INSTRUCTIONS
How to Operate your Hairsetter:
1. Place hairsetter on a firm, flat surface.
With the lid closed, plug cord into outlet
(120V). This appliance has a polarized
plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to
defeat this safety feature.
2. Once plugged in, turn the unit on by
sliding the switch to the on position. The
rollers will heat up quickly. (please refer
to HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR for further
instruction).
3. Allow rollers to heat with lid closed, as
this will provide the fastest, most efficient
heat-up. Once the rollers are hot, you
can begin setting your hair. Heat sensor
changes to white when ready to use.
Allow rollers to heat longer for tighter
curls. Never leave your hairsetter on and
unattended. Always unplug the hairsetter
when not in use. Allow the hairsetter to
cool down after use, and store in a safe
place.
4. Hair should be clean and dry or slightly
damp – never wet when setting.
HOW TO CURL YOUR HAIR
1. Place ends of hair on roller and wind
toward the scalp. Roll up hair firmly, and
secure clip, crossing over roller. Do not
place clip in roller slit.
2. The firmness of the curl is regulated by
the temperature and the length of time
the roller is left in your hair.
3. For tight, firm curls, leave rollers in
the hair for at least ten minutes before
removing. For soft, wavy curls, the rollers
should be removed from the hair after a
shorter period of time.
4. Removing roller: hold roller in one hand
while removing clips with the other.
Gently drop roller (DO NOT PULL) and let
curl bounce back after roller has been
completely removed. Let cool for one
minute for a firmly set curl, and then style
your hair into a look that lasts for hours.
IMPORTANT: After using the hairsetter
several times, you will find the best timing
for the texture of your hair and for the result
you desire.

USER
MAINTENANCE
Your hairsetter is designed for professional
use and is virtually maintenance-free. This
product represents the highest standards
of workmanship and engineering research.
If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect
the appliance from the power source. Allow
the setter to cool. Clean the unit and the
heating sink with a cloth. (Occasionally
you may want to clean your rollers. Use a
damp cloth and mild detergent or soap.) If
any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the
hairsetter, allow it to cool, and return it to an
authorized service representative for repair.
STORAGE
Allow hairsetter to cool. Handle cord carefully
for longer life; avoid jerking or straining at
plug connections. Place hairsetter out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled or twisted. Never wrap the cord
around the unit. Damage will occur at
the high flex point of entry into the unit,
causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage.
Stop use immediately if damage is visible or
if unit stops or operates intermittently.

Everyone knows that electricity and water
are a dangerous combination. But did you
know that an electrical appliance is still
electrically live even if the switch is off? If
the plug is in, the power is on. So when you
are not using your appliances, keep them
unplugged.

option) your unit free of charge for 24
months from the date of purchase if the
appliance is defective in workmanship or
materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return

listed on back, together with your purchase
receipt and $5.00 for postage and handling.
California residents need only provide
proof of purchase and should call 1-800-
326-6247 for shipping instructions. In the
absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty
period shall be 24 months from the date of
manufacture.

BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND

DE USO
Cómo operar el conjunto de rulos calientes:
1. Ponga el aparato sobre una superficie
llana y segura. Cierre la cubierta y enchufe
el cable en un tomacorriente (120V). El
cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha
que otra). Como medida de seguridad, se
podrá enchufar de una sola manera en el
tomacorriente. Si no entrara por completo,
inviértela. Si aún no entrara completamente,
comuníquese con un electricista. No intente
vencer esta función de seguridad.
2. Después conectar el aparato, ponga el
interruptor de encendido/apagado en
la posición “ON”. El indicador luminoso
rojo se encenderá, los rulos calentarán
rápidamente y activarán automáticamente
la función iónica (véase CÓMO FIJAR EL
CABELLO para más información).
3. Mantenga la cubierta cerrada hasta que
los rulos estén calientes. Esto logrará
un calentamiento más rápido y efectivo.
Empiece a fijar el cabello cuando los rulos
lleguen a la temperatura deseada. Nota: El
indicador térmico se volverá blanco cuando
los rulos estén listos. Para obtener rizos
apretados, deje que los rulos calienten
por más tiempo. Nunca deje el aparato
desatendido después de encenderlo.
Desconecte el aparato después de usarlo.
Después del uso, permita que el aparato
enfríe y guárdelo en un lugar seguro.
4. Su cabello debería estar limpio y seco, o
ligeramente húmedo. No fije el cabello mojado.
CÓMO FIJAR EL CABELLO
1. Coloque las puntas del cabello en el rulo
y enróllelo firmemente hacia el cuero
cabelludo. Sujete el rulo con una pinza
puesta alrededor del mismo. No coloque la
pinza en el ojo del rulo.
2. La textura de los rizos depende de la
temperatura del rulo y del tiempo que se
deja el rulo en el cabello.
3. Para lograr bucles apretados y firmes, deje
los rulos en el cabello durante por lo menos
10 minutos. Para lograr bucles sueltos y
ondas suaves, déjelos en el cabello durante
menos tiempo.
4. Para remover los rulos: Coja el rulo con
una mano y remueva la pinza con la otra.
Deslice el rulo suavemente (NO LO JALE)
y permita que el cabello rebote libremente.
Permita que el cabello enfríe durante un
minuto para fijar los bucles, luego peine el
cabello a su gusto para lograr un estilo que
durará horas.
IMPORTANTE: La experiencia le enseñará cual
método emplear para obtener los resultados
deseados.

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su aparato ha sido diseñado para uso
doméstico, usando un óptimo nivel de
tecnología y de trabajo. Casi no necesita
mantenimiento Cuando sea necesario
limpiarlo, desconéctelo, permita que enfríe y
limpie el aparato y los elementos calefactores
con un paño limpio. De vez en cuando,
limpie los rulos usando un paño humedecido
y detergente o jabón suave. En caso de
mal funcionamiento, desconecte el aparato,
permita que enfríe y regréselo a un centro de
servicio autorizado para que lo reparen.
ALMACENAMIENTO
Después de utilizar el aparato, desconéctelo,
permita que enfríe y guárdelo en un lugar
seco y seguro, fuera del alcance de los niños.
Manipule el cable con cuidado para prolongar
su vida útil. No lo jale, retuerza o doble al nivel
de la clavija.

NUNCA jale ni retuerza el cable eléctrico.
Nunca lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor
del aparato. Esto podría dañar la junta
flexible que lo conecta, produciendo su
ruptura o un cortocircuito. Inspeccione el
