Maintenance

FUSE REPLACEMENT

If the fuse blows, check the power connecton and replace the fuse. If the fuse blows again after the

replacement, there may be an internal malfunction. In this case, consult your nearest repairing center.

Warning

Use the specified amperage fuse for each lead. Use of a higher amperage fuse may cause serious

damage.

INSTALLATION

PRECAUTIONS

• Choose the mounting location carefully so that the unit will not interfere with the

normal driving functions of the driver.

• Avoid installing the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures, such as from

direct sunlight or hot air from the heater, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or

excessive vibration.

• Use only the supplied mounting hardware for a safe and secure installation.

• Be sure to remove the front panel before installing the unit.

NOTE: Inclination angle for car radio installation must not exceed

30° otherwise the front panel will not open.

Note: Keep the release key in the safe place as you may need it in future to remove the

unit from the car.

TO SUPPORT THE UNIT

Detaching and attaching the front panel

The front panel of this unit can be detached in order to prevent the unit from being stolen.

FOLDING DOWN AND DETACHING/ATTACHING THE FRONT PANEL

Before detaching the front panel, be sure to press the PWR button (1) OFF first.

Then press the REL button (14), let the Front Panel arrive in horizontal position and detach

the panel by pulling it towards you as illustrated.

Notes:

• Do not press the front panel hard against the unit when attaching it. It can be easily attached

by pressing it lightly against the unit.

• When you carry the front panel with you, put it in the supplied front panel case.

Do not press hard or give excessive pressure to the display window of the front panel

when attaching it to the unit.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. POWER ON/OFF

Insert the front panel in the unit and push Power button in order to switch on the unit. Push button

newly in order to switch off the unit and push REL button (15) to release the front panel.

Note: Never release the front panel when the unit is on. Power remains on even when car radio is off.

3. VOLUME UP/DOWN

Turing the VOL knob to right or left (3) to control the VOLUME. To select other functions, press the SEL (2)

button shortly until the desired functions is shown on the display. Figure 1 shows how control functions are

selected using the SEL button.

These buttons can be used to adjust the BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE and FADER.

AUDIO DSP CONTROLS (2)

When press the SEL button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as selecting mode of these function.

DSP can be selected by turing the VOL knob to right or left (3)

POP M---ROCK M---CLASS---FLAT M---DSP OFF

BEEP MODE (2)

When press the SEL button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as selecting mode of these function.

BEEP ON: BEEP sound can be heard from speaker when the buttons are pressed.

SEEK MODE (2)

When press the SEL button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as selecting mode of these function.

SEEK 1: When SEEK 1 mode is activated, AUTO SEEK SCAN is stopped when station is

detected even user still push SEEK button.

SEEK 2: Auto SEEK SCAN is not stopped even station is detected if user push SEEK button.

When release this SEEK button, then stop when station is defected.

VOL LAST/ADJUST (2)

When press the SEL button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as selecting mode of these function.

VOL LAST: The volume level which user adjust lately is selected whenever power is ON and OFF.

VOL ADJ: The initial volume level (user can adjust) is selected whenever power is ON and OFF

4. PRESET STATIONS (1,2,3,4,5,6)

(A) RADIO MODE:

1. Press BAND to select the desired band, FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, Am2.

2. Tune in the desired station by using Automatic Tuning or Manual Tuning.

3. Keep the desired preset number buttons (4) pressed until the radio bleeps (2 seconds).

4. Repeat this step for each station.

TO RECALL A PRESET STATION

1. Press BND to select the desired band FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, Am2.

2. Press the desired preset number button, shortly.

N.B. The previously memorized station will be eased when:

You enter a new station from the same band on the same number preset button.

(B) CD PLAYER MODE:

1. PAUSE 2. INTRO 3. REPEAT 4. RANDOM

5. STEREO/MONO Selector

When FM stations are weak and are disturbed, listening can be improved by selecting MONO.

Press the button once, reception will then be in MONO. Repress to go back to FM-stereo

mode, “ST” appears on the display.

6. LOUDNESS CONTROL

Press this button to operate. The bass and treble response will be boosted. Push this button

again to return the player to its normal operation. This function is useful when listening at low

levels. The loudness control will boost the bass and treble response thus giving a more lively

performance.

While this function is operating, the display shows “LOUD”.

7. LOCAL/DISTANT Button

Press this button to select “Local” position in areas with strong signals to let radio stop at only

strong stations during manual tuning (LOC appears). Press to Distant position in areas with

weak signals to listen to all stations.

8. DISPLAY (DISP)

Press this button to show time.

By pressing this key, user can select.

RADIO mode, CD PLAYER or LINE IN mode.

10. BAND BUTTON (BAND)

Each band is toggled cyclically by pressing this key FM1---FM2---FM3---AM1---AM2.

11. AUTOMATIC OR MANUAL TUNING (FREQ UP OR FREQ DOWN )

(A) RADIO MODE

When pressed short, these keys are operated as MANUAL tuning mode.

When pressed longer than 1 sec., they are operated as SEEK tuning mode.

(B) CD PLAYER MODE

When pressed short, they are operated as TRACK UP or TRACK DOWN mode.

When pressed longer than 1 sec., they are operated as CUE or REVIEW mode.

12. AUTO SEEK SEARCH TUNING (AS/PS)

By pressing shortly, the radio searches for each preset station.

When field strength level is bigger than the threshold level of stop level, the radio is holding at

that preset number for 5 sec. with releasing mute, and than searches again.

By pressing longer than 1 sec, and then 6 strongest stations are preset to the corresponding

preset number. When AS operation is finished, the radio executes the preset scan.

13. “SCAN” AUTOMATIC TUNING CONTROL (SCN)

This key is operated as RADIO SCAN

The operation is similar as normal search but different thing is holding 5 seconds on every station detected

in RADIO SCAN mode.

14. LCD DISPLAY

The Liquid Crystal Display will display the current state of the unit.

11. TRACK/SEARCH BUTTON

FORWARD AND REVERSE TRACK SEARCH (or changing songs)

Press the SKIP button ( or ) during play to go to the desired track(song).

....REVERSE ....FORWARD

Press and hold the SKIP button ( or ) during play to scan the disc at high speed. When the

desired music section of the disc is found, release the button. Normal play will resume. When CD play

is finished, CD mode automatically changes to radio mode.

16. CD SLOT

17. CD EJECT BUTTON

Press the EJECT button to remove the CD.

18. PAUSE BUTTON

During “PLAY”, press (18) ‘PAU’ button to “PAUSE”. Press it again to resume play.

19. INTRO BUTTON (Preview all Tracks)

When this button is pressed, ‘INT ON’ indication is displayed and the first several seconds of each track

of the disc are played. Press again to stop intro and listen to track.

20. REPEAT BUTTON 'RPT’

When this button is pressed, ‘RPT’ indication is displayed and play of the selected track will be continually

repeated until the Track repeat mode is cancelled by pressing ‘RPT’ button again.

21. RANDOM BUTTON 'RDM’

When this button is pressed, ‘RDM’ indication is displayed and each track of the disc are

played in random instead of normal progression. To cancel RANDOM mode, press ‘RDM’ button (21)

again.

22, 23. 10 TRACK UP/DOWN SELECT: (In case of MP3 files)

M5: 10 Track down / M6: 10 Track up

HOW TO SELECT MP3 FILES

1. Searching Track:

• Press “A/PS”, then searching track is activated.

• Press “SEL”, then the first digit is blinking.

• With “ / ”knob, select first digit you want.

• Press ‘SEL’, then the first digit is fixed and second digit is blinking.

• With “ / ” knob, select 2’nd 3’rd respectively

• Then automatically the song you selected will start.

2. Searching File Name:

• Press ‘A/PS’ twice, then file search is activated.

• Press ‘SEL’, then the first directory is displayed.

• With “ / ” knob, you can select the directory you want.

• Press ‘SEL’ again, then the directory is fixed and the first file name is displayed.

• With “ / ”knob, you can select the file you want.

• Press ‘SEL’, then the song you selected will start.

3. Searching Character:

• Press “A/PS” 3 times, then character search mode is activated.

• Press enter “SEL” button, then “A” character is displayed.

• With “ / ” knob, you can select the letter you want.

• Press enter “SEL” key longer than 2 secretary.

• The song which has same character you selected is displayed.

• With “ / ” knob, you can select the song you want.

• Press enter “SEL” key, then the song you selected will start.

RESET

Reset button (24) is placed on the housing.

The reset button is to be activated for the following reason:

• Initial installation of the unit when all wiring is completed.

• All the function button do not operated.

• Error symbol on the display

MANTENIMIENTO

REMPLAZO DE FUSIBLE

Si el fusible se quema, reivise la instalación eléctrica y remplace el fusible. Si el nuevo fusible vuelve a quemarse,

podría haber una falla interna y deberá consultar al servicio técnico.

CUIDADO

Use fusibles con el amperaje adecuado par cada cable. Usar fusibles con un amperaje mayor al requerido puede

ocasinar da.os graves.

INSTALACIÓN

ADVERTENCIAS

• Escoja un lugar apropiado para la instalación del equipo, cuidando de que este no interfiera con la

conducción del vehículo.

• No instale el equipo donde quede expuesto a altas temperaturas, como la luz del sol o la salida de aire

caliente de la calefacción, asícomo lugares donde quede expuesto al polvo, suciedad o fuertes vibraciones.

• Use solamente las piezas suministradas para que la instalación sea adecuada y segura.

• Asegúrese de haber quitado el panel frontal antes de instalar la unidad.

NOTA: El ángulo de inclinación para la instalación del equipo no debe exceder los 30°, caso contrario el panel

frontal no se abrirá.

NOTA: Guarde la llave para desmontar el equipo en un lugar seguro por si en el futuro necesita desinstalarlo

del automóvil.

SOPORTE DEL EQUIPO

PANEL FRONTAL REMOVIBLE

El panel frontal de este equipo puede ser removido para evitar robos.

DESPLEGAR Y QUITAR O COLOCAR EL PANEL FRONTAL

Asegúrese de oprimir el botón PWR (1) para apagar la unidad antes de quitar el panel frontal.

Presione a continuación el botón REL (14) y deje que el panel quede en posición horizontal para luego

sacarlo tirando hacia fuera tal como se muestra en la ilustración.

NOTAS:

• No haga fuerza para colocar el panel frontal. Este puede ser colocado presionándolo con suavidad

hacia el equipo.

• Use la caja incluida con el equipo para guardar el panel frontal cuando lo lleve consigo.

• No haga presión sobre la pantalla del panel frontal cuando lo esté colocando en la unidad.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO

1. ENCENDIDO/APAGADO

Coloque el panel frontal y oprima el botón de encendido para encender el equipo. Vuelva a presionar este

botón ( ) para apagar el equipo y el botón REL (15) para quitar el panel frontal.

NOTA: Nunca quite el panel frontal mientras el equipo estéen funcionamiento. El equipo continuará

recibiendo energía aún cuando la radio esté apagada.

2. SELECT (SELECCIONAR)

3. SUBIR / BAJAR VOLUMEN

Gire la perilla del control de volumen (3) hacia la izquierda o la derecha para controlar el volumen. Para

seleccionar otras funciones presione varias veces el botón SEL (2) hasta que la función que desee

aparezca en la pantalla. La figura 1 muestra cómo cambian las funciones con cada pulsación del botón SEL.

Use estos botones para ajustar los bajos, agudos, el balance y la intensidad.

EFECTOS DE AUDIO DSP (2)

Al presionar el botón SEL por más de dos segundos, activará la confguración para esta función.

Puede elegir un modo DSP girando la perilla de volumen (3) a la izquierda o la derecha.

POP M ROCK M CLASICA PLANA M DSP DESACTIVADO

BEEP

Al presionar el botón SEL por más de dos segundos, activará la confguración para esta función.

BEEP ON: Escucharáun sonido “bip” cada vez que presione un botón.

BÚSQUEDA (SEEK) (2)

Al presionar el botón SEL por más de dos segundos, activará la confguración para esta función.

SEEK 1: Al activar el modo SEEK 1, la búsqueda automática de radioemisora se detendrá al captar una

se.al, aún cuando el usuario continúe presionando el botón SEEK.

SEEK 2: La búsqueda automática de radioemisoras no se detendrá al captar una se.al en tanto el

usuario mantenga presionado dicho botón. La búsqueda se detendrá al liberar el botón SEEK.

ÚLTIMO NIVEL DE VOLUMEN / AJUSTAR VOLUMEN

Al presionar el botón SEL por más de dos segundos, activará la confguración para esta función.

VOL LAST: El nivel de volumen se ajustará al último nivel seleccionado por el usuario, tanto si el equipo está

encendido o apagado.

VOL ADJ: El nivel inicial de volumen será seleccionado, tanto si el equipo está encendido o apagado (puede

ajustarse).

4. ESTACIONES PREDEFINIDAS (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

(A) MODO DE RADIO:

1. Presione el botón BAND para elegir una banda (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2).

2. Sintonice una radioemisora usando el sintonizador automático o el sintonizador manual.

3. Mantenga presionado uno de los botones numéricos (4) hasta que el equipo emita un pitido (2

segundos).

4. Repita los pasos anteriores para programar las demás estaciones.

PARA LLAMAR UNA ESTACIÓN PREDEFINIDA

1. Presione el botón BND para elegir una banda (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, Am2).

2. Oprima el botón numérico de una estación predefinida.

NOTA: Las estaciones predefinidas serán borradas de la memoria cuando programe otra estación

en la misma posición.

5. SELECTOR ESTÉREO / MONO

Si la señal de una emisora FM es débil o tiene interferencia, seleccione el modo MONO para mejorar la

recepcción.

Al presionar una vez este botón el modo de recepción cambiará a MONO. Al presionarlo nuevamente

volveráal modo FM estéreo. La indicación “ST” aparecerá en la pantalla.

6. REFORZAMIENTO DE SONIDO

Al presionar este botón los sonidos graves y agudos serán reforzados. Vulva a presionar este botón

para volver al modo normal. Esta función es útil cuando está escuchando a un nivel bajo. Al reforzarse

los sonidos graves y agudos obtendrá un sonido más intenso.

Cuand esta función está activada, la indicación “LOUD” aparece en la pantalla.

7. LOCAL / DISTANTE

Presione este botón para seleccionar el modo “Local” en áreas donde la se.a de radio sea fuerte, de tal

coloca el botón en la posición Distante enáreas donde la se.al sea débil, podrá sintonizar todas las

estaciones.

8. DISPLAY (DISP)

Presione este botón para que se muestre la hora.

Para configurar la hora:

Mantenga presionado el botón DISP (14) hasata que la pantalla comience a parpadear. Cambie las

horas con el botón y los minutos con el botón .

9. BOTÓN MODE

Al presionar este botón podrá elegir entre las funciones RADIO, REPRODUCTOR DE CD o ENTRADA

DE LÍNEA.

10. BANDA (BAND)

Tras cada pulsación del botón BAND, cambiará de banda cíclicamente en el siguiente orden: FM1

FM2 FM3 AM1 Am2.

11. SINTONIZADOR MANUAL O AUTOMÁTICO

SUBIR FRECUENCIA ( ) BAJAR FRECUENCIA( ).

(A) MODO RADIO

Al presionar momentaneamente estos botones podrá usar el modo de sintonización manual.

Al presionarlos durante más de 1 segundo, activará la búsqueda automática de radioemisoras.

(B) MODO REPRODUCTOR DE CD

Al presionar momentaneamente estos botones podrá saltar a la anterior o a la siguiente pista.

Al presionarlo durante más de 1 segundo podrá retroceder o avanzar la pista.

12. BÚSQUEDA / SINTONIZACIÓN AUTOMÁTICA (AS/PS)

Al presionar momentaneamente este botón la radio irá cambiando de una a otra emisora predefinida.

Una vez activa la función, la radio se detendrá durante 5 segundos en las frecuencias cuya se.al esté lo

suficientemente fuerte, y luego seguirá buscando.

Si se presiona el botón por mas de un segundo. La unidad automáticamente memorizará las 6

frecuencias más fuertes consecutivamente.

13. CONTROL DE SINTONÍA AUTOMÁTICA (SCN)

Este botón funciona como un buscador de radioemisoras.

Su funcionamiento es similar al modo normal de búsqueda, pero se diferencia en que la búsqueda se

detendrá durante 5 segundos en cada estación sintonizada en el modo RADIO SCAN.

14. PANTALLA LCD

La pantalla de cristal líquido LCD muestra información sobre el estado actual del equipo.

11. SALTO / BÚSQUEDA DE PISTAS

BÚSQUEDA HACIA DELANTE Y ATRÁS

Oprima los botones de salto ( o ) durante la reproducción para cambiar a la pista que desee.

: RETROCEDER : AVANZAR

Al mantener presionado los botones de salto ( o ) durante la reproducción, podrá buscar un pasaje

del disco a alta velocidad. Una vez localizado el pasaje que está buscando, libere el botón para volver

al modo normal de reproducción.

Una vez reproducido el disco completo, el equipo cambiará al modo radio de manera automática.

16. RANURA DEL CD

17. EXPULSAR CD

Presione este botón para sacar el CD de la ranura.

18. PAUSA

Presione el botón PAU (18) para pausar la reproducción y vuelva a presionarlo para reanudarla.

19. INTRO (Introducciones de las pistas)

Al presionar este botón los primeros segundos de cada pista serán reproducidos y la indicación “INT

ON” aparecerá en la pantalla. Para escuchar la pista completa, vuelva a presionar el mismo botón.

20. REPETIR (RPT)

Al presionar este botón la pista seleccionada se repetirá continuamente y la indicación “RPT” aparecerá

en la pantalla. Para cancelar las repeticiones vuelva a presionar este botón.

21. BOTÓN RANDOM (RDM)

Al presionar este botón todas las pistas del disco serán reproducidas en orden aleatorio y la indicación

“RDM” aparecerá en la pantalla. Para cancelar esta función vuelva a presionar el botón RDM (21).

22, 23 SUBIR/BAJAR 10 PISTAS (sólo MP3)

M5: Bajar 10 pistas / M6: Subir 10 pistas

CÓMO ELEGIR ARCHIVOS MP3

1. Busqueda de pistas:

• Presione el botón A/PS para activar el modo de búsqueda

• Presione el botón SEL y el primer dígito empezará a parpadear

• Introduzca el primer dígito usando la perilla “ / ”

• Una vez introducido el primer dígito presione el botón SEL para que el segundo dígito empiece a

• Introduzca el segundo dígito usando la perilla “ / ”

• La pista elegida empezará a reproducirse

2. Búsqueda de archivos por nombre:

• Presione dos veces el botón A/PS para activar el modo de búsqueda

• Presione el botón SEL para que el primer directorio sea mostrado

• Use los botones “ / ” para seleccionar un directorio

• Vuelva a presionar el botón SEL para bloquear el directorio y ver el nombre del primer archivo

• Use los botones “ / ” para seleccionar un archivo

• Presione el botón SEL para iniciar la reproducción de la pista elegida

3. Búsqueda por caracteres:

• Presione tres veces el botón A/PS para activar el modo de búsqueda

• Al presionar el botón SEL el primer carácter será mostrado

• Use los botones “ / ” para seleccionar una letra

• Presione el botón SEL por más de dos segundos

• Los archivos que empiecen con la letra que eligió serán mostrados

• Use los botones “ / ” para seleccionar un archivo

• Presione el botón SEL para iniciar la reproducción de la pista elegida

RESET

El botón RESET (24) está ubicado en el cuerpo del equipo

Este botón debe ser usado por las siguientes razones:

• Al instalar la unidad una vez que todo el cableado haya sido completado

• Cuando los botones del equipo no respondan

• Cuando el símbolo de error aparezca en la pantalla
