Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM, except in the short edges of the ENDS (A and B), short edges of the UPRIGHTS (C and D), BACKS (H and I) and MOLDINGS (S and T). Some assembly (and snacks) required. Slide the END MOLDINGS (U) onto the ENDS (A and B). Line up the grooves in the MOLDINGS over the heads of the SCREWS in the ENDS. These edges should be even. Use eight GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S). å NOTE: For each EXTENSION RAIL, turn a SCREW into the hole shown in the enlarged diagram. Then, slide the inner cartridge of the EXTENSION RAIL in to find the other hole that lines up with the hole in the END. Turn a SCREW into this hole. V W Push the black lever in and pull the SLIDE from the RAIL. Tighten six HIDDEN CAMS. Now might be a good time to refresh your drink. Fasten the RIGHT END ASSEMBLY to the SMALL BACK (I) and BOTTOM ASSEMBLY on the right end of your unit. Tighten six HIDDEN CAMS. Fasten the TOP (E) to the ENDS (A and B) and UPRIGHTS (C and D). Tighten eight HIDDEN CAMS. 1. Insert the dowel end of the FASTENER into the hole of the adjoining part. å Fasten the TOP (E) to the LARGE BACK (H). Tighten two TWIST-LOCK® FASTENERS. NOTE: The dowel end of the FASTENER must remain fully inserted in the hole of the adjoining part while locking the FASTENER. How to use the SAUDER TWIST-LOCK® FASTENER 2. Use three BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å NOTE: Be sure the BRACKETS are even with the edges of the MOLDING. å Fasten the TOP MOLDING (R) to the TOP (E). Use three BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). 4G R 1S BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (6 used in this step) E R Page 18 418072 www.sauder.com/services Step 15 VIEW THE T-SLOT BOX VIDEO Tap down with your screwdriver and hammer. 1 10G D49 Q D49 1S D48 BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (8 used in this step) å Pull the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS (10G) apart and slide them into the grooves in the DRAWER SIDES (D48 and D49). You may need to gently tap them in with a hammer. å å NOTE: The DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS are marked “RH” and “LH” for easy identification. Fasten the DRAWER FRONT (Q) to the DRAWER FRONT BRACKETS (10G). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). With the palm of your hand, tap the DRAWER BOTTOM down into the groove. 2 D953 3 Start each screw a few turns before completely tightening any of them. 30S BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREW (8 used in this step) UN FIN ISH ED D151 D48 D49 D48 Q D49 Be sure the DRAWER BOTTOM inserts into the DRAWER BACK groove. Be sure the DRAWER BOTTOM inserts into the DRAWER FRONT groove. å Slide the DRAWER BOTTOM (D953) into the grooves in the DRAWER SIDES (D48 and D49) and DRAWER FRONT (Q). www.sauder.com/services å Fasten the DRAWER BACK (D151) to the DRAWER SIDES (D48 and D49). Use four BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (30S). Repeat this step for the other drawer. 418072 Page 19 Step 16 å Fasten the EXTENSION SLIDES (W) to the DRAWER SIDES (D48 and D49). Use four GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S) through holes #1 and #3. å Fasten a KNOB SET (100K) to the DRAWER FRONT (Q). Use a SILVER 1/2" MACHINE SCREW (38S). Slide the FILE RODS (7B) into the FILE GLIDE (4B) on the DRAWER RIGHT SIDE (D48). Almost time to celebrate! With a nap. Insert the FILE RODS into the holes of your choice in the FILE GLIDES, depending on your file sizes. 7B 4B 7B D49 4B D48 www.sauder.com/services 418072 Page 21 Step 18 å To insert the drawers into your unit, line up the EXTENSION SLIDES on the drawer with the EXTENSION RAILS on the unit and push the drawer into the unit until the drawer is fully inserted. The drawers will push in hard until it is all the way in, then it will slide in and out easier. å å Push a CAM COVER (19P) onto each HIDDEN CAM. å This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry. NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. Assembler l'élément sur un sol à moquette ou sur le carton vide pour éviter d'endommager l'élément ou le sol. Fixer les PIEDS (L et O) et une MOULURE DE DESSOUS LATÉRALE (T) au MONTANT (C). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Pour commencer l'assemblage, enfoncer une FIXATION TWIST-LOCK® SAUDER (12F) dans les gros trous dans le GRAND ARRIÈRE (H). Fixer les PIEDS (K et P) et une MOULURE DE DESSOUS LATÉRALE (T) au MONTANT GAUCHE (D). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 2 ÉTAPE 7 Enfoncer soixante-douze EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES (1F) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B), les MONTANTS (C et D), les DESSOUS (F et G), les ARRIÈRES (H et I) et les MOULURES (S et T). Insérer ensuite l'extrémité en métal d'une CHEVILLE D’EXCENTRIQUE (2F) dans chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE, à l'exception des chants courts des EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B), de chants courts des MONTANTS (C et D), les ARRIÈRES (H et I) et les MOULURES (S et T). Séparer les COULISSES D'EXTENSION (W) des GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION (V) comme l'indique le schéma agrandi ci-dessous. Faire attention car les pièces sont graissées. ÉTAPE 3 Faire tourner quarante-quatre VIS D'EXCENTRIQUE (8F) dans les PIEDS (K, L, M, N, O et P). ÉTAPE 4 Faire tourner quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 14 mm NOIRES (32S) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) jusqu'à ce que l'épaulement des VIS repose sur la surface des EXTRÉMITÉS. Enfiler les MOULURES D'EXTRÉMITÉ (U) sur les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Aligner la rainure des MOULURES sur les têtes des VIS dans les EXTRÉMITÉS. ÉTAPE 5 Retourner les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Fixer les PIEDS (K et M) et une MOULURE DE DESSOUS LATÉRALE (T) à l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Fixer les PIEDS (L et N) et une MOULURE DE DESSOUS LATÉRALE (T) à l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Fixer les GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION (V) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et aux MONTANTS (C et D). Utiliser huit VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S). REMARQUE : Pour chaque GLISSIÈRE D'EXTENSION, faire tourner une VIS dans le trou indiqué dans le schéma agrandi. Ensuite, enfiler la cartouche interne de la GLISSIÈRE D'EXTENSION vers l'intérieur pour trouver l'autre trou qui est aligné sur le trou dans l’EXTRÉMITÉ. Faire tourner une VIS dans ce trou. ÉTAPE 8 Insérer une CHEVILLE EN BOIS (15F) dans chaque chant court d'un DESSOUS (F). Poser deux DESSOUS EXTERNES (G) au côté du DESSOUS (F) comme l'indique le schéma. Fixer deux MOULURES DE DESSOUS (S) aux DESSOUS (F et G). Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. REMARQUE : S’assurer d’insérer les CHEVILLES EN BOIS dans les MOULURES DE DESSOUS. Répéter cette étape pour les autres DESSOUS (F et G) et les MOULURES DE DESSOUS (S). Attention: Risque des dégâts ou blessures. Les Excentriques Escamotables doivent être serrés à bloc. Les Excentriques Escamotables que ne sont pas serrées à bloc peuvent desserrer et les pièces peuvent séparer. Pour serrer à bloc, faire tourner l'excentrique escamotable de 210 degrés. ÉTAPE 9 Fixer les PIEDS ARRIÈRE INTERMÉDIAIRE (O et P) au GRAND ARRIÈRE (H). Serrer quatre EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Fixer l'ENTRETOISE (J) sur les PIEDS ARRIÈRE INTERMÉDIAIRE (O et P). ÉTAPE 12 Fixer l'assemblage de l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE au PETIT ARRIÈRE (I) et le assemblage du DESSOUS sur l'extrémité gauche de l'élément. Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Fixer l'assemblage de l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE au PETIT ARRIÈRE (I) et le assemblage du DESSOUS sur l'extrémité droite de l'élément. Serrer six EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 13 Relever, avec précaution, l'élément dans sa position verticale. Fixer le DESSUS (E) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et aux MONTANTS (C et D). Serrer huit EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Fixer le DESSUS (E) au GRAND ARRIÈRE (H). Serrer deux FIXATIONS TWIST-LOCK®. Utilisation de la FIXATION TWIST-LOCK® SAUDER 1. Insérer l'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION dans le trou de la pièce attenante. REMARQUE : L'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION doit rester complètement insérée dans le trou de la pièce attenante lorsque l'on bloque la FIXATION. 2. Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 1 et nº 3. Fixer l'ENSEMBLE DE BOUTONS (100K) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (Q). Utiliser une VIS À MÉTAUX 13 mm ARGENTÉE (38S). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre tiroir. ÉTAPE 17 Enfoncer une ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (4B) sur le CÔTÉ DROIT DE TIROIR (D48). Enfiler les GUIDES POUR DOSSIERS (7B) dans l'ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (4B) située sur le CÔTÉ DROIT DE TIROIR (D48). Enfiler une autre ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (4B) sur l'autre extrémité des GUIDES POUR DOSSIERS (7B) et appuyer cette ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS sur le CÔTÉ GAUCHE DE TIROIR (D49). Répéter cette étape pour l'autre tiroir. ÉTAPE 18 Pour insérer les tiroirs dans l'élément, aligner les COULISSES D'EXTENSION du tiroir sur les GLISSIÈRES D'EXTENSION de l'élément et enfoncer le tiroir dans l'élément jusqu'à ce que le tiroir soit complètement inséré.
