YOUR WIDEX SOUND ASSIST DEVICE
Welcome
Thank you for choosing this product to further enrich your audio experi-
ence.
Before you start using this device, please read these instructions carefully
to learn about features and functionalities.
NOTE
Your device may not look exactly as illustrated. We reserve the right to make
any changes considered necessary.
Intended use
The device is intended to transmit audio from the built-in microphones
to supported hearing aids to improve speech understanding in noisy
situations.
The device can also receive audio from multiple sources (analog and
digital) and transmit the audio wirelessly to the supported hearing aids.
Further, the device can be used as a remote control to adjust the suppor-
ted hearing aids to dierent listening situations.

Warnings
Strangulation hazard when neck loop or charging cable gets entangled
in moving mechanical parts of machines for example.
- Use only the delivered breakaway neck loop. It will automatically
detach when entangled.
- Do not use neck loop or charging cable for children under the age of
twelve.
Your device should be stored and transported within the temperature of
-20 °C to +55 °C (-4 °F to 131 °F) and humidity ranges of 10-95 % RH.
Your device is designed to operate at temperatures during charging of
+0 °C to +40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F) and during use at temperatures of
-10 °C to +40 °C (14 °F to 104 °F), at humidity ranges of 10-95 % and
under atmospheric pressures of 750-1060 mBar.
Risk of injury or electrical shock caused by damaged devices. Do not
use obviously damaged devices and return them to point of sale.
Never dry your devices in the micro-wave or oven.
Keep the device protected from dust or external particles.
We recommend using a 5 V up to 500 mA micro USB adaptor.
Do not leave the device unattended while charging.

Do not dispose of this device into fire or a hot oven and do not crush or
cut the device, as this can result in an explosion.
Do not use or wear the device in mines or other areas with explosive
gases, including while refuelling a vehicle.
Do not leave the device in an extremely high temperature surrounding
environment, as this can result in an explosion or the leakage of
flammable liquid or gas.
Do not subject the device to extremely low air pressure, as this can
result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
When the device is connected via micro USB cable to external mains-
operated equipment such as a charger, PC, audio source or similar, this
equipment must comply with IEC 60950-1, IEC 62368-1, IEC 60601-1 or
equivalent safety standards.
Only the accessories and cable that are included in the sales box must
be used. Using cables other than those specified or provided may result
in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic
immunity of this equipment and result in improper operation.

USING SOUND ASSIST
All instructions are supported by illustrations found in the folded front and
back covers.
Pairing the device
Sound Assist must be paired to your hearing aids before you pair with
other devices.
Pairing to your hearing aids:
1. Make sure that Sound Assist is turned o.
2. Restart your hearing aids. The hearing aids will then be in pairing
mode for 3 minutes.
3. Press the volume up button (+) and the power/mode button (1.6)
simultaneously for 3 seconds until the in-use light indicators (1.5) are
glowing blue.
4. Make sure that the Sound Assist and your hearing aids are within 1 m
range of each other.
5. The pairing sequence will start automatically.
6. The in-use light indicators (1.5) will light green, when the pairing is
successfully completed.
After pairing the Sound Assist will start in Mic mode. The Sound Assist can
only be paired to one set of hearing aids. To pair a new set of hearing aids,
you must perform the same steps and the new pairing will overwrite the
existing one.

Pairing to your smartphone or other device:
1. Turn o your Sound Assist.
2. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone/device.
3. Press the volume up button (+) and the power/mode button (1.6)
simultaneously for 3 seconds until the in-use light indicators (1.5) are
glowing blue.
4. Make sure that Sound Assist and your phone/device are within 1 metre
range of each other.
5. Go to the Bluetooth menu on your smartphone/device and pair by
selecting Sound Assist from the list of available devices.
6. The in-use light indicators (1.5) will briefly flash white, when the
pairing is successfully completed.
After pairing the Sound Assist will start in Bluetooth mode. Sound Assist
can be paired with up to 8 Bluetooth devices and actively connected to 1
Bluetooth device.
To reset hearing aid and phone/device pairings:
1. Turn o your Sound Assist.
2. Press the volume down button (-) and the power/mode button (1.6)
simultaneously for 5 seconds.
3. When the pairing list is resetting, the in-use indicators (1.5) will start
flashing yellow.
4. When the reset is completed, the Sound Assist will turn o.

Turning Sound Assist on and o
To turn on and o, press and hold the power/mode button (1.6) for 2
seconds.
Changing the operating mode
The Sound Assist has three operating modes: Remote Microphone, Blue-
tooth and Telecoil. The current operating mode is shown by the three
mode light indicators (1.8).
When the device is turned on, press the power/mode button (1.6) briefly
to toggle between the device modes.

Adjusting stream volume
Turn the volume of streamed sound up (+) and down (-) by briefly
pressing one of the two volume buttons (1.1). Adjusting streamed volume
can be done in all three modes, when streaming sound via Bluetooth,
Telecoil and Remote Microphone.
Room o, i.e. is the possibility of shutting out surrounding sounds in the
room by muting the hearing aid microphones while streaming audio from
your device. The function is activated by a long press on the volume down
button (-) and deactivated by a long press on the volume up button (+).
Button lock
The buttons on the device can be locked to prevent them from being
unintentionally activated. Press volume up (+) and program button (1.2)
simultaneously to lock and unlock the buttons.
The in-use light indicators (1.5) flash white twice to indicate that the
buttons have been locked or unlocked.
Wearing the Sound Assist
Sound Assist can be carried by use of the integrated metal clip (1.10).
It can be attached directly on to the garment or on the neck loop (2.2)
(illustration 4).

Remote microphone features
Partner microphone (illustration 5): When a single speaker is wearing the
Sound Assist, the device automatically streams the voice of the conversa-
tion partner to the hearing aid.
Tabletop microphone (illustration 6): For a setting with multiple speak-
ers, Sound Assist can be used as a tabletop microphone. When placing
the device on a flat surface, e.g. on the table at a dinner party, it will
automatically stream the voices to the hearing aid.
If you want to focus on a single speaker, it is possible to lock the listening
direction and manually point at the speaker you want to listen to. To lock
the listening direction, press and hold the push-button (1.4) until the top
in-use light indicator is solid green. The direction will be locked regardless
of device orientation. Press and hold the push-button again to unlock the
listening direction.
Muting the microphones
In all remote microphone scenarios, the microphones can be muted and
unmuted by briefly pressing the push-button (1.4).
Bluetooth streaming features
In Bluetooth mode, the Sound Assist can be used for handsfree phone
calls and audio streaming from a connected Bluetooth device to your
hearing aid (illustration 3).

Handsfree phone calls
The Sound Assist will allow you to accept, decline and end phone calls and
the built-in microphones (1.3) will pick up your voice during a call.
Incoming calls
Answer Press push-button (1.4) briefly and speak into Sound As-
sist's microphone (1.3).
End Press push-button (1.4) briefly.
Reject Press and hold push-button (1.4) for 2 seconds.
Outgoing calls
Call up Start the call on the connected phone or make a request
via the phone's voice assistant. Once connected, speak
into Sound Assist's microphone.
How to activate the Voice Assistant
In Bluetooth mode, you can activate the Voice Assistant on a connected
device, except for when you are in an active phone call.
Sound Assist must be connected to a Bluetooth device with a Voice
Assistant enabled to activate the Voice Assistant support.
Press and hold the push-button (1.4) for 2 seconds, and make your voice
command.

Audio streaming
You can use Sound Assist to stream audio from any Bluetooth source to
your hearing aid. Simply activate streaming on your connected device.
Play/pause Press the push-button (1.4) briefly
Next track Press the push-button (1.4) twice
Previous track Press the push-button (1.4) three times
NOTE
Handsfree phone calls and audio streaming from connected Bluetooth sources
is only possible in Bluetooth mode.
Telecoil streaming
When Sound Assist is in Telecoil mode, it will stream sound from any
Telecoil nearby. This means that users of hearing aids without Telecoil can
connect to Telecoil systems.
When streaming Telecoil audio it is important that the device is oriented
with the power/mode button (1.6) pointing upwards. Wearing the Sound
Assist by the neck loop is advised.
To suspend the stream, press the push-button (1.4) briefly. Press again to
resume the stream.

Remote control features
When not used for streaming, Sound Assist can be used as a remote
control for your hearing aids, if you want to change program or adjust
volume. To use your Sound Assist for this, first select Bluetooth mode.
Changing program
Press the program button (1.2) briefly to change program on your hearing
aid.
If your hearing aid is programmed with the special Zen+ program, you
access this by a long press on the program button (1.2). Short presses
on the program button will then allow you to choose from among any
available Zen styles.
You return to the standard listening programs with a long press of the
program button.
Adjusting the sound
For adjusting the volume, press the volume up button (+) briefly to raise
the volume, and press the volume down button (-) briefly to lower the
volume.
Charging
Connect the micro USB cable (2.1) to your Sound Assist and the power
supply. We recommend that you use the micro USB cable included.
It takes approximately 3 hours to charge your device, and the first 30-60
minutes of charging will give a significant boost in battery life.

NOTE
The device is usable during charging.
The app
Download the MOMENT app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store
and use this for notifications to upgrade the firmware. Control the settings
such as volume and program selection on the hearing aids.
Simply follow the instructions in the app.

MAINTENANCE
●Clean your device using a soft, dry cloth, or vacuum clean it with a soft
nozzle.
●Do not use any liquids or chemicals and do not immerse in liquids.
●When the device is not in use keep it in a dry location out of reach of
children and pets.
●Never try to open or repair the device yourself. This may only be done
by authorised technicians.
Never use sharp/pointy objects to clean the device.

Antes de empezar a utilizar el dispositivo, lea atentamente estas instruc-
ciones para informarse sobre las funciones y características.
NOTA
Es posible que su dispositivo no sea exactamente como las imágenes. Nos
reservamos el derecho de hacer los cambios que consideremos necesarios.
Uso previsto
El dispositivo se ha diseñado para transmitir audio desde los micrófonos
incorporados hasta los audífonos aceptados a fin de mejorar la compren-
sión del habla en situaciones ruidosas.
El dispositivo también puede recibir audio de múltiples fuentes (analógi-
cas y digitales) y transmitirlo de manera inalámbrica a los audífonos
aceptados. Además, se puede usar como control remoto para ajustar los
audífonos aceptados a diferentes situaciones de escucha.

Advertencias
Peligro de estrangulamiento cuando el cordón inductivo o el cable de

USO DE SOUND ASSIST
Todas las instrucciones van acompañadas de imágenes facilitadas en la
portada y en la contraportada plegables.
Emparejamiento del dispositivo
Es necesario emparejar Sound Assist a los audífonos antes de realizar un
emparejamiento con otros dispositivos.
Emparejamiento con los audífonos:
1. Compruebe que Sound Assist está encendido.
2. Reinicie los audífonos. Los audífonos permanecerán tres minutos en
modo de emparejamiento.
3. Pulse al mismo tiempo durante tres segundos el botón para subir
el volumen (+) y el botón de modo/encendido (1.6), hasta que los
indicadores luminosos de uso (1.5) muestren una luz azul.
4. Asegúrese de que el Sound Assist y los audífonos se encuentran a
menos de un metro de distancia entre sí.
5. La secuencia de emparejamiento se iniciará automáticamente.
6. Los indicadores luminosos de uso (1.5) mostrarán una luz verde cuan-
do el emparejamiento se haya completado correctamente.
Tras el emparejamiento, Sound Assist se iniciará en modo Mic. El Sound
Assist solo puede estar emparejado con un juego de audífonos. Para
emparejar otro juego de audífonos, realice los mismos pasos y el nuevo
emparejamiento pasará a sustituir el anterior.

Emparejamiento con un smartphone u otro dispositivo:
1. Apague el Sound Assist.
2. Active Bluetooth en su smartphone/dispositivo.
3. Pulse al mismo tiempo durante tres segundos el botón para subir
el volumen (+) y el botón de modo/encendido (1.6), hasta que los
indicadores luminosos de uso (1.5) muestren una luz azul.
4. Asegúrese de que Sound Assist y el teléfono/dispositivo se encuen-
tran a menos de un metro de distancia entre sí.

Una vez realizado el emparejamiento, Sound Assist se iniciará en modo

vos Bluetooth y conectado de forma activa a un dispositivo Bluetooth.
Para restablecer los emparejamientos de audífono y teléfono/dispositi-
vo:
1. Apague el Sound Assist.
2. Pulse al mismo tiempo durante cinco segundos el botón para bajar el
volumen (-) y el botón de modo/encendido (1.6).
3. Mientras se restablece la lista de emparejamientos, los indicadores de
uso (1.5) empiezan a parpadear en amarillo.
4. Cuando el restablecimiento se haya completado, el Sound Assist se
apagará.

Cambio del modo de funcionamiento
El Sound Assist tiene tres modos de funcionamiento: micrófono remoto,
Bluetooth y bobina telefónica (posición T). Los tres indicadores luminosos
de modo (1.8) señalan el modo de funcionamiento de uso.
Con el dispositivo encendido, pulse brevemente el botón de modo/encen-
dido (1.6) para pasar de un modo a otro.

Ajuste del volumen de transmisión
Suba (+) y baje (-) el volumen del sonido transmitido pulsando breve-
mente uno de los dos botones de volumen (1.1). El volumen transmitido
se puede ajustar en los tres modos, al transmitir sonido por Bluetooth,
bobina telefónica y micrófono remoto.
Desconexión acústica, es decir, la posibilidad de aislar los sonidos del
entorno en la habitación al silenciar los micrófonos del audífono durante
la transmisión de audio desde su dispositivo. La función se activa con una
pulsación larga en el botón para bajar el volumen (-) y se desactiva con
una pulsación larga en el botón para subirlo (+).
Bloqueo de botones
Es posible bloquear los botones del dispositivo para evitar activarlos sin
querer. Para bloquear o desbloquear los botones, pulse al mismo tiempo
el botón para subir el volumen (+) y el botón de programa (1.2).
Los indicadores luminosos de uso (1.5) parpadean dos veces en blanco
para señalar que se han bloqueado o desbloqueado los botones.
Cómo llevar el Sound Assist
Sound Assist se puede llevar usando la pinza metálica integrada (1.10).
Se puede sujetar directamente a la ropa o al cordón inductivo (2.2)
(imagen 4).

Funciones del micrófono remoto
Micrófono asociado (imagen 5): Cuando una única persona lleva el Sound
Assist, el dispositivo transmite automáticamente al audífono la voz del
interlocutor.
Micrófono de sobremesa (imagen 6): En una situación con varios interlo-
cutores, se puede usar Sound Assist como un micrófono de sobremesa. Al
colocar el dispositivo en una superficie lisa, como encima de la mesa en
una cena de grupo, transmitirá automáticamente las voces al audífono.
Si quiere centrar la atención en un único interlocutor, puede bloquear
la dirección de escucha y señalar manualmente hacia el interlocutor que
desea escuchar. Para bloquear la dirección de escucha, mantenga pulsado
el botón pulsador (1.4) hasta que el indicador luminoso de uso en la
parte superior muestre una luz verde fija. Se bloqueará la dirección, inde-
pendientemente de la orientación del dispositivo. Presione y mantenga
pulsado otra vez el botón pulsador para desbloquear la dirección de
escucha.
Silenciar los micrófonos
En todos los escenarios con micrófonos remotos, se puede pulsar breve-
mente el botón pulsador (1.4) para silenciar y desactivar el silencio de los
micrófonos.
Características de la transmisión por Bluetooth
En el modo Bluetooth, se puede usar el Sound Assist para llamadas
telefónicas manos libres y la transmisión de audio a su audífono desde un
dispositivo Bluetooth conectado (imagen 3).

Con el Sound Assist puede aceptar, rechazar y terminar llamadas telefó-
nicas, y los micrófonos incorporados (1.3) captarán su voz durante la
llamada.

un dispositivo Bluetooth con un asistente de voz habilitado.

Transmisión por bobina telefónica (posición T)
Cuando Sound Assist está en el modo de bobina telefónica, transmitirá el
sonido desde cualquier bobina telefónica cercana. Es decir, los usuarios de
audífonos sin bobina telefónica pueden conectarse a sistemas de bobina
telefónica.
Al transmitir audio por bobina telefónica, es importante que el dispositivo
esté colocado con el botón de modo/encendido (1.6) hacia arriba. Se
recomienda llevar el Sound Assist en el cordón inductivo.
Para suspender la transmisión, pulse brevemente el botón pulsador (1.4).
Vuelva a pulsarlo para reanudar la transmisión.
Características del control remoto
Cuando no se esté utilizando para hacer transmisiones, Sound Assist
puede usarse como un control remoto de los audífonos, si quiere cambiar
de programa o ajustar el volumen. Si quiere usar Sound Assist para esto,
primero seleccione el modo Bluetooth.
Cambio de programa
Pulse brevemente el botón de programa (1.2) para cambiar el programa
del audífono.
Si su audífono está programado con el programa Zen+ especial, para
acceder a él haga una pulsación larga en el botón de programa (1.2). Con
unas pulsaciones cortas en el botón de programa podrá elegir entre los
distintos estilos Zen disponibles.

larga en el botón de programa.
Ajuste del sonido
Para ajustar el volumen, pulse brevemente los botones de volumen: (+)
para subirlo o (-) para bajarlo.
Carga
Conecte el cable micro USB (2.1) a su Sound Assist y a la fuente de
alimentación. Le recomendamos usar el cable micro USB incluido.
El dispositivo tarda aproximadamente tres horas en cargarse. Los primeros
30-60 minutos de carga aumentan significativamente la duración de la
batería.
NOTA
Es posible usar el dispositivo durante la carga.

Usage auquel ce dispositif est destiné
Ce dispositif a pour but de transmettre le son des microphones intégrés
aux aides auditives prises en charge pour améliorer la compréhension de
la parole en environnement bruyant.
Ce dispositif peut également recevoir des signaux sonores de plusieurs
sources (analogiques et numériques) et transmettre le son sans fil aux
aides auditives prises en charge. En outre, ce dispositif peut être utilisé
telle une télécommande pour régler les aides auditives prises en charge en
fonction des diérents environnements d’écoute.

UTILISATION SOUND ASSIST
Toutes les instructions sont appuyées par des illustrations disponibles sur
les couvertures pliées avant et arrière.
Appairage du dispositif
Sound Assist doit être appairé avec vos aides auditives avant d’être
appairé avec d’autres dispositifs.
Appairage avec vos aides auditives :
1. Assurez-vous que Sound Assist est éteint.
2. Redémarrez vos aides auditives. Les aides auditives resteront alors en
mode d’appairage pendant 3 minutes.
3. Appuyez simultanément sur le bouton pour augmenter le volume (+)
et sur le bouton Alimentation/Mode (1.6) pendant 3 secondes jusqu’à
ce que les voyants d’utilisation (1.5) soient bleus.
4. Assurez-vous que le Sound Assist et vos aides auditives ne sont pas
éloignés de plus d’un mètre l’un de l’autre.
5. La séquence d’appairage démarre automatiquement.
6. Les voyants d’utilisation (1.5) s’allument en vert lorsque l’appairage est
terminé.
Après l’appairage, le Sound Assist s’allume en mode microphone. Le
Sound Assist peut uniquement être appairé avec une paire d’aides au-
ditives. Pour appairer une nouvelle paire d’aides auditives, vous devez
eectuer les mêmes étapes et le nouvel appairage écrasera l’appairage
existant.

Appairage avec votre smartphone ou un autre dispositif :
1. Éteignez votre Sound Assist.
2. Activez le Bluetooth sur votre smartphone/dispositif.
3. Appuyez simultanément sur le bouton pour augmenter le volume (+)
et sur le bouton Alimentation/Mode (1.6) pendant 3 secondes jusqu’à
ce que les voyants d’utilisation (1.5) soient bleus.
4. Assurez-vous que Sound Assist et votre téléphone/dispositif ne sont
pas éloignés de plus d’un mètre l’un de l’autre.
5. Allez dans le menu Bluetooth de votre smartphone/dispositif et pro-
cédez à l’appairage en sélectionnant Sound Assist dans la liste des
dispositifs disponibles.
6. Les voyants d’utilisation (1.5) clignotent brièvement d’une lumière
blanche lorsque l’appairage est terminé.
À l’issue de l’appairage, le Sound Assist s’allume en mode Bluetooth.
Sound Assist peut être appairé avec un maximum de 8 appareils Bluetooth
et il peut être connecté activement avec 1 seul appareil Bluetooth à la fois.
Pour réinitialiser les appairages d’une aide auditive et d’un télépho-
ne/dispositif:
1. Éteignez votre Sound Assist.
2. Appuyez simultanément sur le bouton pour baisser le volume (-) et le
bouton Alimentation/Mode (1.6) pendant 5 secondes.
3. Lorsque la liste d’appairage est réinitialisée, les voyants d’utilisation
(1.5) commenceront à clignoter d’une lumière jaune.

Le Sound Assist dispose de trois modes de fonctionnement : Microphone à

Lorsque le dispositif est allumé, appuyez brièvement sur le bouton Ali-
mentation/Mode (1.6) pour passer d’un mode à l’autre du dispositif.

Réglage du volume en streaming
Augmentez (+) et baissez (-) le volume du son transmis en appuyant
brièvement sur un des deux boutons de volume (1.1). Il est possible de
régler le volume du son diusé dans les trois modes : Bluetooth, bobine
téléphonique et microphone à distance.
Coupure des microphones, c’est-à-dire la possibilité d’exclure les sons
environnants dans la pièce en mettant les microphones de l’aide auditive
en veille pendant la transmission du son de votre dispositif. Cette fonction
est activée en appuyant longuement sur le bouton pour baisser le volume
(-) et désactivée en appuyant longuement sur le bouton pour augmenter
le volume (+).
Verrouillage des boutons
Les boutons du dispositif peuvent être verrouillés pour éviter qu’ils ne
soient activés par mégarde. Appuyez simultanément sur le bouton pour
augmenter le volume (+) et sur le bouton de sélection des programmes
(1.2) pour verrouiller et déverrouiller les boutons.

Sound Assist peut être porté en utilisant la pince en métal intégrée (1.10).
Elle peut être fixée directement sur un vêtement ou sur le tour de cou
(2.2) (illustration 4).

Fonctionnalités Microphone à distance
Microphone partenaire (illustration 5) : Lorsqu’un locuteur seul porte
le Sound Assist, le dispositif transmet automatiquement la voix du parte-
naire de la conversation à l’aide auditive.
Microphone de table (illustration 6) : Pour une configuration avec plu-
sieurs locuteurs, Sound Assist peut être utilisé tel un microphone de table.
Lors du positionnement du dispositif sur une surface plane, par exemple
une table lors d’un dîner festif, il transmettra automatiquement les voix à
l’aide auditive.
Si vous voulez vous focaliser sur un locuteur en particulier, il est possible
de verrouiller la direction d’écoute et de l’orienter manuellement vers le
locuteur que vous voulez écouter. Pour verrouiller la direction d’écoute,
appuyez sur le bouton-poussoir (1.4) et maintenez-le enfoncé jusqu’à
ce que le voyant d’utilisation supérieur soit vert constant. La direction
sera verrouillée quelle que soit l’orientation du dispositif. Appuyez sur le
bouton-poussoir et maintenez-le enfoncé pour déverrouiller la direction
d’écoute.
Couper le son des microphones
Dans tous les scénarios de microphones à distance, les microphones
peuvent être coupés et réactivés en appuyant brièvement sur le bouton-
poussoir (1.4).

Fonctionnalités Streaming via Bluetooth
En mode Bluetooth, le Sound Assist peut être utilisé pour passer des
appels téléphoniques mains libres et transmettre le son d’un dispositif
Bluetooth connecté à votre aide auditive (illustration 3).

Le Sound Assist permettra d’accepter, refuser et terminer des appels télé-
phoniques et les microphones intégrés (1.3) capteront votre voix durant un
appel.

Appeler Démarrez l’appel sur le téléphone connecté ou faites une
demande via l’assistant vocal du téléphone. Une fois con-
necté, parlez dans le microphone du Sound Assist.

Comment activer l’assistant vocal ?
En mode Bluetooth, vous pouvez activer l’assistant vocal d’un dispositif
connecté, sauf lorsqu’un appel téléphonique est actif.
Sound Assist doit être connecté à un dispositif Bluetooth avec un assistant
vocal activé pour activer la prise en charge par l’assistant vocal.
Appuyez sur le bouton-poussoir (1.4) et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant 2
secondes, puis formulez votre commande vocale.
Streaming audio
Vous pouvez l’utiliser Sound Assist pour transmettre le son de n’importe
quelle source Bluetooth à votre aide auditive. Activez simplement le
streaming sur votre dispositif connecté.
Lecture/pause Appuyez brièvement sur le bouton-poussoir (1.4).

Streaming avec bobine téléphonique
Lorsque Sound Assist est en mode Bobine téléphonique, il transmettra
le son de toute bobine téléphonique à proximité. Cela signifie que les
utilisateurs des aides auditives sans Bobine téléphonique peuvent se
connecter aux systèmes avec Bobine téléphonique.
Lors de la transmission d’un son via une Bobine téléphonique, il est
important que le dispositif soit orienté de sorte que le bouton Alimenta-
tion/Mode (1.6) pointe vers le haut. Il est conseillé de porter le Sound
Assist en utilisant le tour de cou.
Pour interrompre la transmission, appuyez brièvement sur le bouton-
poussoir (1.4). Appuyez de nouveau pour reprendre la transmission.
Fonctionnalités Télécommande
Lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé pour le streaming, Sound Assist peut être utilisé
comme télécommande pour vos aides auditives, si vous voulez changer
de programme ou ajuster le volume. Pour utiliser votre Sound Assist de la
sorte, sélectionnez d’abord le mode Bluetooth.
Changement de programme
Appuyez brièvement sur le bouton de sélection des programmes (1.2)
pour changer le programme de votre aide auditive.

Si votre aide auditive est programmée avec le programme Zen+ spécial,
vous pouvez y accéder en appuyant longuement sur le bouton de sélec-
tion des programmes (1.2). De brèves pressions sur le bouton de sélection
des programmes vous permettront ensuite de choisir parmi n’importe
quel style Zen disponible.
Pour retourner aux programmes d’écoute standard, appuyez longuement
sur le bouton de sélection des programmes.
Réglage du son
Pour régler le volume, appuyez brièvement sur le bouton (+) pour aug-
menter le volume et appuyez brièvement sur le bouton (-) pour baisser le
volume.

Chargement
Connectez le câble micro USB (2.1) à votre Sound Assist et à l’alimentation
électrique. Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser le câble micro USB inclus.
Comptez environ 3 heures pour recharger votre dispositif. Les premières
30-60 minutes de recharge boostent considérablement la durée de vie de
la batterie.
REMARQUE
Le dispositif peut être utilisé pendant le chargement.
L’application
Téléchargez l’application MOMENT dans l’App Store d’Apple ou dans Play
Store de Google et utilisez-la pour les notifications de mise à jour du
firmware. Contrôlez les paramètres tels que le volume et la sélection des
programmes sur les aides auditives.
Suivez simplement les instructions de l’application.

Prima di iniziare a usare questo dispositivo, legga attentamente queste
istruzioni per conoscerne le caratteristiche e le funzionalità.
NOTA
Il Suo dispositivo potrebbe non apparire esattamente come illustrato. Ci riser-
viamo, inoltre, il diritto di apportare eventuali modifiche ritenute necessarie.
Uso previsto
Il dispositivo è destinato a trasmettere l'audio dai microfoni incorporati
agli apparecchi acustici supportati, per migliorare la comprensione del
parlato in situazioni rumorose.
Il dispositivo può anche ricevere l'audio da più sorgenti (analogiche e
digitali) e trasmettere l'audio in modalità wireless agli apparecchi acustici
supportati. Inoltre, il dispositivo può essere utilizzato come telecomando
per adattare gli apparecchi acustici supportati alle diverse situazioni di
ascolto.

Avvertenze
Pericolo di strangolamento quando ad esempio il cavetto per il collo o
il cavo di ricarica si impigliano in parti meccaniche in movimento delle
macchine.
- Utilizzare solo il cavetto per il collo staccabile fornito in dotazione. Si
stacca automaticamente quando si impiglia.
- Non utilizzare il cavetto per il collo o il cavo di ricarica per bambini di
età inferiore ai dodici anni.
Il dispositivo deve essere conservato e trasportato rispettando le condi-
zioni di temperatura ed umidità comprese fra -20 °C e +55 °C (-4 °F e
131 °F) e fra 10-95 e 90% di UR.
Il dispositivo è progettato per funzionare a temperature, durante la
ricarica, comprese tra +0 °C e +40 °C (32 °F e 104 °F) e durante l'uso a

UTILIZZO DI SOUND ASSIST
Tutte le istruzioni sono corredate di illustrazioni riportate sulla prima e
quarta pagina di copertina.
Accoppiamento del dispositivo
Sound Assist deve essere accoppiato agli apparecchi acustici prima di
poterlo accoppiare ad altri dispositivi.
Accoppiamento agli apparecchi acustici:
1. Assicurarsi che il Sound Assist sia spento.
2. Riavviare gli apparecchi acustici. Gli apparecchi acustici saranno in
modalità di accoppiamento per 3 minuti.
3. Premere contemporaneamente il pulsante di aumento del volume (+)
e il pulsante di accensione/modalità (1.6) per 3 secondi finché le spie
dispositivo in attività (1.5) non si illuminano di blu.
4. Assicurarsi che il Sound Assist e gli apparecchi acustici siano entro 1
metro di distanza l'uno dall'altro.
5. La sequenza di accoppiamento sarà avviata in automatico.
6. Le spie del dispositivo in attività (1.5) si accenderanno in verde quando
l'accoppiamento sarà completato.
Una volta accoppiato, il Sound Assist si avvierà in modalità microfono. Il
Sound Assist può essere accoppiato con un solo set di apparecchi acustici.
Per accoppiare un nuovo set di apparecchi acustici, è necessario eseguire
gli stessi passaggi e il nuovo accoppiamento sovrascriverà quello esistente.

Accoppiamento allo smartphone o altro dispositivo:
1. Spegnere il Sound Assist.
2. Attivare Bluetooth sullo smartphone/sul dispositivo.
3. Premere contemporaneamente il pulsante di aumento del volume (+)
e il pulsante di accensione/modalità (1.6) per 3 secondi finché le spie
dispositivo in attività (1.5) non si illuminano di blu.
4. Assicurarsi che Sound Assist e il telefono/il dispositivo siano entro 1
metro di distanza l'uno dall'altro.
5. Andare al menu Bluetooth sullo smartphone/sul dispositivo e accop-
piare selezionando Sound Assist dall’elenco di dispositivi disponibili.
6. Le spie del dispositivo in attività (1.5) lampeggeranno brevemente in
bianco quando l'accoppiamento sarà completato.
Una volta accoppiato, il Sound Assist si avvierà in modalità Bluetooth.
Sound Assist può essere accoppiato con un massimo di 8 dispositivi
Bluetooth e collegato attivamente a 1 dispositivo Bluetooth.
Per resettare gli accoppiamenti tra apparecchio acustico e telefono/di-
spositivo:
1. Spegnere il Sound Assist.
2. Premere contemporaneamente il pulsante di riduzione del volume (-)
e il pulsante di accensione/modalità (1.6) per 5 secondi.
3. Mentre l'elenco degli accoppiamenti è in corso di ripristino, le spie del
dispositivo in attività (1.5) inizieranno a lampeggiare in giallo.
4. Completato il ripristino, il Sound Assist si spegnerà.

Accensione e spegnimento del Sound Assist
Per accendere e spegnere il dispositivo, tenere premuto il pulsante di
accensione/modalità (1.6) per 2 secondi.
Modifica della modalità operativa
Il Sound Assist dispone di tre modalità operative: Microfono remoto,
Bluetooth e Bobina telefonica. La modalità operativa corrente è indicata
dalle tre spie delle modalità (1.8).
Quando il dispositivo è acceso, premere brevemente il pulsante di accen-
sione/modalità (1.6) per passare da una modalità all'altra.

Regolazione del volume dello streaming
Alzare (+) e abbassare (-) il volume dell'audio in streaming premendo bre-
vemente uno dei due pulsanti del volume (1.1). La regolazione del volume
audio in streaming può essere eettuata in tutte e tre le modalità, quando
lo streaming avviene tramite Bluetooth, Bobina telefonica e Microfono
remoto.
Spegni stanza, ossia la possibilità di escludere i suoni circostanti nella
stanza disattivando i microfoni dell'apparecchio acustico durante lo strea-
ming dell'audio dal dispositivo. La funzione viene attivata premendo a
lungo il pulsante di riduzione del volume (-) e si disattiva premendo a
lungo il pulsante di aumento del volume (+).
Blocco dei pulsanti
I pulsanti del dispositivo possono essere bloccati per evitare che venga-
no attivati involontariamente. Premere contemporaneamente il tasto di
aumento del volume (+) e il pulsante programmi (1.2) per bloccare e
sbloccare i pulsanti.
Le spie del dispositivo in attività (1.5) lampeggiano due volte in bianco per
indicare che i pulsanti sono stati bloccati o sbloccati.
Indossare il Sound Assist
Il Sound Assist può essere portato con la clip metallica integrata (1.10). Può
essere fissato direttamente all'indumento o al cavetto per il collo (2.2).
(illustrazione 4).

Funzioni del microfono remoto
Microfono partner (illustrazione 5): Quando un singolo interlocutore in-
dossa il Sound Assist, il dispositivo trasmette automaticamente la voce
dell'interlocutore all'apparecchio acustico.
Microfono da tavolo (illustrazione 6): In un ambiente con più interlocuto-
ri, il Sound Assist può essere utilizzato come microfono da tavolo. Quando
si posiziona il dispositivo su una superficie piana, ad es. sul tavolo durante
una cena, il dispositivo trasmetterà automaticamente le voci all'apparec-
chio acustico.
Se si desidera porre l'enfasi su un singolo interlocutore, è possibile blocca-
re la direzione di ascolto e indicare manualmente l'interlocutore che si
desidera ascoltare. Per bloccare la direzione di ascolto, tenere premuto il
pulsante (1.4) fino a quando la spia del dispositivo in attività posta in alto
è verde fissa. La direzione sarà bloccata indipendentemente dall'orienta-
mento del dispositivo. Premere e tenere nuovamente premuto il pulsante
per sbloccare la direzione di ascolto.
Silenziamento dei microfoni
In tutti gli scenari di microfoni remoti, i microfoni possono essere disatti-
vati e riattivati premendo brevemente il pulsante (1.4).
Funzioni dello streaming Bluetooth
In modalità Bluetooth, il Sound Assist può essere utilizzato per le chiamate
telefoniche in vivavoce e per lo streaming audio da un dispositivo Blue-
tooth collegato all'apparecchio acustico (illustrazione 3).

Streaming con bobina telefonica
Quando Sound Assist è in modalità Bobina telefonica, trasmette il suono
da qualsiasi bobina telefonica nelle vicinanze. Questo significa che gli
utenti di apparecchi acustici senza Bobina telefonica possono connettersi
ai sistemi Bobina telefonica.
Quando si trasmette l'audio da Bobina telefonica, è importante che il di-
spositivo sia orientato con il pulsante di accensione/modalità (1.6) rivolto
verso l'alto. Si consiglia di indossare il Sound Assist con il cavetto per il
collo.
Per sospendere lo streaming, premere brevemente il pulsante (1.4). Pre-
mere di nuovo per riprendere la trasmissione in streaming.
Funzioni di telecomando
Quando non viene utilizzato per lo streaming, il Sound Assist può essere
usato come telecomando per gli apparecchi acustici, se si desidera cam-
biare programma o regolare il volume. Per utilizzare il Sound Assist a
questo scopo, selezionare prima la modalità Bluetooth.
Cambio di programma
Premere il pulsante programmi (1.2) per cambiare il programma di ascolto
sull’apparecchio acustico.
Se l’apparecchio acustico è programmato con il programma speciale Zen+,
sarà possibile accedervi premendo a lungo il pulsante programmi (1.2).
Delle brevi pressioni sul pulsante programmi permetteranno di scegliere
tra tutti gli stili Zen disponibili.

pulsante programmi.
Regolazione del suono
Per regolare il volume, premere brevemente il pulsante di aumento del
volume (+) per alzare il volume, e premere brevemente il pulsante di
riduzione del volume (-) per abbassarlo.
Ricarica
Collegare il cavo micro USB (2.1) al Sound Assist e all'alimentazione.
Consigliamo di utilizzare il cavo micro-USB in dotazione.
Il dispositivo impiega circa 3 ore per ricaricarsi e i primi 30-60 minuti di
ricarica aumentano notevolmente la durata della batteria.
NOTA
Il dispositivo è utilizzabile durante la ricarica.
L’app
Scaricare l’app MOMENT dall’App Store di Apple o da Google Play Store
e utilizzarla per le notifiche di aggiornamento del firmware. Controllare le

用途
本機は、オーディオを内蔵マイクからサポートされている
補聴器に送信し、騒がしい状況で会話 の理解を促進するた
めに、設計されています。
本機は、複数の音源（アナログとデジタル）からオーディ
オを受信し、オーディオをワイヤレスにサポートされてい
る補聴器に送信することもできます。さらに、本機は、サ
ポートされている補聴器を様々な視聴の状況に合せて調整
するためのリモコンとして使用することができます。

SOUND ASSIST の使用
すべての説明には図が添えられています。これらは、折り
込まれている表紙や裏表紙で確認できます。
本機のペアリング
Sound Assist は、他の機器とペアリングする前に、補聴器
とペアリングする必要があります。
補聴器のペアリング：
1. Sound Assist がオフになっていることを確認してくだ
さい。
2. 補聴器を再起動します。次に、補聴器が 3 分間ペアリン
グモードになります。
3. ライトインジケータ（1.5）が青に輝くまで、音量アッ
プのボタン（+）と電源/モードボタン（1.6）を 3 秒間
同時に押してください。
4. Sound Assist と補聴器の間の距離が 1m 以内であるこ
とを確認します。
5. ペアリング手順が自動的に開始されます。
6. ペアリングが正常に完了すると、使用状況を示すライト
インジケータ（1.5）が緑色に点灯します。
ペアリング後、Sound Assist はマイクモードで起動しま
す。Sound Assist は、補聴器 1 セットに対してのみペアリ
ングできます。補聴器の新しいセットにペアリングするに
は、同じステップを実行する必要があります。新しいペア
リングは既存のペアリングを上書きします。

スマートフォンや他の機器とのペアリング：
1. Sound Assist をオフにします。
2. スマートフォン/機器で Bluetooth を有効にします。

ペアリング後、Sound Assist は Bluetooth モードで起動し
ます。Sound Assist は最大 8 台の Bluetooth 機器とペア
リングでき、1 台の Bluetooth 機器とアクティブに接続で
きます。
補聴器と電話/機器のペアリングをリセットするには：
1. Sound Assist をオフにします。
2. 音量を下げるボタン（-）と電源/モードボタン（1.6）を
5 秒間同時に押してください。
3. ペアリングリストがリセット中に、ライトインジケータ
（1.5）が黄色で点滅し始めます。
4. リセットが完了すると、Sound Assist がオフになりま
す。

Sound Assist には 3 つの動作モードがあります：リモート
マイク、Bluetooth、テレコイルです。現在の動作モード
は、3 つのモードインジケータ（1.8）により示されます。
本機がオンの際には、電源/モードボタン（1.6）を短時間
押し、動作モードの切り替えを行います。

伝送（ストリーミング）の音量を調整
音量ボタン（1.1）のいずれかを短時間押すことにより、伝
送された音声の音量を上げたり（+）、下げたり（-）しま
す。伝送された音声の調整は、Bluetooth、誘導ループ、リ
モートマイクで音声を伝送する場合、3 つのモードすべて
で行うことができます。
ルームオフとはすなわち、本機からオーディオを伝送して
いる際に補聴器のマイクをミュートに設定することによ
り、部屋の周囲の音を遮断できることを指します。この機
能は、音量を下げる（-）を長押ししすると有効になり、音
量を上げるボタン（+）を長押しすると無効になります。
ボタンのロック
本機のボタンは、意図せずに有効になることがないように、
ロックできます。音量を上げる（+）とプログラムボタン
（1.2）を同時に押して、ボタンのロックやロック解除を行
います。
ライトインジケータ（1.5）が 2 回白で点滅し、ボタンのロ
ックやロック解除が行われたことを示します。
Sound Assist の装着
Sound Assist は、メタルクリップ（1.10）を使用すること
により持ち運ぶことができます。衣服に直接取り付けるこ
とも、ネックループ（2.2）に取り付けることもできます。

リモートマイクの機能
パートナーマイク（図 5）：単一の話し手が Sound Assist
を装着している際、本機は会話の相手の音声を自動的に補
聴器へ伝送します。
テーブルマイク（図 6）：複数の話し手がいる場合、Sound
Assist をテーブルマイクとして使用できます。夕食会でテ
ーブルに配置するなど、本機を平らな表面に配置する際、
音声が補聴器に自動的に伝送されます。
単一の話し手に集中する場合、聴取の方向をロックして、
聴取する話し手を指し示すことができます。聴取の方向を
ロックするには、上部のライトインジケータが緑で点灯す
るまで、プッシュボタン（1.4）を長押しします。機器の方
向付けとは関係なく、方向はロックされます。プッシュボ
タンを再度長押しして、聴取の方向のロック解除を行いま
す。
マイクのミュート設定
すべてのリモートマイクを使う状況で、短時間プッシュボ
タン（1.4）を押すことにより、マイクのミュートやミュー
ト解除の設定を行えます。
Bluetooth の伝送（ストリーミング）機能
Bluetooth のモードでは、ハンズフリー通話、あるいは接
続されている Bluetooth 機器から補聴器へのオーディオの
伝送に、Sound Assist を使用することができます（図 3）。

Sound Assist を使用すると、着信の受話、拒否、終話を行
うことができ、内蔵マイク（1.3）が通話中の音声をピック

テレコイルのストリーミング
Sound Assist がテレコイルモードの場合、近くのテレコイ
ルから音声を伝送します。これは、テレコイルを装備して
いない補聴器のユーザーがテレコイルシステムに接続でき
ることを意味します。
テレコイルオーディオの伝送を行う場合、本機の電源/モー
ドボタン（1.6）が上向きになるようにすることが重要で
す。ネックループにより Sound Assist を装着することが
推奨されます。
伝送を保留にするには、プッシュボタン（1.4）を短時間押
します。伝送を再開するには、再度押します。
リモコン機能
伝送のために使用されていない場合は、プログラムの変更
や音量の調整を行うために、Sound Assist を補聴器のリモ
コンとして使用することができます。このために Sound
Assist を使用するには、まず Bluetooth モードを選択しま
す。

プログラムの変更
補聴器のプログラムを変更するにはプログラムボタン
（1.2）を押します。
補聴器が特別な Zen+プログラムでプログラミングされて
いる場合、プログラムボタン（1.2）を長押しすることによ
り、これにアクセスします。次に、プログラムボタンを短
時間押して、任意の利用可能な Zen スタイルから使用する
ものを選択できます。
プログラムボタンを長押しすることにより、標準のプログ
ラムへ戻ります。
音量の調節
音量の調整のためには、音量を上げるボタン（+）を短時間
押して音量を上げるか、音量を下げるボタン（-）を短時間
押して音量を下げます。
充電
マイクロ USB ケーブル（2.1）を、Sound Assist と電源に
接続してください。同梱されているマイクロ USB ケーブ
ルを使用することを推奨します。
機器の充電には約 3 時間かかります。最初に 30～60 分の
充電で、使用時間を大幅に伸ばすことができます。
付記
本機は充電中も使用できます。

设计用途
该设备旨在将音频从内置麦克风传输到支持的助听器，以提

该设备还可以接收多个来源（模拟和数字）的音频，并将音
频无线传输到支持的助听器。此外，该设备还可以进行远程
控制，以根据不同的聆听环境调整所支持的助听器。

使用 SOUND ASSIST
所有说明均配有插图，位于折叠封面和封底。
设备配对
Sound Assist 必须先与助听器配对，然后再与其他设备配
对。
助听器配对：
1. 务必关闭 Sound Assist。
2. 重新启动您的助听器。然后助听器便将处于配对模式 3
分钟。
3. 同时长按音量调高按钮 (+) 和电源/模式按钮 (1.6) 3

长按电源/模式按钮 (1.6) 2 秒钟即可打开和关闭。
更改操作模式
Sound Assist 具有三种操作模式：远程麦克风、蓝牙和遥
感线圈。当前操作模式通过三个模式指示灯 (1.8) 显示。
打开设备后，轻按电源/模式按钮 (1.6) 即可切换设备模
式。
调整音量
短按两个音量按钮 (1.1) 之一，将流媒体音量调高 (+) 和
调低 (-)。通过蓝牙、Telecoil 和远程麦克风流媒体传输
声音时，可以在所有三种模式下调整流媒体音量。
房间模式关闭，即在从您的设备进行流媒体传输时，可以通

调低按钮 (-) 可激活该功能，长按音量调高按钮 (+) 可禁

按钮锁
设备上的按钮可以锁定，以防无意中按到它们。同时按下音

佩戴 Sound Assist
Sound Assist 佩戴时可以使用自带的金属夹 (1.10)。它可
以直接夹在衣服或项圈上 (2.2) （图示 4）。
远程麦克风功能

桌面麦克风（图示 6）：在多个说话者的设置下，Sound

户可以连接到遥感线圈系统。
传输遥感线圈音频时，重要的是设备的方向要保持电源/模
式按钮 (1.6) 朝上。建议使用项圈佩戴 Sound Assist。
轻按按钮 (1.4) 即可暂停音频流。再次按下按钮即可恢复
音频流。

远程控制功能
在不用于流媒体传输时，Sound Assist 可用作助听器的遥

如果您的助听器已编入特别的 Zen+ 程序，您可以长按程序

充电

Thank you for choosing this product to further enrich your audio experi-
ence.
Before you start using this device, please read these instructions carefully
to learn about features and functionalities.
NOTE
Your device may not look exactly as illustrated. We reserve the right to make
any changes considered necessary.
Intended use
The device is intended to transmit audio from the built-in microphones
to supported hearing aids to improve speech understanding in noisy
situations.
The device can also receive audio from multiple sources (analog and
digital) and transmit the audio wirelessly to the supported hearing aids.
Further, the device can be used as a remote control to adjust the suppor-
ted hearing aids to dierent listening situations.

Warnings
Strangulation hazard when neck loop or charging cable gets entangled
in moving mechanical parts of machines for example.
- Use only the delivered breakaway neck loop. It will automatically
detach when entangled.
- Do not use neck loop or charging cable for children under the age of
twelve.
Your device should be stored and transported within the temperature of
-20 °C to +55 °C (-4 °F to 131 °F) and humidity ranges of 10-95 % RH.
Your device is designed to operate at temperatures during charging of

USING SOUND ASSIST
All instructions are supported by illustrations found in the folded front and
back covers.
Pairing the device
Sound Assist must be paired to your hearing aids before you pair with
other devices.
Pairing to your hearing aids:
1. Make sure that Sound Assist is turned o.
2. Restart your hearing aids. The hearing aids will then be in pairing
mode for 3 minutes.
3. Press the volume up button (+) and the power/mode button (1.6)
simultaneously for 3 seconds until the in-use light indicators (1.5) are
glowing blue.
4. Make sure that the Sound Assist and your hearing aids are within 1 m
range of each other.
5. The pairing sequence will start automatically.
6. The in-use light indicators (1.5) will light green, when the pairing is
successfully completed.
After pairing the Sound Assist will start in Mic mode. The Sound Assist can
only be paired to one set of hearing aids. To pair a new set of hearing aids,
you must perform the same steps and the new pairing will overwrite the
existing one.

Pairing to your smartphone or other device:
1. Turn o your Sound Assist.
2. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone/device.
3. Press the volume up button (+) and the power/mode button (1.6)
simultaneously for 3 seconds until the in-use light indicators (1.5) are
glowing blue.
4. Make sure that Sound Assist and your phone/device are within 1 metre
range of each other.
5. Go to the Bluetooth menu on your smartphone/device and pair by
selecting Sound Assist from the list of available devices.
6. The in-use light indicators (1.5) will briefly flash white, when the
pairing is successfully completed.
After pairing the Sound Assist will start in Bluetooth mode. Sound Assist
can be paired with up to 8 Bluetooth devices and actively connected to 1
Bluetooth device.
To reset hearing aid and phone/device pairings:
1. Turn o your Sound Assist.
2. Press the volume down button (-) and the power/mode button (1.6)
simultaneously for 5 seconds.

Changing the operating mode
The Sound Assist has three operating modes: Remote Microphone, Blue-
tooth and Telecoil. The current operating mode is shown by the three
mode light indicators (1.8).
When the device is turned on, press the power/mode button (1.6) briefly
to toggle between the device modes.

Adjusting stream volume
Turn the volume of streamed sound up (+) and down (-) by briefly
pressing one of the two volume buttons (1.1). Adjusting streamed volume
can be done in all three modes, when streaming sound via Bluetooth,
Telecoil and Remote Microphone.
Room o, i.e. is the possibility of shutting out surrounding sounds in the
room by muting the hearing aid microphones while streaming audio from
your device. The function is activated by a long press on the volume down
button (-) and deactivated by a long press on the volume up button (+).
Button lock
The buttons on the device can be locked to prevent them from being
unintentionally activated. Press volume up (+) and program button (1.2)
simultaneously to lock and unlock the buttons.
The in-use light indicators (1.5) flash white twice to indicate that the
buttons have been locked or unlocked.
Wearing the Sound Assist
Sound Assist can be carried by use of the integrated metal clip (1.10).
It can be attached directly on to the garment or on the neck loop (2.2)
(illustration 4).

Remote microphone features
Partner microphone (illustration 5): When a single speaker is wearing the
Sound Assist, the device automatically streams the voice of the conversa-
tion partner to the hearing aid.
Tabletop microphone (illustration 6): For a setting with multiple speak-
ers, Sound Assist can be used as a tabletop microphone. When placing
the device on a flat surface, e.g. on the table at a dinner party, it will
automatically stream the voices to the hearing aid.
If you want to focus on a single speaker, it is possible to lock the listening
direction and manually point at the speaker you want to listen to. To lock
the listening direction, press and hold the push-button (1.4) until the top
in-use light indicator is solid green. The direction will be locked regardless
of device orientation. Press and hold the push-button again to unlock the
listening direction.
Muting the microphones
In all remote microphone scenarios, the microphones can be muted and
unmuted by briefly pressing the push-button (1.4).
Bluetooth streaming features
In Bluetooth mode, the Sound Assist can be used for handsfree phone
calls and audio streaming from a connected Bluetooth device to your
hearing aid (illustration 3).

Handsfree phone calls
The Sound Assist will allow you to accept, decline and end phone calls and
the built-in microphones (1.3) will pick up your voice during a call.
Incoming calls
Answer Press push-button (1.4) briefly and speak into Sound As-
sist's microphone (1.3).
End Press push-button (1.4) briefly.
Reject Press and hold push-button (1.4) for 2 seconds.
Outgoing calls
Call up Start the call on the connected phone or make a request
via the phone's voice assistant. Once connected, speak
into Sound Assist's microphone.
How to activate the Voice Assistant
In Bluetooth mode, you can activate the Voice Assistant on a connected
device, except for when you are in an active phone call.
Sound Assist must be connected to a Bluetooth device with a Voice
Assistant enabled to activate the Voice Assistant support.
Press and hold the push-button (1.4) for 2 seconds, and make your voice
command.

Audio streaming
You can use Sound Assist to stream audio from any Bluetooth source to
your hearing aid. Simply activate streaming on your connected device.

NOTE
Handsfree phone calls and audio streaming from connected Bluetooth sources
is only possible in Bluetooth mode.
Telecoil streaming
When Sound Assist is in Telecoil mode, it will stream sound from any
Telecoil nearby. This means that users of hearing aids without Telecoil can
connect to Telecoil systems.
When streaming Telecoil audio it is important that the device is oriented
with the power/mode button (1.6) pointing upwards. Wearing the Sound
Assist by the neck loop is advised.
To suspend the stream, press the push-button (1.4) briefly. Press again to
resume the stream.

Telecoil streaming
When Sound Assist is in Telecoil mode, it will stream sound from any
Telecoil nearby. This means that users of hearing aids without Telecoil can
connect to Telecoil systems.
When streaming Telecoil audio it is important that the device is oriented
with the power/mode button (1.6) pointing upwards. Wearing the Sound
Assist by the neck loop is advised.
To suspend the stream, press the push-button (1.4) briefly. Press again to
resume the stream.
Remote control features
When not used for streaming, Sound Assist can be used as a remote
control for your hearing aids, if you want to change program or adjust
volume. To use your Sound Assist for this, first select Bluetooth mode.
Changing program
Press the program button (1.2) briefly to change program on your hearing
aid.
If your hearing aid is programmed with the special Zen+ program, you
access this by a long press on the program button (1.2). Short presses
on the program button will then allow you to choose from among any
available Zen styles.
You return to the standard listening programs with a long press of the
program button.

Adjusting the sound
For adjusting the volume, press the volume up button (+) briefly to raise
the volume, and press the volume down button (-) briefly to lower the
volume.
Charging
Connect the micro USB cable (2.1) to your Sound Assist and the power
supply. We recommend that you use the micro USB cable included.
It takes approximately 3 hours to charge your device, and the first 30-60
minutes of charging will give a significant boost in battery life.
NOTE
The device is usable during charging.
The app
Download the MOMENT app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store
and use this for notifications to upgrade the firmware. Control the settings
such as volume and program selection on the hearing aids.
Simply follow the instructions in the app.
