The seat disassembly procedure is the same for all Monster 1200 and Monster R motorcycles. The procedure for the Monster R will be described here as a general example. Introdurre la chiave nella serratura (F1), ruotarla in senso orario e contemporaneamente premere verso il basso in prossimità del chiavistello per agevolare lo sgancio del piolo. Sfilare la sella (F) dai fermi anteriori tirandola all’indietro. Insert the key in lock (F1), turn the key clockwise and simultaneously press downward in the area of the latch to release the pin. Pull seat (F) backwards to release it from the front retainers. Se è montato, è necessario rimuovere il coperchio sella (A) svitando le due viti (B). Ruotare le piastrine (C) e aprire le estremità laterali del coperchio per sfilarlo dalla sella. In case the seat cover (A) is installed, it has to be removed by loosening the two screws (B). Turn the plates (C) and open the cover side ends to remove it from the seat. Montaggio kit borsa morbida posteriore (versione Monster 1200) Rear soft bag kit assembly (Monster 1200 version) Assicurarsi che tutti gli elementi siano correttamente disposti e fissati nel vano sotto la sella (F). Inserire le estremità anteriori del fondo sella nei perni (E1) e (E2) del supporto fissato al telaietto posteriore. Tenendo sollevata la parte posteriore della sella, inserire il fissaggio centrale, spingendo sopra di esso: spingere sull’estremità posteriore della sella fino ad udire lo scatto del chiavistello della serratura. Assicurarsi che la sella sia saldamente fissata al telaio e rimuovere la chiave dalla serratura. Appoggiare la borsa morbida (1) sulla sella nella posizione corretta. Agganciare, sotto la sella, l'elastico anteriore sinistro (1A) con quello posteriore destro (1B) e l'elastico anteriore destro (1C) con quello posteriore sinistro (1D), come indicato in figura. Importante Far passare i n.4 elastici (1A), (1B), (1C) e (1D) nei rispettivi anelli (1E), (1F), (1G) e (1H). Fissaggio borsa morbida lato destro. Fissare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) al telaio (D) eseguendo un nodo (bocca di lupo), come indicato in figura. Agganciare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) con l'apposito moschettone (2A) all'anello anteriore destro (1G). Fissaggio borsa morbida lato sinistro. Fissare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) al telaio (D) eseguendo un nodo (bocca di lupo), come indicato in figura. Agganciare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) con l'apposito moschettone (2A) all'anello anteriore sinistro (1E). Tirare contemporaneamente le n.2 cinghie di sicurezza (2) fino a bloccare la borsa (1). Verifiche Make sure that all parts are correctly arranged and secured in the compartment under the seat (F). Fit the front ends of seat bottom on pins (E1) and (E2) of the support fastened to the rear subframe. While lifting the rear side of seat, fit central fastener by pushing on it: push on the rear end of seat until locking latch snaps. Make sure that the seat is firmly secured to the frame and remove the key from the lock. Lay soft bag (1) on the seat in the correct position. Under the seat, engage the front LH elastic band (1A) to the rear RH elastic band (1B) and then engage the rear RH one (1C) to the rear LH one (1D), as shown in figure. Caution Pass the no. 4 elastic bands (1A), (1B), (1C) and (1D) through their respective rings (1E), (1F), (1G) and (1H). Fixing the soft bag on RH side Fasten the safety belt (2) to the frame (D) by making a knot (lark's head), as shown in figure. Fasten the safety belt (2) with the dedicated spring catch (2A) to the front RH ring (1G). Fixing the soft bag on LH side Fasten the safety belt (2) to the frame (D) by making a knot (lark's head), as shown in figure. Fasten the safety belt (2) with the dedicated spring catch (2A) to the front LH ring (1E). Simultaneously pull both the no.2 safety belts (2) until the bag (1) is secured. Checks Check that seat bag (1) is securely attached to the frame (D). Check that the 4 elastic bands under the seat are correctly engaged to one another. Assicurarsi che la sella sia saldamente fissata al telaio e rimuovere la chiave dalla serratura. Fissaggio borsa al sottosella Appoggiare la borsa morbida (1) sulla sella nella posizione corretta. Agganciare l'elastico anteriore sinistro (1A) all’anello posteriore destro (1E) e l’elastico anteriore destro (1B) all’anello posteriore sinistro (1F), come mostrato in figura (X). Agganciare l'elastico posteriore sinistro (1C) all’anello anteriore destro (1G) e l’elastico posteriore destro (1D) all’anello anteriore sinistro (1H), come mostrato in figura (X). Fissare la borsa (1) al sottosella utilizzando la cinghia di sicurezza (1L). Fissaggio borsa morbida lato destro Fissare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) alla piastra portapedana passeggero destra (G) eseguendo un nodo (bocca di lupo), come indicato in figura (Y). Agganciare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) con l'apposito moschettone (2A) all'anello anteriore destro (1G). Fissaggio borsa morbida lato sinistro Fissare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) alla piastra portapedana passeggero sinistra (H) eseguendo un nodo (bocca di lupo), come indicato in figura (Z). Agganciare la cinghia di sicurezza (2) con l'apposito moschettone (2A) all'anello anteriore sinistro (1H). Tirare contemporaneamente le n.2 cinghie di sicurezza (2) fino a bloccare la borsa (1). Rear soft bag kit assembly (Monster R version) Make sure that all parts are correctly arranged and secured in the compartment under the seat (F). Fit tabs (E), set on seat bottom front end, on tank support bracket (G) which is fastened to the rear subframe. While lifting the rear side of seat, fit central fastener by pushing on it: push on the rear end of seat until locking latch snaps. Make sure that the seat is firmly secured to the frame and remove the key from the lock. Fixing bag to underseat plate Lay soft bag (1) on seat in the proper position. Engage front LH elastic band (1A) to rear RH ring (1E) and front RH elastic band (1B) to rear LH ring (1F), as shown in figure (X). Engage rear LH elastic band (1C) to front RH ring (1G) and rear RH elastic band (1D) to front LH ring (1H), as shown in figure (X). Fasten bag (1) to the underseat plate using the safety belt (1L). Fixing the soft bag on RH side Fasten the safety belt (2) to the RH passenger footpeg holder plate (G) by making a cow hitch, as shown in figure (Y). Fasten the safety belt (2) with the dedicated spring catch (2A) to the front RH ring (1G). Fixing the soft bag on LH side Fasten the safety belt (2) to the LH passenger footpeg holder plate (H) by making a cow hitch, as shown in figure (Z). Fasten the safety belt (2) with the dedicated spring catch (2A) to the front LH ring (1H). Simultaneously pull the 2 safety belts (2) until the bag (1) is secured. Checks Make sure that the seat bag (1) is firmly secured to right-hand (G) and left-hand (H) passenger footpeg holder plates. Ensure that the 4 elastic bands are properly fastened to the relevant rings. ISTR 567 / 01 7 Avvertenze generali sul montaggio della borsa morbida posteriore General notes on rear soft bag assembly Warning Attenzione Periodically check the integrity of safety belts (2) and their relevant spring catches (2A) Attenzione Before riding, make sure safety belts (2) are always fastened to bag (1) and tensioned so as to prevent the bag from releasing from motorcycle while riding. Controllare periodicamente l'integrità delle cinghie di sicurezza (2) e dei rispettivi moschettoni (2A). Prima di mettersi in viaggio assicurarsi che le cinghie di sicurezza (2) siano sempre agganciate alla borsa (1) e tensionate onde evitare il distacco della borsa stessa dal motoveicolo in fase di marcia. Attenzione È fatto obbligo di rispettare i limiti di velocità imposti dal paese in cui ci si trova a circolare e comunque è vietato oltrepassare i 130 Km/h con la borsa sella (1) montata sulla moto poiché oltre si rischia il distacco della borsa stessa. Importante The seat bag (1) comes with a waterproof cover (3) to be used in case of rain. When the cover is mounted, it is forbidden to exceed 110 Km/h. La continua e prolungata esposizione agli agenti atmosferici potrebbe determinare dei minimi o sensibili cambiamenti nel colore dei tessuti/materiali. Le cerniere devono essere usate con cura senza essere forzate, devono essere pulite periodicamente dai residui di polvere ed umidità. In caso di pioggia è possibile ricoprire la borsa sella (1) con la cuffia impermeabile (3) in dotazione. Con la cuffia montata è vietato oltrepassare i 110 Km/h di velocità. Importante La cuffia impermeabile non garantisce la completa impermeabilità della borsa. Attenzione Il peso massimo trasportabile dalla borsa sella (1) è di 5 Kg. Nel caso si ecceda il peso consigliato si rischia la rottura della borsa stessa la quale puo’ influire negativamente sulla sicurezza del pilota. Das dieser Sitzbank anzuwendende Abnahmeverfahren trifft auf alle Motorräder Monster 1200 und Monster R zu, daher wurde im Beispiel das Verfahren an der Monster R dargestellt. Insérer la clé dans la serrure (F1), la tourner dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre et, en même temps, exercer une pression vers le bas à proximité du verrou pour faciliter le dégagement du pion. Sortir la selle (F) des arrêtoirs avant en la tirant vers l'arrière. Adopter toutes les précautions nécessaires pour éviter d'endommager la surface externe des composants où on opère. Installation du Kit sacoche arrière (version Monster 1200) Vérifier que tous les éléments sont correctement placés et fixés dans le compartiment dessous de selle (F). Placer les extrémités avant du fond de selle sur les barres (E1) et (E2) du support fixé au sous-cadre arrière. En tenant la partie arrière de la selle soulevée, insérer la fixation centrale, en poussant au-dessus : appuyer sur l'extrémité arrière de la selle jusqu'à ce que l'on entende le déclic du verrou de la serrure. Vérifier que la selle soit solidement fixée au cadre et retirer la clé de la serrure. Appuyer la sacoche (1) sur la selle dans la position correcte. Sous la selle, accrocher la bande élastique avant gauche (1A) à celle arrière droite (1B) et la bande élastique droite (1C) à celle arrière gauche (1D), comme la figure le montre. Important Faire passer les 4 bandes élastiques (1A), (1B), (1C) et (1D) dans les bagues correspondantes (1E), (1F), (1G) et (1H). Fixation sacoche côté droit Fixer la courroie de sécurité (2) au cadre (D) en faisant un noeud (gueule de loup), comme la figure le montre. Accrocher la courroie de sécurité (2) à la bague avant droite (1G) à l'aide du mousqueton approprié (2A). Fixation sacoche côté gauche Fixer la courroie de sécurité (2) au cadre (D) en faisant un noeud (gueule de loup), comme la figure le montre. Accrocher la courroie de sécurité (2) à la bague avant gauche (1E) à l'aide du mousqueton approprié (2A). Tirer simultanément les 2 courroies de sécurité (2) jusqu'à bloquer la sacoche (1). Vérifications Vérifier que la sacoche de selle (1) soit solidement fixée au cadre (D). Vérifier l'accrochage correct des 4 bandes élastiques entre elles sous la selle. ISTR 567 / 01 Montage der Komponenten des Kits Wichtig Vor der Montage überprüfen, dass sich alle Komponenten im sauberen und perfekten Zustand befinden. Alle erforderlichen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen treffen, um eine Beschädigung der Oberflächen der Komponenten, die vom Eingriff betroffen sind, zu vermeiden. Montage des Kits der weichen Hecktasche (Version Monster 1200) Sicherstellen, dass alle Elemente korrekt angeordnet und im Sitzbankfach (F) befestigt sind. Die vorderen Enden des Sitzbankbodens auf die Bolzen (E1) und (E2) des am Heckrahmen befestigten Halters einfügen. Während der hintere Sitzbankteil angehoben gehalten wird, die zentrale Befestigung einfügen und dabei darauf drücken: auf das hintere Ende der Sitzbank drücken, bis das Einrasten der Schlossverriegelung zu hören ist. Sicherstellen, dass die Sitzbank fest am Rahmen befestigt ist, dann den Schlüssel aus dem Schloss ziehen. Die weiche Tasche (1) in korrekter Position auf die Sitzbank auflegen. Den vorderen linken Spanngurt (1A) mit dem hinteren rechten (1B und den vorderen rechten Spanngurt (1C) mit dem hinteren linken (1D), wie abgebildet unter der Sitzbank verhaken. Wichtig Die 4 Spanngurte (1A), (1B), (1C) und (1D) durch die jeweiligen Ringe (1E), (1F), (1G) und (1H) führen. Befestigung der weichen Tasche an der rechten Seite Den Sicherungsriemen (2) am Rahmen (D) fixieren und, wie abgebildet, einen Knoten (Slipknoten) knüpfen. Den Sicherungsriemen (2) mit der entsprechenden Schnalle (2A) am vorderen rechten Ring (1G) einhaken. Befestigung der weichen Tasche an der linken Seite Den Sicherungsriemen (2) am Rahmen (D) fixieren und, wie abgebildet, einen Knoten (Slipknoten) knüpfen. Den Sicherungsriemen (2) mit der entsprechenden Schnalle (2A) am vorderen linken Ring (1E) einhaken. Die 2 Sicherungsriemen (2) gleichzeitig ziehen, bis die Tasche (1) festgestellt ist. Introducir la llave en la cerradura (F1), girarla en el sentido de las agujas del reloj y contemporáneamente presionar hacia abajo cerca del pestillo para facilitar el desenganche del perno. Extraer el asiento (F) de los seguros delanteros, tirándolo hacia atrás. Si está montado, es necesario quitar la tapa asiento (A) desatornillando los dos tornillos (B). Girar las placas (C) y abrir los extremos laterales de la tapa para extraerla del asiento. Introducir los extremos delanteros del fondo asiento en los pernos (E1) y (E2) del soporte fijado al subchasis trasero. Manteniendo levantada la parte trasera del asiento, introducir la fijación central, empujando en la misma: empujar en el extremo trasero del asiento hasta escuchar el clic del pestillo de la cerradura. Asegurarse de que el asiento se encuentre fijado firmemente al bastidor y quitar la llave de la cerradura. Apoyar la bolsa suave (1) sobre el asiento en la posición correcta. Enganchar, debajo del asiento, el elástico delantero izquierdo (1A) con el trasero derecho (1B) y el elástico delantero derecho (1C) con el trasero izquierdo (1D), como indica la figura. Importante Pasar los 4 elásticos (1A), (1B), (1C) y (1D) en los respectivos anillos (1E), (1F), (1G) y (1H). Enganchar la correa de seguridad (2) con el específico enganche (2A), al anillo delantero derecho (1G). Controles Controlar que la bolsa asiento (1) se encuentre fijada de manera firme al bastidor (D). Controlar el correcto enganche de los 4 elásticos debajo del asiento. Enganchar la correa de seguridad (2) con el específico enganche (2A), al anillo delantero derecho (1G). Fijación bolsa suave lado izquierdo Fijar la correa de seguridad (2) a la placa porta estribo pasajero izquierda (H) realizando un nudo (boca de lobo), como ilustra la figura (Z). Enganchar la correa de seguridad (2) con el específico enganche (2A), al anillo delantero izquierdo (1H). Tirar contemporáneamente las 2 correas de seguridad (2) hasta bloquear la bolsa (1). Controles Comprobar que la bolsa asiento (1) esté fijada a las placas porta estribo pasajero derecha (G) e izquierda (H). Comprobar el correcto enganche de los 4 elásticos a los anillos correspondientes.
