warrant only that this product is free of defects, since many
factors which affect the results obtained from this product - such
as weather, workmanship, equipment utilized and prior condition
of the substrate - are all beyond our control. We will replace at no
charge any product proved to be defective that substantially affect
performance within 12 months of purchase, provided it has been
applied in accordance with our written directions for uses we
recommended as suitable for this product. Proof of purchase must

HENRY #201 FIBERED BLACK ROOF COATING is
a premium cold-applied, brush or spray-grade
solvent based asphalt roof coating. It is a
penetrating protective coating formulated to
provide a tough, durable, weather-resistant film to
protect existing roofs in good condition. The solvent
system allows working at lower temperatures than with
asphalt emulsions, and the coating won’t wash off if
unexpected drizzle occurs before curing. Complies with ASTM
D-4479, Type I.
NOTE:
Formulated for low slope surfaces. In hot weather, exposed
product may flow on sloped surfaces. May not be used on surfaces that
experience ponding water. Ponding water is defined as water remaining
on a roof surface 48 hours after rain has stopped.
CLEAN:
Surface must be clean and dry, free of moisture both on and
beneath the surface. Scrape off and remove gravel to provide a smooth
surface. Remove rust and scale from metal by wire brushing. Sweep roof
thoroughly to remove all dust and dirt. Carefully inspect area to be coated,
including around pipes, chimneys, equipment, roof edges and walls.
Repair all cracks, breaks, splits and holes by embedding Henry #195
Polyester Fabric or #183 Roof Repair Fabric between 2 heavy coats of
Henry #204
®
Plastic Roof Cement, #505 FlashMaster
TM
Flashing Cement
or #906 FlashMaster
TM
Plus Wet or Dry Flashing Cement applied over and
at least 2 inches beyond repair. Note: Seal leaks before Henry #201 is
applied!
APPLY:
Stir coating thoroughly. Do not thin. Apply a single coat over the
entire surface with a roofing brush or heavy duty spray equipment. In cold
weather, store coating in a warm room overnight before using. DO NOT
HEAT CONTAINER. Coating should soak into and not flood the surface.
Flooding of surface can cause run-off of the coating in hot weather.
COVERAGE:
100 sq. ft. per 1 1/2 to 2 gallons. Do not over-apply.

RECUBRIMIENTO NEGRO CON FIBRA PARA TECHOS HENRY #201 es
un recubrimiento asfáltico de óptima calidad para techos, con
base de solvente, para aplicación en frío con brocha o rociador.
Es un recubrimiento protector penetrante formulado para crear
una robusta película duradera, resistente a la intemperie, que se
usa para proteger techos existentes en buenas condiciones. El
sistema de solvente permite trabajar a temperaturas más bajas
que con las emulsiones asfálticas, y el recubrimiento no se
correrá con el agua si ocurren lloviznas inesperadas antes del
curado. Cumple con la especificación ASTM D-4479, Tipo I.
AVISO:
Formulado para superficies con poca inclinación. En climas
calurosos el producto expuesto al sol puede correrse si se lo aplica en
superficies inclinadas. No se debe usar en superficies sujetas a
estancamiento de agua. El estancamiento de agua se define como el
agua acumulada en una superficie de techo 48 horas después de que
haya cesado de llover.
LIMPIE:
La superficie debe estar limpia y seca, sin humedad arriba ni
abajo. Raspe y quite la grava para que la superficie quede lisa. Con un
cepillo de alambre quite las partes oxidadas y las escamas de las
superficies metálicas. Barra muy bien el techo para quitarle todo el polvo
y suciedad. Cuidadosamente inspeccione el área que va a cubrir,
incluyendo las áreas alrededor de tuberías, chimeneas, equipos, bordes
de techos y muros. Repare todas las grietas, resquebrajaduras, rajaduras
y agujeros incrustando tela de poliéster Henry #195 o la tela para
reparación de techos #183 entre 2 capas gruesas de el cemento plástico
para techos Henry #204, cemento tapajuntas #505 FlashMaster™ o
cemento tapajuntas de uso húmedo o seco #906 FlashMaster™

APLIQUE:
Agítelo muy bien. No lo diluya. Aplique una sola capa sobre

ambiente en interiores antes de usarlo. NO CALIENTE EL ENVASE. El
recubrimiento debe empapar la superficie pero no inundarla. Inundar la
superficie puede causar que el recubrimiento se corra en días calurosos.
RENDIMIENTO:

aplique en cantidades excesivas.
PRECAUCIONES:
No debe aplicarse si hay probabilidades de lluvia

aplicado en caliente quizá no impida la deformación en forma de piel de

NO LO USE con fieltros saturados. NO DEBE USARSE sobre aislamiento
sensible a los solventes, tejamaniles de madera ni tapajuntas de madera
de ningún tipo. Este revestimiento no se recomienda para usarlo sobre
grava, o techados de láminas de caucho ni de cloruro de polivinilo (PVC),
tejamaniles de ningún tipo, ni en techos viejos que estén muy secos y
quebradizos para soportar las tensiones de contracción que ocurren

PRECAUTIONS:
Do not apply if there is a threat of rain within 24-48
hours after application. Application over hot applied asphalt may not
prevent alligatoring of underlying asphalt flood or glaze coat. Do not apply
over damp or wet surfaces. Coating tends to soften in hot weather. Do not
walk on roof after coating in order to avoid tracking. Do not apply on roofs
with a slope greater than 2" in 12". When transporting, make sure the pail
is secured and the lid is tight to prevent spills. Allow to cure 3 to 4 months
before applying a reflective fibered aluminum coating. DO NOT USE with
saturated felts. DO NOT USE with solvent sensitive insulation, wood
shingles of any kind or wood flashings. This coating is not recommended
over gravel, rubber or PVC sheet roofing, shingles of any kind, or old roofs
that are too dry and brittle to withstand the shrinkage stresses that occur
after the application of any coating. The usual age limit for roofs to be
coated is 7 to 10 years, but this varies with condition of the roofing.
CLEAN-UP:
Remove coating from tools, etc., with kerosene, paint
thinner or mineral spirits. Clean hands with waterless hand cleaner.
WARNING:
This product contains chemicals known to the State of
California to cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive
harm.
Obtain a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) from your supplier
or Henry.
NOTE:
Asphalt-based coatings form a water soluble residue as they
weather. In areas without regular rainfall, the roof should be hosed off
occasionally to prevent build up and discoloration (removable with soap
and water). Areas that pond water may accumulate more asphalt residue.
WARNING! COMBUSTIBLE!
Contains petroleum distillate. Keep away
from heat and flame. Do not heat container or store at temperatures
greater than 110°F (43°C). CLOSE AIR INTAKES until solvents dissipate.
Contains volatile solvents that might contaminate potable water. Close
container after each use. Dispose of container and unused contents in
accordance with Local, State and Federal regulations.
DANGER! HARMFUL OR FATAL IF SWALLOWED.
If swallowed, do
not induce vomiting. CALL PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY! Use protective
measures to avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of eye contact,
open eyelids wide and flush immediately with plenty of water for at least
15 minutes. In case of accidental injection by power spray equipment,
GET MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY!
USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION!
Avoid breathing of
vapor. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, leave area
or increase fresh air or wear respirator (NIOSH/MSHA TC 23C or equal).
Repeated and prolonged occupational overexposure to solvent vapor may
cause permanent brain and nervous system damage, and may cause
liver or kidney damage.
