2. Intended purpose

Use this Tower fan to circulate air in dry

indoor areas.

The device is designed for private, do-

mestic use. The device must only be

used indoors.

This device must not be used for com-

mercial purposes.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE OPERATION

Never insert fingers, pencils, or any other object through the grille

when the fan is connected to its power source.

Disconnect fan when moving from one location to another.

Disconnect fan when removing grilles for cleaning.

Be sure fan is on a stable surface when operating to avoid over-

turning.

Do not use fan in window. Rain may create electrical hazard.

Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before re-

moving the grille.

Rules about cord and plug

This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indi-

cates an overload or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug

the product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the user servic-

ing instructions (follow product marking for proper fuse rating) and

check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-circuit may

be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an

authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan

or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or

repair.

Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw

rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furni-

ture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where

it will not be tripped over.

If the mains power cable of this device should become damaged, it

must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer

service department or a similarly qualified specialist, in order to

avoid any hazards.

This device is not intended to be operated using an external timer

clock or a separate remote control system.

It is the best not to be exposed to a continuous cold air stream for a

long period of time (esp. children and elders).

Do not use the fan in very hot or humid environments, such as bath-

rooms.

Keep the fan away from lace curtains, fire, etc.

Do not connect the appliance to its power source until completely

assembled and adjusted.

Do not place clothing items or other objects on the appliance.

The fan should not be operated without a base, nor used lying on

its side.

Risk for babies and children

~To avoid danger of suffocation,

keep this plastic bag away from ba-

bies and children. Do not use this

bag in cribs, beds, carriages, or

playpens. This bag is not a toy.

~Children should be supervised to

ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.

~Keep the device out of the reach of

children.

Risk to or from pets and livestock

~Electrical devices can represent a

hazard to pets and livestock. In ad-

dition, animals can also cause dam-

age to the device. For this reason

you should keep animals away from

electrical devices at all times.

Risk of electric shock due to

moisture

~The base, the mains power cable

and the mains plug must not be im-

mersed in water or any other liq-

uids.

~Protect the device from moisture,

water drops and water spray. Fail-

ure to observe this instruction may

result in an electrical shock hazard.

~If liquid gets into the device, pull out

the mains plug immediately. Have

the device checked before reusing.

~Never touch the device with wet

hands.

~If the device has fallen into water,

pull out the mains plug immediately,

and only then remove the device

from the water. Do not use the de-

vice again, and have it checked by

a specialist.

Risk of electric shock

~This appliance has a polarized plug

(one blade is wider than the other).

To reduce the risk of electric shock,

this plug is intended to fit in a polar-

ized outlet only one way. If plug

does not fit fully in the outlet, re-

verse the plug. If it still does not fit,

contact a qualified electrician. Do

not attempt to defeat this safety fea-

ture.

~To reduce the risk of fire or electric

shock, DO NOT use this fan with

any solid-state speed control devic-

es.

~Never switch on the device if there

is visible damage to the device or

the power cable, or if the device

has been dropped before.

Only connect the mains plug to a

properly installed and easily accessi-

ble wall socket whose voltage corre-

sponds to the specifications on the

rating plate. The wall socket must

continue to be easily accessible after

the device is plugged in.

~Ensure that the power cable cannot

be damaged by sharp edges or hot

surfaces.

~Do not fold and crush the power ca-

ble.

~When using the device, ensure that

the power cable cannot be trapped

or crushed.

~The device is not fully disconnected

from the power supply, even after it

is switched off. In order to fully dis-

connect it, pull out the mains plug.

~When removing the mains plug

from the wall socket, always pull the

plug and never the cable.

~Disconnect the mains plug from the

wall socket...

~Do not use any astringent or abra-

~Plastic parts should be cleaned with

mild soap and a damp cloth or

sponge. Thoroughly to remove soap

film with clean water.

Unpacking

1. Remove all parts from the packag-

ing.

2. Check that all parts are present

and intact.

6. Assemble appliance

Before the device can be switched on

for the first time, the stand8 must be

screwed on:

1. Figure A: assemble the rear half

of the stand10 and the front half

of the stand11. Ensure that the

connection audibly clicks into

place.

NOTES:

• The rear half of the stand10 can

be recognized from the recess for

the mains power cable9.

• Ensure that the mains power ca-

ble12 lies in the recess for the mains

power cable9.

2. Figure B: place the tower fan1

onto the stand8. Ensure that it

stands up in a stable manner, and

that the mains power cable12 lies

in the recess for the mains power

cable9.

3. For safety reasons, screw the tower

fan1 firmly onto the stand8. For

this purpose, use the screw sup-

plied.

4. Select a location that complies with

the safety instructions (see

“IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS” on

page 4).

5. Insert the mains plug into a wall

socket corresponding to the techni-

cal data.

7. Operation

7.1 Start and switch off the

appliance

1. Plug the mains plug into a wall

socket that meets the technical data

requirements.

2. Switch on the power

supply by turning

rotary switch2 to

ON.

The appliance is now

operational.

3. Switch off the power

supply by turning

rotary switch2 to

OFF.

7.2 Set fan setting

The fan settings are used to select how

fast the appliance circulates air in the

room.

The appliance has three fan settings:

- 1, low: press button6;

- 2, moderate: press button4;

- 3, high: press button3.

Press the7 OFF button to stop the appli-

ance.

7.3 Set running time

The appliance has a timer, which you

can use to set the desired running time

to between 0 and 120 minutes.

1. Switch on the timer by

turning rotary switch2

to any time between 0

and 120 minutes. The

power supply is

switched on at the

same time.

2. To switch off the timer, set rotary-

switch2 to OFF.

NOTES:

• Setting the time back is not possible

as the tower has a mechanical tim-

er.

• If you want the appliance to oper-

ate continuously, set the rotary

switch2 to ON.

7.4 Oscillation function

The appliance has an oscillation func-

tion.

This causes the appliance to move to

and fro, distributing the air produced

evenly throughout the room.

1. Switch on the oscillation function

by pressing button for oscillation

function5.

2. Switch off the oscillation function

by pressing button for oscillation

function5 again.

8. Cleaning

To ensure your appliance gives you last-

ing service, you should clean it regular-

ly.

Risk of electric shock

~Pull out the mains plug before each

cleaning.

~Never immerse the appliance in

water.

~Never allow water or cleaning

agent to run into the appliance.

Risk of material damage

~Do not use any astringent or abra-

sive cleaning agents.

1. Carefully remove major dust depos-

its with a vacuum cleaner.

2. Clean the outside of the appliance

with a damp cloth. You could also

use a little dish soap.

3. Wipe the appliance with a cloth

moistened with clear water.

4. Do not use the appliance again

until it has dried completely.

9. User Servicing

Instructions

1. Grasp plug and remove from the

receptacle or other outlet device.

Do not unplug by pulling on cord.

2. Open fuse cover. Slide open fuse

access cover on top of attachment

plug towards blades.

3. Remove fuse carefully. Insert the tip

of your tool into fuse slot (close with

the terminal), then prize the fuse

gradually and slowly, but not over-

exert. If you feel tight, you can try it

at several times and prize the fuse

little by little. When one side of the

fuse has been prized, then you can

get the fuse out entirely.

4. Risk of fire! Replace fuse only with

the 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.

5. Close fuse cover. Slide closed the

fuse access cover on top of attach-

ment plug.

6. Risk of fire! Do not replace attach-

ment plug. Contains a safety

device (fuse) that should not be

removed. Discard product if the

attachment plug is damaged.

NOTICE:

• When you replace the fuse, please

don‘t operate suddenly or overex-

ert, or else the product will be dam-

age or cause accident.

• When you feel it hard to be operat-

ed, please make sure you have got

the right way.

10. Disposal

This appliance must not be disposed of

as household garbage.

If the electrical appliance is no longer

be used, it must be handed over to the

relevant local public waste authorities

for disposal.

As a rule, these waste disposal authori-

ties run special reception units for elec-

trical appliances (recycling centers,

materials recovery centers etc.).

What does this warranty

cover?

The warranty covers:

- Damage, breakage, or inoperabili-

ty due to defect.

- Damage not caused by normal

wear and tear or failure to follow

the safety and maintenance instruc-

tions provided in the user manual.

What is not covered by the

warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage

caused by:

- Normal wear and tear of the prod-

uct, including fragile parts (such as

switches, glass, etc.);

- Improper use or transport;

- Disregarding safety and mainte-

- Accidents or acts of nature (e.g.,

lightening, fire, water, etc.);

INSTRUCCIONES DE

FUNCIONAMIENTO SEGURO

Nunca introduzca los dedos, lápices ni cualquier otro objeto a tra-

vés de la rejilla cuando el ventilador esté conectado a su fuente de

poder.

Desconecte el ventilador cuando lo mueva de un lugar a otro.

Desconecte el ventilador cuando quite las rejillas para limpiarlo.

Asegúrese de que el ventilador esté sobre una superficie estable

cuando esté funcionando, para evitar que se vuelque.

No use el ventilador en ventanas. La lluvia puede crear riesgos

eléctricos.

Asegúrese de que el ventilador esté desconectado del suministro

eléctrico antes de quitar la rejilla.

Normas sobre el cable y el enchufe

Este producto usa protección contra sobrecargas (fusible). Un fusible

quemado indica una situación de sobrecarga o cortocircuito. Si el fu-

Riesgo de descarga eléctrica

~Este aparato tiene un enchufe pola-

5. Conecte el enchufe a un toma-

corriente como el que se indica en

los datos técnicos.

7. Funcionamiento

7.1 Encender y apagar el

aparato

7.2 Ajustar el nivel de

ventilación

Con los niveles de ventilación se selec-

ciona la rapidez con la que el aparato

hace circular el aire en la habitación.

El aparato tiene tres niveles de ventila-

ción:

- 1, bajo: presione el botón6;

- 2, moderado: presione el bo-

tón4;

- 3, alto: presione el botón3.

Presione el botón7 OFF para detener

el aparato.

7.3 Ajustar la duración de

funcionamiento

No use ningún astringente o producto

limpiador abrasivo.

El aparato tiene un temporizador con el

que se puede ajustar el tiempo de fun-

cionamiento deseado entre 0 y 120 mi-

nutos.

1. Encienda el tempori-

zador pasando el

interruptor girato-

rio2 en cualquier

duración entre 0 y

120 minutos. La ali-

mentación de electricidad se

conecta simultáneamente.

2. Para apagar el temporizador,

ajuste el interruptor giratorio2 en

OFF.

AVISO:

• No es posible ajustar el tiempo de

retorno ya que la torre tiene un tem-

porizador mecánico.

• Si quiere hacer que el aparato tra-

baje en funcionamiento continuo,

pase el interruptor giratorio2 a

ON.

7.4 Función de oscilación

El aparato dispone de una función de

oscilación.

Esta hace que el aparato gire en dos di-

recciones y que, de esta forma, el aire

que sale de él se distribuya uniforme-

mente por la habitación.

1. Active la función de oscilación pul-

sando el botón de función de osci-

lación5.

2. Desactive la función de oscilación

pulsando de nuevo el botón de fun-

ción de oscilación5.

8. Limpieza

Para poder disfrutar del aparato duran-

te mucho tiempo, debe limpiarlo con re-

gularidad.

~Desconecte el enchufe de alimenta-

ción antes de cada limpieza.

~No sumerja nunca el aparato en

agua.

Riesgo de daños materiales

~No use ningún astringente o pro-

ducto limpiador abrasivo.

1. Retire cuidadosamente las gran-

des acumulaciones de polvo con

una aspiradora.

2. Limpie el exterior del aparato con

un paño húmedo. También puede

aplicar un poco de detergente

lavaplatos.

3. Limpie el aparato con un paño

humedecido en agua limpia.

4. No use el aparato de nuevo hasta

que este se haya secado completa-

mente.

9. Instrucciones de uso

1. Agarre el enchufe y quítelo del recep-

táculo o de otro dispositivo de toma-

corriente. No lo desenchufe halando

el cable.

2. Abra la cubierta del fusible. Des-

lice para abrir la cubierta de

acceso del fusible ubicada en la

parte superior del enchufe hacia

las cuchillas.

3. Retire el fusible con cuidado. Intro-

duzca la punta de su herramienta

en la ranura del fusible (cerca del

terminal), luego abra haciendo

palanca gradual y lentamente,

pero no haga mucho esfuerzo. Si

siente que está muy apretado,

puede intentar varias veces y abrir

haciendo palanca con el fusible

poco a poco. Una vez que se haya

abierto el fusible haciendo

palanca por un lado, puede

sacarlo por completo.

4. ¡Riesgo de fuego! Cambie los fusi-

bles solo por fusibles de 2,5 Amp,

125Volt.

5. Cierre la cubierta del fusible. Deslice

para cerrar la cubierta de acceso del

fusible ubicada en la parte superior

del enchufe.

6. ¡Riesgo de fuego! No cambie el

enchufe. Contiene un dispositivo de

seguridad (fusible) que no debe reti-

rarse. Deseche el producto si el

enchufe está dañado.

AVISO:

• Cuando remplace el fusible, no en-

cienda el aparato repentinamente ni

haga un esfuerzo excesivo, o de lo

contrario el producto se dañará o

causará un accidente.

• Cuando perciba que es difícil de

utilizar, asegúrese de haber coloca-

do todo adecuadamente.

10. Eliminación

Este equipo no se debe desechar con la

basura doméstica normal.

12. Consejos de FCC

La garantía incluye:

- Daños que no hayan sido causados

Lo que no cubre esta garantía

La garantía no cubre daños causados por:

- Uso o transporte no indicado del

producto.

- Desatención a las instrucciones de
