The Body Groomer is intended exclusively for cutting hu-

man body hair (not including the head, neck and face).

The device is designed for private, domestic use. The de-

vice must only be used indoors.

This device must not be used for commercial purposes.

hair.

TIP: do not use the device for cutting head hair or beard

hair. You will not achieve a satisfactory result.

Risk from batteries

such as e.g. rings, coins, bracelets or keys. Short-cir-

cuited batteries and the conductive objects can over-

heat and cause burns.

~Be sure to observe the correct polarity when inserting

the batteries. Replace only with the same or an equiva-

lent type.

~Clean the contacts of the batteries and device before

inserting the batteries.

~Always remove used batteries from the device immedi-

ately, since these may leak and therefore cause dam-

age.

~Remove the batteries from the device if you intend not

to use it for an extended period of time. The batteries

may leak and damage the device.

~Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not subject bat-

teries to extreme conditions, place them on radiators

or expose them to direct sunlight. Otherwise, there is

block|13. Under no circumstances should it be used to

clean the shaving foil|6. Bristles could get caught in

the shaving foil and damage it.

~To avoid any risk, do not make modifications to the de-

vice. Repairs must be carried out by a specialist work-

shop or the Service Center.

5. Inserting/replacing the battery

Risk from batteries

~Be sure to observe the polarity (+/-) when inserting the

batteries.

~Only use the battery type specified in the technical da-

ta.

~Always remove used batteries immediately, as these

could leak and therefore cause damage. Always dis-

pose of the old batteries according to regulations.

~Remove the battery if the device is not going to be

used for an extended period of time.

TIP: when the motor of the device becomes slower and the

cutting performance deteriorates, replace the battery.

1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if neces-

sary.

2. Figure B: rotate the battery compartment cover|5 so

that the arrow of the battery compartment lock|4

points to the open lock symbol .

3. Remove the battery compartment cover|5.

4. Remove the empty battery|12, if appropriate, and dis-

pose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.

5. Insert the new battery (type AA, 1.5 V)|12 into the

battery compartment with the (+)-pole first, corre-

sponding to the marking on the battery compartment.

6. Replace the battery compartment cover|5 so that the

arrow of the battery compartment lock|4 points to the

open lock symbol .

7. Applying light pressure, rotate the battery compart-

ment cover|5 so that the arrow points to the closed

lock symbol .

6. Operation

6.1 Replacing the blade head

The device is supplied with two different blade heads:

• The trimmer head|1 is used with two different attach-

ments for trimming body hair to 0.12 in. (using the

3 mm attachment|10) or 0.02 in. (using the 0.5 mm

attachment|11).

• The shaver head|9 is used for smooth shaving of body

hair.

1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if neces-

sary.

2. Figure A: rotate the trimmer head|1

/ shaver head|

so that the arrow of the lock|2 points to the open lock

symbol .

3. Remove the trimmer head|1 / shaver head|9.

4. Place the desired blade head (trimmer head|1 or

shaver head|9) so that the arrow points to the open

lock symbol .

5. Rotate the blade head (1/9) so that the arrow points

to the closed lock symbol .

6.2 Changing attachments for the trimmer

head

Risk of injury

~Never use the trimmer head|1 without attachment|10/

11.

~Do not use the device if parts are damaged.

• Use the 3 mm attachment|10 to trim hair to a length of

0.12 in., or as a preparation for longer hair (longer

than 0.8 in.).

• Using the 0.5 mm attachment|11, you achieve a hair

length of approx. 0.02 in.

1. Figure C: remove any attachment|10/11 currently

in place by gripping it from the sides and carefully

pulling it off the trimmer head|1.

2. Figure D: place the desired attachment|10/11 onto

the trimmer head|1 in such a way that the two arrows

on the attachment|10/11

and trimmer head|

1 point at

one another, and carefully press the attachment|10/

11 down until it clicks into place.

6.3 Trimming

Risk of injury

~Do not use the device if parts are damaged.

~Do not use the device on open wounds, cuts, sunburn

or blisters.

TIPS:

• The device can be used on either dry or wet skin. You

will achieve the best results if the hair is dry when

trimmed.

• Stretch sensitive areas of skin during trimming.

• Do not apply strong pressure.

1. Place the trimmer head|1 onto the device.

2. Switch on the device with the on/off switch|3.

3. Figure E: move the trimmer head|1 with the attach-

ment|10/11 flat against the skin, always holding the

device at a 45° angle. Move the device slowly

against the direction of hair growth. You can move

the device in both directions (forwards and back-

wards).

4. Press the on/off switch|3 again to switch the device

off again.

6.4 Shaving

Risk of injury

~Do not use the device if parts are damaged.

~Do not use the device on open wounds, cuts, sunburn

or blisters.

Risk of material damage

~Do not apply excessive pressure on the shaving foil|6

of the shaver head|9. It is thin and can easily be dam-

aged.

TIPS:

• The device is suitable for both dry and wet shaving.

You will achieve the best results with dry hair.

• For wet shaving, never use additional products such as

shaving foam or soap lather, shaving gel or shaving

cream. You will impair the result, and may clog the

shaver head|9.

• Stretch sensitive areas of skin during shaving.

• Initial use may cause temporary irritation or redness of

the skin, as the skin has to adjust to shaving. This is

normal and usually lasts between 2 to 4 weeks.

1. Place the shaver head|9 onto the device.

2. Switch on the device with the on/off switch|3.

3. Hold the shaver head|9 at a right angle to the skin

surface and guide it over your skin without pressure.

Move the device slowly against the direction of hair

growth. You can move the device in both directions

(forwards and backwards).

4. Press the on/off switch|3 again to switch the device

off again.

7. Cleaning and maintenance of the

device

Risk of material damage

~Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.

TIP: to ensure good cutting performance and prevent

pinching, the device must be cleaned and maintained reg-

ularly.

Cleaning the trimmer head

1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if neces-

sary.

2. Remove any attachment|10/11 currently in place.

3. Clean the trimmer head|1

and the attachments

using the cleaning brush supplied.

4. Rinse the trimmer head|1

and the attachments

|10/11

under clean running water.

5. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling

them and putting them away.

Oiling the trimmer head

Oil the trimmer head|1...

… if you feel pinching during trimming, or if the trimming

performance deteriorates.

… depending on the intensity of use, but generally after

6 months at the latest.

1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if neces-

sary.

2. Remove any attachment|10/11 currently in place.

3. Apply a drop of sewing machine oil to the cleaned

blades of the trimmer head|1.

4. Switch on the device with the on/off switch|3 in order

to spread the oil around.

Cleaning the shaver head

Risk of material damage

~Do not apply excessive pressure on the shaving foil|6

of the shaver head|9. It is thin and can easily be dam-

aged.

~Only use the cleaning brush for cleaning the cutter

block. Under no circumstances should it be used to

clean the shaving foil|6. Bristles could get caught in

the shaving foil and damage it.

1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch|3 if neces-

sary.

2. Figure F: press both release buttons|8 and carefully

take off the shaving foil frame|7.

3. Tap the shaving foil frame|7 carefully.

4. Clean the cutter block|13 using the cleaning brush

supplied.

5. Rinse the cutter block|13 and the shaving foil frame|7

under clean running water.

6. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling

them and putting them away.

TIP: it is not necessary to oil the shaver head|9.

8. Storage

Risk for babies and children

~Keep the device out of the reach of children.

• If you are not going to use the device for an extended

period, remove the battery|12.

• Store the device in a location protected against dust

and extreme conditions, e.g. without direct sunlight, in

an ambient temperature between 50 °F and 104 °F.

9. Disposal

This appliance must not be disposed of as household gar-

bage.

If the electrical appliance is no longer be used, it must be

handed over to the relevant local public waste authorities

for disposal.

As a rule, these waste disposal authorities run special re-

ception units for electrical appliances (recycling centers,

materials recovery centers etc.).

Batteries must not be discarded with your household

waste. Spent batteries must be disposed of properly.

checklist first. Perhaps there is only a minor problem, and

you can solve it yourself.

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

- Damage, breakage, or inoperability due to defect.

- Damage not accounted by normal wear and tear or

following the safety and maintenance instructions pro-

vided in the user manual.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

- Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile

parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);

- Improper use or transport;

- Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;

- Accidents or acts of nature (eg., lightening, fire, water,

etc.);

- Tampering with the product (such as removing cover,

What is the period of coverage and

The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase. At our

discretion, product will either be refunded or replaced.

5. Colocación/sustitución de la pila

Riesgo de las baterías

~Tenga en cuenta la polaridad (+/–) al colocarlas.

~Utilice únicamente el tipo de pilas indicado en las es-

pecificaciones técnicas.

~Saque inmediatamente las pilas usadas para evitar

una fuga en las mismas, que podría causar daños. Eli-

mine las pilas viejas de forma reglamentaria.

~Si no usa el aparato durante un período de tiempo

prolongado, retire la pila del mismo.

SUGERENCIA: sustituya la pila si el motor del aparato se

vuelve más lento y la capacidad de corte disminuye.

7. Gire la cubierta del compartimento de la pila|5 con

una leve presión de tal forma que la flecha apunte

hacia el símbolo del candado cerrado .

6. Uso

6.1 Cambio del cabezal de corte

El aparato se suministra con dos cabezales de corte dife-

rentes:

• El cabezal cortador|1 se utiliza con dos accesorios

distintos para recortar el vello a 0.12 in (con el acce-

sorio de 3 mm|10) o a 0.02 in (con el accesorio de

0.5 mm|11).

• El cabezal de afeitado|9 se emplea para el afeitado

completo del vello corporal.|

1. En caso necesario, desconecte el aparato con el inte-

rruptor de encendido/apagado|3.

6.2 Cambio de los accesorios del cabezal

6.3 Afeitado

~No utilice el aparato si presenta piezas dañadas.

~No utilice el aparato sobre heridas abiertas, cortes,

quemaduras o ampollas.

SUGERENCIAS:

• El aparato puede utilizarse tanto sobre la piel seca

como mojada. Obtendrá los mejores resultados si el

vello está seco al afeitarlo.

• Estire las zonas sensibles de la piel al afeitar.

• No ejerza demasiada presión.

1. Coloque el cabezal cortador|1 en el aparato.

2. Conecte el aparato con el interruptor de encendido/

apagado|3.

3. Ilustración E: desplace el cabezal cortador|1 con el

accesorio|10/11 pegado a la piel y manteniendo

siempre el aparato en un ángulo de 45°. Mueva el

aparato lentamente y a contrapelo. Puede desplazar

el aparato en ambas direcciones (hacia delante o

hacia atrás).

4. Vuelva a pulsar el interruptor de encendido/apa-

gado|3 para volver a desconectar el aparato.

6.4 Afeitado

SUGERENCIAS:

• El aparato permite el uso tanto en seco como en húme-

do. Obtendrá los mejores resultados con el vello seco.

• Para el afeitado en húmedo, no utilice ningún tipo de

aditivos como espuma, jabón, gel o crema de afeitar.

Esto podría perjudicar el resultado y obstruir el cabe-

zal de afeitado|9.

• Estire las zonas sensibles de la piel al afeitar.

• En los primeros usos puede producirse un enrojeci-

miento pasajero o una irritación de la piel, debido a

que la piel tiene que acostumbrarse al afeitado. Esto

es normal y por lo general dura de 2 a 4 semanas.

1. Coloque el cabezal de afeitado|9 en el aparato.

2. Conecte el aparato con el interruptor de encendido/

apagado|3.

3. Mantenga el cabezal de afeitado|9 perpendicular a

la superficie cutánea y desplácelo sobre la piel sin

ejercer presión. Mueva el aparato lentamente y a

contrapelo. Puede desplazar el aparato en ambas

direcciones (hacia delante o hacia atrás).

4. Vuelva a pulsar el interruptor de encendido/apa-

gado|3 para volver a desconectar el aparato.

7. Limpieza y mantenimiento del

aparato

SUGERENCIA: para garantizar una buena capacidad

Limpieza del cabezal cortador

1. En caso necesario, desconecte el aparato con el inte-

rruptor de encendido/apagado|3.

2. Retire, en su caso, el accesorio|10/11 colocado.

3. Limpie el cabezal cortador|1 y los accesorios|10/11

con el cepillo de limpieza suministrado.

4. Enjuague el cabezal cortador|1 y los accesorios|10/

11 con agua clara del grifo.

5. Deje secar completamente todas las piezas antes de

volver a montarlas y guardarlas.

Lubricación del cabezal cortador

Lubrique el cabezal cortador|1...

8. Conservación

Riesgo para los niños y los bebés

~Coloque el aparato fuera del alcance de los niños.

• Retire la pila|12 del aparato cuando no lo vaya a utili-

9. Eliminación

12. Consejos de FCC

13.Garantía de HOYER Handel

¿Lo que cubre la presente garantía?

La garantía incluye:

- Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad para funcionar

debido a defectos.

- Daños que no se expliquen por el desgaste propio del

uso o al seguir las instrucciones de seguridad y man-

tención incluidas en el manual para el usuario.

¿Lo que no cubre esta garantía?

La garantía no cubre daños causados por:

- El desgaste propio del uso del producto, incluidas las

partes frágiles (como interruptores, piezas de vidrio,

etc.).

- Uso o transporte no indicado del producto.

- Desatención a las instrucciones de seguridad y man-

tención.

- Accidentes o causas de fuerza mayor (e.g. relámpa-

gos, incendio, inundación, etc.).

- Falsificación o alteración del producto (retirar la cu-

bierta, tornillos, etc.).

¿Período de cobertura y resolución de la

garantía?

La garantía es válida por 3 número de años a partir de la

fecha de compra. La empresa, según lo estime convenien-

te, devolverá el dinero o repondrá el producto.

La empresa no:

- Dará inicio a un nuevo período de garantía al hacerse

el cambio del producto.

- Realizará reparación del producto.

quier inquietud.

A fin de acelerar el trámite de la garantía, tenga a bien

contar con lo siguiente:

- Recibo de venta original que incluya la fecha de com-

pra.

- Producto y manual en su empaque original.

- Descripción del problema.

¿Qué debe hacer usted para mantener la

garantía vigente?

- Guardar el recibo original.

- Seguir todas las instrucciones para el uso del produc-

to.

- No realizar ninguna reparación ni alteración al pro-

ducto.

con esta garantía?

Se acatará cualquier ley estatal que contradiga o modifi-
