BATTERY INSTALLATION (SEE FIGURES BELOW)
Access the battery compartment on the rear of the unit by removing
the back cover. Press on the upper center part of the cover and slide it
down. Insert four (4) “AA” batteries (not included) following the polar-
ity diagram. When the last battery is inserted, the Battery Low LED will
flash and the Siren will chirp to indicate the batteries are installed
properly and 4-digit code can be set. Replace the battery compartment
cover. The Siren will chirp every 10-15 seconds when the batteries
need replacing. A.C. accessory SP550B can be used instead of
batteries. Output plug must be inserted into AC power plug, located
above in left upper corner of battery compartment.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries
as indicated in the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may
cause damage to the device.
3. Do not mix different type of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and
Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.
4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the
batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery
leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged;
they can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s
directions.)
6. Will not function properly if batteries are not maintained. Check
performance regularly.

NOTE: Not intended for use in exposed outdoor applications. Will not
operate properly if used in below freezing temperatures (32˚F) or damp
locations.
Will not operate properly if any metal barrier interferes with the space
between the magnetic contact and the alarm unit.
PROGRAMMING THE ALARM
The desired 4-digit code (which cannot be four identical numbers)
must be set immediately (within 5 seconds) after inserting the
batteries. To set the code, select your 4-digit access code, and simply
press the desired 4 digits on the keypad.
NOTE: The alarm must be reprogrammed with your personal code
every time the batteries are removed and replaced.
INSTALLATION
Place the unit in the desired location, preferable
next to the front or back door or a window. Install
the unit using the supplied larger screw (see figure
at right). Install the Magnetic Contact to the right
and approximately 1 1/4 inches below the top of
the alarm unit and flush with its edge using the
included double sided tape.
OPERATION
When leaving the protected area, press keypad
number 4. The Status LED will flash and the Siren
will chirp to indicate the unit is armed. There will
be a delay of 30 seconds to enable you to leave the
protected area before the alarm sounds. When
contact is broken, the alarm will sound for
approximately 60 seconds and reset for 15
seconds. If contact remains broken the alarm will continue to repeat
the cycle.
WARNING: THE ALARM SIREN IS VERY LOUD; PLEASE DO NOT
ALLOW IT TO SOUND FOR LONG LENGTHS OF TIME.
WARNING: NOT INTENDED FOR USE AS A RESIDENTIAL WATER
HAZARD ENTRANCE ALARM.
When returning to the protected area, simply press your personal
alarm code within 10 seconds. This will disarm the unit. The 10
seconds delay enables you to get to the alarm before it sounds.
NOTE: When the fourth digit of your code is entered, the Battery Low
LED will flash and the Siren will chirp to indicate the unit is disarmed.

INSTALACIÓN DE LAS PILAS (VEA LAS FIGURAS SIGUIENTES)
El acceso al compartimiento de las pilas se logra por la parte de atrás de
la unidad quitando la tapa trasera. Ejerza presión sobre la parte central
superior de la tapa y deslícela hacia abajo. Inserte cuatro (4) pilas “AA”
(no se incluyen) siguiendo el diagrama de polaridad. Cuando se inserta la
última pila, destellará el LED de baja de las pilas y la sirena emitirá un
pitido para indicar que las pilas están bien instaladas y se podrá fijar un
código de 4 dígitos. Vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimiento de las
pilas. La sirena emitirá un pitido cada 10-15 segundos cuando sea
necesario reemplazar las pilas. Se puede usar el accesorio de CA SP550B
en vez de pilas. El enchufe de salida debe introducirse en el enchufe de
CA, ubicado por encima de la esquina superior izquierda del
compartimiento de las pilas.
PRECAUCIOINES CON LAS PILAS
Siga estas precaucones cuando use pilas en este dispositivo:
1. Use sólo pilas del tamaño y tipo especificados.
2. Asegúrese de seguir la polaridad correcta al instalar las pilas según
se indica en el compartimiento. Las pilas cambiadas de posición
pueden dañar el dispositivo.
3. No mezcle diferentes tipos de pilas (por ejemplo alcalinas y carbón-
zinc) o pilas viejas con pilas nuevas.
4. Si no se va a usar el dispositivo durante un período largo, quite las
pilas para impedir daños o lesiones debido a posibles fugas de las
pilas.
5. No trate de recargar las pilas que no sean recargables, ya que se
pueden recalentar y estallar. (Siga las instrucciones del fabricante de
pilas).
6. No funcionará bien si no se efectúa el mantenimiento de las pilas.
Compruebe el rendimiento con regularidad.

NOTA: No es para aplicaciones exteriores al descubierto. No funcionará
debidamente si se usa a temperaturas inferiores a la congelación (32°F;
0°C) o en lugares húmedos.
No funcionará bien si hay una barrera de metal que interfiera con el
espacio entre el contacto magnético y la unidad de alarma.
PROGRAMACIÓN DE LA ALARMA
El código de 4 dígitos deseado (que no puede
ser cuatro números idénticos) debe fijarse
inmediatamente (en un plazo de 5 segundos)
después de insertar las pilas. Para fijar el código,
seleccione su código de acceso de 4 dígitos, y
simplemente pulse los cuatro dígitos deseados en el
teclado.
NOTA: La alarma debe volver a programarse con su
código personal cada vez que se quiten y
reemplacen las pilas.
INSTALACIÓN
Ponga la unidad en la posición deseada,
preferiblemente junto a la puerta o ventana delantera
o trasera. Instale la unidad usando el tornillo más
grande suministrado (vea la figura de la derecha).
Instale el contacto magnético a la derecha y
aproximadamente 3 cm por debajo de la parte
superior de la unidad de alarma y al ras con el borde usando la cinta
adhesiva por las dos caras incluida.
OPERACIÓN
Cuando salga del área protegida, pulse el número 4 del teclado
numérico. El LED de estado destellará y la sirena emitirá un pitido para
indicar que la unidad está armada. Habrá un retraso de 30 segundos para
poder salir del área protegida antes de que suene la alarma. Cuando se
rompa el contacto, la alarma sonará durante aproximadamente 60
segundos y se reajustará en 15 segundos. Si el contacto permanece roto,
la alarma seguirá repitiendo el ciclo.
ADVERTENCIA: LA SIRENA DE LA ALARMA TIENE UN VOLUMEN MUY ALTO.
NO DEJE QUE SUENE DURANTE MUCHO TIEMPO.
ADVERTENCIA: ESTA ALARMA DE ENTRADA PELIGROSA DE AGUA NO ESTÁ
DISEÑADAS PARA SER USADA EN APLICACIONES RESIDENCIALES.
Al volver al área protegida, pulse simplemente su código de alarma
personal en un plazo de 10 segundos. Esto desarmará la unidad. El
retraso de 10 segundos permite que llegue a la alarma antes de que
suene.
NOTA: Cuando se introduce el cuarto dígito del código, destellará el LED
de estado y la sirena emitirá un sonido para indicar que la unidad está
desarmada.
