Lay the BACK (H) over your unit. å Make equal margins along the top and side edges of the BACK (H). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å å Fasten the BACK (H) to your unit using the NAILS (5N). å Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. Fasten an ANGLE BRACKET (27G) to the RIGHT END (A2) and MOLDING (W). Use two BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). 5N NAIL (18 used in this step) NOTE: There is no pre-drilled hole in the MOLDING. The SCREW will tighten into the groove. Use a BLACK 1-1/2" PAN HEAD SCREW (49S). å Fasten two KNOBS (87K) to the DRAWER FRONTS (I and M). Use two SILVER 1-1/4" PAN HEAD SCREWS (45S). å Push two FILE GLIDES (15B) onto the DRAWER SIDES (D28 and D29). 49S BLACK 1-1/2" PAN HEAD SCREW (1 used in this step) SS 87K 45S SILVER 1-1/4" PAN HEAD SCREW (2 used in this step) 15B D29 I 87K Page 22 D28 M 87K 401685 www.sauder.com/services Step 18 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å To make adjustments to the KEYBOARD FRONT (SS), loosen the SCREWS in the HINGES (12H), make needed adjustments, and tighten the SCREWS. To insert the drawers into your unit, tip the front of the drawers down and drop the rollers on the drawers behind the rollers on the unit. Lift the front of the drawers up and slide them into the unit. Repeat this step to insert the KEYBOARD SHELF (R). Almost time to celebrate! With a nap. 70 lbs. 25 lbs. SS R 15 lbs. F 10 lbs. 25 lbs. www.sauder.com/services 401685 Page 23 Step 19 å To make adjustments to the drawer, loosen SCREW #4 in the SLIDES a 1/4 turn, then turn the CAM clockwise or counter-clockwise. Notice how the drawer raises or lowers as you turn the CAM. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. By adjusting the drawer this way, it will help the DRAWER FRONT line up better when closed. Tighten the SCREW when finished with adjustments. å å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry. And to celebrate, why not share your success story? Loosen screw #4 a 1/4 turn, turn the cam a 1/4 turn maximum in both the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions to make adjustments, and then tighten screw #4. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. Attention: Ne pas relever l'élément dans sa position verticale avant d'avoir fixé l’ARRIÈRE. L'élément risque de s'effondrer. Assembler l'élément sur un sol à moquette ou sur le carton vide pour éviter d'endommager l'élément ou le sol. Fixer l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B2) et le MONTANT (C3) au DESSOUS (E). Serrer quatre EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Enfoncer treize EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES (1F) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2), le MONTANT (C3), le DESSOUS (E), la TABLETTE (F) et le VOILE DE FOND (G). Ensuite, insérer une CHEVILLE D'EXCENTRIQUE (2F) dans chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE. Attention: Risque des dégâts ou blessures. Les Excentriques Escamotables doivent être serrés à bloc. Les Excentriques Escamotables que ne sont pas serrées à bloc peuvent desserrer et les pièces peuvent séparer. Pour serrer à bloc, faire tourner l'excentrique escamotable de 210 degrés. ÉTAPE 2 ÉTAPE 5 Fixer les ÉLÉMENTS DROITES (35GA et 40CA) au MONTANT (C3) et les ÉLÉMENTS GAUCHES (35GB et 40CB) à l’EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B2). Utiliser huit VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 1 et nº 3. Insérer trois GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL (1R) dans le VOILE DE FOND (G). ÉTAPE 3 ÉTAPE 6 Fixer les CONSOLES DE GLISSIÈRE (33G) à l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A2). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE LARGE 14 mm NOIRES (1S). Enfoncer la TABLETTE (F) sur les GOUPILLES EN MÉTAL dans le VOILE DE FOND (G). Fixer un ÉLÉMENT GAUCHE (40AX) au MONTANT (C3). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S). Fixer la TABLETTE (F) au MONTANT (C3). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (2S). Fixer l'ÉLÉMENT DROITE à l’étape 8. Fixer l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A2) à la TABLETTE (F) et au VOILE DE FOND (G). Serrer trois EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Page 26 Fixer le VOILE DE FOND (G) au MONTANT (C3). Si besoin est, enfoncer sur les coins opposés de l'élément pour s'assurer d'être « d'équerre ». Fixer l'ÉLÉMENT DROIT (40W) aux CONSOLES DE GLISSIÈRE sur l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A2). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S). Fixer l'ARRIÈRE (H) à l'élément à l'aide des CLOUS (5N). Fixer le DESSUS (D) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2) et au MONTANT (C3). ÉTAPE 12 Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (T) et les CÔTÉS DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (U) à la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (R). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 38 mm MARRON (14S). Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (T) aux CÔTÉS DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (U). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 38 mm MARRON (14S). ÉTAPE 14 Fixer le TIROIR DROIT (40AY) et le TIROIR GAUCHE (40AZ) à la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (R). Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D78) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D28 et D29). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (30S). Pour insérer les tiroirs dans l'élément, abaisser le devant des tiroirs et faire passer les roulettes situées sur les tiroirs derrière les roulettes situées sur l'élément. Relever les devants du tiroir et les enfiler dans l'élément. Répéter cette étape pour insérer la TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (R). REMARQUE : S'assurer que le FOND DE TIROIR (D707) s'encastre dans la rainure de l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D78). Pour ajuster le DEVANT DE TABLETTE DE CLAVIER (SS) , desserrer les VIS des CHARNIÈRES (12H), ajuster et serrer les VIS. 2. Enfiler le FOND DE TIROIR (D707) dans les rainures des CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D28 et D29) et du DEVANT DE TIROIR (M). Répéter cette étape pour le petit tiroir. ÉTAPE 19 ÉTAPE 16 Insérer une EXCENTRIQUE DE COULISSE (10A) dans les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D28 et D29). Fixer le TIROIR DROIT (40CC) et le TIROIR GAUCHE (40CD) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D28 et D29). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 1 et nº 4. REMARQUE : La tête de vis dans l'EXCENTRIQUE doit être visible à travers le trou fendu dans la COULISSE. Répéter cette étape pour le petit tiroir en utilisant le TIROIR DROIT (35GC) et TIROIR GAUCHE (35GD). Pour ajuster le tiroir, desserrer la VIS nº 4 dans les COULISSES un quart de tour et tourner ensuite la CAME dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre ou dans le sens contraire. Noter que le tiroir monte ou descend lorsque l'on tourne la CAME. Plus la vis dans le trou oblong est haute, plus le devant de tiroir sera haut. Plus la vis est basse, plus le devant de tiroir sera bas. Ajuster le tiroir de cette manière permet au DEVANT DE TIROIR d'être mieux aligné une fois fermé. Resserrer la VIS après d'avoir ajusté.
