16. Do not use with voltage converter.
17. Be sure dual voltage selector is in correct
voltage position before operating. Before
plugging in, read the information about dual
voltage contained in this instruction section
of this manual.
18. This appliance was set at the factory to
operate at 125 volts. Refer to Additional
Information section of this manual for
conversion to 250 volts operation.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for professional
use. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard dryers are designed to operate at 110-
125 or 220-250 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE DRYER.
This hair dryer is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature
that renders it inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as immersion in water.
To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly,
perform the following test: The purpose of this
test is to allow you to make sure the exclusive
water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in hair dryer and press test button on plug
(see appropriate diagram).
2. Hair dryer will stop working. There will be an
audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button: Unit should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return hair
dryer to place of purchase.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not
try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use hair
dryer to confirm ALCI is operational.
7. Should the dryer go off and the ALCI reset
button pop up during use, this could indicate
a malfunction in the dryer. Remove plug
from outlet and allow the dryer to cool. Push
the reset button in and reinsert plug into
outlet. Dryer should function normally. If not,
return it to a Babyliss Pro Service Center for
examination and repair.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
FOR DUAL-VOLTAGE DRYERS
For use in the North America, the voltage
selector switch should be placed in the 125
position. For use in several countries overseas,
the voltage selector may need to be placed in
the 250 position. Confirm the voltage available
at each overseas location before using the
appliance. For connection to a 240-volt supply,
use an attachment plug adapter of the proper
configuration for the power supply.
For 110-125 Volt Operation
Flick the dual voltage switch to the 125 position.
In this position, the dryer has two settings. It
provides two speeds and two heats—low speed
and low heat on LO and high speed and high
heat on HI.
For 220-250 Volt Operation
Flick the dual voltage switch to the 250 position.
In this position, the dryer has two settings. It
provides two speeds and two heats — low
speed and low heat on LO and high speed and
high heat on HI.
USER
MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance-free. No
lubrication is needed. The dryer must be kept
clean for proper operating performance. When
cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, allow to cool
and clean dust and lint from air intake openings
with a small brush or the brush attachment of a
vacuum cleaner. The outer surface of the dryer
should be wiped clean with a damp cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will cause
the dryer to overheat. If overheating occurs, an
automatic safety device will shut the dryer or the
heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If
the unit or the heat cycles off, turn the dryer off,
unplug the cord, and allow the dryer to cool for
10 to 15 minutes before restarting. Make sure
the air vents are clean.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel-blot
hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair.
Using the dryer along with your styling brush,
direct hot air through one section of hair at a
time. Move dryer steadily across each section
so that the hot air passes through hair. Direct
airflow at hair, not scalp.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and
free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid overdrying and possible damage to
hair or skin, do not concentrate heat on one
section for any length of time. Keep dryer
moving as you style.
4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before
styling with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and
waves, dry hair almost completely on a warmer
temperature setting, then finish styling with
cooler air.
6. This dryer includes a concentrator attachment.
Use the attachment when you need drying
power in a small area (such as a curl or a
wave), or when you want to relax curly hair.

is stable in ultra-high temperatures. The Titanium
technology uses micro particles of titanium
that provide the ultimate heat performance for
beautiful, healthy hair results. Titanium yields
maximum far-infrared heat – penetrating the hair
from within for gentle drying without damage.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the dryer. Damage will occur at
the high flex point of entry into the dryer, causing
it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord
frequently for damage. Stop use immediately
if damage is visible or unit stops or operates
intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not
operate properly, return it for repair to place
of purchase or an authorized Babyliss Pro
service representative only. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.
STORAGE – IMPORTANT
When not in use, your dryer should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrap line cord around dryer. Allow the cord
to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of
entry into the dryer.
LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY
BabylissPro will repair or replace (at our option)
your unit free of charge for 12 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in
any workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service center
listed on back, together with your purchase
receipt and $15.00 for postage and handling.
California residents need only provide proof
of purchase and should call 1-800-326-6247
for shipping instructions. In the absence of a
purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be 12

CUERPO Y VOLUMEN

PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE SEGURIDAD

INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su secador casi no necesita mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio. Cuando
sea necesario limpiarlo, desconéctelo, permita que
enfríe y saque el polvo y las pelusas de las aberturas
de aire con un cepillo pequeño o el cepillo accesorio
de una aspiradora. La superficie exterior del secador
sólo se debe limpiar con un paño limpio.
El secador se recalentará si las aberturas de
aire estuvieran bloqueadas u obstruidas. Si
esto ocurriera, un sistema de seguridad apagará el
secador o cortará la temperatura automáticamente
para evitar daños al aparato o heridas. Si esto
sucediera, desenchufe el aparato y permita que
enfríe durante 10 a 15 minutos antes de encenderlo
de nuevo. Asegúrese que las ventilaciones de aire
estén limpias.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEINADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un recorte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabello
con champúes, acondicionadores y productos de
acabado de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los productos
deseados. Enjuáguelo bien y séquelo con una

cabello en secciones. Seque el cabello usando

el cepillo debajo de cada sección de cabello y dirija

del cabello. Mueva el cepillo y el secador lenta y
simultáneamente hasta las puntas, dirigiendo el
flujo de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el cuero
cabelludo.
2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato sin
obstrucciones y libres de pelo.
3. Para no lastimar el cabello, no concentre el flujo
de aire en una sección solamente.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados,
rocíe un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes de
secarlo.
5. Cuando use el secador para crear bucles y ondas,
seque el cabello casi por completo usando un
ajuste de temperatura bajo, luego fije el peinado
usando el disparo de aire frío. Esto reducirá aún
más la electricidad estática y agregará brillo, para
un acabado perfecto.
6. Este secador incluye una boquilla concentradora
de aire. Utilice la boquilla concentradora cuando
necesite secar rápidamente una sección
pequeña, como una onda o para alisar el cabello.

6. Nunca bloquee las aberturas de aire ni coloque

12. Las rejillas y los accesorios pueden volverse
muy calientes durante el uso. Permita que
enfríen antes de manipularlos.
13. No coloque el aparato en ninguna superficie
mientras esté funcionando.
14. Mantenga su cabello alejado del aparato y de
las aberturas de aire mientras esté funcionando.
15. Para prolongar la vida útil del aparato, mantenga
el filtro de aire libre de cabellos, polvo y
elementos similares.
16. No utilice este aparato con un convertidor de
voltaje.
17. Asegúrese que el selector de voltaje esté en la
posición correcta antes de encender el aparato.
Lea la información relativa al doble voltaje antes
de conectar el aparato al tomacorriente.
18. El selector de voltaje fue puesto en la posición
“125” por el fabricante, para uso en red de 125
voltios. La sección “Información Adicional” de
este manual le explicará como ajustar el voltaje
para uso en red de 250 voltios.

Este aparato fue diseñado para uso profesional.
Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna (60 hertzios).
Los secadores estánares están diseñados para
funcionar con Corriente Alterna de 110-125 ó 220-
250 voltios.
Este aparato tiene una clavija polarizada (un polo es
más ancho que otro). Como medida de seguridad,
se podrá enchufar de una sola manera en la toma
de corriente polarizada. Si no entra por completo,
inviértela. Si aún no entra completamente, llame
a un electricista calificado. No intente vencer esta
función de seguridad.
