CONTENTS

Cold Weather Operation: Lithium Ion batteries can be safely used from temperatures ranging

from -17 degrees to 45 degrees Celsius. NOTE: Do not store or charge battery outside. Battery

must be charged and stored indoors prior to use of the snow thrower.

Battery may not properly start if it’s temperatures is -17˚C or lower. If unit does not start remove

battery from snow thrower. Place battery on charger and allow to charge for 10 minutes to allow

battery to warm. Remove from charger and install in Snow thrower for use.

SAFETY INFORMATION

• Walk. Do not run.

• Verify that the snow shovel is not in contact with anything before turning it on.

• Stay away from the discharge chute and impeller openings at all times. Keep face, hands, and

feet away from concealed, moving, or rotating parts.

• Be attentive when using the snow shovel, and stay alert for holes in the terrain and other

hidden hazards or trafc.

• Do not use the snow shovel on a gravel or crushed rock surface. Use extreme caution when

crossing gravel/crushed rock drives, walks, or roads.

• Move up and down slopes when clearing snow. Do not go across a slope. Use caution when

changing direction. Do not use this snow shovel to clear snow from steep slopes.

• Do not attempt to use the snow shovel on a roof or on any steeply inclined slippery surface.

• Do not operate the snow shovel if the guards, plates, and other safety protective devices are

not in place.

• Do not operate the snow shovel near glass enclosures, automobiles, trucks, window wells,

drop-offs, etc. without properly adjusting the angle of the snow discharge. Keep children and

pets away from the work area.

• Do not force or overload the snow shovel. The snow shovel will perform better and safer when

it is used at the rate that it was designed to work at.

• Do not operate the snow shovel at high speeds on slippery surfaces. Look behind when

backing up and exercise caution.

• Do not direct the discharge toward anyone. Do not allow anyone to move in front of the snow

shovel while it is in use.

• Wear safety glasses or goggles that meet ANSI Z87.1 standards.

• Use the snow shovel in daylight or in good articial light. If using at night, turn on the LED

lights and be aware of your surroundings.

• To avoid accidental start-ups, remain in the starting position when turning the snow shovel

on. The operator and the snow shovel must be in a stable position during start-up. See the

section titled Starting/Stopping Instructions.

• Use this snow shovel only for the purposes it was designed.

• Do not overreach. Always keep proper footing and balance.

• Hold the snow shovel with both hands while it is in use. Keep a rm grip on the handles.

• If the impeller does not rotate freely due to ice, thaw the snow shovel thoroughly before

attempting to use it.

• Keep the impeller clear of debris.

IMPORTANT

READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all instructions listed below

may result in electric shock, re, and/or serious personal injury.

FOLLOW THESE RULES WHILE OPERATING THE SNOW SHOVEL

SAFETY INFORMATION

• Do not attempt to clear the impeller while the motor is running.

• Keep clothing and body parts away from the impeller.

• Stop the motor when stopped or when moving from one location to another.

• Remove the battery pack when it is being transported and when it is not in use.

• After striking a foreign object, turn the snow shovel off and remove the battery pack, and then

inspect it for damage. Repair any damage before restarting and using the snow shovel.

• If the snow shovel starts to vibrate abnormally, stop the snow shovel immediately and attempt

to determine the cause. Vibration is generally an indication of danger.

• Stop the motor and remove the battery pack whenever the operator is not in the operating

position, before unclogging the impeller, and before making any repairs, adjustments, or

inspections.

• Do not discharge snow onto public roads or near moving trafc.

• Allow the snow shovel to run for a few minutes after clearing snow in order to prevent moving

parts from freezing.

• Only use identical replacement parts and accessories for this snow shovel. The use of

nonidentical parts or accessories could lead to serious injury to the user or damage the snow

shovel, and will void the warranty.

• Do not pick up the snow shovel while it is running. The snow shovel is designed to travel along

the ground.

• Dress Properly – Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving parts.

• Wear rubber boots when operating the snow shovel.

• Operation of the snow shovel in the hand-held position is unsafe, except in accordance with

the special instructions for such use provided in the operator’s manual.

• Store Idle Snow Shovel Indoors – When not in use, snow shovels should be stored indoors in

dry, locked-up place – out of reach of children.

GENERAL SAFETY RULES

• Verify that the snow shovel is secure while transporting.

• Store the snow shovel in a dry area that will prevent unauthorized use or damage. Keep out of

the reach of children.

• Keep handles dry, clean, and free of debris. Clean the snow shovel after each use. Refer to

the Maintenance Section in this manual for more information.

• If the labels on the snow shovel become defaced or start to lift off, contact the toll-free

helpline, at 1-888-909-6757.

• Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference. Refer to them often, and use

them to instruct other users. Anyone who uses this snow shovel must read these instructions

carefully.

• Maintain the snow shovel with care. Follow the instructions for lubricating and changing

accessories.

Servicing requires extreme care and knowledge and should be performed only by a qualied

service technician. For service we suggest you return the product to your nearest AUTHORIZED

SERVICE CENTER for repair. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.

illustration in Figure 1 to your snow shovel in order to familiarize yourself with the location of

various controls and adjustments. Save this manual for future reference.

• Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items

listed in the packing list are included.

• Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.

• Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily

operated the product.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

CONNECTING THE SHAFTS (See Figure 2-3)

• Align the pin on the handle shaft and the hole on the lower shaft. (Fig. 2).

• Turn the lock knob clockwise until it is fully tightened. (Fig. 3).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK (NOT INCLUDED) (See Figure 4)

• Slide the battery (1) down to lock it into position. The battery is fully inserted into the snow

shovel when you hear an audible “click”.

TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK (See Figure 4)

• Release the trigger switch. The lock-out button will pop out, and the snow shovel will stop.

• Press and hold the battery latch button (2) at the rear handle.

• Remove battery pack from the snow shovel.

ADJUST THE AUXILIARY HANDLE HEIGHT (See Figures 5)

• Loosen the bolts until the auxiliary handle is no longer secured.

• Move the auxiliary handle to the height you prefer, make sure the raised points on the auxiliary

handle are aligned with the groove on one side of the handle shaft.

• Once the handle is set to desired setting, tighten the bolts with a phillips screwdriver until

auxiliary handle is secured.

STARTING THE SNOW SHOVEL (See Figures 6-7)

In order to avoid serious injury, the operator and unit must be in a stable position when starting

the snow shovel.

Follow this sequence exactly in order to start the snow shovel.

• Verify that the battery pack is inserted into the battery compartment.

• Press and hold the lock-out button (Fig. 6).

• While holding the lock-out button, press and hold the trigger switch.

NOTE: The Snow Shovel will not start if the lock-out button is not held until the trigger switch is lifted. Once

trigger is depressed and unit is started, release the lock-out button.

• Hold the handles and begin to use the snow shovel (Fig.7).

STOPPING THE SNOW SHOVEL

• Release the trigger switch.

• The lock-out button will pop out, and the snow shovel will stop.

USING THE SNOW SHOVEL (See Figures 8)

• Start the snow shovel by following the Starting Instructions. The depth and weight of the snow

will determine the forward speed.

• Push the snow shovel forward so that it rides on the scraper.

battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, remove the battery pack and unplug

the charger. Wait 1 minute and plug the charger back in and reinsert the battery pack. If the

status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking

then the battery pack is defective and needs to be replaced.

within 2 hours. If the indictor shows charging, that means the battery is good. After 2 hours,

please pull out the battery and also pull out the AC power plug of the charger for 1 miniute,

and then insert the AC power plug and the battery again. If the indictor shows charging, that

means the battery is good. If not, the battery needs to be changed.

• Press the battery capacity indicator (BCI) button. The lights will illuminate according to the

batteries capacity level. See chart below:

SAFETY NOTES AND PRECAUTIONS

• Do not disassemble the battery.

• Keep away from the children.

• Do not expose the battery to water or salt water, battery should be stored in a cool and dry

location and should place the battery in cool and dry environment.

• Do not place the battery in high-temperature locations, such as near a re, heater, etc.

• Do not reverse the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the battery.

• Do not connect the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the battery to each other

withany metal objects.

• Do not knock, strike or step on the battery.

• Do not solder directly onto the battery and pierce the battery with nails or other edge tools.

• In the event that the battery leaks and the uid gets into one’s eye, do not rub the eye. Rinse

well with water. Immediately discontinue use of the battery, if, while using the battery emits

an unusual smell, feels hot, changes color, changes shape, or appears abnormal in any other

way.

BATTERY PACK

• Store the battery pack fully charged.

• Once the charging light turns green, remove the battery from the charger.

• Do not store the battery pack on the tool.

• After charging, the battery pack may be stored in the charger, as long as the charger is not

plugged in.

CHARGER MAINTENANCE

• Keep the charger clean and clear of debris. Do not allow foreign material to get into the

recessed cavity or onto the contacts. Wipe the charger clean with a dry cloth. Do not use

solvents or water, and do not place the charger in wet conditions.

• Unplug the charger when there is no battery pack in it.

• Fully charge the batteries before placing them in storage.

• Store the charger at normal room temperature. Do not store it in excessive heat. Do not use

the charger in direct sunlight. Recharge at room temperature between 45˚F and 104˚F (7˚C

and 40˚C). If the battery pack is hot, allow it to cool down before recharging.

The following toxic and corrosive materials are in the batteries used in this tool battery pack:

Li-ion, a toxic material.

WARNING

All toxic materials must be disposed of in a specied manner to prevent contamination of the

environment. Before disposing of damaged or worn out Lithium-ion battery packs, contact

your local waste disposal agency, or the local Environmental Protection Agency for information

and specic instructions. Take the batteries to a local recycling and/or disposal centre, certied

for Li-ion disposal.

WARNING

If the battery pack cracks or breaks, with or without leaks, do not recharge it and do not use.

Dispose of it and replace with a new battery pack. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT!

To avoid injury and risk of re, explosion, or electric shock, and to avoid damage to the

environment:

• Cover the battery's terminals with heavy-duty adhesive tape.

• DO NOT attempt to remove or destroy any of the battery pack components.

• DO NOT attempt to open the battery pack.

• If a leak develops, the released electrolytes are corrosive and toxic. DO NOT get the solution

in the eyes or on skin, and do not swallow it.

• DO NOT place these batteries in your regular household trash.

• DO NOT incinerate.

• DO NOT place them where they will become part of any waste landll or municipal solid waste

stream.

• Take them to a certied recycling or disposal centre.

ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE BATTERY DISPOSAL

MAINTENANCE

SERVICING

Servicing should be performed by a qualied technician. Replacement parts for this snow

shovel must be identical to the parts that they replace. If repairs are necessary, contact the

Toll-Free Helpline, at 1-888-908-6757.

REPLACING THE SCRAPER (See Figure 9-10)

WARNING

IN ORDER TO AVOID SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY, TURN THE SNOW SHOVEL

OFF AND REMOVE BATTERY BEFORE PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE.

Use only the manufacturer's original replacement parts.

• Place the snow shovel on the ground or on a work bench. Position the snow shovel so that

the impeller is facing up.

• Remove the four (4) screws that are located beneath the impeller that secure the scraper

to the housing using a phillips screwdriver. (Fig. 9).

• Remove the scraper, and discard it in the proper manner. (Fig. 10).

• Snap the new scraper into position, and attach it to the snow shovel by reinstalling the

four (4) screws.

MAINTENANCE

STORAGE

• Allow the motor to cool down before storing.

• Store the snow shovel in a locked location in order to prevent unauthorized use or damage.

• Store the snow shovel in a dry, well-ventilated area.

• Store the snow shovel out of the reach of children.

CLEANING

In order to avoid serious personal injury, turn the snow shovel off and remove battery before

cleaning or servicing.

Use a small brush to clean the outside of the snow shovel. Do not use strong detergents.

Household cleaners that contain aromatic oils such as pine and lemon, and solvents such as

kerosene can damage the plastic housing and handles. Wipe off any moisture using a soft cloth.

MAINTENANCE

TRANSPORTING THE SNOW SHOVEL (See Figure 11)

• Allow the motor to cool down before transporting.

• Secure the snow shovel while transporting.

• When moving the snow shovel, grasp it by the top handle and auxiliary handle. (Fig. 11).

IMPELLOR REPLACEMENT

• Remove the 4 screws .

• Withdraw the old/damaged

impellor. Be sure not to

loose the shaft sleeve that

secures left side of the

shaft.

• Remove the right side

cover by removing 6

screws.

• Remove the left side cover

by removing 6 screws.

• Insert the impellor shaft with

pulley assembly attached in the

new impellor. Be sure to replace

the retained shaft sleeve that

secures left side of the shaft.

• Remove the belt.

• Remove the impellor shaft

with pulley assembly

attached.

• Pull the belt tensioner (idler

arm) away from the drive

pulley. Be sure not to lose the

washer and screw left.

• Remove the nut that

secures the left side plate.

• Replace and tighten the

remaining nut to secure the

left side plate assembly.

• Replace and tighten the

remaining screws to secure

the left side cover.

• Replace and tighten the

remaining screws to secure

the pulley assembly.

• Place the belt back into its

TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION

The snow shovel does

not start.

The battery is not charged. Charge the battery by following the

procedures in the battery and charger

manual.

The lock-out button or trigger

switch were not used properly.

Press and hold the lock-out button,

while holding lock-out button, depress

the switch trigger. (See Figure 6).

Battery is too cold. Remove battery from snow shovel.

Place battery on charger and allow to

charge for 10 minutes. Remove from

charger and install in Snow shovel for

use.

The battery is not fully inserted

into the housing

Check if the battery is fully inserted

into the housing.

Battery may require service or

replacement.

The motor is on, but the

rotor does not turn.

The belt is damaged. Replace the belt (see "IMPELLOR

LIMITED FOUR-YEAR WARRANTY

GREENWORKS™ hereby warranties this product, to the original purchaser with proof of

purchase, for a period of four (4) years against defects in materials, parts or workmanship.

GREENWORKS™, at its own discretion will repair or replace any and all parts found to be

defective, through normal use, free of charge to the customer. This warranty is valid only for

units which have been used for personal use that have not been hired or rented for industrial/

commercial use, and that have been maintained in accordance with the instructions in the

owners’ manual supplied with the product from new.

Battery carries a two (2) year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials. Batteries

must be charged in accordance with the operator’s manuals directions and regulations in order

to be valid.

ITEMS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY:

1. Any part that has become inoperative due to misuse, commercial use, abuse, neglect,

accident, improper maintenance, or alteration; or

2. The unit, if it has not been operated and/or maintained in accordance with the owner's

manual; or

3. Normal wear, except as noted below;

4. Routine maintenance items such as lubricants, scraper, impeller;

5. Normal deterioration of the exterior nish due to use or exposure.

TRANSPORTATION CHARGES:

Transportation charges for the movement of any power equipment unit or attachment are the

responsibility of the purchaser. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to pay transportation charges

writing by GREENWORKS.

CONTENIDOS

Operación en Clima Frío : Baterías de ion de litio pueden ser utilizadas con seguridad entre

temperaturas de -17 grados a 45 grados celsius. TOME NOTA: No mantenga or carge la batería

afuera. La batería debe ser guardada y cargada adentro antes de ser usada con la quitanieve.

La batería no va iniciar correctamente si su temperatura esta menos de -17˚C. Si la máquina no

empieza, retire la batería. Coloque la batería en el cargador y deje cargar por 10 minutos para

permitir que la batería se entibie. Luego retire de el cargador para usar con la quitanieve.

REGLAS DE SEGURIDAD

IMPORTANTE

PARA EVITAR ERRORES QUE PUDIERAN PROVOCAR LESIONES GRAVES, NO ENCHUFE

EL REMOVEDOR ANTES DE HABER LEÍDO TOTALMENTE LOS SIGUIENTES PASOS.

• Camine. No corra.

• Antes de encender la pala de nieve compruebe que no está haciendo contacto con cualquier

cosa.

• En todo momento manténgase alejado de la apertura para descarga. Aleje la cara, manos y

pies de las piezas ocultas, en movimiento o rotatorias.

• Ponga mucha atención al usar la pala de nieve, y manténgase alerta de baches en el terreno

y otros peligros u objetos ocultos.

• No use la pala de nieve en supercies con grava o roca triturada. Tenga extrema precaución

al cruzar entradas, andenes o calles con grava o roca triturada.

• Al limpiar la nieve muévase de arriba abajo en las pendientes. No cruce las pendientes

lateralmente. Tenga precaución al cambiar de dirección. No use la pala de nieve para quitar

nieve de pendientes muy inclinadas.

• No trate de usar la pala de nieve en techos ni en cualquier supercie muy inclinada.

• No use la pala de nieve si las cubiertas protectoras, placas y otros dispositivos de protección

por seguridad no se encuentran en su lugar.

• No use la pala de nieve cerca de recintos con vidrio, automóviles, camiones, vidrieras,

bajadas escarpadas, etc. sin ajustar apropiadamente el ángulo de la descarga de nieve.

Mantenga alejados del área de trabajo a los niños y las mascotas.

• No fuerce ni sobrecargue la pala de nieve. La pala de nieve hará mejor su trabajo y de una

forma más segura a la velocidad para la cual fue diseñado.

• No haga funcionar la pala de nieve a alta velocidad sobre supercies lizas. Mire hacia atrás y

tenga precaución al retroceder.

• No dirija la descarga hacia la gente y no permita que nadie se mueva al frente del pala de

nieve mientras esté en uso.

• Al usar la pala de nieve use anteojos o gafas de seguridad que cumplan con las normas ANSI

Z87.1.

• Use la pala de nieve con luz solar o con luz articial buena. Para uso nocturno, encienda las

luces LED y preste atención a los alrededores.

• Evite los arranques accidentales. Al encender la pala de nieve permanezca en la posición

de arranque. El operador y la pala de nieve deben estar en una posición estable durante el

arranque.

• Use la pala de nieve solamente para el propósito para el cual se le diseñó.

• No extienda su cuerpo más allá de su alcance natural. Asiente siempre bien los pies y

mantenga su equilibrio.

• Al utilizar la pala de nieve sosténgalo con ambas manos. Tome con seguridad las manijas.

REGLAS DE SEGURIDAD

• Si el impulsor no gira libremente debido a hielo pegado, descongele completamente la pala

de nieve antes de intentar usarlo.

• Mantenga el impulsor libre de desechos.

• No trate de limpiar el impulsor cuando el motor esté funcionando. Apague el motor y retire el

paquete de baterías.

• Mantenga alejados del impulsor la ropa y las partes del cuerpo.

• Pare el motor al suspender las operaciones de limpieza de nieve y al moverse de un lugar a otro.

• Retire el paquete de baterías al transportarlo y cuando no lo esté usando.

• Luego de golpear algún objeto extraño, apague la pala de nieve, retire el paquete de baterías

y revise si no se ha dañado. Repare cualquier daño antes de volver a arrancar y usar la pala

de nieve.

• Si la pala de nieve comienza a vibrar anormalmente, párelo inmediatamente y trate de

establecer la causa. La vibración es generalmente una indicación de peligro.

• Pare el motor y retire el paquete de baterías siempre que el operador no se encuentre en

la posición de operación, antes de limpiar el impulsor así como antes de hacer cualquier

reparación, ajuste o inspección.

• No descargue nieve en las calles públicas ni cerca del tráco en movimiento.

• Deje que la pala de nieve funcione por algunos minutos luego de limpiar la nieve para evitar

que sus piezas se congelen.

• Use sólo repuestos y accesorios idéntico para este pala de nieve. Usar repuestos o

accesorios no idéntico podría provocar lesiones graves al usuario o dañar la pala de nieve,

además anula la garantía.

• No levante la pala de nieve cuando esté funcionando. La pala de nieve ha sido diseñado para

ser transportado sobre el suelo.

• No use ropas holgadas ni joyas. Pueden engancharse en las piezas móviles.

• Calce calzado de invierno adecuada cuando utilice la pala de nieve.

• El funcionamiento de la pala de nieves en la posición de mano no es seguro, excepto de

acuerdo con las instrucciones especiales para tal uso proporcionadas en el manual del

operador.

• Guarde la pala de nieves en el interior. Cuando no se use, la pala de nieves debe almacenarse

en un lugar seco y cerrado con llave, fuera del alcance de los niños.

• Deslice la batería (1) hacia abajo para trabarla en su posición correcta. La batería está

completamente insertada en el quitanieve cuando se escucha un “clic”.

EXTRAER LA BATERÍA (Consulte la gura 4)

• Suelte el interruptor de gatillo. El botón para bloqueo por desconexión salta y la pala de nieve

se detiene.

• Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón del cierre de la batería (2) de la parte trasera de la

empuñadura.

• Retire la batería del producto.

AJUSTAR LA ALTURA DE LA EMPUÑADURA AUXILIAR (Consulte la gura 5)

• Aoje los tornillos hasta soltar la empuñadura auxiliar.

• Desplace la empuñadura auxiliar hasta la altura que desee y asegúrese de que los puntos

de inserción de la empuñadura auxiliar estén alineados con las ranuras del tubo de la

empuñadura.

• Una vez que la empuñadura esté en la posición deseada, apriete los tornillos con un

destornillador de estrella hasta que la empuñadura auxiliar quede jada.

CÓMO ARRANCAR LA PALA DE NIEVE (Consulte la guras 6-7)

Para evitar lesiones graves, el operador y la unidad deben estar en una posición estable al

arrancar la pala de nieve.

Siga exactamente la siguiente secuencia para arrancar la pala de nieve.

• Compruebe que la batería está insertada en el compartimento de la batería.

• Presione y sostenga el botón para bloqueo por desconexión (Fig. 6).

• Mientras sostiene el botón para bloqueo por desconexión, presione y sostenga el

interruptor de gatillo.

NOTA: La pala de nieve no arranca si el botón para bloqueo por desconexión no se sostiene hasta presionar

el interruptor de gatillo. Una vez que apriete el gatillo y la unidad arranque, suelte el botón de bloqueo.

• Sostenga las manijas y comience a usar la pala de nieve (Fig. 7).

• Suelte el interruptor de gatillo.

• El botón para bloqueo por desconexión salta y la pala de nieve se detiene.

• Arranque la pala de nieve siguiendo las instrucciones de arranque. La velocidad hacia

adelante se determina por la profundidad y peso de la nieve.

• Empuje la pala de nieve hacia delante de manera que se apoye en el raspador.

PROCEDIMIENTO DE CARGA

1. Enchufe el cargador en un tomacorriente de CA.

2. Coloque el paquete de baterías (1) en el cargador (2).

NOTA: La batería no se envía completamente cargada. Se recomienda cargarla completamente

antes de usarla por primera vez para garantizar que se pueda obtener el máximo tiempo de

funcionamiento. Esta batería de ión de litio no desarrolla memoria y se le puede cargar en

cualquier momento.

Este es un cargador con diagnóstico. Las lámparas LED (3) del cargador se iluminan de

acuerdo a un orden específico para indicar el estado actual de la batería. Ellos son los

siguientes.

Nota de defecto falso:

Cuando la batería esté insertada en el cargador y el LED de estado parpadee, retire la batería del

cargador durante 1 minuto y luego vuelva a insertarla. Si el LED de estado i ndica normal, la

batería está en correcto estado. Si el LED de estado sigue parpadeando, retire la batería y

desenchufe el cargador. Espere 1 minuto, vuelva a enchufar el cargador de nuevo y, a

continuación, reinserte la batería. Si el LED de estado indica normal, la batería está en correcto

estado. Si el LED de estado sigue parpadeando, significa que la batería es defectuosa y necesita

reemplazarse.

NOTA: Cuando el indicador rojo parpadee, saque la batería del cargador e vuelva a insertarla en el

plazo de 2 horas.Si el indicador indica que se está cargando, significa que la batería está en

correcto estado.Después de 2 horas, retire la batería y desconecte el enchufe de alimentación de

CA del cargador durante 1 minuto. A continuación, vuelva a insertar el enchufe de alimentación de

CA y la batería. Si el indicador indica que se está cargando, significa que la batería está en correcto

estado. Si no, la batería necesita reemplazarse.

• Guarde la batería recargada por completo.

• Cuando las luces de recarga se pongan verdes, retire la batería del cargador y desconecte el

cargador de la toma.

• No guarde la batería en el aparato ni en el cargador.

• Después de la carga, se puede guardar la batería en el cargador, siempre que el cargador no

esté enchufado.

MANTENIMIENTO DEL CAR GADOR

• Mantenga el cargador limpio y libre de residuos. No permita que entren elementos extraños

en la parte interna ni en los contactos. Limpie el cargador con un paño húmedo. No utilice

disolventes ni agua y no limpie el aparato en condiciones de humedad.

• Desenc hufe el cargador cuando no tenga ninguna batería.

• Recargue por completo las baterías antes de guardarlas. No recargue una batería cargada

por completo.

• Guarde el cargador en una habitación con temperatura normal. No lo almacene con

temperaturas demasiado elevadas. No utilice el cargador con luz directa del sol. Recárguelo

con una temperatura ambiental de entre

45ºF y 104ºF (7ºC y 40ºC). Si la batería está

caliente, deje que se enfríe antes de recargarla.

Pulse el indicador de capacidad de la batería (BCI). Las luces se encenderán según el nivel de

capacidad de las baterías. Consulte la siguiente tabla:

cambia

de color, cambia de forma o presenta cualquier otra anomalía.

NOTAS Y PRECAUCIONES DE SEGURIDAD

Las baterías utilizadas en esta herramienta contienen los siguientes materiales tóxicos y

corrosivos: Litio-ión, un material tóxico.

WARNING

ATodos los materiales tóxicos deben ser desechados de forma especíca para evitar contaminar

el medio ambiente. Antes de desechar una batería de litio-ión estropeada o gastada, póngase

en contacto con el organismo encargado del tratamiento de residuos más próximo o con su

agencia de protección medioambiental para informarse y solicitar instrucciones especícas.

Recicle las baterías en un centro o dispositivo adecuado, autorizado para el tratamiento de ión-

litio.

WARNING

Si la batería se agrieta o se rompe, con o sin escapes, no la recargue ni la utilice.

Deséchela y sustitúyala por una batería nueva. ¡NO INTENTE REPARARLA!

Para evitar lesiones y riesgos de incendio, explosión o shock eléctrico, así como dañar el medio

ambiente:

• Cubra los terminales de la cubierta de la batería con cinta adhesiva resistente.

• NO intente retirar ni destruir componentes de la batería.

• NO intente abrir la batería.

• Si aparece una grieta, los electrolitos que se liberan son corrosivos y tóxicos. NO permita que

la solución entre en contacto con los ojos o la piel y no la ingiera.

• NO tire estas baterías a la basura.

• NO las incinere.

• NO las ponga donde puedan acabar en el basurero o en una línea de tratamiento de residuos

municipal.

• Llévelas a un centro ocial de reciclaje o recogida de desechos.

• Coloque la pala de nieve en el suelo o en un banco de trabajo. Coloque la pala de nieve

de manera que el impulsor se encuentre hacia arriba.

• Con un desatornillador en cruz quite los cuatro (4) tornillos que se encuentran debajo del

impulsor y que aseguran el raspador a la carcasa. (Fig. 9).

• Quite el raspador y deséchelo de la manera apropiada. (Fig. 10).

• Coloque un raspador nuevo en su lugar y sujételo a la pala de nieve colocando de nuevo

los cuatro (4) tornillos.

ALMACENAMIENTO

• Deje que el motor se enfríe antes de almacenarlo.

• Almacene la pala de nieve en un lugar bajo llave para evitar el uso no autorizado y los daños.

• Almacene la pala de nieve en un área seca y bien ventilada.

• Almacene la pala de nieve fuera del alcance de los niños.

LIMPIEZA

Para evitar lesiones personales graves, apague la pala de nieve y retire la batería antes de

limpiarla o hacer tareas de mantenimiento.

Use una brocha pequeña para limpiar el exterior de la pala de nieve. No use detergentes

fuertes. Los limpiadores caseros que contienen aceites aromáticos tales como pino o limón y

los solventes tales como kerosén pueden dañar la carcasa de plástico y las manijas. Use un

paño suave y seco para eliminar la humedad.

CÓMO TRANSPORTAR EL PALA DE NIEVE (Consulte la gura 11)

• Deje que el motor se enfríe antes de transportarlo.

• Asegure la pala de nieve al transportarlo.

• Para transportar la pala de nieve, sujétela por la empuñadura y por la empuñadura auxiliar.

(Fig. 11).

• Retirar los tornillos.

• Retire el eje propulsor viejo

o dañado. Asegúrese de

no perder el manguito que

sujeta el lado izquierdo del

eje.

• Retire la cubierta derecha

desatornillando los 6

tornillos.

• Retire el eje propulsor viejo

o dañado. Asegúrese de

no perder el manguito que

sujeta el lado izquierdo del

• Inserte el eje propulsor

con todo el rodillo incluido

en el nuevo eje propulsor.

Asegúrese de volver a

colocar el manguito de

sujeción que cierra el lado

izquierdo del eje.

• Retire la correa.

• Quite el eje propulsor con

todo el rodillo incluido.

• Tire del tensor de la correa

(brazo tensor) hacia fuera

del rodillo motriz. Asegúrese

de no perder la arandela ni

el tornillo izquierdo.

• Suelte la tuerca que sujeta

la placa del lado izquierdo.

• Coloque la correa de nuevo

en su lugar.

• Coloque y apriete los

tornillos restantes para

ensamblar la cubierta

lugar.

• Coloque y apriete la tuerca

restante para ensamblar la

placa izquierda.

• Coloque y apriete los

tornillos restantes para

ensamblar la cubierta

izquierda.

• Coloque y apriete los

tornillos restantes para

ensamblar el rodillo.

SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

La pala de nieve no

arranca.

La batería está demasiado fría. Retire la batería. Coloque la batería

10 minutos para permitir que la

batería se entibie. Luego retire de el

cargador para usar con la quitanieve.

La batería no está bien

colocada en el compartimento.

Compruebe que la batería está bien

colocada en el compartimento.

La batería puede requerir

Por este medio y por un período de cuatro años GREENWORKS™ garantiza este producto

contra defectos en materiales, piezas o mano de obra al comprador original que cuente con

una prueba de compra. GREENWORKS™, a su sola discreción reparará o reemplazará, sin

costo alguno para el cliente, cualquier pieza defectuosa, siempre y cuando se haya hecho uso

normal de ella. Esta garantía es válida solamente para unidades utilizadas de manera personal

y que no hayan sido utilizadas o alquiladas para uso industrial o comercial, y que hayan recibido

mantenimiento de acuerdo a las instrucciones que aparecen en el manual del propietario que se

suministró con el producto nuevo.

La batería y el cargador tiene una garantía de dos años contra defectos en materiales o mano

de obra. Para mantener su validez, se debe cargar las baterías siguiendo las instrucciones y

regulaciones que aparecen en el manual del operador.

ARTÍCULOS QUE NO CUBRE LA GARANTÍA:

1. Cualquier pieza que se haya vuelto inoperante debido a mal uso, uso comercial, abuso,

descuido, accidente, mantenimiento inapropiado o alteración; o

2. La unidad, si no ha sido operada o si no se le ha dado mantenimiento de acuerdo al

manual del propietario; o

3. Desgaste normal, excepto según se indica a continuación;

4. Artículos de mantenimiento rutinario tales como lubricantes, raspador, impulsor;

5. Deterioro normal del acabado exterior debido al uso y la exposición al entorno.
