Fasten a DRAWER RIGHT (40CC) and a DRAWER LEFT (40CD) to the DRAWER SIDES (D83 and D84). Use four GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S) through holes #2 and #4. Screw head - turn CAM to line up holes in SLIDES with holes in DRAWER SIDES. Use two SILVER 5/8" MACHINE SCREWS (15S). å å Slide the FILE GLIDES (4B) onto the top edges of the LARGE DRAWER SIDES (D14 and D15). Fasten the KNOB (24K) to the PENCIL DRAWER FRONT (I) as shown in the lower diagram. Use four SILVER 5/8" MACHINE SCREWS (15S). å Second, fasten the DRAWER FRONT (N) to the DRAWER BOX FRONT (W). Use four BLACK 1-1/8" PAN HEAD SCREWS (9S). If you're doing this to help a friend, don't leave without a bite. 9S BLACK 1-1/8" PAN HEAD SCREW (4 used for the DRAWER FRONT) 15S SILVER 5/8" MACHINE SCREW (4 used for the PULLS) W N 7K 1. Fasten the PULLS (7K) before you attach the DRAWER FRONT (N). www.sauder.com/services These edges should be even. 409733 Page 23 Step 20 å å å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å å Push a CAM COVER (12P) onto each HIDDEN CAM. Position your unit in its final location. With a screwdriver, turn the ADJUSTABLE FOOT (34E) downward until it touches the floor. IMPORTANT: The ADJUSTABLE FOOT should not extend beyond the bottom edges of the LEGS (G and H). To insert the drawers into your unit, tip the front of the drawer down and drop the rollers on the drawer behind the rollers on the unit. Lift the front of the drawer up and slide it into the unit. Push a GROMMET CAP (1P) and GROMMET (10P) into the large hole in the TOP (D2). 1P 10P 20 lbs. 50 lbs. 5 lbs. D2 H 15 lbs. 30 lbs. H 12P (3 used) G With your No. 2 Phillips Screwdriver, turn the ADJUSTABLE FOOT downward until it touches the floor. To cover HIDDEN CAMS Floor 34E Page 24 409733 www.sauder.com/services Step 21 å To make adjustments to the drawers, loosen SCREW #4 in the SLIDES a 1/4 turn, then turn the CAM clockwise or counter-clockwise. Notice how the drawer raises or lowers as you turn the CAM. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. By adjusting the drawers this way, it will help the DRAWER FRONTS line up better when closed. Tighten the SCREW when finished with adjustments. å å NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry. And to celebrate, why not share your success story? Loosen screw #4 a 1/4 turn, turn the cam a 1/4 turn maximum in both the clockwise and counter-clockwise directions to make adjustments, and then tighten screw #4. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. Assembler l'élément sur un sol à moquette ou sur le carton vide pour éviter d'endommager l'élément ou le sol. REMARQUE : S'assurer de bien insérer la GOUPILLE EN MÉTAL dans le trou dans l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE DE SURMEUBLE. Ensuite, insérer l’extrémité en metal de la CHEVILLE D'EXCENTRIQUE (2F) dans chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE. REMARQUE : S'assurer de bien insérer la GOUPILLE EN MÉTAL située sur la TABLETTE DE SURMEUBLE dans le trou dans l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE DE SURMEUBLE. ÉTAPE 3 Retourner le SURMEUBLE sur son chant avant et serrer l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE DE SURMEUBLE (Y3) au ARRIÈRE DE SURMEUBLE (CC). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Faire tourner quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 14 mm NOIRES (32S) dans les EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2) jusqu'à ce que l'épaulement des VIS repose sur la surface des EXTRÉMITÉS. Enfiler les MOULURES D'EXTRÉMITÉ (X) sur les EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2). Aligner la rainure des MOULURES sur les têtes des VIS dans les EXTRÉMITÉS. ÉTAPE 4 Fixer les PIEDS (G et H) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2). Serrer douze EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 5 Fixer lÉLÉMENTS DROITE (40CA) et l'ÉLÉMENTS GAUCHE (40CB) aux EXTRÉMITÉS (A2 et B2) et au MONTANT (C2). Utiliser douze VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 1 et nº 3. ÉTAPE 9 Fixer le DESSUS (D2) à le MONTANT DE SURMEUBLE (AA3). Utiliser deux VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (2S). Fixer le DESSUS (D2) à l'ARRIÈRE DE SURMEUBLE (CC). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 48 mm NOIRES (2S). ÉTAPE 10 Fixer l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B2) au DESSUS (D2). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 11 Fixer le VOILE DE FOND (F2) à l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE (B2). Serrer trois EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 6 Fixer l'EXTRÉMITÉ GAUCHE DE SURMEUBLE (Z3) à l'ARRIÈRE DE SURMEUBLE (CC). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 12 Fixer l'EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A2) au DESSUS (D2). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. ÉTAPE 7 Utilisation de la FIXATION TWIST-LOCK® SAUDER 1. Insérer l'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION dans le trou de la pièce attenante. Fixer le VOILE DE FOND (F2) à l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A2). Serrer trois EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. Fixer le DESSOUS (E3) à l’EXTRÉMITÉ DROITE (A2). Serrer deux EXCENTRIQUES ESCAMOTABLES. REMARQUE : L'extrémité filetée de la FIXATION doit rester complètement insérée dans le trou de la pièce attenante lorsque l'on bloque la FIXATION. 2. Faire glisser une ARMATURE POUR DOSSIERS (4B) sur le chant supérieur des CÔTÉS DE GRAND TIROIR (D14 et D15). Fixer le BOUTON (24K) sur le DEVANT DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (I). Utiliser la VIS NOIRE À MÉTAUX 22 mm (37S). ÉTAPE 15 1. Insérer les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D83 et D84) en biseau dans la fente dans chaque extrémité du DEVANT DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (I). ÉTAPE 19 2. Enfiler le FOND DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D726) dans les rainures des CÔTÉS DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (D83 et D84) et du DEVANT DE TIROIR À CRAYONS (I). Tout d'abord, fixer deux POIGNÉES (7K) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (N). Utiliser quatre VIS À MÉTAUX 16 mm ARGENTÉES (15S). 3. Fixer l’ENTRETOISE DE TIROIR (M64) au DEVANT DE TIROIR (I). Utiliser cinq VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (30S). ÉTAPE 16 1. Insérer les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D30 et D31) en biseau dans la fente dans chaque extrémité du DEVANT DE CAISSON DU TIROIR (W). Fixer ensuite le DEVANT DE TIROIR (N) au DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR (W). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE GOUTTE DE SUIF 28 mm NOIRES (9S). ÉTAPE 20 Relever, avec précaution, l'élément dans sa position verticale. Placer l'élément dans son emplacement final. À l’aide d’un tournevis, tourner le PIED RÉGLABLE (34E) vers le bas jusqu'à ce qu'il touche le sol. IMPORTANT : Le PIED RÉGLABLE ne doit pas dépasser les chants inférieurs des PIEDS (G et H). 2. Enfiler le FOND DE TIROIR (D716) dans les rainures des CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D30 et D31) et du DEVANT DE CAISSON DE TIROIR (W). Pour insérer les tiroirs dans l'élément, abaisser le devant du tiroir et faire passer les roulettes situées sur le tiroir derrière les roulettes situées sur l'élément. Relever le devant du tiroir et l'enfiler dans l'élément. 3. Fixer l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D77) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D30 et D31). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 40 mm NOIRES (EEE). Enfoncer un COUVERCLE D'EXCENTRIQUE (12P) sur chaque EXCENTRIQUE ESCAMOTABLE. REMARQUE : S'assurer que le FOND DE TIROIR (D716) s'encastre dans la rainure de l'ARRIÈRE DE TIROIR (D77). Insérer un COUVERCLE DE PASSE-CÂBLES (1P) et PASSE-CÂBLES (10P) dans le gros trou du DESSUS (D2). Répéter cette étape pour le grand tiroir. ÉTAPE 17 Insérer une EXCENTRIQUE DE COULISSE (10A) dans les CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D83 et D84). Fixer un TIROIR DROIT (40CC) et un TIROIR GAUCHE (40CD) aux CÔTÉS DE TIROIR (D83 et D84). Utiliser quatre VIS TÊTE PLATE 8 mm DORÉES (3S) à travers les trous nº 2 et nº 4. REMARQUE : La tête de vis dans l'EXCENTRIQUE doit être visible à travers le trou fendu dans la COULISSE. Répéter cette étape pour les autres tiroirs. ÉTAPE 21 Pour ajuster les tiroirs, desserrer la VIS nº 4 dans les COULISSES un quart de tour et tourner ensuite la CAME dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre ou dans le sens contraire. Noter que le tiroir monte ou descend lorsque l'on tourne la CAME. Plus la vis dans le trou oblong est haute, plus le devant de tiroir sera haut. Plus la vis est basse, plus le devant de tiroir sera bas. Ajuster les tiroirs de cette manière permet aux DEVANTS DE TIROIR d'être mieux alignés une fois fermés.
