OneZone is an Airzone product.
Airzone has been leading the air conditioning zoning market for more than to 10 years. Airzone
researches, develops, produces and commercializes advanced zoning systems for air conditioning
designed to guarantee the comfort in any place of the homes, at any time.
How does OneZone work?
OneZone consists of a motorized damper and an infrared digital thermostat. This technology allows the damper and
thermostat of the selected room to communicate without the need of cables. The operation is very simple: the
thermostat analyzes the temperature of the room and, according to the programmed temperature, it opens the
damper to control the air flow to cold or heat the room. When the temperature reaches the set point temperature,
the damper is closed automatically.
Important: OneZone controls the damper by means of the thermostat but it does not control the operation of
the air conditioning unit. Because of that, the AC unit must be running to have air conditioning in the room.
Content of the box
The box contains:
- A OneZone damper
- A metallic clip to mount the control module to the damper
- A OneZone thermostat
- A Battery Box including the damper control module

Damper Installation
1.- Install the clip in the edge of the damper
2.- Slide the control module of control in
the clip
3.- Connect the damper motor cable in
the connector provided in the control
module
- 4. Verify that the damper communicates with the thermostat. Press the ON icon, be sure that the thermostat this
in cold mode and lower the temperature to 65F. The damper must open. If that does not happen, raise the
temperature to the maximum, wait for about 20 seconds and return to lower the temperature to 65F. If the damper
does not even move, please read the detailed manual at www.airzoneusa.com/onezone/manual.
- 5. Remove the grille of the air access to the room.
- 6. Verify that the damper enters in the end of the air supply duct. It is possible that the duct size is not compatible
with the size of the damper. If this is the case, please contact the supplier of your system.
7. –Insert the dámper in the air access duct.

Thermostat Installation
1.- Fix the base to the wall If screws are used, you will have to disassemble the thermostat from its base
before, as it is indicated below:
Detach the thermostat from the base using a coin
2.- Once fixed the base to the wall, if the thermostat had to be disassembled, reassemble to its base as
indicated below:
Insert the panel in the guides in the superior part of the base of the thermostat and close the thermostat
8.- Fix the IR receiver with the stick tape on the grid,
pointing towards the final position of the thermostat
9.- Replace the grille in its original position

• 3. – Verify the operation of the system. If the thermostat does not have indication of the temperature, power it on
by touching briefly the ON/OFF icon, Verify that the air equipment this running and set the temperature of the
thermostat to the minimum and maximum verifying that depending on the setting the air flows or not through the
grille. Then, set the temperature to the desired value.
Location of the thermostat
One of the most important issues for the correct operation of the system is the location of the thermostat.
The correct location is:
In an area with air circulation
Away from direct currents of cold or hot air
Away from sources of heat such as heaters or radiators.
Out of direct sun exposure.
Preferably not installed on exterior walls.
NOTE: Before affixing the thermostat in the wall, be sure that the thermostat can control the damper. To do that,
with the thermostat held in its location, repeat the procedure described in the installation section of the damper.
Only if the damper operates, then you can set the thermostat in that place.
OneZone thermostat capabilities
- Activate/Deactivate the zone temperature control (ON/OFF).
- Setting of the set point temperature (temperature wished in the zone).
- Automatic or manual operation.
- “Echo” Mode.
- Temperature schedule programming
- Setting of the zone operation mode (COLD, HEAT). * *
Note: This mode does not change the mode of the AC unit. It only affects the demand of temperature of the zone.
Selection of the temperature units
The OneZone thermostat allows the user to select the temperature units. The default is degrees Fahrenheit and the
user can change it to Celsius as follows:
1.- With the thermostat set to OFF, touch and hold
on the Airzone icon until the display shows all the
icons.
2.- The temperature appears on the screen. Touch
and hold on the Airzone icon, until the first setup
screen appears.

3.- Cycle with the arrow keys until the units setting
appears in the screen.
4.- Touch on the units display. These will begin to
flash
5,- Select the units type (°F or °C).
6.- Confirm the selection with a touch on the Airzone
icon
7.- To exit configuration mode, touch the ON / OFF.
The thermostat will be turned off.
OneZone operation modes
The operation mode establishes how the OneZone system is going to work, wheather in COLD or HEAT. The
operation mode will not modify the AC unit mode, but it must be the same, to be able to reach the comfort
temperature. The operation modes that can be selected are:
• COLD
In this operation mode, the system works as the cold mode of the AC unit. There will be demand
(the damper will remain open) whenever Tsetpoint < Tambient.
• HEAT
In this operation mode, the system works as the heat mode of the AC unit. There will be
demand (the damper will remain open) whenever Tsetpoint > Tambient
Thermostat Utilization
The thermostat can work in MANUAL or AUTOMATIC mode, following a time programming schedule.
MANUAL Operation.
The MANUAL operation is indicated by the icon: and allows to activate/ deactivate the air conditioning of the
zone where the thermostat is installed and to define the comfort set point temperature for this zone. The
activation/deactivation of the air conditioning is performed by pressing the icon ON/OFF.

The comfort temperature selection will be set with the selection arrows: and The temperatura range is
from 65 to 85°F in 1°F steps.
Additional functionalities of the OneZone thermostat
The OneZone thermostat has additional capacities that contribute to the energy efficiency and individual comfort,
like the functions ECHO and timed schedule programming. A detailed description of how to use these functions are

ECO Functionality Activation
The ECO function is activated and deactivateed by directly pressing on the ECO icon. .
When ECO mode is activated, the set point temperatura will be shifted by 1ºF every 30 minutes, with a maximum
shift of 4ºF. This shift, increases the set point temperature, if the operation mode is COLD, or decreases the set
point temperature, if the operation mode of the system is HEAT.
Time Scheduled Program Activation
The automatic mode operation is indicated with the icon:
The change between MANUAL and AUTOMATIC mode is made by touching the icons: or . Depending on
the active icon at a given time, it will appear the options at that time. When the one that is wished is selected, this
one will begin to blink.
The OneZone thermostat allows to set time scheduled programs (Start Time, end time and temperature set point in
that time slot), allowing up to 3 separate programs for each day of the week, group of days (weekdays and
weekends) and full week.

Batteries replacement
When the LOW BATTERY icon appears on the thermostat screen indicates that the thermostat batteries are at the
end of their life span, and must be replaced.

Thermostat battery replacement
To replace the batteries, insert a coin into the slot on the bottom of the thermostat and turn it 45 ° to separate the
thermostat from the base.
Once separated the touch screen, replace the batteries housed inside maintaining the same polarity (2 AAA
batteries 1.5V). Reassemble both parts to snap back to its original position.
1.- Separate the thermostat from the base with a coin

Replacement of the damper control module batteries
When the batteries are reaching the end of its useful life for the damper, a red LED, next to the infrared sensor will
begin to flash. When this happens, it is time to change the batteries..
You'll need to remove the grille as you did to install the damper and access control module box.
Remove the battery holder box from the damper.
1- Open the lid, separating the latches.
2.- Remove the batteries

3.-Insert the new batteries (C type)
4.- Replace the cover and adjust the latches

OneZone es un producto de Airzone.
Una empresa que lleva más de 10 años liderando el mercado de la climatización por zonas. Airzone investiga,
desarrolla, produce y comercializa avanzados sistemas de climatización destinados a garantizar el confort en los
hogares.
¿Cómo funciona OneZone?
OneZone consta de una compuerta motorizada y un termostato digital infrarrojo (IR). Esta tecnología permite la
climatización de la estancia elegida comunicando compuerta y termostato sin necesidad de cables.
El funcionamiento es muy sencillo: el termostato analiza la temperatura de la habitación y, según la temperatura
programada, abre la compuerta para dejar pasar aire frío o caliente. Cuando la temperatura alcanza la temperatura
de consigna, la compuerta se cierra automáticamente.
OneZone controla la compuerta mediante el termostato pero no el funcionamiento de la máquina de climatización.
Por lo que la máquina debe estar encendida para que haya climatización en la habitación
Importantes notas para el usuario:
La utilización de más de un OneZone en el mismo sistema de aire, podría provocar problemas e incluso averías en
la instalación. Es recomendable para estos casos, consultar con su instalador.
Además, a efectos de proteger a la unidad de aire acondicionado, si tuviese registros con control de flujo de aire,
asegúrese de que esos registros están totalmente abiertos. En el diseño de los sistemas de aire acondicionado, se
consideran todas las salidas de aire sin obstrucciones, y aunque siempre hay un margen para ajustar las salidas,
las restricciones estas deben ser limitadas.
Contenido de la caja
La caja contiene:
- Una compuerta OneZone
- Un clip metálico para montar el módulo de control de compuerta
- Un termostato Tacto OneZone
- Una Caja Porta pilas incluyendo el módulo de control de la compuerta

Instalación
Herramientas necesarias:
Destornillador
Instalación de la compuerta
1.- Instale el clip del porta-pilas en el borde de la compuerta
2.- Deslice el módulo de control en el clip
porta-pilas.
3.- Conecte la compuerta conectando el cable
del motor en el conector en el modulo de
control disponible para el motor
- 4.- Compruebe que la compuerta se comunica con el termostato. Pulse el icono de encendido, asegúrese
que el termostato esta en modo frío y baje la temperatura a 65F. La compuerta debe abrirse. Si eso no
ocurriera, suba la temperatura al máximo espere unos 20 segundos y vuelva a bajar la temperatura. Si aun
la compuerta no se mueve, por favor refiérase al manual detallado en
www.airzoneusa.com/products/onezone/manual.
- 5.- Retire la rejilla de acceso del aire a la habitación.
- 6.- Verifique que la compuerta entra en el hueco del suministro de aire. es posible que tenga un hueco de
compuerta no compatible con la misma. Contáctese con el proveedor de su sistema

Instalación del termostato
1.- Fije la base a la pared Si utiliza tornillos deberá antes desmontar el termostato de su base como se
indica más abajo:

2.- Una vez fijada la base a la pared, si ha tenido que desmontar el termostato de la misma, vuelva a
montarlo como se indica más abajo:
7. -Inserte la compuerta OneZone en el tubo de acceso de aire.

sobre la rejilla, orientando el receptor hacia la
posición final del termostato

Insertar el panel en las guías en la parte superior de la base del termostato y cerrar el termostato
3.- Verifique el funcionamiento del sistema. Si el termostato no tiene indicación de la temperatura,
encienda el termostato tocando brevemente el icono de encendido, verifique que el equipo de aire este
funcionando y ajuste la temperatura del termostato al máximo y mínimo verificando que dependiendo de
la misma, el aire fluye o no por la rejilla. Luego, ajuste la temperatura el valor deseado.
Ubicación del Termostato
Uno de los temas más relevantes para la correcta operación del sistema es la ubicación del termostato.
La correcta ubicación es:
En un área con circulación de aire
Alejado de Corrientes directas de aire frio o caliente
Alejado de Fuentes de calor, tales como calefactores o radiadores.
Fuera de la exposición directa del sol.
Preferentemente, no instalado sobre paredes exteriores.
Funciones del termostato OneZone
- ON/OFF de zona.
- Establecimiento de temperatura de consigna (temperatura deseada en la zona).
- Funcionamiento manual o automático.
- Modo “Eco”.
- Programación horaria de temperatura
- Establecimiento del modo de funcionamiento (FRÍO, CALOR). *
*Nota: Este modo no cambia el modo de la máquina, sólo afecta a la demanda de temperatura de la zona.
Selección de la unidad de temperatura
El termostato OneZone permite seleccionar las unidades de temperatura. La opción seleccionada de fábrica es
grados Fahrenheit y el usuario puede cambiarla a Celsius de la siguiente manera:
1.- Con el termostato en OFF, toque y mantenga en
el icono de Airzone hasta que la pantalla muestre
todos los iconos.
2.- Aparecerá la temperatura en la pantalla. Vuelva a
tocar y mantener el icono de Airzone, hasta que
aparezca la primera pantalla de configuración.

3.- Cicle con las flechas de selección hasta llegar a la
pantalla de Unidades.
4.- Haga un toque en las unidades. Estas comenzaran
a parpadear
5,- Seleccione con las flechas el tipo de Unidad (°F o °C).
6.- Toque el icono Airzone para confirmar
7.- Para salir del modo configuración, toque el icono
ON/OFF. El termostato se apagara.
Cambio del Modo de funcionamiento de OneZone
El modo de funcionamiento establece cómo va a funcionar el sistema, trabajando en FRÍO o CALOR. El modo de
funcionamiento no va a modificar el modo de la máquina, pero debe ser igual a éste para poder alcanzar la
temperatura de confort.
Los modos de funcionamiento que se pueden seleccionar son:
FRÍO
En este modo de funcionamiento el sistema trabaja como el modo frío de la máquina. Existirá
demanda (la compuerta permanecerá abierta) siempre que Tconsigna < Tambiente.
CALOR
En este modo de funcionamiento el sistema trabaja como el modo calor de la máquina. Existirá
demanda (la compuerta permanecerá abierta) siempre que Tconsigna > Tambiente.

Utilización del termostato
El termostato puede trabajar en modo MANUAL o en modo AUTOMÁTICO siguiendo una programación horaria.
Funcionamiento MANUAL
El funcionamiento MANUAL se indica mediante el icono: , y permite activar/desactivar la climatización de la
zona donde está instalado el termostato y definir la temperatura de consigna o confort de dicha zona.
La activación/desactivación de la climatización se realiza pulsando la tecla ON/OFF.
La selección de la temperatura de confort se realizará con las flechas de selección: y . El rango permitido
es de 65-85°F con pasos de 1°F.
Funcionalidades adicionales del termostato
El termostato OneZone tiene capacidades adicionales que contribuyen a la eficiencia energética y confort individual,
como las funciones ECO y programación temporal.

Activación de la Función ECO
La función ECO se selecciona y deselecciona pulsando directamente sobre la tecla ECO: , o pulsando sobre la
tecla Airzone: , y seguidamente sobre la de ECO: .
Con este modo de funcionamiento se produce una variación de la temperatura de consigna en 1ºF cada 30 minutos,
con una variación máxima de 4ºF. La variación aumenta la temperatura de consigna, si el modo de funcionamiento
del sistema es FRÍO, o disminuye la temperatura de consigna, si el modo de funcionamiento del sistema es CALOR.
Activación de la Programación Horaria
El modo de funcionamiento automático se indica con el icono: .
El cambio de modo entre MANUAL y AUTOMÁTICO se realiza pulsando en las teclas o . Dependiendo del
icono activo en ese momento, aparecerán las opciones disponibles. Cuando seleccione la que desee, ésta
comenzará a parpadear.
El termostato TACTO permite realizar programaciones horarias (hora inicio, hora final y temperatura de consigna en
esa franja horaria), teniendo hasta 3 programas independientes para cada día de la semana, grupo de días
(laborables y fin de semana) y semana completa.

Puesta en hora y Modificación de la hora
*Antes de realizar cualquier programación horaria, es necesario poner en hora el reloj del termostato.
1.- Para entrar en el modo de ajuste de hora, presione y mantenga sobre la visualización de la hora, hasta el día de la semana aparezca
en forma intermitente.
2.- Seleccione el día de la semana con las flechas
3.- Confirme la selección con un pulsación corta sobre el icono
Airzone
4.- Los dígitos de la hora comenzarán a
parpadear
5.- Seleccione la hora con las flechas. La
hora es en formato de 24 horas.
6.- Confirme la selección con un pulsación

Sustitución de Baterías
Cuando el icono de BATERÍA BAJA aparece en el termostato Tacto OneZone, batería baja en el termostato.

Sustitución de las baterías del termostato
Para sustituir las baterías, introducir una moneda en la ranura situada en la parte inferior del termostato y girarla
45º para que se separe el termostato de su soporte.
Una vez separada la pantalla táctil del soporte, sustituya las pilas alojadas en el interior respetando la polaridad de
las mismas (2 baterías AAA 1.5V). Vuelva a encajar ambas partes en su posición original.
1.- Separe el panel del termostato utilizando una moneda
2.- Retirar las baterías agotadas
3.-Insertar las nuevas baterías
4.- Insertar el panel en las guías en la parte superior de la base del termostato y cerrar el
termostato.
Sustitución de las baterías del módulo de control de la compuerta
Cuando las baterías de la compuerta estén llegando al fin de su vida útil, un led rojo ubicado en el sensor infrarrojo
de la compuerta comenzará a parpadear. Cuando esto suceda, es necesario de cambiar las baterías de la misma.
Para ello, deberá retirar la rejilla como lo ha hecho al instalar la compuerta, y acceder a la caja del módulo de
control.

Desmonte la caja porta-pilas de la compuerta.
2- Abra la tapa, separando las pestañas.

3.-Introduzca las pilas nuevas (tipo C)
4.- Vuelva a colocar la tapa y a ajustar las pestañas

Ahora es posible el control de la temperatura de cada habitación de manera independiente. Todas las personas que
vivan en la misma casa podrán disfrutar en su habitación de la temperatura que precisen en cada momento.

No tire nunca este equipo con los desechos domésticos. Los productos eléctricos y electrónicos contienen
sustancias que pueden ser dañinas para el medioambiente si no se les da el tratamiento adecuado. Para una
correcta gestión medioambiental, deberá ser tratado de acuerdo a las ordenanzas locales al respecto, al final de su
vida útil.
Las piezas que forman parte del mismo se pueden reciclar. Respete, por tanto, la reglamentación en vigor sobre
protección medioambiental. Debe entregarlo a su distribuidor si lo reemplaza por otro, o depositarlo en un centro
de recogida especializado.
