DESCRIPTION
Read this manual carefully and become familiar
with your generator set. Know its applications, its
limitations and any hazards involved.
This generator isan engine-driven, revolving field,alternating
current (AC) generator. It was designedto supply electrical
power for operating compatible electrical lighting, appliance,
tool and motor loads.Thegenerator's revolvingfield is
driven at about 3,600rpm by asingte<ylinder engine.
CAUTION! Do Not exceed the generator's
wattage/amperage capacity.See"Don't Overload the
Generator" on page 9.

National Electric Code requires generator to be properly
grounded to an approved earth ground. Call an electrician for
localgrounding requirements.
Use aground circuit fault interrupter (GFCt) in anydamp or
highly conductive area,such asmetal decking or steel work.
Do not touch bare wires or receptacles.
Do not use generator with electrical cords which are worn,
frayed,bare or otherwise damaged.
Do not operate generator in the rain.
Do not handle generator or electrical cords while standing in
water, while barefoot, or while handsor feet are wet.
Do not allow unqualified persons or children to operate or
service generator.

Do not allow any openflame, spark, heat,or lit cigarette

Start generator and let engine stabilize before connecting
electrical loads.
Connect electrical loads in OFF position, then turn ON for
operation.
Turn electrical loads OFF and disconnect from generator
before stopping generator.

IMPORTANT: Any attempt to run the unit before it has
been serviced with the recommended oil will result in an
engine failure.
REMOVE G EN ERATOR
FROM CARTON
• Set the carton on a rigid flat surfacewith "This Side Up"
arrows pointing upward.
• Carefully open the top flaps of the shippingcarton.
• Cut down corners at one end of carton from top to
bottom and laythat side of carton down flat
• Removeall packingmaterial, carton fillers, etc.
• Removethe generator from the shipping carton.

INSTALL WHEEL KIT
IMPORTANT:This wheel kit is not intended for
over-the-road use.
To installyour wheel kit you need the followingtools:
• Two 13mmbox,openend,or socket wrenches
Install Wheel Kit as follows:
I. Placethe bottom of the generator cradle on a flat,
even surface.Temporarily place uniton blocks to ease
assembly.
2. Slide axle through both axle mounting brackets on
cradle frame, as shown in Figure I.

3. Slideawheel over the axle.
NOTE: Be sure to installboth wheelswith the air
pressure valve on the outboard side.
4. Retain wheel on axle with the retaining pin.You may
acidthe fiat washer if desired.
5. Repeat step 3 and 4 to secure second wheel.
6. Removethe temporary blocks.
7. To aid support leg assembly,rest generator on cradle,
engine end down.Attach the support leg with two
M8x 16mm cap screws and two locking hex nuts as
shown.
8. Use two 13mm wrenches to tighten leghardware.
Restgenerator on wheels and support leg.
9. Center the handle bracket on generator frame at
support leg end of cradle, asshown.
10. Attach handle bracket with two M8 x 45mm cap
screws and two locking hex nuts.
I I. Check that all fasteners are tight and the tires are
inflatedbetween 15-40 PSI.
BEFORE STARTING THE
ENGINE
Add Oil
CAUTION! Any attempt to crank or start the engine
before it hasbeen properly filled with the recommended
oil may result in an engine failure.
To fill your engine with oil:
• Placegenerator on a level surface.
• Follow the oil grade recommendations and oil fill
instructionsgiven in the engine owner's manual.
NOTE:The generator's revolving field rides on a
prelubricated and sealedbali bearing that requires no
additional lubrication for the life of the bearing.
Add Gasoline
_ ARNING! Never fill fuel tank indoors.Never
fill fuel tank when engine isrunning or hot.Allow
unit to cool for two minutes before refueling. Do
Not lighta cigarette or smoke when filling the fuel
tank.
_ WARNING! Do Not overfill the fuel tank.
Always allow room for fuel expansion.
• Use regular UNLEADED gasoline with the generator
engine. Do Not use premium gasoline. Do Not mix oil
with gasoline.
• Clean area around fuel fill cap, remove cap.
• Slowly add unleaded regular gasoline to fuel tank. Be
careful not to overfill.Allow about 1.5" of tank space for
fuel expansion (Figure 2).

• Install fuel cap and wipe up any spilled gasoline.
IMPORTANT: It is important to prevent gum deposits
from forming in essential fuel system parts, such as the
carburetor, fuel filter, fuel hose or tank during storage.Also,
experience indicates that alcohol-blended fuels (called
gasohol, ethanol or methanol) can attract moisture, which
leads to separation and formation of acids during storage.
Acidic fuel can damage the fuel system of an engine while in
storage.
To avoid engine problems, the fuel system should be
emptied before storage of 30 clays or longer. See"Storage"
on page I I. Never use engine or carburetor cleaner
products in the fuel tank or permanent damage may occur.

GROUNDING THE
G EN ERATO R
The National Electrical Code requires that the frame and
external electrically conductive parts of this generator be
properly connected to an approved earth ground. Local
electrical codes mayalso require proper grounding of the
unit. For that purpose, a GROUNDING WING NUT is
provided on the generator end (Figure 3).

Turn the fuel valve to the "On" position (Figure 4).
Place the choke lever in the "Choke" position
(Figure 5).
Generally,connecting a No. 12AWG (American Wire
Gauge) stranded copper wire to the grounding wingnut
and to an earth-driven copper or brass grounding rod
(electrode) provides adequate protection against electrical
shock. Be careful to keepthe grounding wire attached after
connecting the stranded copper wire. However, local codes
may vary widely.Consult with a local electrician for
grounding requirements in your area.
Properly grounding the generator helps prevent electrical
shock if aground fault condition exists in the generator or
in connected electrical devices.Proper grounding also helps
dissipate static electricity, which often builds up in
ungrounded devices.
OPERATING THE
G EN ERATO R
_ AUTION! Never start or stop the engine with
electrical loadsconnected to the receptaclesAND
with the connected devices turned ON.
Starting the Engine
Disconnect alt electrical loadsfrom the generator. Use the
following start instruction steps by numerical order:
3. Setthe rocker switch to "On" position (Figure 6).
4. Grasp the recoil handle and pull slowly untilslight
resistance is felt.Then pull rapidly to start engine.
5. Move choke lever to "Run" position a short distanceat
a time over severalsecondsin warm weather or
minutes in cold weather.Let engine run smoothly before
eachchange.Operate with choke in "Run" position.
NOTE: If engine still fails to start after 3 pulls,check for
proper oil level in crankcase.This unit is equipped with a
low oil device which prevents the engine from being
started. Seeengine manual.
Refer to the engine owner's manual for more
detailed starting instructions.

Connecting Electrical Loads
• Let enginestabilize and warm up for a few minutes after
starting.
• Plugin and turn on the desired 120and/or 240VottAC,
single phase,60 Hz electrical loads.
• Do Not connect 240Volt loads to the 120Volt duplex
receptacles.
• Do Not connect 3_hase loadsto the generator.
• Do Not connect 50 Hz loads to the generator.
• DO NOT OVERLOADTHE GENERATOR. See
"Don't Overload the Generator" on page 9.
Stopping the Engine
• Unplug all electrical loads from generator panel
receptacles.Never start or stop engine with electrical
devices plugged in and turned ON.
• Let engine run at no-load for several minutes to stabilize
the internal temperatures of engine and generator.
• Move rocker switch to "Off' position.
• Movethe fuel valveto the "Off' position.

Use a NEMA LI4-30 plug with this receptacle.Connect a
4-wire cord set rated for 250Volt AC loads at 30 Amps (or
greater) (Figure 7).You can usethe same 4-wire cord if you

phaseloads requiring up to 5,500 watts of power (5.5 kW)
at 30 Amps for 120Volts or 240Volts.The outlet is
protected by a push-to-reset circuit breaker.
_ CAUTION! Although this outlet states it hasa
120/240Volt 30 Amp rating (up to 7,200 watts), the
generator isonly rated for 5,500 watts. Powering
loadsthat exceed the wattage/amperage capacity of
the generator can damageit or causeserious
injuries.

Receptacles
Eachduplex receptacle (Figure 8) isprotected against
overload by a push-to-reset circuit breaker.

Use each receptacle to operate 120Volt AC, single-phase,
60 Hz electrical loadsrequiring up to 2,400 watts (2.4 kW)
at 20Amps of current. Use cord sets that are rated for
125Volt AC loads at 20Amps (or greater).
_ CAUTION!These outlets are rated at 120Volt
20 Amp each (up to 80 Amps).The generator isonly
rated for up to 45.8Amps. Powering loads that
exceed the wattage/amperage capacity of the
generator can damageit or causeserious injuries.

DON'T OVERLOAD YOUR
G EN ERATO R
Capacity
You must make sure your generator cansupply enough
rated (running) and surge (starting) watts for the itemsyou
will power at the sametime. Follow these simple steps:
I. Select the itemsyou wilt power at the same time.
2. Total the rated (running) watts of these items.Thisis
the amount of power your generator must produce to
keep your itemsrunning. SeeFigure 9.
3. Estimate how many surge (starting) watts you wilt
need.Surge wattage isthe short burst of power
needed to start electric motor-driven tools or
appliancessuch asa circular saw or refrigerator.
Becausenot all motors start at the sametime, total
surge watts can be estimated by addingonly the
item(s)with the highest additional surge watts to the
total rated watts from step 2.

Power Management
To prolong the lifeof your generator and attached devices,
it is important to take care when addingelectrical loadsto
your generator.There should be nothing connected to the
generator outlets before starting it's engine.The correct
and safeway to managegenerator power isto sequentially
add loadsasfollows:
I. With nothingconnected to the generator, start the
engine asdescribed in this manual.
2. Plugin and turn on the first load,preferably the largest
loadyou have.
3. Permit the generator output to stabilize (engine runs
smoothly and attached device operates properly.
4. Plug in and turn on the next load.
5. Again,permit the generator to stabilize.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each additional load.
Never add more loadsthan the generator capacity.Take
specialcare to consider surgeloadsin generator capacity,
asdescribed above.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
RECOMMENDATIONS
The Owner/Operator is responsible for making sure that
all periodic maintenance tasks are completed on atimely
basis;that all discrepancies are corrected; and that the unit
is kept clean and properly stored. Never operate a
damaged or defective generator.
Engine Maintenance
See engine owner's manual for instructions.
If you need service for your engine, you need to determine
the engine identification number.To do so, remove the
rocker arm cover hood, item number 55 shown on
page 16, by removing the four nuts and washers holding it
in place.The engine model-type-trim number is stamped on
the side of the inner cover attached to the engine. Have
this number in hand when you call the engine service
center for assistance.
_i AUTION! Avoid prolonged or repeated skincontact with usedmotor oil. Used motor oil has
been shown to cause skin cancer in certain
laboratory animals.Thoroughly wash exposed areas
with soap and water.

POLLUTE.CONSERVERESOURCES.RETURN
USED OIL TO COLLECTION CENTERS.
Generator Maintenance
Generator maintenance consists of keeping the unit clean
and dry. Operate and store the unit in a clean dry
environment where it will not be exposed to excessive
dust, dirt, moisture or any corrosive vapors. Cooling air
slots in the generator must not become clogged with snow,
leaves or any other foreign material.
NOTE: Do Not use a garden hose to clean generator.
Water can enter engine fuel system and cause problems. In
addition, if water enters generator through cooling air slots,
some of the water wilt be retained in voids and cracks of
the rotor and stator winding insulation.Water and dirt
buildup on the generator internal windings will eventually
decrease the insulation resistance of these windings.
To Clean the Generator
_i AUTION! Never insertanyobject or tool
through the air cooling slots, even ifthe engine is
not running.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe exterior surfaces clean.
• A soft bristle brush may be used to loosen caked on dirt
or oil.
• A vacuum cleaner may be used to pick up loose dirt and
debris.
• Low pressure air (not to exceed 25 psi) may be used to
blow awaydirt. Inspect cooling air slots and opening on
generator.These openings must be kept clean and
unobstructed.

STO RAG E
The generator should be started at least once every seven
days and allowed to run at least 30 minutes. If this cannot
be done and you must store the unit for more than
30 days,usethe following guidelinesto prepare it for
storage.
Generator Storage
• Clean the generator asoutlined in"To Clean the
Generator"
• Check that cooling air slots and openings on generator
are open and unobstructed.
_ AUTION! Storage covers can be flammable.
Oo Not place a storage cover over a hot
generator. Let the unit cool for a sufficient time
before placingthe cover on the unit.

• Replacegasolinecan if it starts to rust. Rust and/or dirt

Este generador funciona en basea un motor, de campo el_ctrico
giratorio y de corriente alterna (AC). Fue disehado con la

giratorio del generador funciona a una velocidad de 3,6000 rpm
usando un motor con un solo cilindro.

ADVERTENCIA
Cuando use un generador como poder de energla auxiliar, notifique a
la compafila de utilidades. Use el equipo de transferencia aprobado
paraaislar el generador de otra utiJidad el_ctrica.
Los C6digos Nacionales para la Electricidad,requieren que los
generadores esten haciendo tierra de una manera aprobada. Llame a
un electricista para ¢onocer los requisitos locales parahacer tierra.
Use un interruptor p_ra lafalla del circuito de tierra (GFCI) en
cualquier _rea bastante humeda o que seaaltamente conductiva, tales
como terrazas de metal o trabaio hecho con acero.
No toque los alambres peladoso recept_culos.
No use un generador con cables el_ctricos que est_n malgastados,
rotos, pelados o dafiados de ¢ualquier forma.
No opere el generador bajo la Iluvia.
No maneje el generador o cablesel_ctricos mientras est_ parado en
agua,descalzo o cuando lasmanos y los pies est_n mojados.
No permita que personas descaliflcadaso nifios operen o sirrah al
generador.
PELIGRO

cigarrillo durante y por ratios minutos despu_s de haber recargado la
baterla.
Lleve puestos lasgalasprotectoras, delantal y guantes de gorna.

PRECAUCION
No cambie ninguna velocidad determinada. El generador suministra
una frecuencia y un voltaje calificado cuando funciona a una velocidad

Encienda sugenerador y deje que el motor se estabilice antes de
conectar las¢argas el/actricas.

Sugenerador requiere de ciertos procedimientos de montaje y
solo estar_ listo para ser utilizado despu_s de haberle
suministrado servicio con el combustible y aceite recomendados.

PARA RETIRAR EL GENERADOR
DE LA CAJA
Coloque la caja sobre una superficie planay rigida, con las
flechasque dicen "this side up" haciaarriba.
Abra con cuidado lastapas superiores de la cajade envio.
Corte de arriba a abajo las esquinasde uno de los lados de la
caja y coloque ese lado de la caja sobre el suelo.
Retire todo el material de empaque,relleno, etc.
Saque elgenerador de la cajade envto.

INSTALE EL JUEGO DE RUEDAS
IMPORTANTE: EsteJuegode Ruedasno ha sidodisehado para

Dos cajasde 13rambox, extremo abierto, o Ilave de tubo.
Instale el Juego de Ruedas de la manera siguiente:
I. Coloque el fondo de lacamilla del generadoren una
superficie plana.Temporalmente, coloque la unidad en
bloques para ensamblarla fdcilmente.
2. Deslice el eje a trav_s de ambos soportes de montaje, en el
marco de la camilla,como semuestra en la Figura 10.
3. Deslice una rueda en el eje.
NOTA: Aseg_rese de instalarambas ruedas con lav_lvula de aire
hacia el lado de afuera.
4. Sujete la rueda aleje con el pasador de seguridad. Usted
puede a_adir la arandela si asi Io desea.

ANTES DE DARLE ARRANQUE AL
MOTOR
Agregar Aceite al Motor
CAUTION! Cualquier intento para arancarel motor antes de
haberle proporcionado el mantenimiento apropiado con el aceite
recomendado, podrta ocasionar la falla del motor.
Coloque la generador sobre una superficie nivelada.
Consulte el manual del propietario del motor para a_adir al
motor el aceite recomendado.
NOTA: El campo giratorio del generador se encuentra en un
cojinete prequbricado y sellado que no requiere lubricaci6n
adicional por la vida _til del cojinete.
Agregue Gasolina
_k ADVERTENCIA! Nunca Ileneel tanque del
combustible en recintos cerrados. Nunea Ilene el tanque
del combustible cuando el motor est_en funcionamiento
o caliente. No encienda dgarrillos o fume cuandoest_
Ilenando el tanque del combustible.
_ iADVERTENClA! No Ilene excesivamente el tanque
de combustible. Deje suficiente espacio para la expansi6n
del combustible.
Use gasolinaregular SIN CONTENIDO DE PLOMO en
el generador.No use gasolina premium. No mezde aceite con
gasolina.
Limpie el _rea alrededor del Ilenado de gasolina;retire la tapa.
Uene lentamente el tanque con gasolinasin contenido de
plomo. Seacuidadoso de no Ilenar excesivamente. Deje
1.5" de espacio en el tanque para que la expansi6n del
combustible, como semuestra en esta ilustraci6n (Figura I I).
Combustible
Instalela tapa del combustibley limpie cualquier derrame de
gasolina.
IMPORTANTE: Esimportante evitar laformaci6n de dep6sitos
de goma en las partes esencialesdel sistema de combustible
como en el carburador, filtro del combustible, manguera del
combustible o tanque, durante sualmacenamiento. Los
combustibles mezclados con alcohol (llamados gasohol,etanol o
metanol) pueden atraer lahumedad,la cual produce laseparaci6n
y formaci6n de _cidosdurante el almacenamiento. Lagasolina
_cida puede daSar el sistema de combustible de un motor
durante sualmacenamiento.
Para evitar problemas en el motor, deber_ vaciar el sistema de
combustible antes de perlodos de almacenamiento de 30 dias o
m_s.Vea "Almacenamiento" en la p_gina 28. Nunea use productos
para limpiar motores o carburadores en el tanque del
combustible; si Io hace ocurrir_n daffos permanentes.

CONEXION ATIERRA DEL
GENERADOR
El C6digo Nacional de Electricidad exige que el marco y las
partes exteriores del generador conductoras de electricidad,
est_n conectadas atierra adecuadamente.Los c6digos el_ctricos
locales tambi_n pueden exigir que la unidad est6 conectada a
tierra correctamente. Paratal prop6sito, seha instalado una
tuerca mariposa para conexi6n a tierra en la basedel bastidor
(Rgura 12).
Conexi6n aTierra
Por Io general, la conexi6n de un alambre de cobre trenzado No.
12AWG (AmericanWire Gauge)a la aleta de conexi6n a tierra y
a una barra de conexi6n a tierra de cobre o bronce (electrodo)
proporciona unaprotecci6n adecuadacontra lasdescargas
el_ctricas. Sin embargo,los c6digos locales pueden variar
substancialmente.Consulte con un electricista local para conocer
los requisitos de conexi6n a tierra de sugrea.
La conexi6n atierra adecuadadel generador ayudar_ aevitar las
descargasel_ctricas en el caso de que exista una condici6n de
falla atierra en el generador o en los dispositivos el_ctricos
conectados. La conexi6n a tierra adecuadatambi_n ayudaa
disipar la electricidad est_tica, lacual se acumula frecuentemente
en dispositivos no conectados a tierra.
OPERANDO EL GENERADOR
_1 iPRECAUCI_N! Nunca enciendao pare el motor
con las cargasel_ctricas conectadasalos recept_culosY
con los aparatos conectados ENCENDIDOS.
Encienda el Motor
Desconecte todas las cargasel_ctricasdel generador. Use las
siguientes instrucciones para encender,pasopor paso,en orden
num_rico.
I. Gire la v_lvula del combustible a la posici6n "On" (Figura 13).
2. Coloque la palancade choke en laposici6n "Choke"
(Figura 14).
3. Coloque el interruptor balancln a la posici6n "On"
(Figura I5).
4. Agarre la manilla de retroceso y hale lentamente hasta que
puede sentir un poco de resistencia. Luego hale r_pidamente
para encender el moto_
5. Mueva la palanca de choke a la posici6n "Run" una distancia
corta a Ia vez por algunos segundos en un clima c_lido, o
algunos minutos en un clima frio. Deje que el motor corra
suavemente antes de cada cambio. Opere con el choke en la
posici6n "Run".
NOTA: Si el motor a_n no puede encender despu_s de halarla
tres veces, verifique el nivel adecuado de aceite en el cigLiefial.
Esta unidad est_ equipada con un aparato para detectar el nivel
bajo de aceite, que no permitir_ que el motor se encienda.Vea el
manual del motor.

Conexion De Cargas Electricas
Deje que el motor seestabilice y secaliente por unos
minutos despu_sdel arranque.
Conecte y encienda las cargasel_ctricas de 120y/o

Capacidad
Usted debe asegurarseque su generador puedeproveer el
suficiente vataje calificado (cuando est_ funcionando) y de carga
(al encender) para los aparatos a los cualesva a proveer la
energia,al mismo tiempo. Sigaestos pasos:
I. Seleccione los aparatos que recibir_n la energia,al mismo
tiempo.
2. Totalice los ratios calificados (cuando est_ funcionando) de
estos aparatos. Esta esla cantidad de energia que su
generador debe producir para mantener eso aparatos
funcionando adecuadamente.Veala Figura 18.
3. Calcule la cantidad de ratios de carga (al encender) que
usted necesitar_.El vataie de carga esla cantidad minima de
electricidad, necesaria para encender herramientas o
aparatos con motores el_ctricos, tales como, sierras
circulates o refrigeradores. Debido a que no todos los
motores se encienden al mismo momento, el vataie total de
carga se puede estimar al a_adir solamente el(los) aparato(s)

Control de la Energia
Para prolongar la vida de su generador y los aparatos que est_n
conectados al mismo, es muy importante cuidarlo cuando se le
ahaden cargasel_ctricas. Nada deberia estar conectado a los
tomacorrientes del generador antes de que su motor sea
encendido. Laforma correcta y m_s segura para controlar la
energia del generador,es la de ahadir en secuenciaslas cargas,
como sedescribe a continuaci6n:
I. Sin tener nada conectado al generador, encienda el motor de
la manera descrita en este manual.
2. Conecte y encienda la primera carga,preferiblemente la
mayor que usted tenga.
3. Permita que la salidadel generador seestabilice (el motor
funciona suavementey el aparato conectado al mismo
trabaja adecuadamente).
4. Conecte y encienda la pr6xima carga.
5. De nuevo,permita que el generadorse estabilice.
6. Repita los pasos4 y 5 para cada cargaadicional que usted
tenga.
Nunca ahada m_scargas sobre la capacidaddel generador.Tome
unaatenci6n especial en considerar las cargas de corriente seg_n

Mantenimiento del Generador
El mantenimiento del generador consiste en conservar la unidad
limpia y seca.Opere y almacenela unidad en un ambiente limpio
y seco donde no ser_ expuesta al polvo, suciedad,humedad o
vapores corrosivos. Lasranuras del aire de enfriamiento del
generador no deben estar tapadascon nieve,hoias,o cualquier
otro material extrahos.
Revisefrecuentemente la limpieza del generador y limpielo
cuando est6 con polvo, sucio, con aceite,humedad,o cuando otras
substancias extra_as seanvisibles en su superficie exterio_
NOTA: No recomendamos el uso de manguerasde jardIn para
limpiar el generador. El agua podria introducirseen el sistema de
combustible del motor y causar problemas.Adem_s, si el aguase
introduceal generador atrav6s de las ranuras para aire de
enfriamiento, algo del aguaquedar_ retenida en los espacios
vactosy grietas del aislamiento del devanado del estator y rotor.
La acumulacibn de aguay suciedad en los devanados internosdel
generador disminuir_ eventualmente la resistencia del aislamiento
de estos devanados.
Para Limpiar el Generador
Utilice un trapo h_medo para limpiar las superficies
exteriores.
Puede usar un cepillo de cerdas suavespara reti_r la
sudedad endurecida,aceite, etc.
Puede usar unam_quinaaspiradora para eliminar suciedad y
residuos sueltos.
Puede usar aire a baja presi6n (que no exceda los 25 psi) para
eliminar la suciedad,tnspeccione las ranuras para aire de
enfriamiento y la apertura del generado_ Estasaperturas
deber_n mantenerse limpias y despejadas.
ALMACENAMIENTO
Elgeneradordeber_ ser encendido al menos unavez cadasiete
dtasy deber_ dejarlo funcionar al menos durante 30 minutos.Si
no puede hacer esto y debe almacenar la unidad por mgs de
30 dtas,sigalassiguientes instruccionespara preparar su unidad
para almacenamiento.

Generac PortableProductswelcomeswarranty repair andapologizesto you for beinginconvenienced.AnyAuthorized ServiceDealer mayperform
warranty repairs.Most warranty repairsare handledroutinely,but sometimes requestsfor warranty service may not be appropriate. For example,
warranty would not apply if equipment damageoccurred becauseof misuse,lack of routine maintenance,shipping,handling,warehousing or improper
installation.Similarly,warranty isvoid if the serial number of the equipment hasbeen removed or the equipment hasbeen altered or modified.
If a customer differswith the decisionof the Service Dealer, an investigationwill be made to determine whether the warranty applies.Ask the
Service Dealer to submit all supporting facts to its Distributor for review.If the Distributor decidesthat the claim isjustified, the customer will be
fully reimbursed for those items that are defective.To avoid misunderstandings that might occur between the customer and the Dealer,listed
below are some of the causes of equipment failure that the warranty does not cover:
Normal wear:
Outdoor Power Equipment,likeall mechanical devices,needs periodic parts,service and replacement to perform well.This warranty
does not cover repair when normal use has exhausted the life of a part or the equipment.
Installation and Maintenance:
This warranty does not apply to equipment or parts that havebeen subiected to improperor unauthorizedinstallationor alteration,
misuse,negligence,accident, overloading,overspeeding, improper maintenance, repair or storage so as,in Generac Portable Products'
judgment, to adversely affect its performance and reliablity.This warranty alsodoes not cover normal maintenance such asadiustments,
fuel system cleaningand obstruction (due to chemical,dirt, carbon or lime, etc.).
Other Exclusions:
Also excluded from this warranty are wear items such asquick couplers, oil gauges,belts, o-rings, filters,pump packing,etc., pumps
which havebeen run without water supplied or damageor malfunctions resulting from accidents,abuse,modifications, alterations, or
improper servicing or freezing or chemical deterioration.
Warranty is available only through service dealers authorized by Generac Portable Products.This warranty does not apply to
service by any other entity.
