Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (P2) into each HIDDEN CAM. Do not tighten the HIDDEN CAMS in this step. How to use the SAUDER TWIST-LOCK® FASTENER 1. Insert the dowel end of the FASTENER into the hole of the adjoining part. NOTE: The dowel end of the FASTENER must remain fully inserted in the hole of the adjoining part while locking the FASTENER. Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. 2. Tighten the FASTENER with a Phillips screwdriver as tight as possible. Unfold the BACK (I) and lay it over your unit. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (I). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å å Fasten the BACK (I) to your unit using the NAILS (FF). å NOTE: Perforations have been provided for access through the BACK. Carefully cut out the holes needed. Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. NOTE: Be sure to tap NAILS into the holes that line up over the UPRIGHTS (C and D). FF NAIL (38 used in this step) These holes must line up over the UPRIGHTS (C and D). Use four BLACK 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (EE). å Then, fasten the DRAWER SIDES (M) to the DRAWER FRONT (K). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (DD). å Repeat this step for the other drawer. Apply five pieces of TAPE to the DRAWER FRONT (K). å NOTE: You may want to crease the flap on the DRAWER BOTTOM (J) before applying the BOTTOM to the DRAWER FRONT (K). å Press the flap of the DRAWER BOTTOM (J) onto the DRAWER FRONT (K). å Fasten the DRAWER BACK (L) to the DRAWER SIDES (M). Use two BLACK 1-1/4" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (AA). å Repeat this step for the other drawer. Use ten NAILS (FF). å Repeat this step for the other drawer. Almost time to celebrate! With a nap. Apply four pieces of TAPE to the DRAWER BOTTOM (J) and stick the flaps of the DRAWER BOTTOM (J) onto the TAPE. å Fasten a KNOB (T) to the DRAWER FRONT (K). Use the SILVER 1-1/4" BOLTS (117S), NUTS (Y) and WASHERS (Z). å This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry. Push a CAM COVER (X) onto each visible HIDDEN CAM. Fasten the HEADBOARD BRACKETS (Q) to the ENDS (A and B). Use eight BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (DD). Fixer la TABLETTE (G) aux MONTANTS (C et D). Serrer quatre FIXATIONS TWIST-LOCK®. Assembler l'élément sur un sol à moquette ou sur le carton vide pour éviter d'endommager l'élément ou le sol. Pour commencer l'assemblage, enfoncer une FIXATION TWIST-LOCK® SAUDER (N) dans les gros trous des MONTANTS (C et D). ÉTAPE 2 Ne pas serrer les EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES dans cette étape. Enfoncer douze EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES (O2) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B), le PANNEAU (F) et la TABLETTE (G). Ensuite, insérer l'extrémité en métal de la CHEVILLE D'EXCENTRIQUE (P2) dans chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE. ÉTAPE 3 À l'aide d'un marteau, enfoncer légèrement quatre GOUPILLES DE SUPPORT (W) dans les trous des EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et les MONTANTS (C et D). ÉTAPE 7 Fixer l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B) au DESSUS (E) et à la TABLETTE (G). Serrer quatre EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. REMARQUE : S'assurer de bien insérer les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL situées sur la PETITE TABLETTE (H) dans les trous dans l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B). Attention: Risque des dégâts ou blessures. Les Excentriques Escamotables doivent être serrés à bloc. Les Excentriques Escamotables que ne sont pas serrées à bloc peuvent desserrer et les pièces peuvent séparer. Pour serrer à bloc, faire tourner l'excentrique escamotable de 210 degrés. ÉTAPE 8 Fixer cinq CONSOLES À ÉQUERRE (R) au PANNEAU (F). Utiliser cinq VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (DD). REMARQUE : S'assurer que les chants des CONSOLES À ÉQUERRE sont à fleur du chant du PANNEAU. Placer, avec précaution, l'élément sur le DESSUS (E). ÉTAPE 4 Fixer le PANNEAU (F) à l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Attention: Ne pas relever l'élément dans sa position verticale avant d'avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L'élément risque de s'effondrer. Ensuite, fixer le PANNEAU (F) à la TABLETTE (G). Utiliser cinq VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (DD). Utilisation de la FIXATION TWIST-LOCK® SAUDER 1. Insérer l'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION dans le trou de la pièce attenante. REMARQUE : L'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION doit rester complètement insérée dans le trou de la pièce attenante lorsque l'on bloque la FIXATION. 2. Bien serrer la FIXATION à l'aide d'un tournevis Phillips. ÉTAPE 9 Fixer l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A) au DESSUS (E), à la TABLETTE (G) et au PANNEAU (F). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. REMARQUE : S'assurer de bien insérer les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL situées sur la PETITE TABLETTE (H) dans les trous dans l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A). Fixer les MONTANTS (C et D) au DESSUS (E). Serrer deux FIXATIONS TWIST-LOCK®. ÉTAPE 5 Insérer quatre GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL (V) dans chaque PETITE TABLETTE (H). Insérer les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL (V) situées sur l'une extrémité des PETITES TABLETTES (H) dans les trous des MONTANTS (C et D). Page 22 410147 www.sauder.com/services ÉTAPE 10 ÉTAPE 13 Attention: Ne pas relever l'élément dans sa position verticale avant d'avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L'élément risque de s'effondrer. Retourner soigneusement le tiroir et plier le FOND DE TIROIR (J) de manière qu’il repose sur l’ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (L) et les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (M). Avec précaution, retourner l'élément sur ses chants avant. Déplier l'ARRIÈRE (I) et le placer sur l'élément. Veiller à avoir des marges égales le long des quatre chants de l'ARRIÈRE (I). Si besoin est, enfoncer sur les coins opposés de l'élément pour s'assurer d'être « d'équerre ». Fixer l'ARRIÈRE (I) à l'élément à l'aide des CLOUS (FF). REMARQUE : S'assurer de bien enfoncer les CLOUS dans les trous qui sont alignés sur les MONTANTS (C et D). REMARQUE : Des lignes perforées ont été prévues pour accéder facilement à l'ARRIÈRE. Découper avec précaution les trous nécessaires. ÉTAPE 11 Fixer les CONSOLES DE DEVANT DE TIROIR (S) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (M). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 13 mm NOIRES (EE). Ensuite, fixer les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (M) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (K). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (DD). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre tiroir. ÉTAPE 12 Décoller le RUBAN double face de la CARTE DE RUBAN ADHÉSIF (U). Appliquer cinq morceaux de RUBAN sur le DEVANT DE TIROIR (K). REMARQUE : Il est conseillé de plier le rabat du FOND DE TIROIR (J) avant d’appliquer le FOND sur le DEVANT DE TIROIR (K). Fixer le FOND DE TIROIR (J) à l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (L) et aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (M). Utiliser dix CLOUS (FF). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre tiroir. ÉTAPE 14 REMARQUE : Il est conseillé de plier les rabats du FOND DE TIROIR (J) avant d’appliquer le RUBAN sur le FOND DE TIROIR. Décoller le RUBAN double face de la CARTE DE RUBAN ADHÉSIF (U). Appliquer quatre morceaux de RUBAN sur le FOND DE TIROIR (J) et coller les rabats du FOND DE TIROIR (J) sur le RUBAN. Fixer la BOUTON (T) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (K). Utiliser une VIS À MÉTAUX 25 mm DORÉE (CC). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre tiroir. ÉTAPE 15 Relever, avec précaution, l'élément dans sa position verticale et insérer les tiroir dans l'élément. Enfoncer un COUVERCLE D'EXCENTRIQUE (X) sur chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE visible. Fixer les CONSOLES DE TÊTE DE LIT (Q) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Utiliser huit VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (DD). Utiliser les trous qui sont le mieux adaptés pour la hauteur du cadre de lit. Coller le rabat du FOND DE TIROIR (J) sur le DEVANT DE TIROIR (K). Fixer le cadre de lit sur les CONSOLES DE TÊTE DE LIT (Q). Utiliser les BOULONS ARGENT 32 mm (117S), les ÉCROUS (Y) et les RONDELLES (Z). Fixer l’ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (L) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (M). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 32 mm NOIRES (AA). Ceci complète l'assemblage. Nettoyer à l’aide d’une encaustique pour meubles ou d’un chiffon humide. Essuyer. Fije el ESTANTE (G) a los PARALES (C y D). Apriete cuatro SUJETADORES TWIST-LOCK®. Ensamble la unidad sobre un piso alfombrado o sobre el cartón vacío para evitar rayar la unidad o el piso. (Sauder®) provides limited warranty coverage to the original purchaser of this product for a period of five years from the date of purchase against defects in materials or workmanship of Sauder furniture components. As used in this Warranty, “defect” means imperfections in components which substantially impair the utility of the product. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. 2. There is no warranty coverage for defects or conditions that result from the failure to follow product assembly instructions, information or warnings, misuse or abuse, intentional damage, fire, flood, alteration or modification of the product, or use of the product in a manner inconsistent with its intended use, nor any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning, or care. There is also no warranty coverage for rented products or any products purchased “used” or “as is”, at a distress or going-out-of business sale, or from a liquidator. 3. As the exclusive remedy under this Warranty, Sauder will (at its sole option) repair, replace or refund the value of any defective furniture component. Sauder may require independent confirmation of the claimed defect and proof of purchase. Replacement parts will be warranted for only the remaining period of the original Warranty.
