WTFXX are photoelectric proximity sensors with foreground suppression. The pho‐
toelectric proximity sensor requires a background as a reference. The radiance
factor and position of the background should remain as uniform as possible. The
maximum distance (x) between photoelectric proximity sensor and background
as well as the minimum object height (y) must be upheld. As a rule, a WTFXX
is used to detect very flat objects on a conveyor belt. For detailed information,
please refer to the operating instructions or the data sheet (enter the part no. of
the sensor at www.sick.com).

the sensing range minimally. This increases the minimum object height accor‐
