IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When used in the directed manner, this unit has been designed and manufactured to ensure your personal safety.

However, improper use can result in potential electrical shock or fire hazards. Please read all safety and operating

instructions carefully before installation and use, and keep these instructions handy for future reference. Take special

note of all warnings listed in these instructions and on the unit.

9. AC adaptor is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily operable during intended use. In order

to disconnect the apparatus from the mains completely, the AC adaptor should be disconnected form the

mains socket outlet completely.

10. Only use attachments / accessories specified by the manufacturer.

11. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold

with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus

combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

12. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged

in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into

the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been

dropped.

14. This appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and that no object filled with liquids such as

vases shall be placed on the apparatus.

15. Power Sources – The appliance should be connected to a power supply only of the type described in the

operating instructions or as marked on the appliance. Do not overload wall outlet.

16. Do not attempt to dismantle, open or repair this product yourself. If a fault occurs, seek advice from your local

qualified service technician or contact the distributor via the telephone number at the back of this instruction

manual.

Avoid installing the unit in locations described below:

• Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters.

• Places subject to constant vibration.

• Dusty, humid or moist places.

• Sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps or motors.

• In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge, the apparatus has to be reset by disconnecting it from mains

supply, wait at least for 60 seconds before reconnect

PROTECT YOUR FURNITURE

This product is equipped with non-skid rubber 'feet' to prevent the product from moving when you operate the controls.

These 'feet' are made from non-migrating rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on

your furniture. However certain types of oil based furniture polishes, wood preservatives, or cleaning sprays may

cause the rubber 'feet' to soften, and leave marks or a rubber residue on the furniture. To prevent any damage to your

furniture we strongly recommend that you purchase small self-adhesive felt pads, available at hardware stores and

home improvement centers everywhere, and apply these pads to the bottom of the rubber 'feet' before you place the

product on fine wooden furniture.

Now it's time to consider how you can maximize the fun and excitement your equipment offers. This manufacturer

GETTING STARTED

CONNECTING THE AC POWER

This unit operates using the included AC adaptor with 12V 2A (center-positive ) output, and is

compatible with standard 120V~ 60Hz AC household power

Insert the the DC Plug of the AC Adaptor into the DC IN jack on the back of the unit. Plug the AC Adaptor into a

standard 120V~ 60Hz AC wall outlet.

INITIALIZATION

The unit will initialize when first plugged in. The initialization process could take up to 60 seconds to complete, so

please wait for this process to finish before proceeding. The LED will be flashing White, you will hear a voice prompt

of “Ready for a set up” when the initialization is completed. The unit is now in setup Mode.

NOTE:

1.) The initialization process may take up to 60 seconds or longer when first connected. This process is normal

and only occurs when first plugged in.

2.) If the unit has been setup to connect your Wi-Fi network successfully, the LED will be solid White after

it’s connected. The unit is now in Wi-Fi mode.

There is a multicolor LED indicator on the top panel. The operation mode is indicated by different color of the LED.

The type of activity is indicated by whether the LED is on or flashing.

CONNECTING THE JSB-550 TO A Wi-Fi NETWORK

IMPORTANT:

 The JSB-550 only operates on a single band (2.4 GHz) Wi-Fi network. If you are having problems connecting the

JSB-550 to your network, check your router settings and make sure the 2.4 GHz signal is turned and you are

accessing the correct band before proceeding.

 Before you begin, make sure you have an Amazon account. You need an Amazon account in order to use the Alexa

voice control. Go to “www.Amazon.com” to register.

1. Download the JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO APP to your phone from Play store for Android phone and App store for

iOS device.

2. Turn On the unit, you will hear the voice indication for the unit in Wi-Fi mode and the Mode LED will flashing

White. Press and hold the MODE button repeatedly to select Wi-Fi mode if necessary.

3. Run the JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO APP and follow on screen guide to setup the network.

4. Touch the “Wi-Fi Setup Wizard” button on your smartphone screen to add the first speaker to your network.

5. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list and touch the “next” button. Type the password of your Wi-Fi network

when prompted.

6. Press the WPS button on the back of the JSB-550 and touch the “next” button on your smartphone screen.

7. The JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO APP will search for the JSB-550 and automatically add it to your network.

8. After the JSB-550 is connected to Wi-Fi, touch the “Next” button to select the speaker’s name from the list or set a

custom one.

9. Sign in your Amazon account and set the Amazon language. Once you finish, you can enjoy the JSB-550 using

the Alexa voice control features.

Notes:

To play music with Alexa, you also need to register the Amazon Prime Music service or upload the music on Amazon

sever library.

10. To add more speakers, touch the “ + “ icon in the top right corner of your smartphone screen and repeat the above

steps.

Reconnecting the JSB-550 to a Wi-Fi network

1. Turn the JSB-550 on, and select Wi-Fi mode. Tap the WPS button on the back of JSB-550 and you will hear

“Connecting to your network” from the speaker.

2. Follow steps 3-8 above.

Resetting the JSB-550 Wi-Fi to Factory data reset

1. Turn on the unit and select Wi-Fi mode. Press and hold the WPS button for 5 – 6 seconds and release the

button. You will hear “Factory data reset” from the speaker.

2. Wait for unit to restart, then unplug and reconnect the power and unit would restart again, you will hear the voice

prompt for ready to set up.

3. Follow steps 3-8 above.

Note:

Always set-up the Wi-Fi connection with the JSB-550 ON and in WI-Fi mode.

Do not press the WPS button unless you are instructed to during one of the steps above. This may cause Wi-Fi setup

error.

USING THE ALEXA VOICE CONTROL

When asking Alexa questions always say “Alexa” first or tap the “Tap to talk” button on the top panel, the Mode LED

turns Blue, and this indicates that Alexa is listening.

Play music from Amazon Music, Tuneln and many more apps/ services just by using voice commands. Example: Say

“Alexa…. Play music from TuneIn Radio.”

Answers questions, such as time and date, find out sports scores and schedules, read Audible audio books, listen to

news, traffic and weather reports, find info on local businesses, consult Wikipedia Example: Say “Alexa…. What time

is it?”

Take notes, prepare shopping lists, shop at Amazon.

Note: To enable voice control, you will need an account to play music from Amazon Music and some other services

Now, simply say “Alexa” or tap the Tap to talk button, when Mode LED turns to solid blue,

INTERACTING WITH THE AMAZON ALEXA APP

You can download the Amazon Alexa app from Play Store or Apple Store.

Please login your Amazon account. In the settings you can use the menus to connect to apps like Amazon Music, Live

Radio, Tuneln and others as well as reviewing your Alexa history and check your timer & Alarm settings.

GROUP AND UNGROUP THE SPEAKERS

GROUPING THE SPEAKERS

Open the JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO APP, in the list of the available speakers, grab and drag one speaker and drop it over

another speaker. In this way, this speaker (slave) becomes part of a group and Master speaker’s music is also played

through all the Slave speakers.

Note:

• You can make one or more speaker groups.

• You can have more than one Slave speakers under the same Master

• In a Group, even if the source is Line in/Bluetooth, you can listen to Slave speakers playing the same song as

Master speaker (Redirect feature)

• You can simultaneously control the volume of all the speakers in a group by Volume buttons of your device

• For a group configuration, choose which speaker can play Left (L), Right (R) or Left/Right (L/R), by touching the

relevant icon.

• Master Speaker Mode LED – Shows current operation Mode color

• Slave Speaker LED – Shows RED color to indicate it is a Slave, voice control and mode button are disabled.

PLAYBACK MUSIC ON THE SPEAKERS

• Select your local songs through MY MUSIC.

• Access Web Radio through Tuneln.

• Change Input through Bluetooth or Line-In.

• Search for online songs through Search.

• Access your Favorite songs through Favorites.

• Access Web services by touching the corresponding icons.

PRESET WEB RADIO STATIONS

To assign web radio stations to preset button (up to 5 stations can be assigned), open the main menu of the JENSEN

WI-FI AUDIO APP.

To access the preset web radio stations, go to the “DEVICE LIST” page of the JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO APP, touch the

setup icon.

Select “PRESET CONTENT” from menu, the stored preset list will show for you to select for playback.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION

PAIRING (LINKING) A BLUETOOTH ENABLED CELL PHONE OR OTHER BLUETOOTH ENABLED

DEVICE to the JSB-550

1. With the JSB-550 in power ON Mode, press and hold the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode. The Mode

Indicator LED turns Turquoise and will be flashing. The JSB-550 is now ready to pair (link) with your

Bluetooth device.

2. Turn on the Bluetooth feature of your cell phone and turn down the volume to avoid sudden loud sound bursts

from the speaker. Enable the search or scan feature to find the JSB-550.

Note: If you have more than one JSB-550 within range, make sure you are connecting to the appropriate

speaker.

3. Select "JSB-550" from the device list when it appears on your device screen. If required, enter the pass code

“0000” to pair (link) the JSB-550 with your cell phone.

4. After successfully pairing (linking) your cell phone with the JSB-550, the Mode Indicator LED stops flashing

and remains lit Turquoise. You can now play music from your cell phone or Bluetooth device wirelessly to the

JSB-550.

Note: If you want to connect the JSB-550 to another cell phone after pairing successfully, then you need to turn

off the Bluetooth on the paired cell phone first if it is in range before going through the above steps.

Otherwise, the JSB-550 will automatically reconnect to the previously linked cell phone or device. Then

press and hold the Bluetooth

/PLAY/PAUSE button to put the JSB-550 into Bluetooth pairing

mode, the LED Indicator will be flashing Turquoise.

5. Press the VOLUME +/- button to adjust the volume level.

6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE

button to pause or resume playback.

7. To turn off the JSB-550 Bluetooth, press and hold the

button on main unit for 2 seconds to turn the unit to

standby mode. Mode Indicator LED turns off. Don’t forget to also turn off the Bluetooth feature on your cell

phone or Bluetooth device.

Notes:

1.) Refer to manual of your cell phone or other Bluetooth enabled device for Bluetooth operation, since it may

vary from model to model.

2.) If your Bluetooth enabled device does not support A2DP, it will not play the music through the speaker,

even after it's paired (linked).

3.) If you are pairing (linking) your computer to the JSB-550 using Bluetooth, you may need to set the JSB-550

as your computer’s default sound device.

Note: In power on mode, If no sound playback or paused by user for 15 minutes, unit will turn into standby mode

automatically for power saving.

Re-linking to a cell phone or Bluetooth device

If your cell phone or Bluetooth device is already paired with the JSB-550, but became unlinked at some point, even

with both Bluetooth devices turned on. You can re-link them by:

1. Press and hold the

/PLAY/PAUSE button to re-link your cell phone. The Mode Indicator LED will turn

Turquoise and flash while linking.

2. Select the JSB-550 from the devices list on your cell phone for linking. The Mode Indicator LED stops flashing

and remains lit Turquoise if the JSB-550 and your cell phone have been re-linked successfully.

3. You can also re-link the JSB-550 by using Bluetooth operation of your cell phone. Please refer to operation

manual of your cell phone for more information.

LINE-IN OPERATION

This unit provides a LINE IN jack for connecting external audio devices like MP3 players, CD players and listen to

them through the speakers of this unit.

1. Use an audio cable (included) with one 3.5 mm stereo plug on each end of the cable.

2. To select auxiliary audio input, plug one end into the Aux IN jack on the back of main unit.

3. Plug the other end of the cable into the Line-out Jack or Headphone Jack of your external audio device.

4. Turn on the external audio device and the main unit.

5. Press and hold the MODE button to select Line-in mode, Mode Indicator LED turns Green.

6. The volume level can now be controlled through the main unit. Operate all other functions on the auxiliary

device as usual.

NOTE:

 If you connect this unit to the Line-Out Jack of your external device then you only need to adjust the volume

control of this unit. If you connected the Headphone Jack of your external device then you may need to adjust

both the volume control of your external device and the volume control of this unit to find the most desirable

volume setting.

 In power on mode, If no sound playback or paused by user for 15 minutes, unit will turn into standby mode

automatically for power saving.

 Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to turning off the unit when you finish listening. Don't forget

to switch off the power of your external device as well.

POWER SAVING

To save power, the speaker will automatically turn off if no sound has played through it for 15 minutes.

RESETTING THE JSB-550

In case of malfunction due to electrostatic discharge, the apparatus has to be reset by disconnecting it from mains

supply. Unplug the AC adaptor from main power, wait at least for 60 seconds before reconnect the AC adaptor power.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust or extreme temperature.

2. Do not tamper the internal components of the unit.

3. Clean your unit with a dry cloth. Solvent or detergent should never be used.

4. Avoid leaving your unit in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places.

5. Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps or motors.

CLEANING THE UNIT

 To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the AC power source when cleaning.

 The finish on the unit may be cleaned with a dust cloth and cared for as other furniture, Use caution when

cleaning and wiping the plastic parts.

 If the cabinet becomes dusty wipe it with a soft dry dust cloth. Do not use any wax or polish sprays on the

cabinet.

 If the top panel becomes dirty or smudged with fingerprints it may be cleaned with a soft cloth slightly dampened

with a mild soap and water solution. Never use abrasive cloths or polishes, as these will damage the finish of

your unit.

CAUTION: Never allow any water or other liquids to get inside the unit while cleaning.

Note: This unit is not magnetically shielded and may cause color distortion on the screen of some TVs or video

monitors. To avoid this, you may need to move the unit further away from the TV or monitor if unnatural color shifts or

image distortion occurs.

d within the U.S.A. This warranty is not assignable or transferable. Our obligation under this warranty is the repair o

r replacement of the defective unit or any part thereof, except batteries, when it is returned to the SPECTRA Service

You must pay all shipping charges required to ship the product to SPECTRA for warranty service. If the product is rep

INICIALIZACIÓN

La unidad se inicializará cuando la enchufe por primera vez. El proceso de inicialización

antes de proceder. La luz LED se iluminará parpadeando en color blanco, usted escuchará

un comando de voz que dice “Ready for a set up” (Listo para configuración) cuando haya

NOTA: 1.) El proceso de inicialización puede tomar hasta 60 segundos o más cuando se

CONEXION DEL JSB-550 A UNA RED WI-FI

IMPORTANTE:

 El JSB-500 únicamente opera en una banda (2.4 GHz) de red Wi-Fi. Si usted tiene

problemas para conectar el JSB-550 a su red, revise la configuración de su router y

asegúrese de que la señal 2.4 GHz esté encendida y que usted esté accediendo a la

banda correcta antes de proceder.

 Antes de comenzar, asegúrese de tener una cuenta con Amazon. Deberá tener cuenta

con Amazon para usar el control de voz Alexa. Para registrarse visite “www.amazon.com”.

1. Descargue la aplicación JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO a su teléfono de su Play store para

7. La aplicación JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO buscará el JSB-550 y automáticamente lo agregará

a su red.

Restableciendo el Wi-Fi del JSB-550 a la configuración de fábrica

INTERACTUAR CON LA APLICACIÓN ALEXA

Puede descargar la aplicación Alexa de Amazon de Play Store o Apple Store

Inicie sesión en su cuenta de Amazon. En la configuración puede usar el menú para

Para asignar estaciones de radio de Internet a un botón predeterminado (se puede asignar

hasta 5 estaciones), abra el menú principal de la APLICACION JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO.

Para acceder a las estaciones de radio de Internet preconfiguradas, vaya a la página

“DEVICE LIST” (Lista de dispositivos) de la aplicación JENSEN WI-FI AUDIO, toque el ícono

configurar (setup).

Seleccione “PRESET CONTENT” (preconfigurar contenido) del menú, aparecerá la lista

preconfigurada almacenada para que usted pueda seleccionar la reproducción.

EMPAREJANDO (ENLAZANDO) UN TELÉFONO CELULAR COMPATIBLE CON

BLUETOOTH U OTRO DISPOSITIVO COMPATIBLE CON BLUETOOTH con el JSB-550

1. Con el JSB-550 en modo ENCENDIDO, oprima y sostenga el botón MODO para

seleccionar modo Bluetooth. El LED indicador de Modo se ilumina en color turquesa,

parpadeando. El JSB-550 está listo para emparejar con su dispositivo Bluetooth.

2. Active la característica Bluetooth de su celular y baje el volumen para evitar golpes

fuertes de sonido en el altavoz. Active la característica búsqueda o escaneo para

encontrar el JSB-550.

Nota: Si tiene más de un JSB-550 dentro del rango de alcance, asegúrese de estar

conectando al altavoz correspondiente.

3. Seleccione "JSB-550" del listado del dispositivo cuando aparezca en la pantalla de su

dispositivo. Si se le pide, ingrese la contraseña “0000” para emparejar (enlazar) el

JSB-550 con su celular.

4. Después de emparejar con éxito su celular con el JSB-550, el indicador de modo LED

deja de parpadear y se quedará encendido de color turquesa. Ahora puede reproducir

música en forma inalámbrica desde su celular o dispositivo Bluetooth al JSB-550.

Nota: Si desea conectar el JSB-550 a otro teléfono celular después de haber

emparejado con éxito, entonces, necesitará apagar primero el Bluetooth del

teléfono emparejado, si éste se encuentra dentro del rango de alcance, antes de

efectuar los pasos anteriores. De lo contrario, el JSB-550 automáticamente

reconectará con el celular o dispositivo previamente emparejado. Luego oprima y

sostenga el botón

/REPRODUCIR/PAUSAR Bluetooth para colocar el

JSB-550 en modo de emparejamiento, el indicador LED parpadeará en color

turquesa.

5. Oprima el botón VOLUMEN +/- para ajustar el nivel de volumen.

6. Oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSA

para reanudar la reproducción.

7. Para apagar el Bluetooth del JSB-550 oprima y sostenga el botón

de la unidad

principal durante 2 segundos para colocar la unidad en modo en espera. El indicador

LED de modo se apagará. No olvide también apagar la característica Bluetooth en su

celular o dispositivo con Bluetooth.

Notas:

1.) Consulte el manual de su celular, o de cualquier otro dispositivo compatible con

Bluetooth en cuanto a la forma de operación del Bluetooth, ya que podría haber

variaciones según el modelo.

2.) Si su dispositivo habilitado para Bluetooth no tiene soporte para A2DP, no será posible

reproducir la música a través del altavoz. aunque se haya emparejado (enlazado).

3.) Si usted está emparejando su computadora con el JSB-550 utilizando el Bluetooth,

podría ser necesario que configure el JSB-500 como su dispositivo de sonido

preestablecido en la computadora.

Nota: Con el modo en ENCENDIDO, si no hay reproducción de sonido o es pausada por

el usuario durante 15 minutos, la unidad se colocará en modo en espera

automáticamente para ahorrar energía.

Volver a emparejar con un celular o dispositivo Bluetooth

Si ya había emparejado su teléfono o dispositivo Bluetooth con el JSB-550, pero en algún

momento se interrumpió el enlace, aún con el dispositivo Bluetooth encendido en ambos

dispositivos. Puede volver a emparejarlos así:

1. Oprima y sostenga el botón

/REPRODUCIR/PAUSA para volver a emparejar su celular.

El LED indicador de Modo se ilumina en color turquesa, parpadeando mientras efectúa el

emparejamiento.

2. Seleccione JSB-550 de la lista de dispositivos de su celular para emparejar. El indicador

de modo LED deja de parpadear y permanece iluminado en color turquesa si el JSB-550 y

su teléfono celular se han emparejado nuevamente con éxito.

3. También puede reenlazar el JSB-550 usando la operación Bluetooth en su celular. Por

favor consulte el manual de operación de su celular para obtener más información.

OPERACIÓN DE LA LÍNEA DE ENTRADA

Esta unidad proporciona un conector DE ENTRADA para conectar dispositivos externos de

audio, por ejemplo, reproductores MP3, reproductores de discos compactos, los cuales

pueden escucharse a través de los altavoces de esta unidad.

1. Use un cable de audio (incluido) con enchufe estéreo de 3.5 mm en cada uno de los

extremos del cable.

2. Para seleccionar la entrada de audio auxiliar, enchufe un extremo en el conector de

ENTRADA AUXILIAR en el respaldo de la unidad principal.

3. Enchufe el otro extremo del cable al conector de la línea de salida o conector de

audífonos de su dispositivo externo de audio.

4. Encienda el dispositivo externo de audio y la unidad principal.

5. Oprima y sostenga el botón de MODO para seleccionar el modo

ENTRADA AUXILIAR, el

indicador de modo LED se enciende de color verde.

6. Ahora puede controlar el nivel de volumen a través de su unidad principal. Opere todas

las demás funciones en el dispositivo auxiliar como de costumbre.

NOTA:

 Si conecta esta unidad al conector de la línea de Salida de su dispositivo externo,

solamente necesitará ajustar el control de volumen de esta unidad. Si conectó la salida de

audífonos de su dispositivo externo, entonces podría ser necesario que ajuste tanto el

control de volumen de su dispositivo externo, como el control de volumen de este sistema

para encontrar el nivel de volumen de su preferencia.

 En el modo encendido, si no hay reproducción de sonido o es pausada por el usuario

durante 15 minutos, la unidad se colocará en modo en espera automáticamente para

ahorrar energía.

 Oprima y sostenga el botón de ENCENDIDO durante 2 segundos para apagar la

unidad cuando termine de escuchar. No olvide también apagar la alimentación de energía

de su dispositivo externo.

AHORRO DE ENERGÍA

Para ahorrar energía, el altavoz se apagará automáticamente si no se ha reproducido ningún

sonido durante 15 minutos.

CÓMO RESTABLECER LA UNIDAD JSB-550

En caso de mal funcionamiento debido a descarga electrostática, será necesario reiniciar la

unidad desconectándola de la red de suministro principal de alimentación. Desenchufe el

adaptador AC del tomacorriente principal, espere por lo menos 60 segundos antes de

reconectar el adaptador de corriente AC.

CUIDADO Y MANTEMIENTO

1. No someta la unidad a esfuerzos excesivos, golpes, polvo o temperaturas extremas.

2. No manipule los componentes internos de la unidad.

3. Limpie la unidad únicamente con un paño seco. Nunca use solventes ni detergentes.

4. Evite dejar la unidad bajo los rayos del sol, o en lugares con exceso de calor, humedad o

polvo.

5. Mantenga la unidad alejada de aparatos y fuentes de ruido eléctrico, como por ejemplo,

lámparas fluorescentes o motores.

LIMPIEZA DE LA UNIDAD

 Para prevenir incendios, fuego o descarga eléctrica, desconecte la unidad de la fuente de

energía AC cuando la limpie.

 Las superficies con acabados de la unidad pueden limpiarse con un paño para sacudir el

polvo y darle los cuidados acostumbrados para otros muebles. Limpie y sacuda las

piezas de plástico cuidadosamente.

 Si la consola se empolva, sacúdala con un paño seco y suave. No utilice ceras ni

pulidores en aerosol en la consola.

 Si la parte superior de la consola se ensucia o tiene huellas digitales, puede limpiarla con

un paño suave ligeramente humedecido con una solución de jabón suave y agua. Nunca

use paños abrasivos ni pulidores ya que podrían dañar el acabado de su unidad.

PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca permita que caiga agua u otros líquidos adentro de la unidad mientras

la limpia.

NOTA: Esta unidad no tiene pantalla magnética y podría causar distorsión en las imágenes

de algunos televisores y monitores de video. Para evitarlo, podría necesitar alejar la TV o

monitor si hay cambios de color no naturales o si hay distorsión de imagen.
