2. Intended purpose

The hair dryer is intended exclusively for

the purpose of drying and styling real,

own human head hair.

The device is designed for private home

use and must not be used for commercial

purposes.

The device must only be used indoors.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE OPERATION

This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and people

with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or people

without adequate experience and/or understanding, if they are su-

pervised or instructed on how to use this device safely and if they

are aware of the resulting risks. Children must not play with the de-

vice. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by

children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.

Children under the age of 8 must be kept away from the device

and the power cable.

If you use the hair dryer in a bathroom, always pull out the mains

plug afterwards because of the safety risks when it is close to wa-

ter. The proximity of water represents a hazard even when the de-

vice is switched off.

If the mains cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer

or its service agent or a similarly qualified person, to avoid danger.

Installation of a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) with a rated

residual operating current of no more than 30 mA is recommended

to provide additional protection. Ask your electrician for advice.

The installation should only be carried out by a qualified electri-

cian.

Risk for babies and children

~To avoid danger of suffocation,

keep this plastic bag away from ba-

bies and children. Do not use this

bag in cribs, beds, carriages, or

playpens. This bag is not a toy.

~Keep the device out of the reach of

children.

Risk to or from pets and

livestock

~Electrical devices can represent a

hazard to pets and livestock. In ad-

dition, animals can also cause dam-

age to the device. For this reason

you should keep animals away from

electrical devices at all times.

Risk of electric shock due to

moisture

~Do not use this device in the vicinity

of bathtubs, showers, washbowls or

other vessels containing water.

~Never place the device anywhere

that it could fall into water while

plugged in.

~Protect the device from moisture,

water drops and water spray.

~The base, the mains power cable

and the mains plug must not be im-

mersed in water or any other liq-

uids.

~If liquid gets into the device, pull out

the mains plug immediately. Have

the device checked before reusing.

~If the device has fallen into water,

pull out the mains plug immediately,

and only then remove the device

from the water. Do not use the de-

vice again, and have it checked by

a specialist.

~Never touch the device with wet

hands.

Risk of electric shock

~Do not use the device if the device

or the power cable has any visible

damage, or if the device has previ-

ously been dropped.

~Lay the power cable such that no

one can step on it, become entan-

gled with it or trip over it.

~Only connect the mains plug to a

properly installed and easily acces-

sible outlet whose voltage corre-

sponds to the specifications on the

rating plate. The outlet must contin-

ue to be easily accessible after the

device is plugged in.

~Ensure that the power cable cannot

be damaged by sharp edges or hot

points. Do not wrap the power ca-

ble around the device (risk of cable

damage!).

~Ensure that the power cable cannot

be trapped or crushed.

~To pull the mains plug out of the out-

let, always pull on the mains plug,

and never on the power cable.

~Disconnect the mains plug from the

burning

~Do not direct the flow of hot air into

eyes, onto hands, or onto any other

heat-sensitive body parts.

~Do not touch the hot surfaces of the

device.

~Allow the device to cool down com-

pletely before you clean it or put it

away.

~Allow all attachments to cool down

before removing them from the de-

vice.

Risk of material damage

~Use the original accessories only.

~Never place the device on hot sur-

faces (e.g. stovetops) or near heat

sources or open fires.

~Do not use any astringent or abra-

sive cleaning agents.

~Do not expose the device to tem-

peratures below 14 °F or above

104 °F.

6. Operation

NOTICE:

Before using for the first time, switch the

device on for a few minutes and allow

it to run at the highest speed and tem-

perature settings. As a result of the man-

ufacturing process, you may notice a

slight odor. This is normal and only oc-

curs during first use. Ensure that the

room is well ventilated.

Switching on/off and adjusting

speed

1. Connect the mains plug|5 with an

easily accessible outlet.

2. By using the on/off switch|7 and

the switch for the speed settings,

you can switch the device on and

select the desired speed for the air

flow:

0=off

= slow; gentle air flow

= fast; strong air flow

3. After drying, switch the on/off

switch|7 to 0 (off) and pull out the

mains plug.

Selecting the temperature

Use the switch for the hot air settings|8

to select the desired temperature for the

air flow:

= low temperature

= medium temperature

= high temperature

Cooling function

In order to improve the durability of

your hair style, you can cool the hair af-

ter it has been styled with hot air using

the button|9.

Keep the button|9 held down during

drying in order to get a cool air flow, ir-

respective of the starting temperature.

When you no longer require the cool

air flow, release the button|9 .

Ionization function

You can use the ion switch|4 to addi-

tionally activate the ionization function,

whatever setting you are using. This

then applies ions to the hair continuous-

ly.

This reduces the static loading of the

hair and improves its stylability.

The hair becomes soft, smooth, glossy,

and easier to style.

• Ion function on, LED|1 lights up

• Ion function off, LED|1 off

TIP:

We recommend the use without attach-

ments for the optimum activity of the

ions.

Styling attachment

The styling attachment|11 makes it pos-

sible to direct the air flow onto specific

sections of hair.

1. Place the styling attachment|11

onto the front of the hair dryer, so

that it locks into position.

2. The styling attachment|11 can be

rotated into any position desired.

3. Do not remove the styling attach-

ment|11 from the hair dryer until it

has cooled down.

Diffuser

Use the diffuser|12 to create curls and

gentle waves in the lengths and tips, as

well as for body and volume at the roots

of the hair.

1. Figure A: place the diffuser|12

onto the hair dryer.

2. Switch on the hair dryer.

3. Use:

- For long hair: draw diffuser|12

through to the tips, and style the

hair into gentle waves in the di-

rection of the roots.

- For short hair: use the diffuser|12

to work on the hair around the

roots, generating body and vol-

ume.

4. Do not remove the diffuser|12 from

the hair dryer until it has cooled

down.

7. Cleaning

Risk of electric shock

~Pull the mains plug|5 out of the out-

let before you clean the hair dryer.

Risk of material damage

~Do not use any astringent or abra-

sive cleaning agents.

Clean the device regularly. Particularly

ensure that the air inlet and outlet are

free of dust, hair and fluff.

• Wipe down the casing, the protec-

tive grid|2 at the air inlet|3, and

the styling attachment|11 using a

damp cloth.

• Remove the styling attachment|11 or

the diffuser|12 from the hair dryer.

Hold the hair dryer with the air out-

let|10 pointing downwards. Clean

the protective discs using a brush.

Cleaning the protective grid

1. Rotate the protective grid|2 a little

bit counterclockwise and then

remove it.

2. Hold the hair dryer with the air

inlet pointing downwards. Clean

the inside and the outside protec-

tive grid using a brush.

3. Replace the protective grid|2.

Cleaning the attachments

1. Do not remove an attachment

(11,|12) from the hair dryer until it

has cooled down.

2. Wipe the attachment (11,|12) with

a damp cloth.

3. Allow the attachment (11,|12) to

dry completely before you use it

again.

8. Storage

Risk for children

~Keep the device out of the reach of

children.

Risk of material damage

~Do not wrap the cable around the

device (risk of cable damage!).

• You can use the hook loop|6 to

safely and practically hang up the

device for storage purposes.

9. Disposal

This appliance must not be disposed of as

household garbage.

If the electrical appliance is no longer

be used, it must be handed over to the

relevant local public waste authorities

for disposal.

As a rule, these waste disposal authori-

ties run special reception units for elec-

trical appliances (recycling centers,

materials recovery centers etc.).

INSTRUCCIONES PARA UN

FUNCIONAMIENTO SEGURO

Los niños mayores de 8 años de edad y las personas con discapa-

cidades físicas, sensoriales o intelectuales, o que carezcan de la

experiencia y los conocimientos necesarios, pueden usar este dis-

positivo bajo supervisión o habiendo recibido indicaciones sobre

el uso seguro del dispositivo, y siendo conscientes de los posibles

riesgos inherentes. Los niños no deben jugar con este dispositivo.

La limpieza y el mantenimiento por parte del usuario no deben ser

realizados por niños, a menos que sean mayores de 8 años y es-

tén supervisados.

Los niños menores de 8 años de edad deben mantenerse alejados

de este dispositivo y del cable de alimentación.

Si utiliza el secador de cabello en el baño, siempre desenchufe el

enchufe de conexión a la red después del uso debido a los riesgos

de seguridad cuando está cerca del agua. La proximidad al agua

representa un riesgo, incluso cuando el interruptor del dispositivo

está apagado.

Para evitar peligros, si el cable de conexión a la red está dañado,

Riesgo para y debido a las

Riesgo de descarga eléctrica

debido a la humedad

~No utilice este dispositivo cerca de

bañeras, duchas, lavamanos u

otros recipientes que contengan

agua.

~Nunca coloque el dispositivo en

ningún lugar desde donde pueda

caer al agua mientras esté enchufa-

do.

~Proteja el dispositivo de la hume-

dad y de las gotas o las salpicadu-

ras de agua.

~La base, el cable de alimentación y

el enchufe de conexión a la red no

se deben sumergir en agua ni en

ningún otro líquido.

~Si penetraran líquidos en el disposi-

tivo, desenchúfelo inmediatamente.

Haga que revisen el dispositivo an-

tes de volver a utilizarlo.

~Si el dispositivo cae al agua, desen-

chúfelo inmediatamente y sáquelo

del agua solo después de desen-

chufarlo. En este caso, no use más

el dispositivo y haga que lo revise

un especialista.

~No toque nunca el dispositivo con

las manos mojadas.

Riesgo de descarga eléctrica

~No utilice el dispositivo si el disposi-

tivo o el cable de alimentación tie-

ne algún daño visible o si

previamente ha caído el dispositi-

vo.

~Coloque el cable de alimentación

de manera que nadie pueda pisar-

lo, enredarse o tropezar con él.

~Conecte el enchufe de conexión a

la red a un tomacorriente de fácil

acceso e instalado adecuadamente

cuyo voltaje corresponda a las es-

pecificaciones de la placa de ca-

racterísticas. El tomacorriente debe

seguir siendo fácilmente accesible

una vez que el dispositivo esté en-

chufado.

~Asegúrese de que el cable de ali-

mentación no pueda ser dañado

con bordes afilados o puntos de ca-

lor. No envuelva el cable de alimen-

tación alrededor del dispositivo

(¡riesgo de daños en el cable!).

~Asegúrese de que no se presione ni

se aplaste el cable de alimentación.

~Para retirar el enchufe de conexión

6. Funcionamiento

AVISO:

Antes de usarlo por primera vez, en-

cienda el dispositivo durante unos minu-

tos y permita que funcione con los

ajustes de máxima velocidad y tempe-

ratura. Como resultado del proceso de

fabricación, podrá notar un ligero olor.

Es normal y sólo ocurre durante el pri-

mer uso. Asegúrese de que la habita-

ción esté bien ventilada.

Interruptor de encendido/apa-

gado y ajuste de la velocidad

1. Conecte el enchufe de conexión a

la red|5 a un tomacorriente de

fácil acceso.

2. Al usar el interruptor de encen-

dido/apagado|7 y el interruptor

para los ajustes de velocidad,

puede encender el dispositivo y

seleccionar la velocidad deseada

para el flujo de aire:

0= apagado

= lento; flujo de aire suave

= rápido; flujo de aire fuerte

3. Después de secar, coloque el inte-

rruptor de encendido/apagado|7

en 0 (apagado) y retire el enchufe

de conexión a la red.

Selección de la temperatura

Utilice el interruptor de los ajustes de

aire caliente|8 para seleccionar la tem-

peratura deseada del flujo de aire:

= temperatura baja

= temperatura media

= temperatura alta

Función de enfriamiento

Con el fin de mejorar la duración de su

estilo de peinado, puede enfriar el ca-

bello después de peinarse con aire ca-

liente con el botón|9.

Mantenga pulsado el botón|9 duran-

te el secado para obtener un flujo de

aire frío, independientemente de la tem-

peratura inicial.

Cuando ya no necesite el flujo de aire

frío, suelte el botón|9 .

Función de ionización

Puede utilizar el interruptor de iones|4

para activar adicionalmente la función

de ionización, independientemente del

ajuste que esté utilizando. Esto aplica

iones al cabello continuamente.

Reduce la carga estática del cabello y

mejora su estilización.

El cabello se torna suave, liso, brillante

y más fácil de peinar.

• Función de iones activada, el

LED|1 se ilumina

• Función de iones desactivada,

el LED|1 se apaga

SUGERENCIA:

Recomendamos el uso sin accesorios

para una actividad óptima de los iones.

Accesorio de peinado

El accesorio de peinado|11 hace posi-

ble dirigir el flujo de aire sobre seccio-

nes específicas del cabello.

1. Coloque el accesorio de pei-

nado|11 en el frente del secador

de cabello, de modo que se ubique

en su posición.

2. El accesorio de peinado|11 puede

rotarse en cualquier posición

deseada.

3. No retire el accesorio de pei-

nado|11 del secador de cabello

hasta que se haya enfriado.

Difusor

Use el difusor|12 para crear rizos y on-

das suaves en las longitudes del cabello

y las puntas, así como para dar cuerpo

y volumen a las raíces del cabello.

1. Imagen A: coloque el difu-

sor|12 en el secador de cabello.

2. Encienda el secador de cabello.

3. Uso:

- Para cabello largo: deslice el di-

fusor|12 hasta las puntas, y pei-

ne el cabello con ondas suaves

en dirección de las raíces.

- Para cabello corto: use el difu-

sor|12 para trabajar sobre el ca-

bello alrededor de las raíces,

generando cuerpo y volumen.

4. No retire el difusor|12 del secador

de cabello hasta que se haya

enfriado.

7. Limpieza

Riesgo de descarga eléctrica

~Retire el enchufe de conexión a la

red|5 del tomacorriente antes de

limpiar el secador de cabello.

Riesgo de daños materiales

~No use ningún astringente o pro-

ducto limpiador abrasivo.

Limpie el dispositivo regularmente. Ase-

gúrese especialmente de que la entra-

da y salida de aire estén libres de

polvo, cabello y pelusa.

• Limpie la carcasa, la rejilla protec-

tora|2 en la entrada de aire|3, y el

accesorio de peinado|11 usando

un paño húmedo.

• Retire el accesorio de peinado|11

o el difusor|12 del secador de cabe-

llo. Sostenga el secador de cabello

con la salida de aire|10 apuntando

hacia abajo. Limpie los discos de

protección con un cepillo.

Limpieza de la rejilla protectora

1. Gire la rejilla protectora|2 un poco

hacia la izquierda y luego retírela.

2. Sostenga el secador de cabello

con la entrada de aire apuntando

hacia abajo. Limpie las rejillas pro-

tectoras del interior y exterior con

un cepillo.

3. Reemplace la rejilla protectora|2.

Limpieza de los accesorios

1. No retire un accesorio (11,|12)

del secador de cabello hasta que

se haya enfriado.

2. Limpie el accesorio (11,|12) con

un paño húmedo.

3. Deje que el accesorio (11,|12) se

seque por completo antes de vol-

verlo a usar.

8. Almacenamiento

Riesgo para los niños

~Mantenga el dispositivo fuera del

alcance de los niños.

~No envuelva el cable alrededor del

dispositivo (¡riesgo de daños en el

cable!).

• Puede utilizar el gancho de bu-

cle|6 para colgar el dispositivo de

forma práctica y segura con fines

de almacenamiento.

9. Eliminación

Este aparato no se debe desechar con la

basura doméstica normal.

Si el aparato eléctrico ya no se usa,

debe llevarse a las autoridades perti-

nentes de gestión pública de residuos

para su eliminación.

Por regla general, estas autoridades de

eliminación dirigen unidades especia-

les de recepción para aparatos eléctri-

cos (centros de reciclaje, centros de
