Carefully cut out the holes needed. å Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. NOTE: Be sure to tap NAILS into the holes that line up over the BOTTOMS (F). 1N Turn the CORD CLIP (31P) into the hole in the TOP (E). NAIL (30 used in this step) These holes should line up over the LEG. Use the screws in the HINGES. You should start each SCREW a few turns before completely tightening any of them. å Fasten a PULL (101K) to the DOOR (J). Use two SILVER 5/8" MACHINE SCREWS (15S). å See the next step for DOOR adjustments. Pro Tip: Lift with your legs. And, you know, your arms. Before fastening the DOOR to your unit, be sure the mounting screw is against the stops as shown in the right diagram. If it isn't, loosen the mounting screw to slide it against the stops. Then tighten the mounting screw. Tighten the mounting screw after making adjustments. å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws. Move the DOORS up or down to the desired location. Insert the METAL PINS into the hole locations of your choice in the LEFT END (B) and LEFT UPRIGHT (D). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELF (K) onto the METAL PINS. å To insert a drawer into your unit, tip the front of the drawer down and drop the rollers on the drawer behind the rollers on the unit. Page 30 418326 www.sauder.com/services Step 26 å To make adjustments to the drawers, loosen SCREW #4 in the SLIDES a 1/4 turn, then turn the CAM clockwise or counter-clockwise. Notice how the drawer raises or lowers as you turn the CAM. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. By adjusting the drawers this way, it will help the DRAWER FRONTS line up better when closed. Tighten the SCREW when finished with adjustments. å å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry. And to celebrate, why not share your success story? Loosen screw #4 a 1/4 turn, turn the cam a 1/4 turn maximum in both the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions to make adjustments, and then tighten screw #4. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. Enfoncer trente EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES (1F) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B), les MONTANTS (C et D), les DESSOUS (F) et le VOILE DE FOND (G). Insérer ensuite l'extrémité en métal des dixhuit CHEVILLES D’EXCENTRIQUE (2F) dans chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE, à l'exception des chants longs des EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et des MONTANTS (C et D). ÉTAPE 2 Serrer douze VIS D'EXCENTRIQUE (8F) dans les PIEDS AVANT (L). REMARQUE : Placer les PIEDS exactement comme l'indique le schéma. REMARQUE : Utiliser les trous exacts indiqués. Insérer quatre CHEVILLES EN BOIS (15F) dans les trous des PIEDS AVANT (L). ÉTAPE 3 Fixer les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) et les MONTANTS (C et D) aux PIEDS AVANT (L). Serrer douze EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. REMARQUE : S’assurer de bien insérer les CHEVILLES EN BOIS dans les PIEDS AVANT dans les trous des EXTRÉMITÉS et MONTANTS. ÉTAPE 4 Fixer lÉLÉMENT DROITE (45BA) sur l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A) et l'ÉLÉMENT GAUCHE (45BB) sur le MONTANT DROIT (C). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 1 et nº 4. ÉTAPE 7 Fixer l'ÉLÉMENT DROITE (40CA) sur l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A) et l'ÉLÉMENT GAUCHE (40CB) sur le MONTANT DROIT (C). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 1 et nº 3. ÉTAPE 8 Retourner les MONTANTS (C et D). Fixer les BLOCS D'EXTENSION (S) aux MONTANTS (C et D). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE GOUTTE DE SUIF 28 mm NOIRES (9S). Fixer l'ÉLÉMENT DROITE (40CA) et l'ÉLÉMENT GAUCHE (40CB) aux BLOCS D'EXTENSION (S). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 1 et nº 3. ÉTAPE 9 Fixer le DESSUS (E) au VOILE DE FOND (G). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Attention: Risque des dégâts ou blessures. Les Excentriques Escamotables doivent être serrés à bloc. Les Excentriques Escamotables que ne sont pas serrées à bloc peuvent desserrer et les pièces peuvent séparer. Pour serrer à bloc, faire tourner l'excentrique escamotable de 210 degrés. Retourner les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Faire tourner quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 14 mm NOIRES (32S) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) jusqu'à ce que les épaulements des VIS repose sur les surfaces des EXTRÉMITÉS. Enfiler les MOULURES D'EXTRÉMITÉ (R) sur les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Aligner les rainures des MOULURES sur les têtes des VIS dans les EXTRÉMITÉS. ÉTAPE 5 Fixer les PIEDS ARRIÈRE (M) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B). Utiliser six VIS TÊTE PLATE 70 mm NOIRES (100S). ÉTAPE 10 Attention: Ne pas relever l'élément dans sa position verticale avant d'avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L'élément risque de s'effondrer. Fixer les MONTANTS (C et D) au DESSUS (E). Serrer quatre EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Fixer les MONTANTS (C et D) au VOILE DE FOND (G). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (2S). ÉTAPE 11 Enfoncer l'ARRÊT DE PORTE (4I) dans le trou du DESSUS (E). Fixer les DESSOUS (F) aux MONTANTS (C et D). Consulter le schéma agrandi pour identifier les pièces des CHARNIÈRES. * Brevet État Unis n° 5,499,886 Il faut peut-être ajuster les PORTES. Suivre les indications ci-dessous pour ajuster. ÉTAPE 13 RÉGLAGES DES PORTES : Fixer les EXTRÉMITÉS (A et B) au DESSUS (E) et aux DESSOUS (F). Serrer huit EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 14 Attention: Ne pas relever l'élément dans sa position verticale avant d'avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L'élément risque de s'effondrer. Avec précaution, retourner l'élément sur ses chants avant. Placer les ARRIÈRES (H) sur l'élément. Fixer les ARRIÈRES (H) à l'élément à l'aide des CLOUS (1N). REMARQUE : S'assurer de bien enfoncer les CLOUS dans les trous qui sont alignés au-dessus les DESSOUS (F). REMARQUE : Des lignes perforées ont été prévues pour accéder facilement aux ARRIÈRES. Découper avec précaution les trous nécessaires. Enfoncer le CLIP DE CORDON (31P) dans le trou du DESSUS (E). ÉTAPE 15 Pour ajuster les PORTES latéralement (horizontalement), desserrer la vis de montage quelques tours et tourner la vis de réglage vers l'intérieur ou vers l'extérieur. Serrer la vis de montage après avoir ajusté. Pour ajuster les PORTES de haut en bas (verticalement), desserrer les deux vis de réglage. Déplacer les PORTES verticalement à l'emplacement désiré. Serrer les vis après avoir ajusté. Pour ajuster les PORTES vers l'intérieur où vers l'extérieur (profondeur), desserrer la vis de montage un tour et déplacer les PORTES vers l'intérieur ou vers l'extérieur. Serrer la vis de montage après avoir ajusté. ÉTAPE 18 1. Fixer le DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D469) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D266 et D267). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (30S). 2. Enfiler le FOND DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (B27) dans les rainures des CÔTÉS DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D266 et D267) et du DEVANT DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D469). Fixer deux CHARNIÈRES (14H) à la PORTE (J). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 13 mm NOIRES (11S). 3. Fixer l’ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D468) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D266 et D267). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (30S). ÉTAPE 16 4. Fixer l'ENTRETOISE DE TIROIR (EE) à l’ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D468) et au DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D469). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (30S). Relever, avec précaution, l'élément dans sa position verticale. Avant de fixer la PORTE à l’unité, s’assurer que la vis de montage se trouve contre les butées comme l’indique le schéma de droite. Si ce n’est pas le cas, desserrer la vis de montage pour la faire glisser contre les butées. Serrer ensuite la vis de montage. Fixer la PORTE (J) à l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B) comme l'indique le schéma inférieur. Utiliser les vis fournies avec les CHARNIÈRES. Il est préférable de donner quelques tours de tournevis à chaque VIS avant de les serrer toutes à bloc. Fixer une POIGNÉE (101K) à la PORTE (J). Utiliser deux VIS À MÉTAUX 16 mm ARGENTÉES (15S). Voir l'étape suivante pour réglages des PORTES. Page 34 ÉTAPE 19 Fixer le TIROIR DROIT (40CC) et TIROIR GAUCHE (40CD) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D266 et D267). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 2 et nº 4. REMARQUE : Utiliser les trous exacts illustrés dans les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR. Fixer une POIGNÉE (101K) sur le DEVANT DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS (O). Utiliser deux VIS À MÉTAUX 16 mm ARGENTÉES (15S). ÉTAPE 24 Enfoncer une ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (15B) sur le CÔTÉ DROIT DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS (D28). REMARQUE : S'assurer que le FOND DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS (D954) s'encastre dans la rainure de l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS (D151). Enfiler les GUIDES POUR DOSSIERS (7B) dans l'ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (15B) située sur le CÔTÉ DROIT DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS. Répéter cette étape pour l'autre tiroir à l'aide les pièces N, D26, D27, D150 et D702. Enfiler une autre ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (15B) sur les autres extrémités des GUIDES POUR DOSSIERS (7B) et appuyer cette ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS sur le CÔTÉ GAUCHE DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS (D29). ÉTAPE 21 Insérer une EXCENTRIQUE DE COULISSE (10A) dans les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS (D28 et D29). ÉTAPE 25 Fixer le TIROIR DROIT (45BC) et TIROIR GAUCHE (45BD) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR POUR DOSSIERS (D28 et D29). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 2 et nº 4. Enfoncer les MANCHONS EN CAOUTCHOUC (2R) sur les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL (1R). Insérer les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL dans les trous choisis de l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B) et du MONTANT GAUCHE (D). Poser la TABLETTE RÉGLABLE (K) sur les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL. REMARQUE : Utiliser les trous exacts illustrés dans les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR. REMARQUE : La tête de vis dans l'EXCENTRIQUE doit être visible à travers le trou fendu dans la COULISSE. Pour insérer un tiroir dans l'élément, abaisser le devant du tiroir et faire passer les roulettes situées sur le tiroir derrière les roulettes situées sur l'élément. Relever le devant du tiroir et l'enfiler dans l'élément. Répéter cette étape pour insérer le TIROIR À CRAYONS. ÉTAPE 22 ÉTAPE 26 Insérer une EXCENTRIQUE DE COULISSE (10A) dans les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D26 et D27). REMARQUE : Utiliser les trous exacts illustrés dans les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR. Pour ajuster les tiroirs, desserrer la VIS nº 4 dans les COULISSES un quart de tour et tourner ensuite la CAME dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre ou dans le sens contraire. Noter que le tiroir monte ou descend lorsque l'on tourne la CAME. Plus la vis dans le trou oblong est haute, plus le devant de tiroir sera haut. Plus la vis est basse, plus le devant de tiroir sera bas. Ajuster les tiroirs de cette manière permet aux DEVANTS DE TIROIR d'être mieux alignés une fois fermés. Resserrer la VIS après d'avoir ajusté. REMARQUE : La tête de vis dans l'EXCENTRIQUE doit être visible à travers le trou fendu dans la COULISSE.
