According to OSHA, any exposure in excess of the above permissible limits could result in some hearing loss. Ear plug protectors in the ear canals or over the ears must be worn when operating this amplification system in order to prevent a permanent hearing loss if exposure is in excess of the limits as set forth above. To ensure against potentially dangerous exposure to high sound pressure levels, it is recommended that all persons exposed to equipment capable of producing high sound pressure levels such as this amplification system be protected by hearing protectors while this unit is in operation. This product should not be placed near a source of heat such as a stove, radiator, or another heat producing amplifier. Use only the supplied power cord which is compatible with the mains voltage supply in your area. Power supply cords should always be handled carefully and should be replaced if damaged in any way. Never break off the earth (ground) pin on the power supply cord. The power supply cord should be unplugged when the unit is to be unused for long periods of time. Before the unit is switched on, the loudspeaker should be connected as described in the handbook using the lead recommended by the manufacturer. Always replace damaged fuses with the correct rating and type. Never disconnect the protective mains earth connection. High loudspeaker levels can cause permanent hearing damage. You should therefore avoid the direct vicinity of loudspeakers operating at high levels. Wear hearing protection if continuously exposed to high levels. 4 All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the government or the local authorities. 5 English Features Thank you for purchasing this Blackstar HT-5 amplifier. The Blackstar Team English Introduction In making the HT-5 ideally suited to home and studio use, the aim was to develop a valve amp which sounded full and toneful even at the lowest volume level. With this in mind the Blackstar design team designed a brand new valve power amplifier topology. The HT-5 power amplifier is a low powered push-pull design which produces the crunch and break-up characteristics of a traditional 100W output stage but at a much lower volume. This is achieved by the use of a 12BH7 dual triode in push-pull configuration producing 5 watts output, which is rich in valve harmonics and compression. The HT-5 also has a fully specified speaker emulated output which further enhances the studio credentials and allows any guitarist to get amazing valve tone straight to tape or disk, or through headphones. It also features the unique 4x12/1x12 voicing switch allowing you to change the tonal characteristics of the emulated signal between two emulated cabinet types. Add to this an effects loop with switchable level, along with 16Ω and 8Ω speaker outputs which allow you to run the amp into an external speaker cabinet of your choice, and you have everything you need for recording or practising. 6 7 Front Panel American characteristic with a tight bottom end and more aggressive middle, and fully CW has a British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive. English English 1. Input 1. Input Plug your guitar in here. Always use a good quality screened guitar lead. 2. Clean Volume This controls the volume of the Clean Channel. Turning it clockwise increases the volume. 3. Overdrive Select Press this switch to select the Overdrive Channel. 4. Overdrive Indicator When the RED LED is on the Overdrive Channel is selected. When the LED is off the Clean Channel is in operation. 5. Overdrive Gain The Gain control adjusts the amount of the Overdrive Channel’s overdrive or distortion. Low settings, counter clockwise, will deliver a clean sound on the edge of break-up. As the Gain control is increased clockwise (CW) the sound will become more overdriven moving through crunch tones until, at its maximum position, a full distorted lead tone is arrived at. 11. Headphones & Speaker Emulated Output This output emulates the tonal characteristics of a guitar speaker cabinet and provides a natural valve overdrive tone for connection to a recording device or mixing desk, and for use with headphones. Always use a good quality screened guitar lead. 12. Cabinet Switch The switch enables you to select either a 4x12 closed back or a 1x12 open back cabinet emulation for the Speaker Emulated Output. 13. Power Indicator Light The power indicator will light when the amplifier is switched on. 14. Standby This switch applies the H.T. (High Tension) voltage required to produce sound. Always turn this switch on at least 30 seconds after the Power switch (15). During short breaks in playing use just this switch to turn ‘off’ and ‘on’ the amplifier’s output. 15. Power This switch is used to turn the amplifier on and off. You should always turn this switch on before turning on the Standby switch (14). 6. Overdrive Volume This controls the volume of the Overdrive Channel. Turning it clockwise increases the volume. 7. Bass The Bass control adjusts the amount of low end frequencies in your tone. This amp has an advanced tone shaping circuit which allows the tone to be tight and cutting, counter clockwise (CCW), to warm and thumping (CW). 8. Middle The Middle control adjusts the amount of middle frequencies in your tone. The middle frequencies are particularly important in Setting the amount of ‘body’ your tone has. With the Middle control set to its minimum position (fully CCW) the sound will be aggressive and scooped, a tone ideal for aggressive rhythm playing. As the Middle control is increased (CW) the amount of ‘body’ is increased, which is more suitable for sustained lead guitar tones. 9. Treble The Treble control allows exact adjustment of the treble frequencies within the sound. At low settings (CCW) the sound will be warm and darker in character. As the Treble control is increased (CW) the sound will become brighter. At the maximum settings the sound will be aggressive and cutting. 10. ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) The ISF control works in conjunction with the Bass, Middle and Treble controls. It allows you to choose the exact tonAL signature you prefer. The lead should only be connected to a power outlet that is compatible with the voltage, power and frequency requirements stated on the rear panel. If in doubt get advice from a qualified technician. HT-5 Combo 2. Speaker Outputs Weight (kg): 11.5 The output marked ‘1x16 Ohm’ is for the connection of a single 16 Ohm extension speaker cabinet (or the internal loudspeaker of the HT-5 combo). Wenn dieses Verstärkersystem betrieben wird, müssen Ohrschützer im Ohrkanal oder über den Ohren getragen werden, um permanenten Hörverlust zu vermeiden, wenn die Belastung oberhalb der oben festgelegten Grenzwerte liegt. Um sich gegen potenziell gefährliche Belastungen durch hohe Schalldruckpegel zu schützen, wird empfohlen, dass alle Personen, die Geräten wie diesem Verstärkersystem ausgesetzt sind, die in der Lage sind, hohe Schalldruckpegel zu entwickeln, während des Betriebs dieses Geräts durch Ohrschützer geschützt werden. Verwenden Sie nur das zum Lieferumfang gehörende Netzkabel, das mit der Netzstromversorgung in Ihrer Region kompatibel ist. Netzkabel müssen stets mit Vorsicht gehandhabt und ersetzt werden, wenn sie in irgendeiner Weise beschädigt werden. Brechen Sie niemals den Erdungsstift (Erde) am Netzkabel ab. Das Netzkabel sollte aus der Steckdose gezogen werden, wenn das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwendet wird. Bevor das Gerät eingeschaltet wird, muss der Lautsprecher entsprechend der Beschreibung im Handbuch unter Verwendung des vom Hersteller empfohlenen Kabels angeschlossen werden. Ersetzen Sie beschädigte Sicherungen stets mit der korrekten Spannung und Art. Alle Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte müssen getrennt vom Hausmüll über dafür staatlich vorgesehenen Stelen entsorgt werden. Das Blackstar-Team Um den HT-5 zum idealen Werkzeug für den Einsatz daheim und im Studio zu machen, war das Ziel, einen Röhrenverstärker zu bauen, der auch bei minimaler Lautstärke noch kraftvoll und mächtig klingt. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat das Blackstar-Entwicklungsteam eine vollkommen neue Röhren-Endstufen-Topologie entwickelt. Die HT-5-Endstufe arbeitet mit einem in der Leistung reduzierten PushPull-Design, das den Druck und das Durchsetzungsvermögen einer herkömmlichen 100-Watt-Ausgangsstufe erzeugt - allerdings bei deutlich geringerer Lautstärke. Der Schlüssel dazu liegt in der Push-Pull-Konfiguration einer 12BH7-Dual-Triode, die eine Ausgangsleistung von 5 Watt erzeugt und sich durch kräftige Röhren-Obertöne und Kompression auszeichnet. Hinzu kommt ein Effekt-Einschleifweg/Loop mit schaltbarem Arbeitspegel sowie Speaker-Ausgänge für 16- und 8Ω-Lautsprecher, über die Sie eine externe Lautsprecherbox Ihrer Wahl anschließen - mehr brauchen Sie weder für das Aufnehmen noch für das Üben. 14 15 Vorderseite 1. Eingang Hier schließen Sie Ihre Gitarre an. Verwenden Sie in jedem Fall hochwertige geschirmte Gitarrenkabel. Der ISF-Regler arbeitet mit den Reglern für Bass, Middle und Treble zusammen. Mit seiner Hilfe finden Sie die genau die Klangfärbung, die Sie suchen. Bei Einstellungen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn besitzt der Amp einen "amerikanischen" Sound-Charakter mit einem straffen Bassfundament und aggressiveren Mitten. Bei Einstellungen im Uhrzeigersinn erzeugt der Amp einen "britischen" Sound, der deutlich erdiger und weniger aggressiv klingt. Mit diesem Regler steuern Sie die Lautstärke im Clean-Kanal. Im Uhrzeigersinn heben Sie die Lautstärke an. 11. Headphones & Speaker Emulated Output 3. Overdrive Select Dieser Ausgang emuliert den Klangcharakter einer Gitarren-Lautsprecherbox und sorgt in Kombination mit einem Aufnahmegerät, einem Mischpult oder im Kopfhörerbetrieb für eine natürliche Röhren-Übersteuerung. Verwenden Sie in jedem Fall hochwertige geschirmte Gitarrenkabel. Mit diesem Schalter aktivieren Sie den Overdrive-Kanal. 4. Overdrive-Anzeige Wenn die ROTE LED leuchtet, ist der Overdrive-Kanal angewählt. Wenn die LED nicht leuchtet, ist der Clean-Kanal aktiv. 5. Overdrive Gain Mit dem Gain-Regler steuern Sie den Verzerrungsgrad im Overdrive-Kanal. Niedrige Einstellungen (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) liefern einen cleanen Sound mit viel Druck und Durchsetzungsvermögen. Wenn der Gain-Regler aufgedreht wird (im Uhrzeigersinn), nimmt der Verzerrungsgrad mehr und mehr zu und wechselt von crunchigen Sounds bis hin zu stark verzerrten Lead-Sounds in der Extremposition. 6. Overdrive Volume Mit diesem Regler steuern Sie die Lautstärke im Overdrive-Kanal. Im Uhrzeigersinn heben Sie die Lautstärke an. 7. Bass Der Bass-Regler steuert den Anteil der Bassfrequenzen im Gesamt-Sound. Dieser Verstärker bietet eine umfangreiche Klangregelung, mit der Sie den Ton zwischen knackig und aggressiv (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) oder warm und druckvoll (im Uhrzeigersinn) einstellen können. Cabinet-Schalter Mit diesem Schalter können Sie die Emulation einer geschlossenen 4x12-er oder einer auf der Rückseite offenen 1x12-Box für den Speaker Emulated Output anwählen. 13. Power-Leuchte Die Power-Kontrollleuchte ist aktiv, wenn Sie den Verstärker einschalten. 14. Standby Mit diesem Schalter wird die H.T.- Spannung (High Tension) angelegt, die zum Betrieb der Verstärkerschaltung benötigt wird. Schalten Sie diesen Standby frühestens 30 Sekunden nach der Inbetriebnahme aus. Während kurzer Spielpausen können Sie den Verstärkerausgang mit diesem Schalter ‚an- und ‚abschalten. 15. Power Mit diesem Schalter schalten Sie den Verstärker ein bzw. aus. Aktivieren Sie diesen Schalter in jedem Fall VOR dem Standby-Schalter (14). 8. Middle Der Mitten-Regler steuert den Anteil der Mittenfrequenzen im Gesamt-Sound. Die Mitten sind insbesondere für den Grundsound entscheidend. In der Minimalposition (komplett gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) ist der Sound sehr aggressiv und hohl, was sich speziell für knackige Rhythmus-Parts eignet. Wenn der Mitten-Regler angehoben wird (im Uhrzeigersinn), nimmt der Grundton-Anteil zu, was sich für singende LeadGitarren-Sounds empfiehlt. 9. Treble Mit dem Regler Treble können Sie gezielt den Höhenanteil im Gesamt-Sound einstellen. Bei niedrigen Einstellungen (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) erhält der Sound einen wärmeren und dunkleren Charakter. Wenn der Treble-Regler angehoben wird (im Uhrzeigersinn), wird der Sound immer höhenreicher. In der Maximalposition klingt der Sound schließlich aggressiv und schneidend. 16 17 Rückseite Technische Daten Hier wird das mitgelieferte Kaltgerätenetzkabel angeschlossen. Das Kabel muss an einer Netzsteckdose angeschlossen werden, die in punkto Spannung, Leistung und Netzfrequenz den auf der Rückseite vermerkten Spezifikationen entspricht. Im Zweifelsfall wenden Sie sich an einen qualifizierten Techniker/Elektriker. HT-5 Combo 2. Speaker-Ausgänge Gewicht (kg): 11.5 Der mit ‚1x16 Ohm’ beschriftete Ausgang dient zum Anschluss einer einzelnen 16Ohm-Lautsprecherbox (oder des internen Lautsprechers des HT-5-Combos). Français L’équipe Blackstar La création du HT-5 résulte du besoin des guitaristes à jouer à la maison et en studio, le but était de développer un ampli à lampes jouissant d’une dynamique lampe même à faible volume. Headphones & Speaker Emulated Output 1. Entrée Hi Branchez votre guitare ici. Cette sortie simule les caractéristiques sonores d’un baffle guitare et fournit un son ideal pour être connecté à du materiel d’enregistrement, une table de mixage ou un casque. 2. Clean Volume 12. Cabinet Switch Ce bouton contrôle le Volume du canal Clean. Tournez le dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre afin d’augmenter le volume. Ce bouton vous permet de sélectionner une émulation de baffle 4*12 closed back ou 1*12 open back. 3. Overdrive Select 13. Power Indicator Light Pressez ce bouton pour sélectionner le canal Overdrive. Cet indicateur vous informe que l’ampli est allumé. 4. Overdrive Indicator 14. Standby Quand la diode est rouge le canal Overdrive est sélectionné. Quand la diode est éteinte le canal clair est activé. Ce switch applique la haute tension requise pour fournir le son. Veuillez toujours tourner ce switch 30 secondes après le Power Switch. Français Le Bouton Gain vous permet d’ajuster le niveau d’overdrive ou de distorsion du canal. Réglé complètement à gauche, vous obtiendrez un son clean hors du commun. Overdrive Volume Ce bouton contrôle le volume du Canal Overdrive. Le tourner dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre augmente le volume. 7. Bass Le bouton Bass vous permet d’ajuster le niveau de fréquences basses dans votre son. Cet ampli intègre un circuit de réglages des basses avancé vous permettant de manière précise. 8. Middle Le bouton Medium vous permet de régler le niveau de frequencies Medium dans votre son, dessinant ainsi le corps de votre son. Auche votre son sera agressif, idéal pour une séquence rythmique. Réglé plus à droite, le niveau augmentera et le son deviendra optimal pour des séquences ‘lead’. 9. Treble Le Bouton Treble (aigu) vous permet à son tour, de régler les frequences aigues. A un niveau faible le son sera chaud et sombre, au fur et à mesure que vous l’augmenter le son deviendra de plus en plus brillant. A son maximum, les sonorités seront tranchantes et agressives. 10. ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) Le contrôle ISF fonctionne en conjunction sur le Basses, Medium et Aigues. Con esto en mente, el equipo de diseño de Blackstar creó una topología de etapa de amplificación de válvulas completamente nueva. La etapa de amplificación del HT 5 es un diseño push-pull de baja potencia que produce el crujido y rotura característicos de una etapa tradicional de 100 W pero a volumen mucho más bajo. Esto se consigue con el uso de un doble triodo 12BH7 en configuración push-pull produciendo 5 W de salida, con gran riqueza de armónicos y compresión de válvula. Español Español El HT 5 tambien tiene una salida de simulación de altavoz completa lo que aumenta sus credenciales en el estudio y permite a cualquier guitarrista conseguir alucinantes tonos de válvula directamente a cinta o disco o con auriculares. También tiene el interruptor 4x12/1x12 que permite cambiar las características tonales de la señal emulada entre dos tipos de simulación de pantalla. Girándolo en el sentido de las agujas del reloj aumenta el volumen. 11. Salida de auriculares y Simulación de Altavoz 3. Selector de Overdrive Esta salida simula las características tonales de una pantalla de guitarra y proporciona un sonido de saturación natural de válvula para conectar a un aparato de grabación o una mesa de mezclas y para usar con auriculares. Usa siempre un cable apantallado de calidad. Aprieta este botón para seleccionar el canal Overdrive. 4. Indicador de Overdrive Cuando el LED rojo está encendido, el canal saturado ( Overdrive ) ha sido seleccionado. Cuando el LED está apagado, el canal limpio ( Clean ) está en funcionamiento. 5. Overdrive Gain El control GAIN ajusta la cantidad de distorsión o saturación del canal Overdrive. Ajustes bajos, en sentido contrahorario, proporcionan sonido limpio justo a punto de romper. A medida que el control GAIN aumenta, sentido horario, el sonido se vuelve más saturado moviendose a través de tonos crujientes hasta, en su máxima posición, un tono de distorsión llena adecuado para solos. 6. Luz de Indicador de Encendido Se ilumina cuando el amplificador está conectado. 14. Standby Este interruptor aplica el voltaje de alta tensión requerido para producir sonido. Conectar este interruptor SIEMPRE después de al menos 30 segundos después de haber conectado el interruptor POWER (15). Durante pequeños descansos al tocar se puede usar sólo este interruptor para enchufar/desenchufar el amplificador. Español Español 10. ISF ( Infinite Shape Feature ) El control USF trabaja en conjunción con los de TREBLE, MIDDLE y BASS. Permite elegir exactamente la firma tonal que prefieras. Totalmente cerrado ( sentido contrahorario ) tiene un carácter más americano con graves apretados y medios más agresivos. Totalmente abierto ( sentido horario ) tiene una carácter británico que suena más a madera y menos agresivo. 15. Power Se utiliza este interruptor para conectar/desconectar el amplificador. SIEMPRE se debe conectar este interruptor ANTES QUE el de STANDBY (14). El control BASS ajusta la cantidad de frecuencias bajas en tu sonido. Este ampli tiene un circuito de modelado de tono avanzado que permite que suene apretado y cortante girando en sentido contrahorario, caliente y arrollador girando el control en sentido horario. 8. Middle El control MIDDLE ajusta la cantidad de frecuencias medias en tu sonido. Las frecuencias medias son particularmente importantes para ajustar la cantidad de “cuerpo” que va a tener tu sonido.
