Safety Information
In order to properly use the thermometer, please read this user’s manual carefully before
using, especially the “Safety Information” section. It is recommended that you keep this
manual properly, either with the meter or in a place where you can refer to at any time.
Warning
Warning indicates a situation or action which may cause danger to the user. To avoid
electrical shock or personal injury, please follow these procedures:
• Before using the thermometer, check the case for damage and missing parts, especially
the insulation around joints. If the thermometer appears to be damaged, do not use.
• First, disconnect thermocouple and thermometer before opening the meter case.
• When the battery indicator , appears, the battery should be replaced immediately.
• If the thermometer doesn’t work normally, do not continue to use it. Protective equipment
may be damaged. If there is doubt, the meter should be sent to a designated repair site.
• Do not use the thermometer in explosive gas, vapor or dusty environments.
• Do not apply voltage exceeding the rated voltage marked on the thermometer (30V)
between thermocouples or between thermocouple and ground.
• When there is possible potential dierence between thermocouples, insulated
thermocouple should be used.
• Repairstothethermometershouldbemadeusingspecifiedreplacementparts.
• When the thermometer case is opened, do not use.
Caution
Situations or actions which may cause damage to the meter or equipment in testing are listed
below. To avoid damage to the meter or equipment, please use it carefully.
• Select appropriate thermocouple, function grade and measuring range when using the
thermometer.
• Whendual-linemeasurementisused,ensurethatthereisnopotentialdierencebetween
two lines.
• Do not attempt to charge the batteries.
• When installing batteries, note the “+” and “-” polarities of batteries.
Meter Maintenance
Replace Battery
When the battery indicator appears on the thermometer, the battery should be replaced
immediately.
The procedure is:
1.Turnothethermometerpower
2. Release the battery cover screw to remove the battery cover
3. Replace with 9V battery
4. Put the battery cover back and tighten screw.
Clean
When the thermometer surface is dirty and cleaning is required, use a soft cloth or sponge to
wipe gently with a little clear water, soap water or commercial detergent. To avoid damage,
don’t immerse the thermometer in water.

Para realizar un uso adecuado del termómetro, por favor lea detenidamente este manual
de usuario antes de utilizarlo, especialmente la sección “ Información de seguridad”. Se
recomienda que mantenga este manual accesible con el termómetro o en un lugar apropiado
donde pueda consultarlo en cualquier momento.
ADVERTENCIA
Las advertencias indican situaciones o acciones que pueden conllevar peligro para el usuario.
Para evitar shock eléctrico o lesiones personales, por favor siga estos procedimientos:
• Antes de utilizar el termómetro, compruebe la caja para ver si faltan componentes o hay
elementos dañados, especialmente el aislamiento de los terminales. Si el termómetro
parece estar dañado, no lo use.
• Primero, desconecte el termopar y el termómetro antes de abrir la carcasa del termómetro
• Cuando aparece el indicador de batería , la pila debe ser cambiada inmediatamente.
• Si el termómetro no funciona con normalidad, no continúe usándolo. Los elementos
de protección podrían estar dañados. Si tienen cualquier duda, envíe el termómetro al
servicio de reparación.
• No use el termómetro en ambientes con gas explosivo, vapor o polvo.
• No aplique una tensión que exceda la tensión nominal indicada en el termómetro (30V)
entre los termopares o entre el termopar y la tierra.
• Cuando exista una diferencia de potencial entre los termopares, debe utilizarse un
termopar aislado.
• Las reparaciones del termómetro deben realizarse utilizando las piezas de sustitución
especificadas.
• No utilice el termómetro cuando la carcasa esté abierta.
PRECAUCIÓN
Se enumeran a continuación las situaciones o acciones que pueden provocar daños en el
termómetro o al equipo que va a ser comprobado. Para evitar provocar daños al termómetro
o al equipo, por favor úselo con cuidado.
• Seleccione el termopar apropiado, grado de función y escala de medida cuando utilice
el termómetro.
• Cuando se utilice una medición con dos entradas, asegúrese de que no existe una
diferencia de potencial entre ambas entradas.
• No intente recargar las pilas.
• Cuando instale las pilas, observe las polaridades “+” y “-“ de las pilas.
Mantenimiento del termómetro
Reemplace la pila
Cuando el indicador de batería aparece en el termómetro, la pila debe ser reemplazada
inmediatamente.
El procedimiento es:
1. Apague el termómetro
2. Suelte el tornillo de la tapa de la pila para retirarla.
3. Reemplace la pila por una de 9V
4. Vuelva a poner de nuevo la tapa trasera y apriete el tornillo.
Limpieza
Cuandolasuperficiedeltermómetroestésuciayrequieralimpieza,utiliceuntraposuaveo
esponja para limpiarla con un poco de agua, jabón o detergente comercial. Para evitar da-
ños, no sumerja el termómetro en agua.
