DESCRIPTION
_Read this manual carefully and become
familiar with your pressure washer. Know its
applications, its limitations and any hazards
involved.
This generator isan engine-driven, revolving field,alternating
current (AC) generator. It was designedto supply electrical
power for operating compatible electrical lighting,appliances,
tools andmotor loads.Thegenerator's revolvingfield is
driven at about 3,600rpm by a single-cylinderengine.
CAUTION! DO NOT exceed the generator's
wattage/amperage capacity.See"Don't Overload the
Generator" on page 10.

ASSEMBLY
Your generator requires some assembly and isready for
use after it hasbeenproperly serviced with the
recommended oil and fuel.
If you have any problems with the assembly of your
generator, please call the generator helpline at
1-800-270-1408.
IMPORTANT: Any attempt to run the unit before it has
been serviced with the recommended oil will result in an
engine failure.
Remove Generator From Carton
• Set the carton on a rigid fiat surfacewith "This Side Up"
arrows pointing upward.
• Carefully open the top flaps of the shippingcarton.
• Cut down corners at one end of carton from top to
bottom andlaythat side of carton down fiat
• Removeall packing material, carton fillers, etc.
• Removethe generator from the shipping carton.
Install Wheel Kit
IMPORTANT:This wheel kit is not intended for
over-the-road use.
To installyour wheel kit you need the followingtools:
• Two 13mm box, openend,or socket wrenches
Install Wheel Kit as follows:
I. Placethe bottom of the generator cradle on a fiat,
even surface.Temporarily place uniton blocks to ease
assembly.
2. Slide axle through both axle mounting brackets on
cradle frame, as shown in Figure I.
3. Slide a wheel over the axle.
NOTE: Be sure to install both wheels with the air
pressure valve on the outboard side.
4. Placethe e-ring onto the groove in the axle.You may
add the fiat washer if desired.
NOTE: Use retaining pins instead of e-ctip,if applicable.
5. Placeone end of the needle nose pliers on the bottom
of the axle and the other end of the pliers on top of
the e-ring. Seatthe e-ring by pressingthe pliers closed.

BEFORE STARTING THE
ENGINE
Add Oil
CAUTION! Any attempt to crank or start the engine
before it hasbeen properly filled with the recommended
oil may result in an engine failure.
To fill your engine with oil:
• Place generator on a level surface.
• Follow the oil grade recommendations and oil fill
instructions given in the engine owner's manual.
NOTE:The generator's revolving field rides on a
prelubricated and sealed ball bearing that requires no
additional lubrication for the life of the bearing.
Add Gasoline
_ ARNING! NEVER fill fuel tank indoors. NEVER
fill fuel tank when engine is running or hot.Allow
unit to cool for two minutes before refueling. DO
NOT light a cigarette or smoke when filling the fuel
tank.
_ WARNING! DO NOT overfill the fuel tank.
Always allow room for fuel expansion.
• Use regular UNLEADED gasolinewith the generator
engine.DO NOT usepremium gasoline.DO NOT mix
oil with gasoline.
• Clean area around fuel fill cap,remove cap.
• Slowly add unleaded regular gasoline to fuel tank. Be
careful not to overfill.Allow about 1.5"of tank spacefor
fuel expansion (Figure 2).

• Install fuel capand wipe up any spilled gasoline.
IMPORTANT: It is important to prevent gum deposits
from forming in essentialfuel system parts,such asthe
carburetor, fuel filter, fuel hose or tank during storage.Also,
experience indicates that alcohol-blended fuels (called
gasohol,ethanol or methanol) can attract moisture, which
leadsto separation and formation of acids during storage.
Acidic gascan damagethe fuel system of an engine while in
storage.
Be sure to review the precautions given in "Storage" on
page 12.NEVER useengine or carburetor cleaner products
in the fuel tank or permanent damagemay occur.

GROUNDING THE
G EN ERATO R
The National Electrical Code requires that the frame and
external electrically conductive parts of this generator be
properly connected to an approved earth ground. Local
electrical codes mayalso require proper grounding of the
unit. For that purpose, a GROUNDING WING NUT is
)rovided on the generator end (Figure 3).

Generally,connecting a No. 12AWG (American Wire
Gauge) stranded copper wire to the grounding wingnut
and to an earth-driven copper or brass grounding rod
(electrode) provides adequate protection against electrical
shock. Be careful to keepthe grounding wire attached after
connecting the stranded copper wire. However, local codes
may vary widely.Consult with a localelectrician for
grounding requirements in your area.
Properly grounding the generator helps prevent electrical
shock if aground fault condition exists in the generator or
in connected electrical devices,especiallywhen the unit is
equipped with a wheel kit. Proper grounding also helps
dissipate static electricity, which often builds up in
ungrounded devices.
OPERATING THE
G EN ERATO R
A AUTION! NEVER start or stop the engine
with electrical loadsconnected to the receptacles
AND with the connected devicesturned ON.
Starting the Engine
Disconnect all electrical loadsfrom the generator. Use the
following start instructionsteps by numerical order:
I. Turn the fuel valve to the "On" position (Figure 4).

2. Placethe choke lever in the "Choke" position
(Figure5).

3. Settherockerswitchto"On"position(Figure6).
RECEPTACLES
4. Grasp the recoil handle and pull slowly until slight
resistance is felt.Then putl rapidly to start engine.
5. Move choke lever to "Run" position a short distanceat
a time over severalsecondsin warm weather or
minutes incold weather.Let engine run smoothly before
eachchange.Operate with choke in"Run" position.
NOTE: If engine stilt fails to start after 3 pulls,check for
proper oil levet in crankcase.This unit isequipped with a
low oit device which prevents the engine from being
started. Seeengine manual
Refer to the engine owner's manual for more
detailed starting instructions.
Connecting Electrical Loads
• Let engine stabilize and warm up for a few minutes after
starting.
• Plugin and turn on the desired 120and/or 240 VottAC,
single phase,60 Hz electrical loads.
• DO NOT connect 240VoIt loads to the 120Volt duplex
receptacles.
• DO NOT connect 3-phase loads to the generator.
• DO NOT connect 50 Hz loadsto the generator.
• DO NOT OVERLOADTHE GENERATOR. See
"Don't Overload the Generator" on page 10.
Stopping the Engine
• Unplug all electrical loads from generator panel
receptacles.NEVER start or stop engine with electrical
devices plugged in and turned ON.
• Let engine run at no-load for several minutes to stabilize
the internal temperatures of engine and generator.
• Move rocker switch to "Off' position.
• Move the fuel valve to the "Off' position.
120/240 Volt AC, 30 Amp, Locking
Receptacle
Use a NEMA LI4-30 plugwith this receptacle. Connect a
4-wire cord set rated for 250Volt AC loads at 30 Amps (or
greater) (Figure7).You can use the same4-wire cord if you
)lan to run a 120Volt load.

120/240Volt 22.9Amp rating (up to 7,200 watts),
the generator isonly rated for 5,500 watts.
Powering loads that exceed the wattage/amperage
capacity of the generator candamageit or cause
serIOUS injuries.

Receptacles
Eachduplex receptacle (Figure 8) isprotected against
overload by a push-to-reset circuit breaker.

Use each receptacle to operate 120Volt AC, single-phase,
60 Hz electrical loadsrequiring up to 2,400 watts (2.4 kW)
at 20Amps of current. Use cord sets that are rated for
125Volt AC loads at 20 Amps (or greater).
_ CAUTION!These outlets are rated at 120Volt
20 Amp each (up to 80 Amps).The generator isonly
rated for up to 45.8Amps. Powering loadsthat
exceed the wattage/amperagecapacity of the
generator can damageit or cause serious injuries.
COLD WEATH ER
OPERATION
Under certain weather conditions (temperatures below
40°F [4°C] and a high dew point), your generator may
experience icingof the carburetor and/or the crankcase
breather system.
Build a structure that wilt enclose three sides and the top
of the generator:
• Make sure entire muffler-side of generator is exposed.
Note that your generator may appear different from that
shown in Figure9.
• Ensure a minimum of two feet clearance between open
side of box and nearest object.
• Face exposed end away from wind and elements.
• Enclosure should hold enough heat created by the
generator to prevent problems.
_ AUTION! NEVER run unit indoors. DO NOT
enclose generator any more than shown. Remove
generator from shelter when temperature is above
40°F [4°C].

DON'T OVERLOAD YOUR
G EN ERATO R
Capacity
You must make sure your generator cansupply enough
rated (running) and surge (starting) watts for the itemsyou
will power at the sametime. Follow these simple steps:
I. Select the itemsyou wilt power at the same time.
2. Total the rated (running) watts of these items.Thisis
the amount of power your generator must produce to
keep your itemsrunning. SeeFigure I0.
3. Estimate how many surge (starting) watts you wilt
need.Surgewattage isthe short burst of power
needed to start electric motor-driven tools or
appliancessuch asacircular saw or refrigerator.
Becausenot all motors start at the sametime, total
surge watts can be estimated by addingonly the
item(s)with the highest additional surge watts to the
total rated watts from step 2.

Power Management
To prolong the life of your generator and attached devices,
it is important to take care when addingelectrical loads to
your generator.There should be nothing connected to the
generator outlets before starting it's engine.The correct
and safeway to managegenerator power is to sequentially
add loads asfollows:
I. With nothing connected to the generator, start the
engine asdescribed in this manual.
2. Plugin and turn on the first load,preferably the largest
load you have.
3. Permit the generator output to stabilize (engine runs
smoothly and attached device operates properly.
4. Plug in and turn on the next load.
5. Again,permit the generator to stabilize.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each additional load.
NEVER add more loads than the generator capacity.Take
specialcare to consider surgeloads in generator capacity,
asdescribed above.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
RECOMMENDATIONS
The Owner/Operator is responsible for making sure that
all periodic maintenance tasks are completed on atimely
basis;that all discrepancies are corrected; and that the unit
is kept clean and properly stored. NEVER operate a
damaged or defective generator.
Engine Maintenance
See engine owner's manual for instructions.
If you need service for your engine, you need to determine
the engine identification number.To do so, remove the
rocker arm cover hood, item number 55 shown on
page 16, by removing the four nuts and washers holding it
in place.The engine model-type-trim number is stamped on
the side of the inner cover attached to the engine. Have
this number in hand when you call the engine service
center for assistance.
A AUTION! Avoid prolonged or repeated skincontact with used motor oil. Used motor oil has
been shown to causeskin cancer in certain
laboratory animals.Thoroughly wash exposed areas
with soapand water.
KEEPOUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. DON'T
POLLUTE.CONSERVE RESOURCES.RETURN
USED OIL TO COLLECTION CENTERS.
Generator Maintenance
Generator maintenance consists of keeping the unit clean
and dry. Operate and store the unit in a clean dry
environment where it will not be exposed to excessive
dust, dirt, moisture or any corrosive vapors. Cooling air
slots in the generator must not become clogged with snow,
leaves or any other foreign material.
NOTE: DO NOT use a garden hose to clean generator.
Water can enter engine fuel system and cause problems. In
addition, if water enters generator through cooling air slots,
some of the water wilt be retained in voids and cracks of
the rotor and stator winding insulation.Water and dirt
buildup on the generator internal windings will eventually
decrease the insulation resistance of these windings.
To Clean the Generator
A AUTION! NEVER insertany object or tool
through the air cooling slots, even ifthe engine is
not running.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe exterior surfaces clean.
• A soft bristle brush may be used to loosen caked on dirt
or oil.
• A vacuum cleaner may be used to pick up loose dirt and
debris.
• Low pressure air (not to exceed 25 psi) may be used to
blow awaydirt. Inspect cooling air slots and opening on
generator.These openings must be kept clean and
unobstructed.

STO RAG E
The generator should be started at least once every seven
claysand allowed to run at least 30 minutes. If this cannot
be done and you must store the unit for more than
30 days,usethe following guidelinesto prepare it for
storage.
Generator Storage
• Clean the generator asoutlined in"To Clean the
Generator"
• Check that cooling air slots and openings on generator
are open and unobstructed.
_ AUTION! Storage covers canbe flammable.
DO NOT place a storage cover over a hot
generator. Let the unit coot for a sufficient time
before placingthe cover on the unit.

See engine owner's manualfor instructions.
Other Storage Tips
• To prevent gum from forming in fuel system or on
essential carburetor parts, add fuel stabilizer into fuel
tank and fill with fresh gasoline. Run the unit for several
minutes to circulate the additive through the carburetor.
The unit and fuel can then be stored for up to
24 months. Fuel stabilizer can be purchased locally.
• DO NOT store gasoline from one season to another
unless it has been treated as described above.
• Replace fuel container if it starts to rust. Rust and/or dirt
in fuel can cause problems if it's used with this unit.
• Store unit in a clean and dry area.

familiaricese con su generador. Conozca sus usos,

Este generador funciona en base a un motor, de campo el_ctrico
giratorio y de corriente alterna (AC). Fue disefiado con la
finalidad de proveer energia el_ctrica para luces el_ctricas,
aparatos, herramientas compatibles y cargas de motor. El campo
giratorio del generador funciona a una velocidad de 3,6000 rpm
usando un motor con un solo cilindro.

MONTAJE
Sugenerador requiere de dertos procedimientos de montaje y
solo estar_ listo para ser utilizado despu_s de haberle
suministrado servicio con el combustible y aceite recomendados.
Si usted tiene problemas con el montaje de su generador, por

IMPORTANTE: Cualquier intento de encender el motor antes
de haber colocado el aceite recomendado resultar_ da_o del
motor,
Para Retirar el Generador de la Caja
Coloque la caja sobre una superficie planay rigida, con las
flechasque dicen "this side up" haciaarriba.
Abra con cuidado lastapas superiores de la cajade envio.
Corte de arriba a abajo las esquinasde uno de los lados de la
caja y coloque ese lado de la caja sobre el suelo.
Retire todo el material de empaque,relleno, etc.
Saque el generador de la cajade envfo.
Instale el Juego de Ruedas
IMPORTANTE: EsteJuegode Ruedasno ha sidodiseffado para
ser usado en la carretera.
Para instalarsuJuegode Ruedas,usted necesitar_ las siguientes
herramientas:
Dos cajasde 13rambox, extremo abierto, o Ilave de tubo.
Instale el Juego de Ruedas de la manera siguiente:
I. Coloque el fondo de la camilla del generadoren una
superficie plana.Temporalmente, coloque la unidad en
bloques para ensamblarla fdcilmente.
2. Deslice el eje a trav_s de ambos soportes de montaje, en el
marco de la camilla,como se muestra en la Figura I I.
3. Deslice una rueda en el eje.
NOTA: Aseg_rese de instalarambas ruedas con la v_lvula de aire
hacia el lado de afuera.
4. Coloque el e-ring en la ranura del eje.
5. Coloque un extremo de las pinzasde puntas de agujaen la
parte inferiordel eje y el otro extremo de laspinzasen la
parte superior del e-ring.Asiente el e-ring cerrando las
pinzas.

Agregar Aceite al Motor
CAUTION! Cualquier intento para arancar el motor antes de
haberle proporcionado el mantenimiento apropiado con el aceite
recomendado, podrta ocasionar la falla del motor.
Coloque la generador sobre una superficie nivelada.
Consulte el manual del propietario del motor para a_adir al
motor el aceite recomendado.
NOTA: El campo giratorio del generador se encuentra en un
cojinete pre-lubricado y sellado que no requiere lubricacibn
adicional por la vida _til del cojinete.
Agregue Gasolina
_L ADVERTENCIA! NUNCA Ilene el tanque delcombustible en recintos cerrados. NUNCA Ilene el tanque
del combustible cuando el motor est_ en funcionamiento
o caliente.NO encienda cigarrillos o fume cuando est_
Ilenando el tanque del combustible.

de combustible. Deje suficiente espacio para laexpansibn

Use gasolinaregular SIN CONTENIDO DE PLOMO en
el generador.NO usegasolina premium. NO mezcleaceite
con gasolina.
Limpie el _rea alrededor del Ilenado de gasolina;retire la tapa.
Llene lentamente el tanque con gasolinasin contenido de
plomo. Seacuidadoso de no Ilenar excesivamente. Deje
1.5" de espacio en el tanque para que la expansibn del
combustible, como se muestra en esta ilustracibn (Figura 12).
Instalela tapa del combustibley limpie cualquier derrame de
gasolina.
IMPORTANTE: Esimportante evitar la formacibn de depbsitos
de goma en las partes esencialesdel sistema de combustible
como en el carburador, filtro del combustible, manguera del
combustible o tanque, durante sualmacenamiento. Los
combustibles mezclados con alcohol (llamados gasohol,etanol o
metanol) pueden atraer la humedad,la cual produce la separacibn
y formacibn de _cidos durante el almacenamiento. Lagasolina
_cida puede da_ar el sistema de combustible de un motor
durante su almacenamiento.
Aseg_rese de revisar las precauciones dadasen
"AImacenamiento" en la p_gina32. NUNCA use productos para
limpiar motores o carburadores en el tanque del combustible; si

CONEXION ATIERRA DEL
GENERADOR
El C6digo Nacional de Electricidad exige que el marco y las
partes exteriores del generador conductoras de electricidad,
est_n conectadas atierra adecuadamente.Los cbdigos el_ctricos
locales tambi_n pueden exigir que la unidad est_ conectada a
tierra correctamente. Paratal propbsito, se ha instalado una
tuerca mariposa para conexibn a tierra en labasedel bastidor
(Figura 13).

Por Io general, laconexibn de un alambre de cobre trenzado No.
12AWG (AmericanWire Gauge)a la aleta de conexi6n a tierra y
a una barra de conexibn a tierra de cobre o bronce (electrodo)
proporciona unaproteccibn adecuadacontra lasdescargas
el_ctricas. Sin embargo,los c6digos locales pueden variar
substancialmente.Consulte con un electricista local para conocer
los requisitos de conexibn a tierra de sugrea.
La adecuada conexibn atierra del generador ayudaa evitar
descargasel_ctricas si se produce alguna fallaa tierra en el
generador o en los dispositivos el_ctricos conectados,
especialmente si el generador seequipa con un juego de la rueda.
Tambi_n ayudaa disipar la electricidad est_tica que, con
frecuencia, se genera en dispositivos sin conexi6n a tierra.
OPERANDO EL GENERADOR

Encienda el Motor
Desconecte todas las cargasel_ctricas del generador. Use las

NO conecte cargas de 240Voltios atomacorrientes de
120Voltios.
NO conecte cargastrif_sicas al generador.
NO conecte cargas de 50 Hz al generador.

Desconecte todas lascargas el_ctricas de los tomaco-rrientes

Operaci6n Durante un Clima Frio
Bajo ciertas condiciones ambientales (temperaturaspot debajo de

experimentar congelamiento del carburador y/o el sistema de

Construya una estructura que pueda cubrir los tres lados y la
parte superior del generador:
Aseg_rese que el lado del amortiguador del generador est_
expuesto.Aqui se muestra unaunidad tipica, su unidad puede

Viento _
Aseg6rese que existe un espacio minimo de dos pies entre el

Coloque la parte abierta fuera del viento y otros elementos.
La cobertura deberla aguantar el calor suficiente creado por

GENERADOR
Capacidad
Usted debe asegurarse que su generador puedeproveer el
suflciente vataie calificado (cuando est_ funcionando) y de carga
(al encender) para los aparatos a los cuales va a proveer la
energia,al mismo tiempo. Sigaestos pasos:
I. Seleccionelos aparatos que recibir_n la energia,al mismo
tiempo.
2. Totalice los ratios calificados (cuando est_ funcionando) de
estos aparatos. Esta esla cantidad de energfa que su
generador debe producir para mantener eso aparatos
funcionando adecuadamente.Veala Figura 20.
3. Calcule la cantidad de ratios de carga (al encender) que
usted necesitar_. Elvataie de carga esla cantidad minima de
electricidad, necesaria para encender herramientas o
aparatos con motores el_ctricos, tales como, sierras
circulares o refrigeradores. Debido a que no todos los
motores se encienden al mismo momento, el vataje total de
carga se puede estimar al ahadir solamente el(los) aparato(s)
con el vataje adicional m_salto, al total del vataje califlcado,
obtenido en el paso 2.

Control de la Energia
Para prolongar la vida de su generador y los aparatos que est_n
conectados al mismo, es muy importante cuidarlo cuando se le
ahadencargas el6ctricas. Nada deberia estar conectado a los
tomacorrientes del generador antes de que su motor sea
encendido. Laforma correcta y mgs segura para controlar la
energia delgenerador, esla de affadir en secuenciaslas cargas,
como sedescribe a continuaci6n:
I. Sin tener nada conectado al generador, encienda el motor de
la manera descrita en este manual.
2. Conecte y encienda la primera carga,preferiblemente la
mayor que usted tenga.
3. Permita que la salidadel generador se estabilice (el motor
funciona suavemente y el aparato conectado al mismo trabaja
adecuadamente).
4. Conecte y encienda la pr6xima carga.
5. De nuevo,permita que el generador se estabilice.
6. Repita los pasos4 y 5 para cada cargaadicional que usted
tenga.
NUNCA affadam_s cargassobre la capacidaddel generador.Tome

Mantenimiento del Generador
Elmantenimiento del generador consisteen conservar la unidad
limpia y seca.Opere y almacene la unidad en un ambiente limpio
y seco donde no ser_ expuesta al polvo, suciedad, humedado
vapores corrosivos. Las ranuras del aire de enfriamiento del
generador no deben estar tapadascon nieve,hojas,o cualquier
otro material extra6os. Revisefrecuentemente la limpieza del
generador y limpielo cuando est_ con polvo, sucio,con aceite,
humedad,o cuando otras substanciasextra6as sean visibles en su
superficie exterior.
NOTA: NO recomendamos el uso de manguerasde iardtn para
limpiar el generador. El aguapodrta introducirse en el sistema de
combustible del motor y causar problemas.Adem_s, si el aguase
introduce al generador a tray,s de lasranuras para aire de
enfriamiento, algo del aguaquedar_ retenida en los espacios
vactosy grietas del aislamiento del devanado del estator y rotor.
La acumulacibn de aguay suciedad en los devanados internos del
generador disminuir_ eventualmente la resistencia del aislamiento
de estos devanados.
Para Limpiar el Generador
Utilice un trapo h_medo para limpiar las superficies
exteriores.
Puede usar un cepillo de cerdas suavespara retirar la
sudedad endurecida,aceite, etc.
Puedeusar una m_quina aspiradora para eliminarsuciedad y
residuos sueltos.
Puede usaraire a baja presidn (que no exceda los 25 psi) para
eliminar lasuciedad, tnspeccione las ranuras para aire de
enfriamiento y la apertura del generado_ Estasaperturas
deber_n mantenerse limpias y despejadas.

ALMACENAMIENTO
E[generador deber_ ser encendido a[ menos una vez cada siete
dfas y deber_ deiarlo funcionar al menos durante 30 minutos. Si
no puede hacer esto y debe almacenar la unidad por m_s de
30 dias,sigalas siguientes instrucciones para preparar su unidad
para almacenamiento.
Almacenando el Generador
Limpie el generador como est_ descrito en ("Para Limpiar el
Generador").
Reviseque las ranuras para el aire de enfriamiento y las
aperturas del generador se encuentren abiertas y despeiadas.
_L iPRECAUCI_N! Lascubiertas para almacenamiento
pueden ser inflamables.NO coloque una cubierta encima
de un generador caliente. Deje que la unidad se enfrie Io
suficientemente antes de que le coloque la cubierta.

Otras Sugerencias Para el Almacenando
Para prevenir que se forme una resina en el sistema de
combustible o en partes esencialesdel carburador, vacie
estabilizadores del combustible, suministrados, en el tanque de
gasolinay Ilene con gasolina fresca.Haga funcionar la unidad
por algunos minutos para hacer circular el aditivo atrav6s del
carburador. La unidad y el combustible pueden ser
almacenadoshasta por 24 meses.Se puede comprar mgs
estabilizador del combustible, en sutienda local.
NO almacenegasolina de una estacibn a otra estaci0n,al
menos que haya sido tratada como se mencion6 antes.
Reemplacela canecade gasolina si comienza aoxidarse. El
6xido y/o la suciedad en la gasolina le causar_problemas.

Generac PortableProducts welcomeswarranty repair andapologizesto you for beinginconvenienced.AnyAuthorized Service Dealer mayperform
warranty repairs.Most warranty repairs are handled routinely,but sometimes requestsfor warranty service may not be appropriate. For example,
warranty would not apply if equipment damageoccurred becauseof misuse,lack of routine maintenance,shipping,handling,warehousing or improper
installation.Similarly,warranty isvoid if the serial number of the equipment hasbeen removed or the equipment hasbeen altered or modified.
If a customer differs with the decision of the Service Dealer, an investigationwill be made to determine whether the warranty applies.Ask the
Service Dealer to submit all supporting facts to its Distributor for review. If the Distributor decides that the claim isjustified, the customer will be
fully reimbursed for those items that are defective.To avoid misunderstandings that might occur between the customer and the Dealer,listed
below are some of the causes of equipment failure that the warranty does not cover:
Normal wear:
Outdoor Power Equipment,like all mechanical devices,needs periodic parts, service and replacement to perform well.This warranty
does not cover repair when normal use has exhausted the life of a part or the equipment.
Installation and Maintenance:
This warranty does not apply to equipment or parts that havebeen subjected to improper or unauthorizedinstallationor alteration,
misuse,negligence,accident, overloading, overspeeding, improper maintenance, repair or storage so as,in Generac Portable Products'
judgment,to adversely affect its performance and reliablity.This warranty alsodoes not cover normal maintenance such asadjustments,
fuel system cleaning andobstruction (due to chemical,dirt, carbon or lime, etc.).
Other Exclusions:
Also excluded from this warranty are wear items such asquick couplers, oil gauges,belts, o-rings, filters,pump packing,etc., pumps
which havebeen run without water supplied or damageor malfunctions resulting from accidents,abuse,modifications, alterations, or
improper servicing or freezing or chemical deterioration.
Warranty is available only through service dealers authorized by Generac Portable Products.This warranty does not apply to
service by any other entity.
