This compact hair trimmer is intended solely for cutting hu-

man hair.

The device is designed for private home use and must not

be used for commercial purposes. The device must only be

used indoors.

power adapter. While in battery mode, the de-

vice can be rinsed under running water, howev-

~Do not use the connected device in the vicinity of

bathtubs, showers, sinks or other containers holding

~The connected device, the cord and the power adapt-

er must never be rinsed under running water.

~If the connected device has fallen into water, pull out

the power adapter immediately, and only then re-

move the device from the water. Do not use the device

again unless it has been checked by a professional.

~If the device is used in a bathroom, the power adapt-

er must be pulled out after use, as the proximity of wa-

ter represents a hazard, even when the device is

switched off.

Installation of a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)

with a rated residual operating current of no more than

30 mA is recommended to provide additional protec-

tion. Ask your electrician for advice. The installation

should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

The ambient temperature should not be lower than

14 °F or higher than +104 °F.

~The charging contacts on the device must not come

into contact with metallic objects.

~The battery may only be charged with the original ac-

cessory (power adapter).

~Should the electrolyte solution leak out of the battery,

avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and

skin. Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water

and consult a doctor. The electrolyte solution can

cause irritation.

7. Charging

TIP:

• Before the device is used for the first time, and during

the following three charging procedures, the device

should be charged for 90 minutes in each case.

• When the batteries are nearly empty, the LED|2 flash-

es red. The device can then only be used for a short

time without being connected to the power supply.

• When the battery is fully charged, the device can be

used for approximately 40 minutes without being con-

nected to the power supply.

1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if neces-

sary.

2. Connect the power adapter|6 to the connection for

the power adapter|5 of the device.

3. Insert the power adapter|6 into a readily accessible

outlet whose voltage matches the voltage stated on

the rating plate.

4. The LED|2 is lit red and the battery is charged. When

the battery is fully charged, the LED|2 is lit green.

When the battery is fully charged, the device can be

used for approximately 40 minutes without being con-

nected to the power supply.

8. Operation

8.1 Before switching on for the first time

~After unpacking, there may still be oil residue on the

cutting blades of the blade unit|1. Remove the residue

with an absorbent, lint-free cloth before using the de-

vice for the first time.

Regardless of the charging state of the battery, the com-

pact hair trimmer can always be used in AC power mode.

1. Before switching to AC power, ensure that the device

is switched off.

2. Connect the power adapter|6 to the connection for

the power adapter|5 of the device.

3. Insert the power adapter|6 into a readily accessible

outlet whose voltage matches the voltage stated on

the rating plate.

4. Switch on the device with the on/off switch|3.

Pushing on

•Figure A: to fasten one of the comb attachments|7,

push it over the blade unit|1 from the front, and press

it upwards at the rear of the device until you hear it

click into the mount|8.

Removing

• Release the comb attachment|7 at the mount|8, and

push it forward off the blade unit|1.

8.3 Cutting hair

Risk of electric shock

~The hair trimmer and the power adapter|6 must not

be submerged in water, and must therefore not be op-

erated in a shower/bath.

Risk of injury

~The tips of the blade unit|1 are sharp. Handle with

care.

~Do not use the device on open wounds, cuts, sunburn

or blisters.

TIP: trimming hair is possible both in battery mode and in

AC power operation.

• Comb through long hair before cutting it.

• Select the appropriate comb attachment|7 for the de-

sired cutting length:

1/16“ / 5/64“ / 3/32“ / 1/8“ / 3/16“ / 1/4“ /

3/8“ / 1/2“ / 5/8“

• Without a comb attachment|7, you achieve a cutting

length of 0.02 to 0.04 in., depending on the angle at

which you hold the hair trimmer against the skin.

• Hold the hair trimmer with the underside parallel to

the skin surface.

• Move the blade unit|1 of the hair trimmer slowly and

evenly against the direction of hair growth.

• Stretch your skin in challenging spots, such as the

neck, to achieve better results.

• After each haircutting use, switch the device off and

clean the parts carefully (Chapter "Cleaning and

care" on page 22).

8.4 Handling of the hair trimmer

The particularly compact form of this hair trimmer allows

trimming of one’s own hair even in difficult to access loca-

tions, such as the neck area or at the back of your head.

Top of the head:

Hold the device at the front with your

thumb. The other fingers grasp the rear

side of the device.

Back of the head and neck:

Hold the device on the underside with

your thumb. The other fingers grasp

the top and front sides of the device.

Sides:

Grasp the device from its sides.

Hairlines:

In order to cut hairlines (particularly in

the neck area), turn over the device

and hold it vertically to the skin sur-

face. Work from the top downward.

Hold the device at the top with your

thumb. The other fingers grasp the rear

side and underside of the device.

9. Cleaning and care

~Pull the power adapter|6 out of the outlet before you

clean the device.

9.1 Power adapter

• Wipe down the power adapter|6 with a damp cloth.

9.2 Comb attachments

• Remove the comb attachment|7.

• Rinse the comb attachments|7 with water and let them

dry before reattaching them to the device.

9.3 Hair trimmer with blade unit

Cleaning the blade unit dry

• Use the cleaning brush |9 supplied to remove leftover

hairs from the blade unit|1 after every use.

Cleaning the blade unit and hair trimmer with

water

The hair trimmer and blade unit|1 may be cleaned under

clean running water.

1. Remove the comb attachment|7, if necessary.

2. Clean the blade unit|1 and the hair trimmer under

running water.

3. Allow the parts to dry completely.

Oiling the blade unit

For oiling, use an acid-free oil, e.g. sewing machine oil.

• Every 6 months or so, apply a few drops of oil from

above onto the cutting blade of the blade unit|1.

• Switch the device on for a few minutes to spread the

oil around.

• Using a soft, lint-free cloth, wipe off the surplus oil, if

necessary.

10. Storage

~Keep the device out of the reach of children.

• Charge the battery before storing the device for a pro-

longed period. Please note that if the device is stored

for too long, this may reduce the capacity of the bat-

tery. Avoid any extended discharge of the battery.

11. Disposal

~The device is provided with a lithium-ion battery.

- The battery cannot be removed!

- This device must not be opened!

- The device with the installed battery must be dis-

posed of properly.

This appliance must not be disposed of as household garbage.

If the electrical appliance is no longer needed, it must be

handed over to the relevant local public waste authorities

for disposal.

As a rule, these waste disposal authorities run special col-

lection units for electrical appliances (recycling centers,

materials recovery centers, etc.).

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

- Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile

7. Carga

SUGERENCIA:

• Antes de utilizar el dispositivo por primera vez, y du-

rante los tres procedimientos de carga siguientes, el

dispositivo debe cargarse por 90 minutos cada vez.

• Cuando la batería esté casi vacía, el LED|2 parpa-

dea en rojo. El dispositivo entonces solo se podrá uti-

lizar durante un corto período sin estar conectado a

la fuente de alimentación.

• Cuando la batería está completamente cargada, el

dispositivo puede utilizarse por aproximadamente

40 minutos sin estar conectado a la fuente de alimen-

tación.

1. Apague el dispositivo con el interruptor de encen-

dido/apagado|3 si es necesario.

2. Conecte el adaptador de corriente|6 a la conexión

para el adaptador de corriente|5 del dispositivo.

3. Inserte el adaptador de corriente|6 en un tomaco-

rriente de fácil acceso, cuyo voltaje coincida con el

voltaje indicado en la placa de características.

4. El LED|2 se enciende en rojo y la batería está car-

gada. Cuando la batería está completamente car-

gada, el LED|2 se enciende en verde. Cuando la

batería está completamente cargada, el dispositivo

puede utilizarse por aproximadamente 40 minutos sin

estar conectado a la fuente de alimentación.

8. Funcionamiento

8.1 Antes de encenderlo por primera vez

~Después de desempacarlo, todavía pudiera haber re-

siduos de aceite en las hojillas de corte de la unidad

de la hojilla|1. Retire el residuo con un paño absor-

bente y sin pelusa, antes de usar el dispositivo por

primera vez.

Independientemente del estado de carga de la batería, el

cortador de cabello compacto siempre se puede utilizar

en modo de alimentación de CA.

1. Antes de cambiar a la alimentación de CA, asegú-

rese de que el dispositivo esté apagado.

2. Conecte el adaptador de corriente|6 a la conexión

para el adaptador de corriente|5 del dispositivo.

3. Inserte el adaptador de corriente|6 en un tomaco-

rriente de fácil acceso, cuyo voltaje coincida con el

• Sin un peine desmontable|7 se logra una longitud de

corte de 0.02 a 0.04 in., dependiendo del ángulo en

el que sostenga el cortador de cabello contra la piel.

• Sostenga el cortador de cabello con la parte inferior

paralela a la superficie de la piel.

• Mueva la unidad de la hojilla|1 del cortador de ca-

bello de forma lenta y uniforme en la dirección del

crecimiento del cabello.

• Estira la piel en los puntos difíciles, como el cuello,

para lograr mejores resultados.

• Después de cada corte de cabello, apague el disposi-

8.4 Manejo del cortador de cabello

La forma particularmente compacta de este cortador de

cabello permite cortar el cabello propio, incluso en luga-

res de difícil acceso, como el área del cuello o la parte

posterior de la cabeza.

Parte superior de la cabeza:

Sujete el dispositivo por la parte de-

lantera con su pulgar. Los otros dedos

sostendrán la parte posterior del dis-

positivo.

rior con su pulgar. Los otros dedos sos-

delanteros del dispositivo.

9.1 Adaptador de corriente

Limpieza con agua de la unidad de la hojilla y el

El cortador de cabello y la unidad de la hojilla|1 se pue-

den limpiar bajo agua corriente.

1. Retire los peines desmontables|7 si es necesario.

2. Limpie la unidad de la hojilla|1 y el cortador de

cabello con agua corriente.

3. Deje que las piezas se sequen por completo.

Aceitado de la unidad de la hojilla

Para aceitar, utilice un aceite libre de ácido, por ejemplo,

aceite de máquina de coser.

• Cada 6 meses, más o menos, aplique unas gotas de

aceite desde arriba sobre la hojilla de corte de la uni-

dad de la hojilla|1.

• Encienda el dispositivo durante unos minutos para ex-

tender el aceite.

• Use un paño suave y sin pelusa para limpiar el exce-

so de aceite, si es necesario.

10. Almacenamiento

~Mantenga el dispositivo fuera del alcance de los ni-

ños.

• Cargue la batería antes de guardar el dispositivo por

períodos prolongados. Por favor, tenga en cuenta que

almacenar el dispositivo por mucho tiempo puede re-

ducir la capacidad de la batería. Evite la descarga

prolongada de la batería.

11. Eliminación

14. Consejos de FCC

15. Garantía limitada de 3 años

Lo que cubre la presente garantía

La garantía incluye:

- Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad para funcionar

debido a defectos.

- Daños que no hayan sido causados por el desgaste

guridad y mantención incluidas en el manual para el

usuario.

Lo que no cubre esta garantía

La garantía no cubre daños causados por:

- El desgaste propio del uso del producto, incluidas las

etc.).

- Uso o transporte no indicado del producto.

- Desatención a las instrucciones de seguridad y man-

tención.

- Accidentes o causas de fuerza mayor (e.g. relámpa-

- Manipulación mal intencionada del producto (retirar la

cubierta, tornillos, etc.).

La presente garantía tampoco cubre daños indirectos o

emergentes. Sin embargo algunos estados no permiten la

Período de cobertura y resolución de la

garantía

La garantía es válida por 3 años a partir de la fecha de

compra. La empresa, según lo estime conveniente, devol-
