This product is designed to weigh out and tare amounts
of food. The product is only designed only for house-
hold use, not for medical or commercial purposes. The
manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by im-
proper use.

This product has delicate electronic
components. This means that if it is
placed near an object that transmits
radio signals, it could cause inter-
ference. This could be, for example,
mobile telephones, walkie talkies,
CB radios, remote controls and mi-
crowaves. If the display indicates a
problem, move such objects away
from it.
Electromagnetic interference / high-
frequency emissions can lead to
the product failing. In cases of the
product failing to work, remove the
battery for a short while and then
replace it. Do this as described in
section “Replacing the battery“.
Protect the product from electrostatic
charge / discharge. This could hin-
der the internal data exchange,
which causes errors in the LC dis-
play 2.
Check the product for damage
before use. Never use a damaged

Safety warnings for
batteries
When used correctly, cells and
batteries provide a safe and dep
end-
able source of portable power.

However, if they are misused or
abused, this may result in leakage,
burns, fire, or explosion.
Store batteries in a dry place at
room temperature. Batteries are
sensitive to high and low tempera-
tures. Such thermal exposure may
lead to leakage, fire, or explosion.
Keep cells and batteries out of
reach of children, especially small
batteries. Ingestion may lead to
burns, perforation of soft tissue,
choking, acute and serious personal
injury, or even death. Severe burns
can occur within 2 h of ingestion.
Keep cells or batteries clean and
dry both during use and storage.
Wipe metal terminals with a soft,
dry cloth if they become dirty.
Immediately seek medical attention
if a cell or battery has been swal-
lowed. Also, contact your local
poison control center.
In the event that the electrolyte
comes into contact with the skin or
eyes, immediately flush with fresh
water for at least 15 minutes and
seek medical attention.
Store unused batteries in their orig-
inal packaging or in safe place and
away from metal objects that may
short-circuit them.
Exercise care in handling batteries
in order to prevent shorting with
conduct
ing materials, such as ri
ngs,
coins, bracelets, and keys. The bat-
tery or the conductor can overheat
and cause burns, leakage, fire, or
explosion.
Clean the battery contacts and also
those of the product prior to battery
installation. Keep the con tacts clean.
Remove batteries from the product
that will not be used for an extended
period of time (months or longer).
Remove discharged batteries from
product promptly to avoid possible
damage from leakage.
If the batteries have leaked, you
can remove leaked battery fluids
with a dry, absorbent cloth.
Choose the proper battery for the
intended application.
Always take care to correctly insert
batteries observing (+) and (-) po-
larity marks on the battery and the
product for which it is intended.

Proper polarity must be observed to
avoid damage to either product or
batteries.
Always replace the whole set of
batteries at one time, taking care

ot to mix old and new ones, or ba

teries of different types, capacities,
or manufacturers.
Never heat batteries in order to
revive them.
Never charge a battery unless the
battery label specifically states the
battery is rechargeable. Charging
a non-rechargeable battery, may
result in leakage, fire, or explosion.
Do not open or mutilate a battery
or cell. Electrolyte from the cell is
corrosive and can cause damage
to the eyes or skin. The cell contents
can also be hazardous if ingested.
Do not drop or subject the cell or
battery to strong mechanical shock.
Batteries should not be disassem-
bled, crushed, punctured, or other-
wise mutilated. Such abuses may
result in leakage, fire, or explosion.
Do not dispose of the battery in a
fire. Failure to observe this precau-
tion may result in an explosion.
Dispose of batteries properly and
in accordance with government
regulations.
This product contains 1 lithium button / coin cell battery. If new or used
lithium button / coin cell batteries are swallowed or enter the body,
they can cause severe internal burns and can lead to death in as little
as 2 hours. Do not use the product if you detect any kind of damage
and keep it away from children.
If you think batteries may have been swallowed or placed inside any
part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

INSTRUCTIONS
Before first use
Remove all packaging materials from the product.
Turn the product over and set it on something soft
to avoid scratching the surface. Loosen the screw
6 located at the cover of the battery compartment
5 on the back of the product.
Open the cover of the battery compartment 5 on
the back of the product. Pull out the insulation strip
from the battery compartment 5.
Close the cover of the battery compartment 5
and tighten the screw 6.
Replacing the battery
Turn the product over and set it on something soft to
avoid scratching the surface. Loosen the screw 6
located at the cover of the battery compartment 5
on the back of the product.
Open the cover of the battery compartment 5 on
the back of the product.
If applicable, remove the used battery.
Insert a battery type CR2032 in the battery com-
partment 5.
Note: Make sure you insert the batteries with the
correct polarity. This is indicated on the cover of
the battery compartment 5.
Close the cover of the battery compartment 5
and tighten the screw 6.

Use
Set the product on a solid, level and flat surface
to weigh.
Weighing
Note: Always place the object you wish to weigh ge
ntly
onto the weighing platform 1 to avoid damaging the
glass surface.
To activate the product, you may directly put a load
(e.g. food container) with minimum 8.8 oz (250 g)
onto the weighing platform 1. Alternatively, you
may also press the weighing platform 1 with suffi-
cient force to activate the product. You can always
press the TARE button 3 at any time to set the
zero point.

Place the item you wish to weigh onto the product.
The numerical display 7 will show the weight of
the item you are weighing.
Incremental weighing
Touching the TARE button 3 with the product on
will change the numerical display 7 from the
reading to “0”. The “Tare” symbol 10 will appear.
Note: A slight touch of the TARE button 3 and
the UNIT button 4 is sufficient to operate the
product. Excessive pressure may cause the product
to tilt.
Now add another item to weigh onto the product.
The numerical display 7 will show the weight of
the newly added item.
If you remove the item added to the product, the
numerical display 7 will again read “0”.
If you remove all items from the product, the LC
display 2 will show a negative value indicated
by the minus symbol 9.
Then briefly touch the TARE button 3, and the
“Tare” symbol 10 will disappear.
Important! Be sure never to add more than
11 lb (5 kg) to the weighing surface 1. Overload-
ing the product can damage it.
Changing the unit of measure
The product will display the weight in the traditional
unit of weight “oz” (ounce, 1 oz ~ 28.35 g) or “lb’oz”
(pound:ounce, 1 lb=16 oz=453.59 g), as well as the
official European measuring unit “g” (grams).
When measuring the volume of water, the product
calculates it by the weight using traditional unit of
measure fl’oz (fluid ounces, 1fl’oz ~ 28.41ml) or the
official European unit of volume “ml” (milliliters).
To switch the unit of measure, briefly touch the UNIT
button 4. After each time it is touched, the unit dis-
play 8 will switch to the next unit listed:
oz → lb‘oz → fl‘oz → g → ml
Switching off
Holding the TARE button 3 for 3 seconds will
switch off the product. If no movement is detected
on the weighing platform 1 for 3 minutes and no
button is pressed, the product will automatically
switch off.

Electrostatic discharge can cause malfunctions. If the
product fails to work, briefly remove and reinsert the
batteries.
Cleaning and care
Never immerse the product in water
or other liquids. Doing so may damage the product.
Clean the product with a slightly dampened, fluff-
free cloth. To remove more stubborn dirt, you can
also dampen the cloth with a weak soap solution.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging through your local recycling
facilities and in compliance with all federal, state and
local regulations.

Please note the package markings regard-
ing waste separation, indicated by abbrevi-
ations (a) and numbers (b), meaning: 1–7:
plastics / 20–22: paper and cardboard /
80–98: composite materials.
Contact your local waste management
authority for additional information on
how to dispose of the used product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the
product properly when it has reached the end of its
useful life, do not throw in the garbage. Information on
collection sites and their opening hours is available
from your local authority.
Improper disposal of recharge -
able batteries can damage the
environment!
Never throw rechargeable batteries in the garbage.
They may contain toxic heavy metals and must be han-
dled as special waste. The chemical symbols of heavy
metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Used rechargeable batteries should therefore be dis-
posed of through a local collection point.
Three year limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
· Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or
failure to follow the safety and maintenance
instructions provided in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
· Normal wear and tear of the product, including
fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
· Improper use or transport;
· Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
· Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water,
etc.);
· Tampering with the product (such as removing cover,
unscrewing screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not
covered under this warranty. However, some states do
not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion
may not apply to you.
What is the period of coverage and warranty
resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase.
At our discretion, product will either be refunded or
replaced.

Advertencias de
seguridad para baterías
Cuando se usan correctamente,
las celdas y baterías proporcionan
una fuente segura y confiable de
energía portátil. Sin embargo, si se
usan mal o se maltratan, se puede
provocar fugas, quemaduras, in-
cendio o explosión.
Almacene la baterías en un lugar
seco a temperatura ambiente. Las
baterías son sensibles a
temperatu-
ras altas y baj
as. Este tipo de expo-
sición térmica pueden hacer que la
baterías se chorreen, se incendien
o exploten.
Mantenga las pilas de botón y
baterías, especialmente las
pequeñas, fuera del alcance de
los niños. Su ingestión puede
provocar quemaduras, perforación
de tejido suave, atragantamiento,
heridas graves y serias e incluso la
muerte. Las quemaduras graves
pueden ocurrir dentro de las 2 horas
de ingestión.
Mantenga las celdas o las baterías
limpias y secas durante su uso y
almacenamiento. Limpie las termi-
nales metálicas con un trapo suave
y seco si se ensucian.
Busque ayuda médica inmediata si
se ha tragado una celda o batería.
De igual forma, póngase en contacto
con el centro local para el control
de intoxicaciones.
En caso de que el electrolito entre
en contacto con la piel o los ojos,
enjuague inmediatamente con
agua fresca durante al menos 15
minutos y solicite atención médica.
Almacene las baterías no usadas
en su empaque original o en un
lugar seguro y alejadas de objetos
metálicos que puedan provocarles
cortocircuito.
Tenga cuidado al manipular la
baterías para evitar
que haya

ductores, como anillos, moneras,
pulseras y llaves. La bate
ría o el
conductor se pueden sobrecalentar
y provocar quemaduras, chorrea-
duras, incendio o explosión.
Limpie los contactos de la batería,
tanto en la batería como en el pro-
ducto antes de instalar la batería.
Mantenga los contactos limpios.
Retire la baterías del producto si
no se va a usar por un periodo pro-
longado de tiempo (meses o más).
Retire la baterías agotadas del
producto tan pronto como sea
posible para evitar posibles daños
por fugas.
Si se derraman las baterías, puede
retirar los fluidos de las baterías
con un paño seco y absorbente.

Siempre tenga cuidad de insertar
la baterías correctamente, fiján-
dose en las marcas de polaridad

nos que la etiqueta de la batería

trata de una batería recargable.
Cargar una batería no recargable
puede hacer que las se chorreen,
se incendien o exploten.
No abra o mutile una batería o
celda. El electrolito de la celda es

orrosivo y puede provocar lesio

en los ojos o la piel. El contenido
de la celda puede ser peligroso si
se ingiere.

No deje caer ni someta la celda
o la batería integrada a tensión
mecánica intensa.
No se deben desmontar, aplastar,
perforar o mutilar la baterías. Este
tipo de acciones pueden hacer que
la baterías se chorreen, se incen-
dien o exploten.
No elimine la batería en el fuego.
De lo contrario, se puede provocar
una explosión.
Elimine los productos con batería
o celda integrada de forma ade-
cuada y de acuerdo a las disposi-
ciones gubernamentales.
ADVERTENCIA
Este producto contiene baterías de botón / moneda con litio. En caso
de que una batería de botón / moneda nueva o usada con litio sea
tragada o entre al cuerpo, puede causar quemaduras internas graves
y puede provocar la muerte en menos de 2 horas. Siempre cierre de
forma segura el compartimiento de las baterías. Si el compartimento
para baterías no cierra de forma segura, deje de utilizar el producto,
remueva las baterías y manténgalo alejado de los niños.
Si piensa que las baterías han sido tragadas o colocadas en alguna
parte dentro del cuerpo, busque atención médica de inmediato.

Antes de usar por primera vez
Retire todos los materiales de empaque del pro-
ducto.
Voltee el producto y colóquelo sobre una superficie
suave para evitar rayar la superficie. Afloje el tor-
nillo 6 ubicado en la cubierta del compartimiento
de las baterías 5 en la parte trasera de producto.

Abra la cubierta del compartimiento de las bate-
rías 5 en la parte trasera de producto. Jale la tira
aislante del compartimiento de las baterías 5.
Cierre la cubierta del compartimiento de las bate-
rías 5 y apriete el tornillo 6.
Reemplazar la batería
Voltee el producto y colóquelo sobre una superficie
suave para evitar rayar la superficie. Afloje el tor-
nillo 6 ubicado en la cubierta del compartimiento
de las baterías 5 en la parte trasera de producto.
Abra la cubierta del compartimiento de las bate-
rías 5 en la parte trasera de producto.
Retire la batería usada si hay una.
Inserte una batería tipo CR2032 en el comparti-
miento para las baterías 5.
Nota: asegúrese de insertar las baterías con la
polaridad correcta. Esta se indica en la cubierta
del compartimiento de las baterías 5.
Cierre la cubierta del compartimiento de las
baterías 5 y apriete el tornillo 6.

Operación
Coloque el producto en una superficie sólida,
nivelada y plana para pesar.
Pesar
Nota: siempre coloque con cuidado el objeto que
desea pesar sobre la superficie de pesaje 1 par
evitar dañar la superficie de vidrio.
Para activar el producto, puede colocar directa-
mente una carga (p. ej., un recipiente de comida)
de mínimo 8.8oz (250g) en la superficie de la
báscula 1. También es posible activar el pro-
ducto presionando la superficie de la báscula 1
con algo de fuerza. En cualquier momento puede
presionar el botón TARE 3 para ajustar a ceros.

Coloque el objeto que desea pesar sobre el pro-
ducto. La pantalla numérica 7 mostrará el peso
del artículo que está pesando.
Pesaje en incrementos
Toque el botón TARE 3 con el producto encen-
dido para cambiar la pantalla numérica 7 de
la
lectura a “0”. Aparecerá el símbolo “Tare”

.
Nota: Basta con tocar ligeramente el botón TARE
3 y el botón UNIT 4 para hacer funcionar el
producto. Si se hace demasiada presión, se puede
inclinar el producto.
Ahora añada otro artículo a ser pesado en el pro-
ducto. La pantalla numérica 7 mostrará el peso
del artículo recién añadido.
Si retira el artículo añadido al producto, la pantalla
numérica 7 volverá a mostrar “0”.
Si retira todos los artículos del producto, la panta-
lla LC 2 mostrará un valor negativo, indicado por
el símbolo de menos 9.
Luego toque brevemente el botón TARE 3, y
desaparecerá el símbolo de “Tare” 10 .
¡Importante! Asegúrese de nunca añadir más
de 11 lb (5 kg) sobre la superficie de pesaje 1.
Sobrecargar el producto puede dañarlo.
Cambiar la unidad de medición
El producto mostrará el peso en la unidad tradicional
de peso “oz” (onza, 1 oz ~ 28.35 g) o “lb oz” (libra:
onza, 1 lb=16 oz=453.59 g), así como en la unidad
de medición oficial europea de “g” (gramos).
Al medir el volumen de agua, el producto lo calcula a
partir del peso, usando la unidad tradicional de medi-
ción de fl oz (onzas líquidas, 1fl oz ~ 28.41ml) o en
la unidad de volumen oficial europea de “ml” (mililitros).
Para cambiar la unidad de medición, toque brevemente
el botón UNIT 4. Cada vez que lo toque, la indicación
de unidades 8 pasará a la siguiente unidad marcada:
oz → lb oz → fl oz → g → ml
Apagado
Mantenga presionado el botón TARE 3 durante
3 segundos para apagar el producto. Si no se de-
tecta movimiento sobre la superficie de pesaje 1
durante 3 minutos y no se presiona ningún botón,
se apagará automáticamente el producto.

delicados. Por este motivo es posible que pueda verse
perturbado por equipos de radiotransmisión de los al-
rededores. Si la pantalla LC 2 indica un problema,
aleje los objetos de él.
Las descargas electrostáticas pueden provocar mal
funcionamiento. En caso de que el producto deje de

funcionar, retire las baterías durante un breve momento
y vuelva a colocarlas.
Limpieza y mantenimiento
Nunca sumerja el producto en agua
u otros líquidos. Esto puede dañar el producto.
Limpie el producto con un trapo ligeramente húmedo
y sin pelusas. Para eliminar las manchas más per-
sistentes, también puede usar un trapo húmedo
con un poco de jabón suave.
Eliminación
Deshágase del empaque mediante sus instalaciones
de reciclaje locales y de acuerdo con las regulaciones
federales, estatales y locales.

Observe las señales del material de empaque
para la separación de residuos, los cuales
están señalados con abreviaturas (a) y nú-
meros (b) que significan lo siguiente: 1–7:
plásticos / 20–22: papel y tablero de fi-
bra / 80–98: materiales mixtos.

desechos para mayor información sobre
cómo desechar su producto desgastado.
Para ayudar a proteger el medio ambiente, elimine el
producto adecuadamente al final de su vida útil, no lo
tire en la basura normal. Puede obtener información
de sus autoridades locales sobre los puntos de reco-
lección y horarios de atención.
¡La eliminación inadecuada de las
baterías recargables puede causar
daños ambientales!
Las baterías recargables no deben ser eliminadas con
los desechos del hogar. Éstas pueden contener metales
pesados tóxicos y requieren ser tratadas como desechos
especiales. Los símbolos químicos de los metales pesa-
dos son: Cd = Cadmio, Hg = Mercurio, Pb = Plomo.
Por esta razón es importante eliminar las baterías re-
cargables usadas en un punto de recolección local.
Garantía limitada de 3 años
Lo que cubre la presente garantía
La garantía incluye:
· Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad para funcionar
debido a defectos.
· Daños que no hayan sido causados por el desgaste
propio del uso o por no seguir las instrucciones de
seguridad y mantención incluidas en el manual para
el usuario.
Lo que no cubre esta garantía
La garantía no cubre daños causados por:
· El desgaste propio del uso del producto, incluidas las
partes frágiles (como interruptores, piezas de
vidrio, etc.).
· Uso o transporte no indicado del producto.
· Desatención a las instrucciones de seguridad y
mantención.
· Accidentes o causas de fuerza mayor (e.g. relámpa-
gos, incendio, inundación, etc.).
· Manipulación mal intencionada del producto (retirar
la cubierta, tornillos, etc.).
La presente garantía tampoco cubre daños indirectos
o emergentes. Sin embargo algunos estados no permi-
ten la exclusión o limitación de daños indirectos o

emergentes, por lo que dicha exclusión o limitación
pudiera no aplicarse en su caso.
Período de cobertura y resolución de la
garantía
La garantía es válida por 3 años a partir de la fecha
de compra. La empresa, según lo estime conveniente,
devolverá el dinero o repondrá el producto.
La empresa no:
· Dará inicio a un nuevo período de garantía al hacerse
el cambio del producto.
· Reparará el producto.
