2. Intended purpose

The Smoothie-Mixer Pro is intended …

…for mixing whole-fruit beverages

(smoothies) and chopping ice

cubes. For this purpose, use the

blade attachment with the cross

blade|7.

…for chopping solid foods (e.g.

nuts). For this purpose, use the

blade attachment with the flat

blade|8.

The device is designed for private, do-

mestic use. The device must only be

used indoors.

This device must not be used for com-

mercial purposes.

Foreseeable misuse

Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this

manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufac-

turer.

This device must not be used by children.

Children must not play with the device.

The device and the power cable must be kept away from children.

This device can be used by people with restricted physical, sensory

or intellectual abilities or people without adequate experience

and/or understanding if they are supervised or instructed on how

to use this device safely and if they are aware of the resulting

hazards.

If the mains power cable of this device should become damaged, it

must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer

service department or a similarly qualified specialist, in order to

avoid any hazards.

This device is not intended to be operated using an external timer

clock or a separate remote control system.

playpens. This bag is not a toy.

~Please ensure that children are not

able to pull the device down from

the work surface with the power

Risk to or from pets and

livestock

~Electrical devices can represent a

hazard to pets and livestock. In ad-

dition, animals can also cause dam-

age to the device. For this reason

you should keep animals away from

electrical devices at all times.

Risk of electric shock due to

moisture

~The device must never be operated

in the vicinity of a bathtub, a show-

er, a filled hand basin or similar.

~The motor unit, the power cable

and the mains plug must not be im-

mersed in water or other liquids.

~Protect the motor unit, the power ca-

ble and the mains plug from damp-

ness and dripping or splashing

water.

~If liquid gets into the motor unit, re-

move the mains plug immediately.

Have the device checked before re-

using.

~Never touch the device with wet

hands.

~If the device falls into water, discon-

nect the mains plug immediately.

Only then is it safe to retrieve the

device.

Risk of electric shock

This appliance has a polarized plug

(one blade is wider than the other).

To reduce the risk of electric shock,

this plug is intended to fit in a polar-

ized outlet only one way. If plug does

not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the

plug. If it still does not fit, contact a

qualified electrician. Do not attempt

to defeat this safely feature.

~Only plug the mains plug into the

wall socket after the device has

been completely assembled.

~Only connect the mains plug to a

properly installed and easily acces-

sible wall socket whose voltage cor-

responds to the specifications on the

rating plate. The wall socket must

continue to be easily accessible af-

ter the device is plugged in.

~Ensure that the power cable cannot

be damaged by sharp edges or hot

points. Do not wrap the power ca-

Risk of injury from cutting

~The blades of the blade attachment

carry on rotating after the device

has been switched off. Wait until

the blades have come to a standstill

before you remove the blender jug.

~The blades of the blade attachment

are sharp. Please be very careful

when handling them. When wash-

ing manually, the water should be

sufficiently clear that you can see

the blades easily.

~Under no circumstances should the

device be operated without the

blender jug.

Risk of material damage

Do not use the blade attachment with

a flat blade for liquids!

~Thick or firm peels, (e.g. of citrus

fruits, pineapple), stems and pips of

stone fruits (e.g. cherries, peaches,

apricots) must be removed before

blending.

~Do not put any ingredients with a

temperature in excess of 185 °F into

the blender jug.

~In order to prevent damage to the

device, interrupt the blending pro-

cess immediately if the blades of the

blade attachment rotate with diffi-

culty or not at all. Pull out the mains

plug and investigate whether there

is an obstruction in the blender jug

or whether the contents are too vis-

cous. Also check whether the device

is assembled correctly.

~Do not operate the device with emp-

ty blender jugs, as this causes the

motor to overheat and may result in

it being damaged.

~Only operate the device when a

blade attachment is screwed onto

the blender jug.

~The device is designed for a maxi-

mum operating time of 60 seconds

without interruption. After this, the

device must remain switched off un-

til it has cooled down to room tem-

perature.

~Only use the original accessories.

~The device (base unit, power cable

with mains plug) is not dishwasher-

safe.

~Do not use any astringent or abra-

sive cleaning agents.

~The device is fitted with non-slip

plastic suction feet. As furniture is

coated with a wide array of varnish-

es and synthetics, and is also treat-

ed with different care products, it

cannot be fully ruled out that some

of these materials contain ingredi-

ents that could attack and soften the

non-slip plastic suction feet. If neces-

sary, place a non-slip mat under the

device.

Unpacking

1. Remove all parts from the packag-

ing.

2. Check that all parts are present

and intact.

6. How to use

• Remove all packing material.

• Check to ensure that all parts are

present and undamaged.

•Clean the device prior to its

first use! (see “Cleaning” on

page 12)

• Unwind the desired length of cable

from the cable rewind|3 on the un-

derside of the device.

• Place the device on a dry, level,

non-slip surface.

7.1 Uses

Use the blade attachment with the cross

blade|7 for mixing whole-fruit beverag-

es (smoothies) and chopping ice cubes.

Blade attachment with a flat

blade|8

Risk of material damage

~Do not use the blade attachment

with a flat blade|8 for liquids!

Use the blade attachment with a flat

blade|8 for chopping solid food (e. g.

nuts).

TIP: with an operating time of approx.

10 seconds, use no more than 7 oz.

when chopping nuts.

7.2 Preparing food

Risk of material damage

~Thick or firm peels, (e.g. of citrus

fruits, pineapple), stems and pips of

stone fruits (e.g. cherries, peaches,

apricots) must be removed before

blending.

• Rinse or wash the fruits.

• Cut the fruit into rough pieces

(approx. 1.2–1.5 in edge length).

• For smoothies: use a sufficient

amount of liquid (mineral water,

juice, milk, yogurt). We recommend

a mixing ratio of 1:1.

7.3 Mixing/Chopping

• Mind the marking MAX for the

maximum filling quantity.

• Depending on the hardness and

consistency of the ingredients in the

blender jug|5/6, do not fill it to the

maximum; otherwise the blade at-

tachment|7/8 could become

clogged.

TIP: if the smoothie is too thick, add a

little mineral water, fruit juice, milk or

yogurt to suit your taste.

1. Place the fruit pieces and any other

ingredients into the blender jug|

as desired. Mind the marking

MAX

for the maximum filling quantity.

4. Connect the mains plug|4 to the

wall socket.

5. A slight clockwise turn of the blender

jug|

switches the device on.

Let the device run for no more than

60 seconds.

6. A slight anticlockwise turn of the

blender jug|5/6 switches the

device off.

Wait until the blade|7/8 has come

to a standstill.

7. Remove the blender jug|5/6 from

the base unit|1 and turn it around.

8. Unscrew the blade attachment|7/8

and ensure that the liquid drips into

the blender jug|5/6.

9. Before using it again and if neces-

sary, rinse the blade attachment|

briefly under running water.

10.Disconnect the mains plug|4 from

the wall socket.

11.Clean the device as soon as possi-

ble after use.

7.4 Drink immediately

•Figure C: in order to drink the

fresh smoothie directly from the

blender jug|5/6, screw a To Go

lid|9 on the filled jug|5/6. Open

the drinking closure|11 and drink

from the opening for drinking|10.

After you have closed the drinking

closure|11 the opening for drink-

ing|10 and blender jug|5/6 are

tightly closed. You can also enjoy

your smoothie “to go” when you

are out and about.

7.5 Storage

•Figure C: smoothies are intended

to be consumed as soon as possi-

ble. For short-term storage, screw a

To Go lid|9 on the filled blender

jug|5/6. Close the drinking clo-

sure|11 if necessary. Then, it is best

to put the smoothie in the refrigera-

tor.

7.6 Overheating protection

The device has an overheating protec-

tion system. If the device has been in op-

eration for too long thus causing the

device to become too hot, it automati-

cally switches off.

• In this case, pull out the mains plug

and allow the device to cool.

• You may then put the device back

into operation.

8. Cleaning

Clean the device prior to its first

use!

Risk of electric shock

~Pull the mains plug|4 out of the wall

socket before you clean the smooth-

ie maker.

~The base unit|1 and the power cable

with the mains plug|4 must not be

immersed in water or other liquids.

Risk of injury from cutting

~When washing manually, the water

should be sufficiently clear for you

easily.

~Do not use any astringent or abra-

After every use

• Clean the device and all individual

parts used after each use and re-

move all food residues.

• Prior to cleaning, all parts must be

separated from one another (e.g.

remove To Go lid|9 from blender

jug|5/6).

Base unit

Wipe off the base unit|1 and the power

cable|4, using a lightly moistened cloth.

Dry|with a dry cloth.

Manual cleaning

1. The accessories (blade attach-

2. Afterwards, rinse all parts with

clean water.

3. Allow all parts to dry completely

before you put them away or use

9. Storage

Risk for babies and children

~In order to avoid accidents, the

nected to a wall socket while in

storage.

10. Disposal

This appliance must not be disposed of

as household garbage.

ties run special reception units for elec-

trical appliances (recycling centers,

materials recovery centers etc.).

quired, please try this checklist first. Per-

haps there is only a minor problem, and

you can solve it yourself.

2. Uso adecuado

Riesgo de descarga eléctrica

no se puede utilizar para líquidos!

~Antes del proceso de mezcla, debe-

rán retirarse las cortezas gruesas o

duras (p. ej., de los cítricos o de la

locotones, albaricoques).

~No introduzca en el vaso ingredien-

tes que tengan una temperatura de

más de 185 °F.

~Para evitar daños en el aparato, in-

terrumpa inmediatamente el proce-

so de mezcla si las cuchillas del

accesorio con cuchillas no giran o

lo hacen con dificultad. Desenchufe

el aparato y compruebe si hay al-

gún obstáculo en el vaso o si los ali-

mentos son demasiado duros.

Compruebe también que el aparato

esté correctamente instalado.

~No utilice el aparato con los vasos

vacíos, porque el motor podría so-

brecalentarse y estropearse.

~Utilice el aparato solo si en el vaso

se enroscó previamente un acceso-

rio con cuchillas.

~El aparato fue diseñado para un

uso continuo sin interrupción máxi-

mo de 60 segundos. Seguidamente

hay que desconectar el aparato

hasta que se enfríe y alcance la

temperatura ambiente.

Utilice solo los accesorios originales.

~El aparato (unidad básica, cable

eléctrico con enchufe) no se puede

lavar en el lavavajillas.

que los muebles están recubiertos

con una gran variedad de lacas y

plásticos, y que se tratan con dife-

puede que algunos de esos materia-

les contengan componentes que

ataquen y reblandezcan los sopor-

tes de ventosa de plástico. De ser

Utilice el accesorio con cuchillas pla-

te un tiempo de funcionamiento de

aprox. 10 segundos.

7.2 Preparación de los

alimentos

• Corte las frutas en trozos grandes

(1.2–1.5 in aprox.).

quido (agua mineral, jugo de fru-

tas, leche o yogur). Recomendamos

una relación de mezcla de 1:1.

7.3 Mezclar/triturar

Tenga en cuenta la marca

MAX

para

la cantidad de llenado máxima.

~En función de la dureza y la consis-

tencia de los ingredientes, no llene

el vaso|5/6 hasta el máximo, ya

que de lo contrario el accesorio con

cuchillas|7/8 se puede bloquear.

NOTA: si el batido queda demasiado

espeso, añada un poco de agua mine-

ral, jugo de frutas, leche o yogur, según

sea necesario.

1. Introduzca los trozos de fruta y,

dado el caso, los demás ingredien-

tes que desee en el vaso|5/6. Al

hacerlo tenga en cuenta la marca

MAX para la cantidad de llenado

máxima.

2. Ilustración A: enrosque el acce-

en el vaso|5/6. Preste atención a

que el accesorio con cuchillas esté

firmemente enroscado en el vaso.

4. Inserte el enchufe|4 en un toma-

corriente.

rato se conecte.

Deje funcionar el aparato como

máximo 60|segundos.

sentido antihorario hace que el apa-

rato se desconecte.

Espere hasta que las cuchillas|7/8

se hayan detenido.

7. Extraiga el vaso|5/6 de la unidad

básica|1 y gírelo.

8. Desenrosque el accesorio con

cuchillas|7/8 y, al hacerlo, preste

atención a que el líquido en el

vaso|5/6 no gotee.

9. Antes del siguiente uso, aclare un

poco el accesorio con cuchillas|

en agua corriente, si es necesario.

10.Saque el enchufe|4 del toma-

corriente.

11.Procure limpiar el aparato inmedia-

tamente después de cada uso.

7.4 Beberlos de inmediato

•Ilustración C: para beber el bati-

do directamente del vaso|5/6, en-

rosque una tapa para llevar|9 al

vaso|5/6 lleno. Abra el cierre para

tomar|11 y beba de la abertura

para tomar|10. Tras cerrar el cierre

para tomar|11, la abertura para to-

mar|10 y el vaso|5/6 quedan ce-

rrados herméticamente. Así podrá

consumir el batido también por el

camino: para llevar.

7.5 Conservación

•Ilustración C: los batidos están

pensados para consumirse pronto.

Para conservarlos a corto plazo, en-

rosque una tapa para llevar|9 en el

vaso|5/6 lleno. Cierre asimismo el

cierre para tomar|11. Lo mejor es

que a continuación guarde el bati-

do en la nevera.

7.6 Protección contra el

sobrecalentamiento

El aparato dispone de una protección

contra el sobrecalentamiento. En cuan-

to el aparato se encuentre demasiado

tiempo en funcionamiento y eso haga

que la temperatura sea demasiado ele-

vada, el aparato se apagará automáti-

camente.

• En ese caso, desenchufe el aparato

de la red eléctrica y deje que se en-

fríe.

• Hecho esto, podrá poner de nuevo

el aparato en marcha.

8. Limpieza

¡Limpie el aparato antes de utili-

zarlo por primera vez!

Riesgo de descarga eléctrica

~Antes de limpiar la batidora-licua-

dora, extraiga el enchufe|4 del to-

macorriente.

~La unidad básica|1 y el cable de

conexión con el enchufe|4 no se

pueden sumergir en agua ni en nin-

gún otro líquido.

Si lava el aparato a mano, deberá

utilizar agua clara para poder ver

bien el accesorio con cuchillas|

Limpie la unidad básica|1 y el cable

eléctrico|4 con un paño ligeramente hu-

medecido. Pase luego un paño seco.

Limpieza a mano

1. Los accesorios (accesorios con

cuchillas|7/8, vasos|5/6 y la tapa

para llevar|9) se pueden lavar con

agua templada y un poco de deter-

gente.

2. A continuación aclare todas las

piezas con agua limpia.

3. Deje secar completamente todas

las piezas antes de guardarlas o

de volver a utilizar el aparato.

Lavavajillas

Las siguientes piezas también se pue-

9. Conservación

Cuide a los bebés y niños

¿Lo que cubre la presente

garantía?

La garantía incluye:

- Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad

para funcionar debido a defectos.

- Daños que no se expliquen por el

desgaste propio del uso o al seguir

las instrucciones de seguridad y

mantención incluidas en el manual

para el usuario.

¿Lo que no cubre esta

garantía?

La garantía no cubre daños causados por:

- El desgaste propio del uso del pro-

ducto, incluidas las partes frágiles

(como interruptores, piezas de vi-

drio, etc.).

- Uso o transporte no indicado del

producto.

- Desatención a las instrucciones de

seguridad y mantención.

- Accidentes o causas de fuerza ma-

yor (e.g. relámpagos, incendio,

inundación, etc.).

- Falsificación o alteración del produc-

to (retirar la cubierta, tornillos, etc.).

¿Período de cobertura y

resolución de la garantía?

La garantía es válida por 3 número de

años a partir de la fecha de compra. La

empresa, según lo estime conveniente,

devolverá el dinero o repondrá el pro-

ducto.

La empresa no:

- Dará inicio a un nuevo período de

garantía al hacerse el cambio del

producto.

- Realizará reparación del producto.
