Congratulations on your purchase. You have selected a qual-
ity product. The instructions for use are a part of the product.
They contain important information about the safety, use and
disposal of the appliance. Before using the product, please
learn about all the safety information and usage instructions.
Only use the product as described and for the specified appli-
cations. If you lend the product to someone else, please also
give all the instructions.
Intended use
This product is suitable for weighing and tare weighing typical
domestic amounts of food. The product is used to determine
the weight and / or volume of non-aggressive, non-corrosive
and non-abrasive liquids or solids. The product is for private
use only and is not intended for medical or commercial use.

This product has delicate electronic
components. This means that if it is

ence. This could be, for example, mo-
bile telephones, walkie talkies, CB
radios, remote controls and microwaves.
If the display indicates a problem, move
such objects away from it.
Electromagnetic interference / high-
frequency emissions can lead to the
product failing. In cases of the product
failing to work remove the battery for a
short while and then replace it. Do this
as described in section “Inserting /
Replacing the Batteries“.

Safety instructions for
batteries
Failure to comply
with these precautions can cause
the cell (battery) to overheat,
leak, or explode.

Store batteries in a dry place at room
temperature. Batteries are sensitive to
high and low temperatures. Such ther-
mal exposure may lead to leakage, fire,
or explosion.
Keep contacts clean, both on the
battery and in the product.
Remove batteries from the product that
will not be used for long periods of time
(months or longer).
Choose the proper battery for the
intended application.
Remove discharged batteries from
equipment promptly to avoid possible
damage from leakage.
Never charge a battery unless the bat-
tery label specifically states the battery
is rechargeable. Charging a non-re-
chargeable battery may result in leak-
age, fire, or explosion.
Exercise care in handling batteries in or-
der to prevent shorting with conducting
materials, such as rings, coins, brace-
lets, and keys. The battery or the con-
ductor can overheat and cause burns.

Never heat batteries in order to revive
them.
Do not dispose of the battery in a fire.
Do not open or mutilate a battery or
cell. Electrolyte from the cell is corrosive
and can cause damage to the eyes or
skin. The cell contents can also be haz-
ardous if ingested.
Dispose of batteries properly and in ac-
cordance with government regulations.
Always take care to correctly insert
batteries observing (+) and (-) polarity
marks on the battery and the product
for which it is intended. The correct po-
larity must be ensured to avoid damage
to either product, charger or batteries.
Keep cells and batteries out of reach of
children, especially small batteries. In-
gestion may lead to choking or acute
and serious personal injury.
Immediately seek medical attention if a
cell or battery has been swallowed.
Also contact your local poison control
center.

In the event that the electrolyte comes
into contact with the skin or eyes, imme-
diately flush with fresh water for at least
15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Always replace the whole set of batter-
ies at one time, taking care not to mix
old and new ones, or batteries of differ-
ent types, capacities, or manufacturers.
Never short-circuit batteries, as this may
lead to high temperatures, leakage, fire,
or explosion.
Batteries should not be disassembled,
crushed, punctured, or otherwise muti-
lated. Such abuses may result in leak-
age, fire, or explosion.

Before use
Note: Remove all packaging materials from the product.
Inserting / replacing the batteries
1. Turn the product over and place it on a soft underlay to
avoid scratching the surface.
2. Remove the battery cover 8.
3. Pull out the battery separation strips.
4. If necessary, reinstall the batteries and close the battery
compartment 9. The product is now ready for use.

Note: Make sure you insert the batteries with the correct
polarity. This is indicated inside the battery compartment 9.
The product is now in clock mode and ready for use.

Clock mode / setting
As soon as the batteries have been inserted, the hour field
on the LC Display 5 begins to blink. To set the hour, press
the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7 or the ▼UNIT button 6.
Press the T-SET button 4 to switch to the minute field.
Press the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7 or ▼UNIT button 6
to set the minutes.
Press the T-SET button 4. The clock is now set.
Note: If you need to reset the time, press and hold the
T-SET button 4 until the time display blinks. Repeat the
steps above.
Setting up the product
Place the product on a solid, flat, non-slip surface.
This product has non-slip rubber feet. Furniture surfaces
may be made of a variety of materials and are treated
with many different types of cleaning agents. Therefore, it
is not possible to entirely exclude the possibility that some
of these materials contain substances that could corrode
and soften the product’s rubber feet. If possible, place a
non-slip mat under the feet of the product.
Operation
Setting the units and the
weighing mode
You can choose between imperial / avoirdupois and metric
units of weight. For the range 0 oz–15.9 oz, the unit of mea-
surement is shown in oz. From 0 g–999 g, the unit of measure-
ment is in g. For the range from 16 oz the unit of measurement
is shown in lb:oz. From 1000 g onwards, the unit of

measurement is in kg. You can also weigh liquids, in which
case briefly press the ▼UNIT button 6 until the desired unit
of measurement is shown the LC display 5.
In the imperial / avoirdupois system:
– Fluid ounces (fl oz) water: “WATER” is shown in the
LC display.
– Fluid ounces (fl oz) milk: “MILK” is shown in the
LC display.
In the metric system:
– Milliliter (ml) water: “WATER” is shown in the
LC display.
– Milliliter (ml) milk: “MILK” is shown in the
LC display.
Press the ON / OFF button 3. The product is now in
weighing mode. The measuring unit is shown below or to
the left of the weight indication in the LC display 5.
Press and hold the ▼UNIT button 6 for about 2 seconds
to change the unit of weight (lb:oz / g).
The weight of “0.0” is shown in the LC display 5. Place
a suitable bowl or container on the weighing platform 2
and press the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7. Again, the
weight “0.0” is shown in the LC display 5. The weight of
the bowl / container is no longer included.
Place the item to be weighed in the bowl / container. The
weight of the item is shown in the LC display 5.
Note: If no button is pressed for 2 minutes and the
weight is not changed, the readout in the LC display 5
always changes back to clock mode.

Tare (TARE function)
You can set the weight to “0.0” again to be able to weigh
another item.
Note: A small circle symbol appears in the left of the LC dis-
play 5 as soon as the product is switched on. A weight of
“0.0” is shown and the product is ready to weigh. The circle
symbol disappears as soon as the TARE function is used.
To do this, press the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7 once. The
message “TARE” appears in the LC display 5. Again, a
weight of “0.0” is shown in the LC display 5.
Place the next item to be weighed in the bowl / container.
The weight of the newly added item is shown in the
LC display 5.
Note: You can repeat this process many times. Never
place more than 11 lb / 5 kg onto the product.
Remove the bowl / container and the weighed item from
the weighing platform 2. Press the ▲ZERO / TARE but-
ton 7. Again, the a weight of “0.0” is shown in the
LC display 5.
Removing weighed items
Press the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7. The message “TARE”
appears in the LC display 5. Again, a weight of “0.0” is
shown in the LC display 5.
Remove the desired amount of the weighed item.
The weight of the item is shown with the minus sign in the
LC display 5 as a negative value.
Note: You can repeat this process many times.
Remove the bowl / container and the weighed product
from the weighing platform 2. Press the ▲ZERO / TARE
button 7. Again, a weight of “0.0” is shown in the
LC display 5.

Setting the timer
The timer can be used in clock as well as weighing mode. It
allows you to set the timer for a specific time period. The timer
will count down and a signal will sound at the end.
Press the T-SET button 4 once in clock mode or twice in
weighing mode. A bell symbol appears in the LC display
5 and the time period to be defined blinks.
Note: You can set the time period precisely to the sec-
ond. Press and hold the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7 or
▼UNIT button 6 to scan through the time readout in the
LC display 5 faster.
Press the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7 or ▼UNIT button 6
to set the time in 10 minute intervals.
Press the T-SET button 4 once to accept the setting. Press
the ▲ZERO / TARE button 7 or ▼UNIT button 6 to set
the time in 1 minute intervals.
Press the T-SET button 4 once. Press the ▲ZERO / TARE
button 7 or ▼UNIT button 6 to set the time in 10 sec-
ond intervals.
Press the T-SET button 4 once. Press the ▲ZERO / TARE
button 7 or ▼UNIT button 6 in set time in 1 second
intervals.
Press the T-SET button 4 to start the countdown.
Note: You can reset the timer. To do this press the T-SET
button 4.
A signal sounds at the end of the set time period. Press
any button to dismiss the alarm.
Switching off the weighing function
Note: If the product has not been used for about 2 minutes it
automatically switches to clock mode.

Press the ON / OFF button 3 to manually return to clock
mode.
Temperature display
The temperature is shown in °F in the lower right of the
LC display 5.
Troubleshooting
– If the LC display 5 shows “Err”, the product is over-
loaded. Remove the excess load. Never place more than
11 lb / 5 kg onto the product.
– If the LC display 5 shows “Lo”, the batteries are low.
Change the batteries.
Note: The message “Lo” only appears in the weighing
mode.
– If the LC display 5 shows “UNST”, wait for a few seconds.
– If the product does not work as expected, change the
batteries.
Cleaning, care and storage
Note: You can hang the product by the hanger 1 for storage.
Never use liquids or detergents, as these will damage the
product.
Only clean the outside of the product using a soft, dry,
lint-free cloth.
For stubborn dirt use a cloth with soapy water or stainless
steel cleaner.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging through your local recy-
cling facilities and in compliance with all federal,
state and local regulations.

Please note the package markings regarding waste
separation, indicated by abbreviations (a) and
numbers (b), meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: pa-
per and cardboard / 80–98: composite materials.
Contact your local waste management authority for
additional information on how to dispose of the
used product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product
properly when it has reached the end of its useful life, do not
throw in the garbage. Information on collection sites and their
opening hours is available from your local authority.
Improper disposal of batteries can
damage the environment!
Never throw batteries in the garbage. They may contain toxic
heavy metals and must be handled as special waste. The
chemical symbols of heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium,
Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Used batteries should therefore be
disposed of through a local collection point.
Warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.

· Damage not accounted for by normal wear and tear or
following the safety and maintenance instructions provided
in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
· Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts
(such as switches, glass, etc.);
· Improper use or transport;
· Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
· Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.).
· Tampering with the product (such as removing cover,
unscrewing screws etc.)
What is the period of coverage and warranty
resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase. At our
discretion, product will either be refunded or replaced.
What will we not do?
We will not:
· Start a new warranty period upon product exchange;
· We will not repair product.

La interferencia electromagnética o las
emisiones de alta frecuencia pueden
hacer que el producto trabaje incorrec-
tamente. En caso de que el producto
deje de funcionar, retire la batería du-
rante un breve momento y vuelva a

Instrucciones de seguridad
para las baterías
Si hace caso
omiso a estas precauciones, se
puede sobrecalentar, chorrear o
explotar la celda (batería).
Almacene la baterías en un lugar seco
a temperatura ambiente. Las baterías
son sensibles a temperaturas altas y
bajas. Este tipo de exposición térmica
pueden hacer que la baterías se cho-
rreen, se incendien o exploten.
Mantenga los contactos limpios, tanto
en la batería como en el producto.

Retire la baterías del producto si no se
va a usar por un periodo prolongado
de tiempo (meses o más).
Elija la batería adecuada para la apli-
cación prevista.
Retire la baterías agotadas del equipo
tan pronto como sea posible para evitar
posibles daños por fugas.
Nunca recargue una batería a menos
que la etiqueta de la batería indique
específicamente que se trata de una
batería recargable. Cargar una batería
no recargable puede hacer que las se
chorreen, se incendien o exploten.
Tenga cuidado al manipular la baterías
para evitar que haya cortocircuito con
materiales conductores, como anillos,
moneras, pulseras y llaves. La batería o
el conductor se pueden sobrecalentar y
provocar quemaduras.
Nunca caliente la baterías para revivirlas.
No elimine la batería en el fuego.
No abra o mutile una batería o celda.
El electrolito de la celda es corrosivo y
puede provocar lesiones en los ojos o

la piel. El contenido de la celda puede
ser peligroso si se ingiere.
Elimine los productos con batería o
celda integrada de forma adecuada y
de acuerdo a las disposiciones guber-
namentales.
Siempre tenga cuidad de insertar la
baterías correctamente, fijándose en las
marcas de polaridad (+) y (-) en la ba-
tería y en el producto para el cual está
diseñada. Se debe tener en cuenta la
polaridad correcta para evitar daños al
producto, al cargador o la baterías.
Mantenga las celdas y la baterías fuera
del alcance de los niños, en especial la
baterías pequeñas. Si se ingieren puede
provocar asfixia o lesiones graves y
agudas.
Busque ayuda médica inmediata se se
ha tragado una celda o batería. De
igual forma, póngase en contacto con
el centro local para el control de intoxi-
caciones.
En caso de que el electrolito entre en
contacto con la piel o los ojos,

enjuague inmediatamente con agua
fresca durante al menos 15 minutos y
solicite atención médica.
Cambie siempre el juego completo de
baterías a la vez, teniendo cuidado de
no mezclar baterías nuevas con viejas,
o baterías de distintos tipos, capacida-
des o fabricantes.
Nunca haga cortocircuito en la baterías,
ya que esto podría provocar altas tem-
peraturas, fugas, incendio o explosión.
No se deben desmontar, aplastar, per-
forar o mutilar la baterías. Este tipo de
acciones pueden hacer que la baterías
se chorreen, se incendien o exploten.

Antes de usar
Nota: retire todos los materiales de empaque del producto.
Insertar / reemplazar las baterías
1. Voltee el producto y colóquelo sobre una superficie suave
para evitar rayar la superficie.
2. Retire la cubierta del compartimiento de las baterías 8.
3. Jale las tiras que aíslan las baterías.
4. Vuelva a instalar las baterías de ser necesario y luego
cierre el compartimiento de las baterías 9. El producto
está listo para ser usado.

Modo/configuración de reloj
Tan pronto como se insertan las baterías, el campo de
hora en la pantalla LC 5 comienza a parpadear. Para
ajustar la hora presione el botón ▲ZERO / TARE 7 o el
botón ▼UNIT 6.
Presione el botón T-SET 4 para cambiar al campo de
minutos.
Presione el botón ▲ZERO / TARE 7 o el botón ▼UNIT 6
para ajustar los minutos.
Presione el botón T-SET 4. El reloj está ajustado ahora.
Nota: si necesita restablecer la hora, mantenga presio-
nado el botón T-SET 4 hasta que parpadee la indica-
ción de hora. Proceda como se describió anteriormente.
Instalación del producto
Coloque el producto sobre una superficie sólida, plana y
antiderrapante.
Este producto está equipado con patas de goma antide-
rrapante. Las superficies de los muebles pueden estar
hechas de distintos materiales y son tratadas con distintos
tipos de limpiadores. Por lo tanto, no es posible excluir
en su totalidad que algunos de estos materiales puedan
contener sustancias que corroan y suavicen las patas de
goma del producto. De ser posible, coloque un tapete
antiderrapante debajo de las patas del producto.

Operación
Ajustar las unidades and
el modo de pesaje
Puede elegir entre unidades de peso imperial es/ avoirdupois
y métricas. Para el rango de 0 oz–15.9 oz, la unidad de me-
dición se muestra en oz. Para 0 g–999 g, la unidad de medi-
ción es g. Para el rango de 16 oz, la unidad de medición se
muestra en lb:oz. De 1000 g en adelante, la unidad de medi-
ción es kg. De igual forma, puede pesar líquidos, para lo cual
presione brevemente el botón ▼UNIT 6 hasta que la uni-
dad de medición deseada se muestre en la pantalla LC 5.
En el sistema imperial / avoirdupois:
– Onzas líquidas (fl´oz) de agua: “WATER” se muestra
en la pantalla LC.
– Onzas líquidas (fl´oz) de leche: “MILK” se muestra
en la pantalla LC.
En el sistema métrico:
– Mililitros (ml) de agua: “WATER” se muestra
en la pantalla LC.
– Mililitros (ml) de leche: “MILK” se muestra
en la pantalla LC.
Presione el botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO 3. El
producto está ahora en modo de pesaje. La unidad de
medición se muestra debajo o a la izquierda de la indica-
ción de peso en la pantalla LC 5.
Mantenga presionado el botón ▼UNIT 6 durante unos
2 segundos para cambiar la unidad de peso (lb:oz / g).
El peso de “0.0” se muestra en la pantalla LC 5. Colo-
que un tazón o un contenedor adecuado en la superficie
de pesaje 2 y presione el botón ▲ZERO / TARE 7.

Nuevamente, el peso “0.0” se muestra en la pantalla LC
5. El peso del tazón/ contenedor ya no se incluye.
Coloque el artículo que se va a pesar en el tazón/ conte-
nedor. El peso del artículo se muestra en la pantalla LC 5.
Nota: si no se presiona un botón durante 2 minutos y el
peso no cambia, la lectura en la pantalla LC 5 siempre
cambiará a modo de reloj.
Tara (función TARE)
Puede poner nuevamente el peso en “0.0”, de forma que
pueda pesar otro artículo.
Nota: aparece un símbolo de circulo a la izquierda de la
pantalla LC 5 tan pronto como se enciende el producto. Se
muestra un peso de “0.0” y está lista para pesar. El símbolo
de círculo desaparece tan pronto como se usa la función TARE.
Para hacerlo, presione el botón ▲ZERO / TARE 7 una
vez. Aparece el mensaje “TARE” en la pantalla LC 5.
Nuevamente, se muestra un peso de “0.0” en la pantalla
LC 5.
Coloque el siguiente artículo que se va a pesar en el
tazón/ contenedor. El peso del nuevo artículo se muestra
en la pantalla LC 5.
Nota: puede repetir este proceso muchas veces. Nunca
coloque más de 11 lb / 5 kg sobre el producto.
Retire el tazón/ contenedor y el artículo pesado de la
superficie de pesaje 2. Presione el botón ▲ZERO /
TARE 7. Nuevamente, se muestra un peso de “0.0” en
la pantalla LC 5.

Retirar el artículo pesado
Presione el botón ▲ZERO / TARE 7. Aparece el
mensaje “TARE” en la pantalla LC 5. Nuevamente, se
muestra un peso de “0.0” en la pantalla LC 5.
Retire la cantidad deseada del artículo pesado. El peso
del artículo se muestra con el signo de menos en la
pantalla LC 5 como valor negativo.
Nota: puede repetir este proceso muchas veces.
Retire el tazón/ contenedor y el producto pesado de la
superficie de pesaje 2. Presione el botón ▲ZERO /
TARE 7. Nuevamente, se muestra un peso de “0.0” en
la pantalla LC 5.
Ajustar el temporizador
El temporizador se puede usar en los modos de reloj y de
pesaje. Esto le permite ajustar el temporizador durante un
periodo de tiempo definido. El tiempo definido corre como
cuenta regresiva y suena una señal al final del periodo.
Presione el botón T-SET 4 una vez en el modo de reloj o
dos veces en el modo de pesaje. Aparece un símbolo de
campana en la pantalla LC 5 y parpadea el intervalo
de tiempo que se va a definir.
Nota: puede ajustar el periodo de tiempo con precisión
de segundos. Mantenga presionado el botón
▲ZERO / TARE 7 o el botón ▼UNIT 6, para que co-
rra más rápido la lectura de tiempo en la pantalla LC 5.
Presione el botón ▲ZERO / TARE 7 o el botón ▼UNIT
6 para ajustar el tiempo en intervalos de 10 minutos.
Presione el botón T-SET 4 una vez para aceptar el
ajuste. Presione el botón ▲ZERO / TARE 7 o el botón
▼UNIT 6 para ajustar el tiempo en intervalos de
1 minuto.

Presione el botón T-SET 4 una vez. Presione el botón
▲ZERO / TARE 7 o el botón ▼UNIT 6 para ajustar el
tiempo en intervalos de 10 segundos.
Presione el botón T-SET 4 una vez. Presione el botón
▲ZERO / TARE 7 o el botón ▼UNIT 6 para ajustar el
tiempo en intervalos de 1 segundo.
Presione el botón T-SET 4 para iniciar la cuenta regresiva.
Nota: puede restablecer el temporizador. Para hacerlo
presione el botón T-SET 4.
Suena una señal tan pronto como termina el periodo de
tiempo establecido. Presione cualquier botón para
apagar la señal.
Apagar la función de pesaje
Nota: si el producto no se ha usado durante unos 2 minutos,
cambia automáticamente a modo de reloj.
Presione el botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO 3 para
regresar manualmente al modo de reloj.
Indicación de temperatura
La temperatura se muestra en °F en la parte inferior derecha
de la pantalla LC 5.
Resolución de problemas
– Si la pantalla LC 5 muestra “Err”, hay demasiado peso
sobre el producto. Retire la carga excesiva. Nunca colo-
que una carga de más de 11 lb / 5 kg sobre el producto.
– Si la pantalla LC 5 muestra “Lo”, las baterías están
bajas. Cambie las baterías.

Nota: el mensaje “Lo” solo aparece en modo de pesaje.
– Si la pantalla LC 5 muestra “UNST”, espere unos
segundos.
– Si el producto no funciona como se espera, cambie las
baterías.
Limpieza, cuidados y almacenamiento
Nota: para almacenarlos, puede colgar el producto usando
el colgador 1.
Por ningún motivo utilice líquidos o detergentes, pues
éstos pueden dañar el producto.
El producto sólo debe ser limpiado por fuera con un
paño suave, seco y sin pelusas.
Para las manchas más persistentes, use un trapo con
agua con jabón o un limpiador de acero inoxidable.
Eliminación
Deshágase del empaque mediante sus instalacio-
nes de reciclaje locales y de acuerdo con las
regulaciones federales, estatales y locales.

Observe las señales del material de empaque
para la separación de residuos, los cuales están
señalados con abreviaturas (a) y números (b) que
significan lo siguiente: 1–7: plásticos / 20–22: pa-
pel y tablero de fibra / 80–98: materiales mixtos.
Contacte a las autoridades locales correspondi-
entes para la eliminación de desechos para mayor
información sobre cómo desechar su producto
desgastado.

Las baterías no deben ser eliminadas con los desechos
del hogar. Éstas pueden contener metales pesados tóxicos
y requieren ser tratadas como desechos especiales. Los sím-
bolos químicos de los metales pesados son: Cd = Cadmio,
HG = Mercurio, Pb = Plomo. Por esta razón es importante
eliminar las baterías usadas en un punto de recolección local.

¿Lo que cubre la presente garantía?
La garantía incluye:
· Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad para funcionar debido a
defectos.
· Daños que no se expliquen por el desgaste propio del uso
o al seguir las instrucciones de seguridad y mantención
incluidas en el manual para el usuario.
¿Lo que no cubre esta garantía?
La garantía no cubre daños causados por:
· El desgaste propio del uso del producto, incluidas las partes
