Cet appareil à ultrasons est utilisé en dentisterie

avec les instruments à ultrasons EMS.

This ultrasonic unit is for use in dentistry with EMS

ultrasonic instruments.

EMS supplies ultrasonic instruments for the

following indications:

Removal of supragingival calculus

Removal of subgingival calculus

Periodontal treatment

Preparation of proximal cavities

Luting tooth-shaded inlays and onlays with

highly thixotropic, dual-curing cements

Removal of crowns, bridges, inlays and posts

as well as condensing gutta-percha

Connecting the handpiece

Make sure that no liquid collects in the

two sections of the coupling. If necessary, shake

the liquid out of both sections. This improves the

electrical transmission in the handpiece hose.

Einstellung der Flüssigkeitsmenge

Beachten Sie für die Einstellung der Flüs-

sigkeitsmenge die Bedienungsanleitung zu den

EMS Piezon -Systemen. Sie ﬁnden dort für jedes

Instrument genaue Angaben für die korrekte

Einstellung.

Arbeiten Sie, mit Ausnahme der dafür

vorgesehenen Instrumente, niemals trocken.

Die Arbeitsspitze der Instrumente erwärmt sich

sofort bei trockenem Arbeiten. Eine ausreichende

Kühlung der Arbeitsspitze erreichen Sie bei einer

Mindestdurchﬂussmenge von 6 ml pro Minute.

Setting the liquid ﬂow rate

The liquid ﬂow rate is indicated in the oper-

ating instructions for Piezon systems which include

precise details on the correct settings for every

instrument.

Never work dry, unless the instrument is

intended speciﬁcally for this purpose. The tip of the

instrument immediately heats up when used dry.

For a sufﬁcient cooling of the tip of the instrument,

a minimum liquid ﬂow rate of 6 ml. per minute is

necessary.

Bei der Verwendung eines Scheuerpulvers oder

Hartschwamms kann die Oberﬂäche beschädigt

werden.

Das Gerät ist nicht Spritzwassergeschützt.

Es kann nicht sterilisiert werden.

Avant d’expédier votre produit avec l’en-

semble de ses accessoires, désinfectez, nettoyez

et stérilisez-le conformément au mode d’emploi.

En cas d’expédition directe de votre produit vers

votre centre de réparation agréé EMS, indiquez

le nom de votre fournisseur. Cela nous permettra

ainsi de simpliﬁer le traitement.

In the case of non-authorized repairs or damaged

due to non-adherence to the operating instructions,

EMS accepts no liability whatsoever. This will also

void the warranty.

It is best to ship your product in the original pack-

aging. It protects your product against damage

during shipment.

Before dispatching your product including all

accessories, please clean, disinfect and sterilize

as described in the operating instructions.

When sending your product directly to the approved

EMS repair center, please include the name and

address of your dealer. This simpliﬁes processing

Para el transporte lo mejor es utilizar el emba-

laje original. Dentro de éste su producto estará

protegido de forma óptima contra un transporte

incorrecto.

Antes de enviar su producto junto con todos

sus accesorios, desinfecte, limpie y esterilice todo

el material según se indica en las instrucciones

de empleo.

Cuando envíe su producto directamente a nuestro

centro de reparación autorizado EMS, indique por

favor el nombre de su depósito. De este modo nos

VERTRÄGLICHKEIT

Für dieses miniPiezon sind im Bereich der

elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit spezielle

Vorsichtsmassnahmen erforderlich. Es muss daher

in Übereinstimmung mit dem Kapitel "Elektroma-

gnetische Verträglichkeit" installiert und in Betrieb

genommen werden.

Bestimmte Typen mobiler Funkkommuni-

kationsgeräte können das Funktionieren dieses

miniPiezon beeinträchtigen. Die empfohlenen

räumlichen Entfernungen müssen gemäss Kapitel

"Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit" eingehalten

werden.

Bei einer elektrostatischen Entladung und

Netzstörungen während der Behandlung kann das

miniPiezon vorübergehend seine Ultraschallstärke

einbüssen. In diesem Fall muss das Pedal freige-

geben und dann wieder betätigt werden, um die

passende Leistung zu erzielen.

Dieses miniPiezon darf nicht in der Nähe

eines anderen Geräts verwendet oder darauf

gestapelt werden. Ist dies nicht zu vermeiden,

muss die Funktion des Gerätes in dieser Konﬁ-

guration vor Benutzen geprüft werden.

Der Gebrauch anderer Zubehörteile oder

Kabel, die nicht von EMS empfohlen oder als

Ersatzteile geliefert werden, kann zu verstärktem

Senden oder verringerter Störfestigkeit dieses

miniPiezon führen.

COMPATIBILITÉ

ÉLECTROMAGNÉTIQUE

Ce miniPiezon nécessite des précautions

particulières concernant la compatibilité électroma-

gnétique. Il doit être installé et mis en service selon

le chapitre "Compatibilité Électromagnétique".

Certains types d’appareils mobiles de

télécommunication sont susceptibles d’interférer

avec ce miniPiezon. Les distances de séparation

recommandées dans le chapitre "Compatibilité

Électromagnétique" doivent être respectées.

En cas de décharges électrostatiques ou

d’interférences sur l’alimentation secteur durant

le fonctionnement, le miniPiezon peut momenta-

nément perdre en puissance ultrasonique. Dans

ce cas, relâcher et presser à nouveau la pédale

d’activation pour rétablir la puissance paramé-

trée.

Ce miniPiezon ne doit pas être utilisé à

proximité d’un autre appareil ou empilé sur ce

dernier. Si cette conﬁguration ne peut être évitée,

il est impératif avant l'utilisation de vériﬁer son bon

fonctionnement dans les conditions d’utilisation.

L’utilisation d’accessoires ou de câbles

autres que ceux spéciﬁés ou vendus par EMS

comme pièces de remplacement, peut avoir comme

conséquence une augmentation de l’émission ou

une diminution de l’immunité de ce miniPiezon.

ELECTROMAGNETIC

COMPATIBILITY

This miniPiezon needs special precautions

regarding electromagnetic compatibility and needs

to be installed and put into service according to

the chapter "Electromagnetic compatibility".

Certain types of mobile telecommunication

equipment could potentially interfere with this mini-

Piezon. The separation distances recommended in

the chapter "Electromagnetic compatibility" must

be taken into account.

In case of electrostatic discharge or mains

interferences during the treatment, the miniPiezon

could momentarily lose its ultrasound intensity. In

this case, the pedal must be released and pressed

again to recover the adjusted power.

This miniPiezon should not be used adja-

cent to or stacked with other unit. If adjacent or

stacked use is necessary, this miniPiezon should

be observed to verify normal operation in the

conﬁguration in which it will be used.

The use of accessories and cables other

than those speciﬁed or sold by EMS as replace-

ment parts, may result in increased emissions or

decreased immunity of this miniPiezon.
