► Leaking chemicals from a battery can cause
skin irritation. If it comes in contact with your
skin, rinse with plenty of water. If the chemi-
cals come into contact with your eyes, rinse
thoroughly with water, do not rub and consult
a physician immediately.
► Do not mix different types of batteries.
► Always insert the batteries the right way (ob-
serve correct polarity) otherwise there is a risk
that they could explode.
► Always replace the whole set of batteries at
one time, taking care not to mix old and new
ones.
► Remove discharged batteries from equipment
promptly to avoid possible damage from
leakage.
► If you do not intend to use the appliance for a
long time, remove the batteries.
► Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Children might put batteries into their mouth
and swallow them. If a battery has been swal-
lowed, seek medical assistance immediately.

This appliance is intended exclusively for combing human
hair and massaging the scalp. This appliance is intended
solely for use in private households. Do not use it for
commercial applications. All other uses are deemed to
be improper and may result in damage to property or

Preparations
Removing/attaching brush pads
You will have to remove the brush pad 6 to insert batte-
ries 5 or to clean the brush pad 6.
1) To remove the brush pad 6 press the release 3
towards and retain it in this position.
2) At the same time, pull the brush pad 6 upwards on
the side where the release 3 is located.
3) You can now completely remove the brush pad 6.
4) To replace the brush pad 6 again, press both catch-
es 7 into the recesses on the hand unit 2.
5) After this, press the other side down so that the catch
8 engages. The release 3 must then be in the
position.

Inserting batteries
The battery compartment 4 is underneath the brush
pad 6.
1) Remove the brush pad 6 as described in chapter
“Removing/attaching brush pads”.
2) Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries 5 of type AAA in the bat-
tery compartment 4. Ensure the polarity is correct.
3) Insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries 5 of type AAA in the
battery compartment 4. Ensure the polarity is
correct.
Use
The hairbrush has been fitted with an ion function:
When combing hair, the friction caused by a normal
hairbrush can statically charge the hairs, which begin
to “fly”. The ion function assists that this charging of the
hair is almost neutralised and cancelled.
1) Press the ion activator 9 to position I. The
indicator lamp 1 illuminates to show that the ion
function has been activated.
You might hear a slight hissing sound when the ion func-
tion is activated. This is normal and not a malfunction of
the appliance.

2) Comb the hair from the roots towards the tips.
If the hair is still slightly moist, the ion function assists
in straightening frizzy hair.
If the hair is dry, the ion function prevents the hair
from becoming statically charged.
3) When you have finished combing your hair, set the
ion activator 9 to position O. The indicator
lamp 1 goes out.
Cleaning and care
► Do not use abrasive, chemical or caustic cleaning
agents to clean this appliance. This will irreparably
damage the appliance.
■ Remove as much hair as possible from the brush after
every use.
■ To clean the appliance thoroughly, remove the brush
pad 6 from the appliance (see chapter Removing/
attaching brush pads):
–Clean the brush pad 6 under running water. If
necessary, use a toothbrush to help cleaning be-
tween the bristles.
If soiling is stubborn, e.g. residues from hair styling
product, apply a mild detergent to the toothbrush.
–Rinse off any remaining detergent under running
water.

■ Wipe the hand unit 2 with a damp cloth. Add a
little mild detergent to the cloth to remove stubborn
dirt. Wipe off any detergent residues using a cloth
moistened with clean water.
■ Dry all parts thoroughly and make sure that all parts
are completely dry before you attach the brush pad
6 back to the hand unit 2.
Storage
■ Store the appliance in a clean, dust-free and dry
location.

Disposal
Electrical devices may not be thrown away as part of
normal household trash. If you can no longer use your
electrical device, dispose of it in accordance with the
legal provisions applicable in your state.
This will allow you to ensure that old electrical devices
are recycled and environmental pollution is kept to a mini-

on the Internet at www.epa.gov.

What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or fail-
ure to follow the safety and maintenance instructions

What is not covered by the warranty?

Normal wear and tear of the product, including

Preparativos
Remoción y colocación de las almohadillas
del cepillo
Debe retirar la almohadilla del cepillo 6 para insertar las
baterías 5 o para limpiar la almohadilla del cepillo 6.
1) Para retirar la almohadilla del cepillo 6 presione el
liberador 3 hacia y manténgalo en esta posición.
2) Al mismo tiempo, jale la almohadilla del cepillo 6
hacia arriba en el lado donde se encuentra el libe-
rador 3.
3) Ahora puede retirar completamente la almohadilla
del cepillo 6.

Uso
El cepillo para cabello está equipado con una función
de iones: Al peinar el cabello, la fricción que causa un
cepillo normal para el cabello puede producir carga
estática del cabello, el cual comienza a "volar". La
función iónica ayuda a que esta carga del cabello casi
se neutralice y se cancele.
1) Presione el activador iónico 9 hacia la posi-
ción I. La lámpara indicadora 1 se ilumina para
mostrar que la función iónica está activada.
Usted podrá escuchar un ligero siseo cuando se activa
la función iónica. Esto es normal y no es una falla de
funcionamiento del dispositivo.
2) Peine el cabello desde la raíz hasta las puntas.
Si el cabello aún está un poco húmedo, la función
iónica ayuda a enderezar el cabello crespo.
Si el cabello está seco, la función iónica previene
que el cabello reciba carga estática.
3) Cuando termine de peinarse, coloque el activador

Limpieza y cuidado
► No use agentes de limpieza abrasivos, químicos o
cáusticos para limpiar este dispositivo. Esto dañará

■ Retire todo el cabello que sea posible del cepillo
después de cada uso.
■ Para limpiar el dispositivo completamente, retire la

Declaración de conformidad de la FCC

Lo que cubre la presente garantía
La garantía incluye:
Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad para funcionar
debido a defectos.
Daños que no hayan sido causados por el desgaste
propio del uso o por no seguir las instrucciones de
seguridad y mantención incluidas en el manual para
el usuario.

Lo que no cubre esta garantía
La garantía no cubre daños causados por:
El desgaste propio del uso del producto, incluidas
las partes frágiles (como interruptores, piezas de
vidrio, etc.).
Uso o transporte no indicado del producto.
Desatención a las instrucciones de seguridad y
mantención.
Accidentes o causas de fuerza mayor (e.g. relámpa-
gos, incendio, inundación, etc.).
Manipulación mal intencionada del producto (retirar
la cubierta, tornillos, etc.).
La presente garantía tampoco cubre daños indirectos o
emergentes. Sin embargo algunos estados no permiten
la exclusión o limitación de daños indirectos o emergen-
tes, por lo que dicha exclusión o limitación pudiera no
aplicarse en su caso.
Período de cobertura y resolución de la
garantía
La garantía es válida por 3 años a partir de la fecha
de compra. La empresa, según lo estime conveniente,
devolverá el dinero o repondrá el producto.

Dará inicio a un nuevo período de garantía al hacerse
