12. Air outlet grille and attachments may
be very hot during use. Allow them to
cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface
while operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair
out of it. Keep your hair away from the
air inlets.
15. To prolong the life of the dryer, keep filters
clean of hair and dust.
16. Do not use with volta ge converter.
For a dual voltage hair dryer:
17. Be sure dual voltage selector is in correct
voltage position before operating. Before
plugging in, read the information about
dual voltage contained in this instruction
section of this manual.
18. This appliance was set at the factory to
operate at 125 volts. Refer to Additional
Information section of this manual for
conversion to 250 volts operation.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for professional
use. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard dryers are designed to operate at
110-125 or 220-250 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE DRYER.
This hair dryer is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water.
To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly,
perform the following test: The purpose of this
test is to allow you to make sure the exclusive
water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in hair dryer and press test button on
plug (see appropriate diagram).
2. Hair dryer will stop working. There will be an
audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button: Unit
should be unplugged. Then push reset
button in, and reinsert plug into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
hair dryer to place of purchase.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs,
this unit be brought to a service center. Do
not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use
hair dryer to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the dryer go off and the ALCI reset
button pop up during use, this could indicate
a malfunction in the dryer. Remove plug from
outlet and allow the dryer to cool. Push the
reset button in and reinsert plug into outlet.
Dryer should function normally. If not, return to
a BabylissPro Service Center for examination
and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair well
with superior quality shampoos, conditioners,
and finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel-blot
hair to remove excess moisture. Section
hair. Using the dryer along with your styling
brush, direct hot air through one section of
hair at a time. Move dryer steadily across
each section so that the hot air passes
through hair. Direct airflow at hair, not
scalp.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed
and free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid overdrying and possible damage
to hair or skin, do not concentrate heat on
one section for any length of time. Keep
dryer moving as you style.
4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before
styling with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and
waves, dry hair almost completely on a
warmer temperature setting, then finish
styling with cooler air.
6. This dryer includes a concentrator
attachment. Use the attachment when you
need drying power in a small area (such
as a curl or a wave), or when you want to
relax curly hair.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
FOR DUAL-VOLTAGE DRYERS
For use in the North America, the voltage
selector switch should be placed in the 125
position. For use in several countries overseas,
the voltage selector may need to be placed in
the 250 position. Confirm the voltage available
at each overseas location before using the
appliance. For connection to a 240-volt supply,
use an attachment plug adapter of the proper
configuration for the power supply.
For 110-125 Volt Operation
Flick the dual voltage switch to the
125 position. In this position, the dryer has
two settings. It provides two speeds and two
heats—low speed and low heat on LO and
high speed and high heat on HI.
For 220-250 Volt Operation
Flick the dual voltage switch to the 250
position. In this position, the dryer has two
settings. It provides two speeds and two heats
— low speed and low heat on LO and high
speed and high heat on HI.
USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance-free. No
lubrication is needed. The dryer must be kept
clean for proper operating performance. When
cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, allow to
cool and clean dust and lint from air intake
openings with a small brush or the brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer should be wiped clean
with a damp cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat cycles
off, turn the dryer off, unplug the cord, and
allow the dryer to cool for 10 to 15 minutes
before restarting. Make sure the air vents are
clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop
use immediately if damage is visible or unit
stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not
operate properly, return it for repair to place of
purchase or an authorized BabylissPro service
representative only. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.
STORAGE – IMPORTANT
When not in use, your dryer should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrap line cord around dryer. Allow the cord
to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of
entry into the dryer.
LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY
BabylissPro will repair or replace (at our
option) your unit free of charge for 12
months from the date of purchase if the
appliance is defective in any workmanship
or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty,
return the defective product to the service
center listed below, together with your
purchase receipt and $15.00 for postage
and handling. California residents need only
provide proof of purchase and should call
1-800-326-6247 for shipping instructions.
In the absence of a purchase receipt, the
warranty period shall be 12 months from
the date of manufacture.

Este aparato fue diseñado para uso
profesional. Úselo solamente con Corriente
Alterna (60 hertzios). Los secadores estánares
están diseñados para funcionar con Corriente
Alterna de 110-125 ó 220-250 voltios.
Este aparato tiene una clavija polarizada (un
polo es más ancho que otro). Como medida
de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola
manera en la toma de corriente polarizada. Si
no entra por completo, inviértela. Si aún no
entra completamente, llame a un electricista
calificado. No intente vencer esta función de
seguridad.
PRUEBE EL SISTEMA DE SEGURIDAD ALCI

Este aparato está dotado de un sistema
de detección del agua ALCI (Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter). Aquel sistema
de seguridad apaga el secador en caso de

Si el secador se apagara y el enchufe saltara
durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal
funcionamiento. En tal caso, desenchufe

GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER MODELADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un buen
recorte de cabello bien mantenido. Siempre
cuide su cabello con los champúes,
acondicionadores y productos de acabado de
calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione el cabello con los
productos de su elección. Enjuáguelo
completamente. Séquelo con una toalla
para eliminar el exceso de agua. Divida el
cabello. Usando el secador y un cepillo de
modelado simultáneamente, dirija el aire
caliente hacia cada sección de cabello por
separado. Mueva el secador regularmente
por cada sección de modo que el aire
caliente pase por el cabello. Dirija el flujo
de aire al cabello, no al cuero cabelludo.
2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato
sin obstrucciones y libres de cabello
mientras lo esté usando
3. Para evitar el secado excesivo o daños al
cabello o a la piel, no concentre el calor
en sólo una sección durante un tiempo
prolongado. Mantenga el secador en
movimiento mientras modela.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,
rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello
antes de modelar con el secador
5. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles y
ondas, seque el cabello casi por completo
a una mayor temperatura, luego termine el
modelado con aire frío
6. Su aparato incluye una boquilla

pequeña, como una onda o un rizo, o

INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL
PARA LOS APARATOS DE DOBLE VOLTAJE
Ponga el selector de voltaje en la posición
“125” para uso en los Estados Unidos y en
la posición “250” para uso en países con

Averigüe el voltaje antes de enchufar el

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su secador casi no necesita mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.
Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfelo,
déjelo enfriar y saque el polvo y las pelusas de
las aberturas de aire con un cepillo pequeño
o el cepillo accesorio de una aspiradora. La
superficie exterior del secador sólo se debe
limpiar con un paño húmedo.
El secador se recalentará si las aberturas
de aire están bloqueadas u obstruidas. En
tal caso, un sistema de seguridad automático
apagará el secador o cortará la temperatura
para evitar daños o lesiones personales. Si
esto sucede, desenchufe el aparato y deje que
enfríe de 10 a 15 minutos antes de encenderlo
de nuevo. Asegúrese que las ventilaciones de
aire estén limpias.
PRECAUCIÓN
No jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable
eléctrico. Nunca lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor
del secador, ya que podría dañar la junta
flexible que lo conecta al secador, produciendo
así su ruptura o un cortocircuito. Inspeccione
el cable con frecuencia para asegurarse que
no esté dañado. Deje de usar el aparato
inmediatamente si el cable parece dañado,
si el aparato deja de funcionar o funciona de
manera intermitente.
Si el cable o el aparato están dañados o no
funcionan correctamente, llévelo adonde lo
compró o a un centro de servicio autorizado
únicamente. No trate de efectuar ninguna
reparación usted mismo.
ALMACENAJE – IMPORTANTE
Cuando no lo utiliza, debe desconectar el
aparato, dejarlo enfriar y guardarlo en un lugar
seco y seguro, fuera del alcance de los niños.
No enrolle el cable alrededor del aparato. Deje
que el cable cuelgue o que la junta que lo
conecta al secador esté suelta y recta.
GARANTÍA LIMITADA POR UN AÑO
BabylissPro reparará o remplazará (a su
opción) su aparato sin cargo por un período
de 12 meses a partir de la fecha de compra
si presentara defectos de materiales o
fabricación.
Para obtener servicio técnico bajo esta
garantía, regrese su aparato al Centro de
Servicio indicado a continuación, junto con su
recibo de compra y un cheque o giro postal
de $15.00US por gastos de manejo y envío.
Los residentes de California sólo necesitan
dar una prueba de compra y deben llamar al
1-800-326-6247 para recibir instrucciones de
envío. En ausencia del recibo de compra, el
período de garantía será de 12 meses a partir
de la fecha de fabricación.
CUALQUIERA GARANTÍA, OBLIGACIÓN
O RESPONSABILIDAD IMPLÍCITAS,
INCLUYENDO PERO NO LIMITADAS A LA
