When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to

5. Always unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow all parts to
cool down completely before disassembling the appliance and before cleaning.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or countertop or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place toaster on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
11. Do not use this toaster for other than its intended use.
12. Oversize foods, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted into the toaster,
as they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock.
13. A fire may occur if the toaster is covered or touched with flammable materials, such
as curtains, draperies or walls when in operation. Do not operate under wall
cabinets.
14. Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is plugged into electrical outlet.
15. To avoid possibility of fire, do not leave toaster unattended during use.
16. Do not place paper, cardboard, plastic and the like in the toaster.
17. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To
disconnect, turn all controls OFF before removing the plug from the electrical outlet.
18. Do not attempt to move the product while it is in operation.
19. Some countertop and table surfaces, such as Corian®, wood and/or laminates, are
not designed to withstand prolonged heat generated by certain appliances. It is
recommended by countertop manufacturers that a hot pad or trivet be placed
under your appliance to prevent possible damage to the surface.

SHORT CORD PURPOSE
NOTE: A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used: (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the product; (2) the extension cord should
be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can
unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by children or pets.
POLARIZED PLUG
If this appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other),
please follow the below instructions:
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet
only one way. If you are unable to fit the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the
plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with
an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the extension cord. Do not
alter the plug of the product or any extension cord being used with this product. Do not
attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION
DUAL LONG TOAST SLOTS: Long toast slots to give you versatility by
accommodating a wide variety of breads.
POP-UP LEVER: Makes it easier to remove even the smallest items. Initiates the
toasting process when pushed down and locked in position.
BROWNING CONTROL: Features six browning levels for toasting.
DEFROST BUTTON: Defrosts and toasts frozen bread. (LED will light up red when
selected.)
REHEAT BUTTON: Reheats without browning or toasting. (LED will light up red when
selected.)
CANCEL BUTTON: Stops the toasting process - *Note: the cancel button LED will light
up once the pop-up lever is pushed down and will remain lit until the toasting cycle
is finished.
SLIDE-OUT CRUMB TRAY: Easy to clean removable tray located on the bottom of the
side opposite to all of the toasting controls.

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Carefully unpack the product and remove all packaging materials. Clean the toaster
before using for the first time. Wipe the toaster’s exterior with a clean, damp cloth.
Remove and clean the crumb tray.
2. DRY ALL PARTS THOROUGHLY BEFORE OPERATING THE TOASTER. (See “CLEANING
AND MAINTENANCE” section for more instructions.)
3. Do not use any abrasive detergents, soaps, or cleaning materials to clean the
toaster.
4. NEVER immerse the toaster or power cord in water or any other liquid.
5. During the first few minutes of initial use you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor.
This is normal and should disappear with subsequent use.
HOW TO USE YOUR TOASTER
Ensure that the crumb tray is always in place before using the toaster. Do not force foods
into the toaster, foods should easily and freely fit into the toast slots. Always be sure not
to place multiple slices in one toast slot; and, that the carriage inside the toast slot is up,
before placing any food items inside.
NOTE: The “CANCEL” button can be used at any point of the toasting cycle to interrupt the
toasting process.

HOW TO USE YOUR TOASTER (cont.)
DEFROST SETTING:
Uses a slightly longer toasting cycle to prepare your favorite frozen pastries.
1. Insert the frozen items into the toast slots.
2. Set the browning control:

4. Press the “DEFROST” button. The indicator will light up.

6. Unplug the toaster when done.

Reheat bread, waffles, bagels, etc. without toasting the items.

5. When finished, the items will pop up from the toaster.

TIPS:
Differences in toasting times depend on the moisture level of each item being
toasted.
Extra thick bread may require two cycles.
When toasting items with pieces of fruit (i.e. cinnamon raisin bagels), remove any
loose pieces of fruit so that they don’t fall into and get stuck inside of the toaster.
CAUTION: DO NOT PLACE BUTTERED BREADS, BREADS OR ITEMS WITH A LOT OF SUGAR,
OR PASTRIES WITH FILLINGS OR FROSTINGS IN THIS TOASTER;DOING SO MAY CREATE A
FIRE HAZARD.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Be sure the toaster is unplugged from the electrical outlet and that it has completely
cooled before cleaning.
2. Wipe the toaster exterior with a clean, damp, soapy cloth. Do not use abrasive
cleansers or cleaning materials.
3. DRY THOROUGHLY BEFORE REASSEMBLING FOR USE OR FOR STORAGE.
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE THE TOASTER OR PLUG IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
TO REMOVE THE CRUMB TRAY:
NOTE: Toaster must be completely cool and not in operation or plugged into an electrical
outlet before cleaning or removing the crumb tray.
1. Hold the toaster in the upright position; pull the crumb tray out from the side
opposite of the toasting controls by sliding it out and away from the toaster bottom
(Fig 1).
2. Empty the crumbs over a garbage can or sink as crumbs will fall upon release of the
tray.
3. To replace crumb tray, slide back into toaster. A click will sound when the tray has
locked into place properly.
4. It is recommended to clean the crumb tray regularly.
REMOVING LODGED TOAST:
If a piece of toast becomes lodged in the toaster, unplug the toaster and allow it to cool.
Turn the toaster upside down, and shake whatever is stuck loose.
CAUTION: NEVER USE A FORK OR SHARP-EDGED UTENSIL TO REMOVE TOAST OR TRY TO
REMOVE ANYTHING THAT IS STUCK INSIDE THE TOASTER WHILE IT IS IN OPERATION OR
PLUGGED IN. DOING SO MAY DAMAGE THE HEATING ELEMENT AND CAUSE SEVERE
PERSONAL INJURY.

WARRANTY IS ONLY VALID WITH A DATED PROOF OF PURCHASE
PLEASE DO NOT RETURN TO STORE OF PURCHASE.
If you have any problems with this unit, contact Customer Service for support.
1. Your small kitchen appliance is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from any
manufacturing defects under normal use and conditions for one (1) year, cord excluded. This
Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product.
2. Retail stores/merchants selling this product do not have the right to alter, modify, or in any
way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
3. If you use your appliance for household use and according to instructions, it should give you
years of satisfactory service.
4. At its sole discretion, Maxi-Matic USA will either repair or replace the product found to be
defective during the warranty period.
5. The repaired or replacement product will be in warranty for the remaining balance of the
one-year warranty period and an additional one-month period.
6. Consumer’s remorse is not an acceptable reason to return a product to our Service Center.
7. This limited warranty covers appliances purchased and used within the 50 U.S. states plus the
District of Columbia and does NOT cover normal wear of parts or:
- Damages caused by unreasonable use, neglect, normal wear and tear, commercial use,
improper assembly or installation of product.
- Damages caused in shipping.
- Damages caused by replacement or resetting of house fuses or circuit breakers.
- Defects other than manufacturing defects.
- Breakage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, alteration, lack of proper care and maintenance,
or incorrect current or voltage.
- Lost or missing parts of the product. Parts will need to be purchased separately.
- Damages of parts that are not electrical; i.e. cracked or broken plastic/glass, scratched/dented
inner pots.
- Damage from service or repair by unauthorized personnel.
- Extended warranties purchased via a separate company or reseller.
- Acts of God such as fire, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.
8. This warranty does not apply to re-manufactured merchandise.
Maxi-Matic, USA shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the
breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited by applicable law, any
implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in time to the
duration of the warranty.
*One Year Limited Warranty valid only in the 50 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia, excluding
Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the USA; product usage
which is in violation of the written instructions provided with the unit will void this warranty.
For international warranty, please contact the local distributor.
This warranty gives you special legal rights and you may also have other rights to which you are
entitled which may vary by state, province, and/or jurisdiction.

RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
RETURNS:
A. Any return of defective merchandise to Maxi-Matic, USA must be processed accordingly by
first contacting customer service ([email protected]) to obtain an RA # (Return
Authorization Number). We will not accept any returns of merchandise without an
applicable RA #.
B. IMPORTANT RETURN INSTRUCTIONS. Your Warranty depends on your following these
instructions if you are returning the unit to Maxi-Matic, USA:
1. Carefully pack the item in its original carton or other suitable box with sufficient
cushioning to avoid damage in shipping.
2. Before packing your unit for return, be sure to enclose:
a) Your name, full address with zip code, daytime telephone number,
and RA#,
b) A dated sales receipt or PROOF OF PURCHASE,
c) The model number of the unit and the problem you are having
(Enclose in an envelope and tape directly to the unit before the box is
sealed,) and
d) Any parts or accessories related to the problem.
3. Maxi-Matic, USA recommends that you ship the package via UPS ground service
for tracking purposes. We cannot assume responsibility for lost or damaged
products returned to us during incoming shipment. For your protection, always
carefully package the product for shipment and insure it with the carrier. C.O.D
shipments cannot be accepted.
4. All return shipping charges must be prepaid by you.
5. Once your return has been received by our warehouse, Maxi-Matic, USA will
repair or replace the product if it is defective in material or workmanship, subject
to the conditions in paragraph B.
6. Maxi-Matic will pay the shipping charges to ship the repaired or replacement
product back to you.

IMPORTANTES MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD

EL USO DE UN CORDÓN CORTO
1. Para reducir el riesgo de daños personales, como un tropezón o enredarse con el
cordón eléctrico, un cordón eléctrico corto es suministrado con la unidad.
2. Una extensión eléctrica más larga podrá ser utilizada, siempre y cuando tome
extremas precauciones durante su uso.
3. Si una extensión eléctrica más larga va a ser utilizada, tenga muy en cuenta las
siguientes recomendaciones:
Las especificaciones eléctricas especialmente el (amperaje) del cordón eléctrico
a utilizar deberá de ser igual o de más amperaje que el especificado en el
aparato a utilizar.
La extensión eléctrica deberá de ser colocada de una manera que no cuelgue
de la mesa, donde una mascota, los niños o cualquier otra persona lo pueda
jalar o tropezar sobre ella, accidentalmente.
ENCHÚFE POLARIZADO
Si este aparato es suministrado con un cordón eléctrico de enchufe polarizado (un lado
del enchufe es más ancho que el otro) favor de seguir las siguientes recomendaciones.
Para reducir el riesgo de una descarga eléctrica, este enchufe está diseñado para entrar
en el receptáculo eléctrico de una sola manera. Si el enchufe eléctrico no entra
completamente, de un giro al mismo y trate de nuevo; si no entra de ninguna manera,

DESCRIPCION DE PARTES
DOBLE RANURAS EXTRA GRANDES: Ranuras extra grandes le dan versatilidad para
introducir una gran variedad de panes.
LA PALANCA: Le hace fácilmente remover hasta las mas pequeñas piezas de pan
e inicia el proceso de tostar cuando la baja.

ANTES DEL PRIMER USO
ADVERTENCIA: Durante el primero uso, el aparato produce humo y olor. Esto es normal y
debe desaparecer con uso subsiguiente del aparato. No use ningún detergente, jabón, o
material abrasivo para limpiar este aparato. (Refiérase a la sección “LIMPIEZAY

1. Cuidadosamente remueva todo material de empaque.
2. Limpie el exterior del tostador completamente con una toalla húmeda para
remover polvo que se acumula cuando el articulo esta dentro del empaque.

COMO USAR
Asegure que la Bandeja Para Residuos siempre este en su lugar antes de tostar sus panes.
No intente de forzar panes dentro del tostador, los panes deben de entrar fácil y
libremente. Nunca junte múltiples pedazos de pan dentro de un solo Espacio Para Tostar.
Asegure que la Palanca Para Tostar este arriba, antes de meter sus panes dentro de los
Espacios Para Tostar.

3. Empuje la Palanca Para Tostar para abajo hasta que se trabe en el tostador.
4. Apriete el “BOTÓN PARA RECALENTAR”.
5. Cuando haya terminado de tostar, el pan o artículo surge del tostador.
6. Desenchufe del toma corriente cuando haiga terminado de usar.
BOTÓN PARA BAGEL: Use para tostar sus bagels favoritos. Esta función solo dora el pan de
un lado.
1. Coloque el pan o artículo dentro de los Espacios Para Tostar.
ADVERTENCIA: Parte el bagel a la mitad antes de colocar dentro de los Espacio Para
Tostar. NO INSERTE UN BAGEL COMPLETO DENTRO DE UN SOLO ESPACIO PARA
TOSTAR.
2. Seleccione el nivel de tostado con el Control Para Tostar.
3. Empuje la Palanca Para Tostar para abajo hasta que se trabe en el tostador.
4. Apriete el “BOTÓN PARA BAGEL”.
5. Cuando haya terminado de tostar, el pan o artículo surge del tostador.
6. Desenchufe del toma corriente cuando haiga terminado de usar.
ADVERTENCIAS:
El tiempo que dure el pan para tostar depende de lo húmedo que este.
El pan más grueso requiere más tiempo para tostar y a veces requiere dorar dos
veces.
Cuando este tostando panes con fruta (como panes con pasas) es recomendable
remover pedazos de fruta que estén sueltas, para evitar que estos se queden
atrapados dentro del tostador.
PRECAUCION: NUNCA INTENTE DE TOSTAR PANES O ARTICULO MANTECOSOS, QUE
CONTENGAN MUCHO AZUCAR O QUE TENGAN AZUCAR GLAZEADO POR FUERA
PORQUE PUEDEN CAUSAR UN RIESGO DE FUEGO.

MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA
1. Primero, desconecte la unidad del tomacorriente y permita que se enfríe
completamente antes de limpiarlo.
2. Use un trapo ligeramente mojado y enjabonado para limpiar la superficie exterior
del tostador.
ADVERTENCIA: NUNCA USE JABONES O DETERGENTES ABRASIVOS NI ESPONJAS DE
ESTRAGAR O METALICAS EN NINGUNA PARTE DEL TOSTADOR.
PRECAUCION: ES MUY IMPORTANTE DE NUNCA SUMERGIR EL TOSTADOR O EL
CORDON ELECTRICO EN AGUA O CUALQUIER OTRO LÍQUIDO.
3. Seque el tostador completamente antes de almacenar o usar de nuevo.
Pedazos de pan acumulados dentro del tostador pueden quemarse fácilmente. Es
recomendable que se remueva periódicamente residuos de pan que puedan
quedarse dentro del tostador. Una charola para residuos ha sido incluida y está
localizada en la parte inferior del lado opuesto del selector y los botones para
tostar. Deslice la charola para residuos y vacié los contenidos en un bote de basura
o a un lavabo. Límpiela y séquela completamente. Después, regrese la charola en su
posición hasta que se trabe con el tostador.
ADVERTENCIA: NO use ningún tipo de objeto filoso o utensilios de metal para
limpiar dentro del tostador. Al hacerlo podría dañar los elementos térmicos y crear
un riesgo al usar. No intente de remover artículos atorados dentro del tostador o
insertar objetos de metal o de cualquier otro material cuando este en uso o cuando
esté conectado al tomacorriente; esto causaría lesiones graves al usuario.
Si algún objeto se atora, apague la unidad y desconecte del tomacorriente
inmediatamente. Una vez que se enfrié completamente el tostador, colóquelo boca
bajo, y sacuda levemente para remover el objeto.
NO INTENTE DE REPARAR EL TOSTADOR. Por favor llévelo a la tienda donde fue
comprado o a un personal calificado para hacer cualquier tipo de servicio.

GARANTÍA LIMITADA * UN (1) AÑO
GARANTIA ES VALIDA CON UNA PRUEBA DE COMPRA FECHADA
1. Se garantiza, al comprador original, de estar libres de defectos de fabricación en
condiciones de uso normales y las condiciones para un (1) año, cordones excluidos.
Esta garantía se aplica sólo al comprador original de este producto.
2. Si necesita cambiar la unidad, devuélvala en su caja original, con el recibo de compra, a
la tienda donde lo compró. Si usted está más allá del plazo concedido para el retorno
por la política de la tienda, por favor consulte la garantía incluida.
3. Si utiliza el aparato para uso doméstico y de acuerdo con las instrucciones, debería
ofrecerle años de servicio satisfactorio.
4. Durante el período de garantía de un año, un producto con un defecto será reparado o
reemplazado por un modelo nuevo o reacondicionado (a nuestro criterio) cuando el
producto sea devuelto a nuestro Centro de Servicio. (Consulte la sección
"Devoluciones" a continuación).
5. El producto reparado o reemplazado estará garantizado por el saldo restante del
período de garantía de un año y un plazo adicional de un mes.
6. Esta garantía limitada cubre los aparatos comprados y usados en los 50 estados

INSTRUCCIONES DE DEVOLUCIÓN
DEVOLUCIONES:
A. Cualquier devolución de mercancía defectuosa al fabricante deben ser procesados
apropiadamente contactando primero al servicio al cliente (información de contacto se
muestra a continuación) para obtener un # RA (Número de autorización de devolución). No se
aceptará ninguna devolución de mercancía sin un # RA aplicable.
B. INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE RETORNO. Su garantía depende que usted siga estas
instrucciones si va a devolver la unidad a Maxi-Matic EE.UU.:
1. Empaque cuidadosamente el producto en su caja original o en otra caja adecuada
para evitar daños durante el envío.
2. Antes del envío de la devolución unidad, asegúrese de adjuntar:
a) Su nombre, dirección completa con código postal, número de teléfono
durante el día, y #RA
b) Un recibo de compra fechado o COMPROBANTE DE COMPRA,
c) El número de modelo de la unidad y el problema que tiene (Encierre en
un sobre y pegue directamente a la unidad antes de sellar la caja) y
d) Todas las piezas o accesorios relacionados con el problema.
3. Maxi-Matic EE.UU. recomienda enviar el paquete de servicio terrestre de UPS para
fines de seguimiento. No podemos asumir la responsabilidad por productos
perdidos o dañados devueltos a nosotros durante el transporte entrante. Para su
protección, siempre cuidadosamente empaquetar el producto para su envío y
asegurarlo con la compañía. Envíos C.O.D no puede ser aceptado.
4. Todos los gastos de envío de devolución debe ser pagado por usted.
