Instructions
The SP520 Programmable Remote Control works with Intermatic Wireless Alarm Model SP210B.
LOCATION OF CONTROLS

BATTERY REPLACEMENT (SEE FIGURES BELOW)
1. Access the battery compartment on the front of the unit by removing the back cover. Press
on the upper center part of the cover and slide it down. Insert one (1) 12V 23 A battery
following the polarity diagram.
2. To maintain the proper battery polarity, duplicate existing battery placement in the battery
compartment.
3. Replace battery compartment cover.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing
the batteries as indicated in the battery
compartment. Reversed batteries may cause
damage of the device.
3. Do not mix different type of batteries together (e.g.
Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh
ones.
4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of
time, remove the batteries to preventdamage
or injury from possible battery leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be
recharged; they can overheat and rupture. (Follow
battery manufacturer’s directions.)
6. Will not function properly if batteries are not
maintained. Check performance regularly.
NOTE: Not intended for use in exposed outdoor
applications. Will not operate properly if used in
below freezing temperatures (32˚F) or damp
locations.
PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE CONTROL
1. Remove battery compartment cover of the remote
control unit SP520B.
2. Locate the Programmable Switch and set 4 switches
at the same positions as respective switches of the
Main Alarm Unit SP210B.
3. Replace battery compartment cover.
Arming Alarm
When leaving the protected area, point the Remote Control at the Motion Detector unit and
press the “ARM/DISARM” alternative action button. The Status LED of the Main Alarm Unit will
flash and the Siren will chirp to indicate the unit is armed. There will be a delay of 30 seconds
to enable you to leave the protected area before the alarm sounds. On the PROGRAMMABLE
REMOTE CONTROL the Status LED will light up for a brief period as an indication of proper
remote operation and battery power.
Disarming Alarm
When returning to the protected area, simply point the Remote Control at the Main Alarm
Unit and press the “DISARM” button. This will disarm the unit. The 10 seconds delay enables
you to get to the alarm before it sounds.
NOTE: When the “DISARM” button is pressed, the Status LED of the PROGRAMMABLE
REMOTE CONTROL will light up for a brief period as an indication of proper remote operation
and battery power. The Status LED of the Main Alarm Unit will stop to flash and the Siren will
stop to chirp to indicate the unit is disarmed.
Range of PROGRAMMABLE REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
The Programmable Remote Control has a 18 - foot range.
Care and Maintenance
To clean the unit housing use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and wipe dry. Do not
use chemical agents as this may damage and discolor the unit.

REEMPLAZO DE LAS PILAS (VEA LAS FIGURAS SIGUIENTES)

El acceso del compartimiento de las pilas tiene lugar por la parte delantera de la unidad
quitando la tapa trasera. Ejerza presión sobre la parte central superior de la tapa y deslícela
hacia abajo. Introduzca una (1) pila de 12 V y 23 A según la polaridad del diagrama.
2. Para mantener la polaridad apropiada de las pilas, duplique la colocación de las pilas
existentes en el compartimiento de las pilas.
3.
Vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimiento de las pilas.
PRECAUCIOINES CON LAS PILAS
Siga estas precaucones cuando use pilas en este dispositivo:
1. Use sólo pilas del tamaño y tipo especificados.
2.
Asegúrese de seguir la polaridad correcta al instalar las
pilas según se indica en el compartimiento. Las pilas
cambiadas de posición pueden dañar el dispositivo.
3.
No mezcle diferentes tipos de pilas (por ejemplo alcalinas y
carbón-zinc) o pilas viejas con pilas nuevas.
4. Si no se va a usar el dispositivo durante un período
largo, quite las pilas para impedir daños o lesiones
debido a posibles fugas de las pilas.
5. No trate de recargar las pilas que no sean recargables,
ya que se pueden recalentar y estallar. (Siga las
instrucciones del fabricante de pilas).
6.
No funcionará bien si no se efectúa el mantenimiento de
las pilas. Compruebe el rendimiento con regularidad.
NOTA: No es para aplicaciones exteriores al descubierto. No
funcionará debidamente si se usa a temperaturas inferiores a
la congelación (32°F; 0°C) o en lugares húmedos.
PROGRAMACIÓN DEL CONTROL REMOTO
1. Quite la tapa del compartimiento de las pilas de la
unidad de control remoto SP520B.
2. Localice el interruptor programable y ajuste los 4
interruptores en las mismas posiciones que los
interruptores respectivos de la unidad de alarma principal SP210B.
3.
Vuelva a poner la tapa del compartimiento de las pilas.
Armado de la alarma
Cuando salga del área protegida, apunte el control remoto a la unidad de detector de
movimiento y pulse el botón alternativo de “ARMAR/DESARMAR”.
El LED de estado de la
unidad de alarma principal destellará y la sirena emitirá un pitido para indicar que la unidad
está armada. Habrá un retraso de 30 segundos para poder salir del área protegida antes de
que suene la alarma. En el CONTROL REMOTO PROGRAMABLE se encenderá el LED de
estado durante un período breve como indicación de la operación apropiada del control remoto
y corriente de las pilas.
Desarmado de la alarma
Al volver al área protegida, apunte simplemente el control remoto a la unidad de alarma
principal y pulse el botón “DISARM”. Esto desarmará la unidad. El retraso de 10 segundos
permite que llegue a la alarma antes de que suene.
NOTA: Cuando se pulsa el botón “DISARM”, se encenderá el LED de estado del CONTROL
REMOTO PROGRAMABLE durante un período breve como indicación de la operación apropiada
del control remoto y corriente de las pilas. El LED de estado de la unidad de alarma principal
dejará de destellar y la sirena dejará de emitir sonidos para indicar que la unidad está desarmada.
Radio de acción de la OPERACIÓN DE CONTROL REMOTO PROGRAMABLE
El control remoto programable tiene un radio de acción de 18 pies (5,4 m).
Cuidado y mantenimiento
Para limpiar la caja de la unidad, use un paño suave ligeramente humedecido con agua y limpie hasta
secar. No use agentes químicos, ya que esto puede dañar y hacer perder el color a la unidad.
