BUILT TO LAST Description The cordless inflator delivers up to 230/250 psi and serves as a rechargeable 12-volt power supply. This inflator inflates tires, rafts and sports equipment and also powers 12volt tools and appliances. Unpacking When unpacking this product, carefully inspect for any damage that may have occurred during transit. Safety Guidelines This manual contains information that is very important to know and understand. This information is provided for SAFETY and to PREVENT EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS. For best results, charge the battery in temperatures ranging from 65°F (18°C) to 75°F (24°C). The following safety precautions must be followed at all times along with any other existing safety rules: 1. Completely read the manual(s) included with this product carefully. Be thoroughly familiar with the proper use of the unit. MANUAL 2. Do not continue to operate the inflator after the yellow battery indicator light comes on. 3. Only use the enclosed recharging adapters. 4. Avoid charging the battery at temperatures below 40°F (5° C) or above 105°F (40°C). Do not operate the inflator with the 120-volt AC recharging adapter connected to the unit because the charger could become damaged. NOTICE 5. Never operate the inflator near fire, flammable gas or liquid. 6. Never leave unit unattended while in use. 7. Protect the unit from rain, snow or other sources of moisture. 8. Do not put metal objects into the 12-volt DC power outlet. 9. Always replace the fuse with the same amperage rating (15 amp). Never use a fuse with a higher amperage rating. The cordless inflator battery is not fully charged. The battery must be charged using either the 120-volt AC or the 12-volt DC recharging adapter before CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 ! Operation NOTICE Battery must be charged before initial use and if the yellow light comes on. If the power is totally drained from the battery and not recharged, the battery may not be rechargeable. Recharge the unit every 3to-6 months even if the unit has not been used. 120-VOLT AC RECHARGING To recharge the battery using the 120volt AC adapter, follow the subsequent procedures: 1. Push the power switch to the off position and insert the 120-volt AC recharging adapter into the AC charge input socket located next to the power switch. 2. Plug the charger into a 110/120-volt electrical outlet. 3. The red charging light will come on indicating the battery is recharging and will remain on until charger is removed. No other indicator lights will come on. 4. Charge the inflator for 14 to 16 continuous hours before initial use. After multiple uses, recharge the battery for 7 to 9 hours. If the battery is drained after the green light is off, the life of the battery may be shortened. INFLATION INSTRUCTIONS NOTICE Do not leave the inflator unattended while the unit is running. ! WARNING 12-VOLT DC RECHARGING This unit is NOT intended for recharging a car battery. ! CAUTION Never start the car (vehicle) when the 12-volt DC recharging adapter is plugged into the cigarette lighter. ! The universal adapter must be locked to secure the inflation accessories. Any misuse could cause property damage or personal injury. Use extreme caution when using inflation accessories. ! WARNING CAUTION NOTE: Charging the battery while the car engine is not running drains the car battery and is not recommended. If the unit is used too long after the yellow light comes on, recharging time could take up to 7 hours. To recharge the battery using the 12volt DC adapter while driving, follow the subsequent procedures: 1. Insert the 12-volt DC recharging adapter into the 12-volt DC output socket. 2. Insert the other end into the cigarette lighter and rotate to make a good electrical contact. Turn unit off to allow inflator to cool for 20 minutes after 20 minutes of continuous operation. If not cooled properly the inflator will overheat. ! CAUTION Make sure the universal adapter touches the core of tire valve stem. NOTICE After the battery is charged, the inflator is ready for use. If the battery has not been charged, see sections 120-VOLT AC CHARGING or 12-VOLT DC CHARGING before continuing. 1. Remove valve stem cap. Attach the universal adapter from the air inflator to the valve stem with the lever in the up position. Be sure to press universal adapter down over valve stem threads completely. Lock BATTERY INDICATOR LIGHTS GREEN LIGHT YELLOW LIGHT 2. To use the inflation accessories, insert piece into the universal adapter and push the lever to lock into place (See Figure 1). FUSE REPLACEMENT Storage 3. The inflator should be charged for 5 to 6 hours while driving before the initial use. After multiple uses, recharge the inflator for 3 hours. Green and yellow lights show the battery condition. The green light indicates a charged battery. The yellow light indicates the battery is low and needs recharging. The red light When universal adapter is firmly in place, press locking lever down to lock onto valve stem (See Fig 1). Battery Disposal RED LIGHT BATTERY INDICATION This product contains a rechargeable sealed lead-acid battery. The environmental laws in some states require retailers to accept returns of rechargeable batteries for proper disposal. Check the state environmental laws before disposing this product. Items or service that are normally required to maintain the product, i.e. o-rings, springs, bumpers, debris shields, driver blades, fuses, batteries, gaskets, packings or seals, fluid nozzles, needles, sandblast nozzles, lubricants, material hoses, filter elements, motor vanes, abrasives, blades, cut-off wheels, chisels, chisel retainers, cutters, collets, chucks, rivet jaws, screw driver bits, sanding pads, back-up pads, impact mechanism, or any other expendable part not specifically listed. These items will only be covered for ninety (90) days from date of original purchase. Underlined items are warranted for defects in material and workmanship only. 7. WHEN WARRANTOR WILL PERFORM REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT UNDER THIS WARRANTY: Repair or replacement will be scheduled and serviced according to the normal work flow at the servicing location, and depending on the availability of replacement parts. This Limited Warranty applies in the United States, Canada and Mexico only and gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state or country to country. No continue operando el inflador después que la luz indicadora de la batería se encienda. 3. Sólo use los adaptadores incluídos. 4. Evite recargar la bateria a temperaturas inferiores a 5°C (40°F) o superiores a 40°C (105°F). AVISO Nunca opere el inflador con el adaptador de 120 V de corriente alterna conectado a la unidad porque el cargador podría dañarse. 5. Nunca opere el inflador cerca de llamas, gases ó líquidos inflamables. 6. Nunca se aleje de la unidad mientras esté encendida. 7. Proteja la unidad contra la lluvia, nieve u otras fuentes de humedad. 8. No introduzca objetos de metal en el tomacorrientes de 12 V de corriente directa. 9. Siempre reemplace el fusible con fusibles similares (de 15 A). Nunca use fusibles diseñados para circuitos de más amperios. La batería del inflador sin cordón eléctrico no está completamente cargada. Antes de usar la unidad por primera vez, debe cargar la batería usando el adaptador de 120 V de www.chpower.com corriente alterna o el de 12 V de corriente directa. Para obtener mejores resultados, cargue la batería a temperaturas entre 18°C (65°F) y 24°C (75°F). ADVERTENCIA Este producto o su cable de corriente contienen plomo, un químico que es conocido por el Estado de California como causante de cáncer y defectos de nacimiento u otros daños reproductivos. Lávese las manos después de manipularlo. Funcionamiento AVISO Debe cargar la batería del inflador antes de usar la unidad por primera vez o si la luz amarilla se enciende. Si la batería se descarga completamente y no la recarga, tal vez no podrá recargarla posteriormente. Recargue la unidad cada 3-5 meses aunque no la haya utilizado. PARA UTILIZAR EL CARGADOR DE 120 V DE CORRIENTE DIRECTA Si desea recargar la bateria con el cargador de 120 V de corriente alterna siga los pasos enumerados a continuación: 1. Coloque el interruptor en OFF (apagado) y conecte el adaptador de 120 V de corriente alterna al enchufe de corriente alterna ubicado al lado del interruptor. 2. Enchufe el cargador en un tomacorriente de 110/120 voltios. 3. Se encenderá la luz roja de carga indicando que la batería se está recargando y permanecerá encendida hasta que se quite el cargador. No se encenderá ninguna otra luz indicadora. RECORDATORIO: ¡Guarde su comprobante de compra con fecha para fines de la garantía!
