What does this warranty

cover?

The warranty covers:

· Damage, breakage or inopera-

bility due to defect.

· Damage not caused by normal

wear and tear or failure to fol-

low the safety and maintenance

instructions provided in the user

manual.

What is not covered by the

warranty?

The warranty does not cover

damage caused by:

· Normal wear and tear of the

product, including fragile parts

(such as switches, glass, etc.);

· Improper use or transport;

· Disregarding safety and mainte-

nance instructions;

· Accidents or acts of nature

(e.g. lightning, ﬁre, water, etc.);

Adjusting the

grinding level

Turn the adjustable screw 10

clockwise for a ﬁner grinding

level (see Fig. C). Turn the

adjustable screw 10 count-

er-clockwise for a coarser

grinding level (see Fig. C).

Note: Choose a coarser setting

if the grinding mechanism stops

rotating when you are using a

very ﬁne setting. If the grinding

mechanism still does not turn, it

may be clogged or blocked. Un-

screw the adjustable screw 10

and loosen the grinding mecha-

nism. Shake the grinding mecha-

nism to remove the stuck pieces,

then tighten the adjustable screw

10 .

Cleaning and

maintenance

Never use

liquids or detergents to pre-

vent product damage.

Only clean the outside of the

product using a soft, dry cloth.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging through

your local recycling facilities and

in compliance with all federal,

state and local regulations.

Please note the pack-

age markings regard-

ing waste separation,

indicated by abbreviations (a)

and numbers (b), meaning: 1–7:

plastics / 20–22: paper and

4. Insert 4 new batteries type

AA 1.5 V (direct current) (LR6).

Note: Pay attention to the

correct polarity. This is shown

in the battery compartment.

5. Fill up the base with con-

tainer 7 with peppercorns

or coarse salt. The best result

will be achieved when ﬁlling

the base with container 7

up to 75 %.

6. Put the motor 4 back on

the base with container 7.

Be sure to place the notch

on the motor 4 marked

with a white arrow into the

respective protrusion on the

base with container 7 (see

Fig. B). Hold the base with

the container 7 ﬁrmly and

turn the motor 4 counter-

clockwise (see Fig. B) until

the arrow on the motor 4 is

aligned with the symbol on

the base with container 7.

Note: Please make sure

that the contacts 5, 6

face each other (see Fig. A).

7. Put the battery cover 2

back on the motor 4. Then

put the top 1 back on the

base with container 7.

8. Hold the base with container

7 ﬁrmly and turn the top 1

counter-clockwise (see Fig. B)

until the arrow on the top 1

aligns with the symbol on the

base with container 7.

Proceed as follows:

1. Hold the base with the con-

tainer 7 ﬁrmly and turn the

top 1 clockwise (see Fig. A)

until the arrow on the top 1

is aligned with the symbol on

the base with container 7.

2. Then remove the top 1 from

the base with container 7.

3. Remove the battery cover 2.

Then, hold the base with the

container 7 ﬁrmly and turn

the motor 4 clockwise (see

Fig. A) until the arrow on the

motor 4 is aligned with the

symbol on the base with con-

tainer 7. Carefully pull the

motor 4 oﬀ the base with

container 7.

Never charge a

battery unless the

battery label spe-

ciﬁcally states the

battery is recharge-

able. Charging a

non-rechargeable

battery, may result

in leakage, ﬁre, or

explosion.

Do not open or mu-

tilate a battery or

cell. Electrolyte from

the cell is corrosive

and can cause dam-
