOS DE CABEZA GRANDE de 14 mm (54S). PASO 17 Inserte un extremo de la VARILLA DE SOPORTE CORTA (23A) a través del PARAL IZQUIERDO (D3) y dentro de la PLACA DE SOSTÉN (66G). Deslice un TENSOR (9A) sobre el otro extremo de la VARILLA DE SOPORTE CORTA (23A). NOTA: La cabeza de la VARILLA DE SOPORTE CORTA debe estar dentro del interior de la abertura rectangular en el centro del TENSOR. PASO 18 Inserte el extremo sin roscado de la VARILLA DE SOPORTE LARGA (24A) a través del PARAL DERECHO (C3) y dentro de la PLACA DE SOSTÉN (66G). Utilice cuatro TORNILLOS MARRONES DE CABEZA PERDIDA de 25 mm (18S). NOTA: Las CORREDERAS DE CAJÓN tienen una inscripción "DRAWER RIGHT" (derecha) y una inscripción "DRAWER LEFT" (izquierda) para identificarlas fácilmente. Fije los TIRADORES (24K) a la CARA DE ESTANTE DE TECLADO (J). Utilice dos TORNILLOS DORADOS PARA METAL de 25 mm (50S). PASO 21 1. Inserte los LADOS DE CAJÓN GRANDE (D28 y D29) en ángulo dentro del encaje en cada extremo del FRENTE DE CAJÓN GRANDE (U). 2. Fije el DORSO DE CAJÓN GRANDE (D78) a los LADOS DE CAJÓN GRANDE (D28 y D29). Utilice cuatro TORNILLOS NEGROS DE CABEZA PERDIDA de 40 mm (30S). Utilice cuatro TORNILLOS DORADOS DE CABEZA PERDIDA de 8 mm (3S). NOTA: La cabeza de tornillo del EXCÉNTRICO debe ser visible a través del agujero alargado de la CORREDERA. Repita este paso para el otro cajón grande. PASO 26 Inserte los EXCÉNTRICOS DE CORREDERAS (10A) en los agujeros grandes de los LADOS DE CAJÓN (D132 y D138). Fije las CORREDERAS DE EXTENSIÓN ESTRECHAS (KK2) a los LADOS DE CAJÓN (D132 y D138) utilizando los agujeros No. 1 y No. 3. Utilice cuatro TORNILLOS DORADOS DE CABEZA PERDIDA de 8 mm (3S). NOTA: La cabeza de tornillo del EXCÉNTRICO debe ser visible a través del agujero alargado de la CORREDERA. NOTA: Antes de insertar un cajón, asegúrese que el CARTUCHO INTERNO del RIEL DE EXTENSIÓN en su unidad está hacia adelante. El CARTUCHO INTERNO debe hacer clic en su lugar contra la LENGÜETA NEGRA. Para insertar el ESTANTE DE TECLADO (M) dentro de la unidad, incline la parte delantera del ESTANTE hacia abajo y deje que los rodillos del ESTANTE caigan detrás de los rodillos de la unidad.
