INTRODUCTION
This manual will help you get the most from your Nil sk-Advance™ Sweeper / Scrubber. Read it thoroughly before operating the machine.
References to “right” and “left” in this manual mean right or left as seen from the driver’s seat.
Note: Bold numbers in parentheses indicate an item illustrated on pages A-8 – 11.
PARTS AND SERVICE
Repairs, when required, should be performed by your Authorized Nil sk-Advance Service Center, who employs factory trained service
personnel, and maintains an inventory of Nil sk-Advance original replacement parts and accessories.
Call the NILFISK-ADVANCE INDUSTRIAL DEALER named below for repairs or service. Please specify the Model and Serial Number when
discussing your machine.

The Model Number and Serial Number of your machine are shown on the Nameplate, located on the wall of the operator’s compartment.
This information is needed when ordering repair parts for the machine. Use the space below to note the Model Number and Serial Number of
your machine for future reference.

UN-CRATING
Upon delivery, carefully inspect the shipping crate and the machine for damage. If damage is evident, save all parts of the shipping crate so
that they can be inspected by the trucking company that delivered the machine. Contact the trucking company immediately to le a freight
damage claim.
1 After removing the crate, remove the wooden blocks next to the wheels.
2 Check the engine oil and coolant levels.
3 Check the hydraulic oil level.
4 Read the instructions in the Preparing the Machine For Use section of this manual, then ll the fuel tank.
6 Place a ramp next to the front end of the pallet.
7 Read the instructions in the Operating Controls and Operating the Machine sections of this manual and start the engine. Slowly drive
the machine forward down the ramp to the oor. Keep your foot lightly on the brake pedal until the machine is off the pallet.
CAUTION!
Use extreme CAUTION when operating this machine. Be certain that you are thoroughly familiar with all operating instructions
before using this machine. If you have any questions, contact your supervisor or your local Nil sk-Advance Industrial Dealer.
If the machine malfunctions, do not try to correct the problem unless your supervisor directs you to do so. Have a quali ed
company mechanic or an authorized Nil sk-Advance Dealer service person make any necessary corrections to the equipment.
Use extreme care when working on this machine. Loose clothing, long hair, and jewelry can get caught in moving parts. Turn
the Key Ignition Switch OFF and remove the key before servicing the machine. Use good common sense, practice good safety
habits and pay attention to the yellow decals on this machine.
Drive the machine slowly on inclines. Use the Brake Pedal (FF) to control machine speed while descending inclines. DO NOT
turn the machine on an incline; drive straight up or down.
The maximum rated incline for sweeping and scrubbing is 6°. The maximum rated incline during transport is 8°.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Speci c Cautions and Warnings are included to warn you of potential danger of machine damage or bodily harm.
DANGER!
* This machine emits exhaust gases (carbon monoxide) that can cause serious injury or death, always provide adequate
ventilation when using machine.
WARNING!
* This machine shall be used only by properly trained and authorized persons.
* While on ramps or inclines, avoid sudden stops when loaded. Avoid abrupt sharp turns. Use low speed down hills. Clean
only while ascending (driving up) the ramp.
* To avoid hydraulic oil injection or injury always wear appropriate clothing and eye protection when working with or near
hydraulic system.
* Turn the key switch off (O) and disconnect the batteries before servicing electrical components.
* Never work under a machine without safety blocks or stands to support the machine.
* Do not dispense ammable cleaning agents, operate the machine on or near these agents, or operate in areas where
ammable liquids exist.
* Do not clean this machine with a pressure washer.
CAUTION!
* This machine is not approved for use on public paths or roads.
* This machine is not suitable for picking up hazardous dust.
* Use care when using scari er discs and grinding stones. Nil sk-Advance will not be held responsible for any damage to oor
surfaces caused by scari ers or grinding stones.
* When operating this machine, ensure that third parties, particularly children, are not endangered.
* Before performing any service function, carefully read all instructions pertaining to that function.
* Do not leave the machine unattended without rst turning the key switch off (O), removing the key and applying the parking
brake.
* Turn the key switch off (O) before changing the brushes, and before opening any access panels.
* Take precautions to prevent hair, jewelry, or loose clothing from becoming caught in moving parts.
* Use caution when moving this machine in below freezing temperature conditions. Any water in the solution or recovery tanks
or in the hose lines could freeze.
* Before use, all doors and hoods should be properly latched.

HOPPER SAFETY SUPPORT
WARNING!
Make sure the Hopper Safety Support (KK) is in place whenever
attempting to do any maintenance work under or near the raised
hopper. The Hopper Safety Support (KK) holds the hopper in the
raised position to allow work to be performed under the hopper.
NEVER rely on the machine’s hydraulic components to safely
support the hopper.
JACKING THE MACHINE
CAUTION!
Never work under a machine without safety stands or blocks to support the machine.
• When jacking the machine, do so at designated locations (Do Not jack on the hopper) - see jacking locations (44)
TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE
CAUTION!
Before transporting the machine on an open truck or trailer, make sure that . . .
• All access doors are latched securely.
• The machine is tied down securely - see tie-down locations (6).
• The machine parking brake is set.
TOWING OR PUSHING A DISABLED MACHINE
CAUTION!
The machine’s drive propelling pump is manufactured with an adjustable tow valve. This valve prevents damage to the hydraulic
system when the machine is being towed/pushed short distances without use of the engine.
To access the valve, open the Engine Compartment Door (22) and lift off the Right Engine Compartment Access Panel (37). Locate the
valve as shown on the underside of the hydrostatic pump by reaching under the radiator. Turn the valve 90 degrees; this disengages the
hydrostatic lock between the motor and pump.
The hydrostatic pump can be damaged if the machine is towed with the valve in the normal working position (A). Reference the illustration
below for the normal working setting (A) and the free wheeling towing setting (B). Note: If the tow valve is left in free wheeling (B) position
the hydrostatic pump can’t drive the machine FWD or REV. No damage will result, just re-set valve to the normal working setting (A). Tow
or push machine no faster than a normal walking pace (2-3 miles per hour) and for short distances only. If the machine is to be moved long
distances the rear drive wheel needs to be raised off the oor and placed on a suitable transport dolly.

PRE-OPERATIONAL CHECKLIST
Before Each Use:
* Inspect the machine for damage, oil or coolant leaks.
* Squeeze the rubber dust cup on the Engine Air Filter (8) to release built-up dust.
* Check the engine coolant level (23).
* Check the engine oil level (45).
* Check the hydraulic oil level (36).
* Check the Fuel Gauge (DD) on the gasoline, and diesel models.
* Check the Fuel Gauge located on the LP tank (5) for propane model.
* Check the Air Filter Service Indicator (46).
In the Driver’s Seat:
* Be sure that you understand the operating controls and their functions.
* Adjust the seat to allow easy reach of all controls.
* Insert the Master Key and turn the Ignition Key Switch (MM) to the ON position. Check for proper operation of the Horn (B), Hour Meter
(PP) and Headlights (D). Turn the Ignition Key Switch (MM) OFF.
* Check the Parking Brake Latch (GG). The latch must hold its (locked parked) setting rmly with out easily being released.
(Report all defects immediately to service personnel).
Plan Your Cleaning in Advance:
* Arrange long runs with a minimum of stopping or starting.
* Allow 6 inches of broom path overlap to ensure complete coverage.
* Avoid making sharp turns, bumping into posts, or scraping the side of the machine.
MAIN BROOM
Several different main brooms are available for this machine. Contact your Nil sk-Advance dealer if you need help selecting the best broom
for the surface and litter that you will be sweeping. Note: Reference broom maintenance for installation steps.
SCRUB BRUSHES
1 Remove side skirt assemblies for easier access. NOTE: Loosen large black knob at the front of each skirt mounting bracket, slide the
skirt assembly forward and lift straight UP and off scrub deck.
2 See Figure 1. Make sure that the Lug Locking Latch is in the Unlatched Position (A).
3 Slide the scrub brush under the Brush Mounting Plate (B) and lift it so that the lugs (C) on the brush block pass through the holes in the
plate.
4 Rotate the brush into the Installed Position (D) according to rotation directions shown in gure 2 and then rotate the locking latch back
into the Latched Position (E).

FILLING THE SOLUTION TANK
The solution tank ll (3) is located at the left rear corner of the machine and has
a 75 gallon (284 liter) capacity. Fill the tank with the proper dilution of cleaning
chemical mixed with water according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
If using a powdered chemical, mix it with water in a bucket before putting it into
the machine’s solution tank. NOTE: DO NOT ll the tank past the Maximum
Level on the Water Level Gauge (50). NOTE: AXP/EDS machines can either be
used conventionally with detergent mixed in the tank or the AXP/EDS detergent
dispensing system can be used. When using the AXP/EDS detergent dispensing
do not mix detergent in the tank, plain water should be used.
CAUTION!
Use only low-sudsing, non- ammable, non-caustic cleaning chemicals
intended for machine application.
FUEL
WARNING!
• ALWAYS STOP THE ENGINE BEFORE FILLING THE FUEL TANK.
• DO NOT SMOKE WHILE FILLING THE FUEL TANK.
• FILL THE FUEL TANK IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA.
• DO NOT FILL THE FUEL TANK NEAR SPARKS OR OPEN FLAME.
• USE ONLY THE FUEL SPECIFIED ON THE FUEL TANK DECAL.
On machines with diesel and gasoline engines, a decal near the ller neck (4) shows the proper fuel to use in the machine. Before removing
the cap from the tank, wipe all dust and dirt from the cap and from the top of the tank to keep the fuel as clean as possible.
On machines with propane engines, a decal near the tank gives speci c information about the proper type of tank to be used on the machine.
DIESEL ENGINE
Fill the tank with Number 2 Diesel Fuel if the machine will be used in an area where the temperature is 30° Fahrenheit (0° Celsius) or higher.
Use Number 1 Diesel Fuel if the machine will be used in an area where the temperature is below 30° Fahrenheit (0° Celsius).
NOTE: If the diesel machine runs out of fuel completely, the fuel system must be bled before the engine can be re-started. To avoid this
situation, ll the fuel tank when the fuel gauge indicates 1/4 tank. Fuel tank capacity is 11 gallons (42 liters).
GASOLINE ENGINE
FILL THE TANK WITH UNLEADED 87 OCTANE REGULAR GASOLINE. FUEL TANK CAPACITY IS 11 GALLONS (42 LITERS).

service data.
PROPANE ENGINE
Mount a standard 33 lb. liquid withdrawal propane tank on the machine, connect the fuel hose and open the shutoff valve on the tank. Wear
gloves when connecting or disconnecting the fuel hose. Shut the propane tank service valve OFF when the machine is not in use.

DETERGENT SYSTEM PREPARATION AND USE (AXP/EDS MODELS ONLY)
Fill the detergent cartridge with a maximum of 2.2 gallons (8.32 Liters) of detergent. SERVICE NOTE: Remove the detergent cartridge from the detergent box prior to lling to
avoid spilling detergent on the machine.
It is recommended that a separate cartridge be used for each detergent you plan to use. The detergent cartridges have a white decal on them so you can write the detergent
name on each cartridge to avoid mixing them up. The detergent cartridge has a Magnetic Slider (A) on one end that should be set to the proper dilution ratio according to the
dilution instructions on the manufacturer’s bottle. Slide the Magnet Slider (A) to the appropriate location on Detergent Dilution Ratio Decal (B). When installing a new cartridge,
remove the Cap (C) and place the cartridge in the detergent box. Install the Dry Break Cap (D) as shown.
The system should be purged of previous detergent when switching to a different detergent. SERVICE NOTE: Move machine over oor drain before purging because a small
amount of detergent will be dispensed in the process.
To Purge When Changing Chemicals:
1 Disconnect and remove the detergent cartridge.
2 Turn the Key Switch (MM) ON and press the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (RR) for at least 2 seconds. NOTE: Once activated the purge process takes about 10 seconds.
See illustration on next page for Detergent System indicators. Normally one purge cycle is adequate to purge the system.
To Purge Weekly:
1 Disconnect and remove the detergent cartridge. Install and connect a Cartridge lled with clean water
2 Turn the Key Switch (MM) ON and press the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (RR) for at least 2 seconds. NOTE: Once activated the purge process takes about 10 seconds.
See illustration on next page for Detergent System indicators. Normally one purge cycle is adequate to purge the system.
The Detergent Box (E) has a Detergent Level Viewing Slot (F) for keeping track of how much detergent is remaining in the cartridge. When the detergent level is nearing the
bottom of this slot it is time to re ll or replace the cartridge.
General Use:
The detergent (AXP/EDS) system is enabled when the Key Switch (MM) is turned on and reverts to the last state (Chem On or Chem Off) it was in prior to the last power down.
The current Solution Flow Rate (VV) and the last used Detergent Ratio (WW) (if in “Chem On” state) are displayed. The Status LED (YY) indicates the status of the system as
follows:
GREEN: Solution not low and chemical pump ON (pumping solution and chemical)
BLINKING GREEN: Purge has been activated
LED OFF: Solution ow position = 0 or solution solenoid is OFF
ORANGE: Solution ON and Chemical OFF (pumping solution only)
BLINKING RED: Solution low and chemical pump ON (pumping solution only)
No detergent is dispensed until the scrub system is activated and the Drive Pedal (OO) pushed forward. The detergent ratio can be varied by subsequently pressing the
Detergent Increment and Decrement Switches (SS & TT). The detergent ow rate increases or decreases with the solution ow rate but the detergent ratio remains the same
unless changed. During scrubbing, the detergent system can be turned off at any time by pressing the Detergent ON/OFF Switch (RR) to allow scrubbing with water only. On
AXP/EDS models the solution ow rate (40%-100%) is electronically controlled and is displayed (VV) on the AXP/EDS display panel as shown below.
SERVICE NOTE: Follow the “To Purge Weekly” instructions above if the machine is going to be stored for an extended period of time or if you plan to discontinue use of
the detergent (AXP/EDS) system. The Display Panel (UU) will display an Error Code “E1” (XX) in the lower left corner if the magnetic slider circuit board (ZZ) becomes
disconnected or malfunctions.

OPERATING THE MACHINE
The Captor™ is a rider-type automatic oor sweeping and scrubbing machine. It is designed to sweep up debris, lay down cleaning solution,
scrub the oor, and vacuum dry all in one pass. The sweeping and scrubbing operations can also be performed separately.
The controls on the Captor were designed with one touch operation in mind. For single pass scrubbing the user can simply depress one
switch and all scrub functions on the machine will be ready to go. For sweeping, the operator can simply lower the main broom and all
sweeping functions will be ready to go.
Note: Bold numbers in parentheses indicate an item illustrated on pages 6-9.
BEFORE STARTING THE MACHINE
1 Be sure you understand all machine controls and their functions.
2 Plan your cleaning route. Arrange long, straight passes with as few turns as possible.
3 Check the Brake Pedal (FF). The pedal should be rm.
If the pedal is “spongy” or fades under pressure, DO NOT DRIVE THE MACHINE. Report all defects immediately to service personnel.
STARTING THE DIESEL ENGINE
1 Turn the Key Switch (MM) counter-clockwise to the “Pre-Heat” position and hold it there until the Glow Plug Indicator (E) turns OFF.
Once the indicator turns OFF the engine can be started. Skip this step if the engine has been running and is already warm.
2 Turn the Key Ignition Switch (MM) clockwise to the START position and release it as soon as the engine starts. If the engine does not
start after cranking for 15 seconds, release the key, wait for 1 minute and try steps 1-3 again.
3 Let the engine run at “IDLE” speed for 5 minutes before using the machine.
4 Push the Engine Speed Switch (G) to switch to “FULL THROTTLE” and move the machine around for 2 or 3 minutes at a slow speed to
warm up the hydraulic system.
STARTING THE GASOLINE ENGINE
1 Turn the Ignition Key Switch (MM) clockwise to the START position and release it as soon as the engine starts. If the engine does not
start after cranking for 15 seconds, release the key, wait for 1 minute, then try again.
2 Let the engine run at “IDLE” speed for 5 minutes before using the machine.
3 Push the Engine Speed Switch (G) to switch to “FULL THROTTLE” and move the machine around for 2 or 3 minutes at a slow speed to
warm up the hydraulic system.
STARTING THE PROPANE ENGINE
1 Open the service valve on the LP fuel tank (5).
2 Turn the Ignition Key Switch (MM) clockwise to the START position and release it as soon as the engine starts. If the engine does not
start after cranking for 15 seconds, release the key, wait for 1 minute, then try again.
3 Let the engine run at “IDLE” speed for 5 minutes before using the machine.
4 Push the Engine Speed Switch (G) to switch to “FULL THROTTLE” and move the machine around for 2 or 3 minutes at a slow speed to
warm up the hydraulic system.
ALWAYS operate the machine with the Engine Speed Switch at full throttle. Use the Drive Pedal (OO) not the Engine Speed Switch
(G) to control the speed of the machine. The speed of the machine will increase as the pedal is pushed closer to the oor. Do not press the
Drive Pedal (OO) until the engine has started.
IMPORTANT NOTE: During normal operation the engine will continue to run for a short period of time (1-3 seconds) after turning the key
OFF until all fuel is dispelled from fuel system.

SWEEPING
Follow the instructions in preparing the machine for use section of this manual.
1 While seated on the machine, adjust the seat and steering wheel to a comfortable operating position using the adjustment controls (51)
and (NN).
2 Release the Parking Brake (GG). To transport the machine to the work area, apply even pressure with your foot on the front of the Drive
Pedal (OO) to go forward or the rear of the pedal for reverse. Vary the pressure on the foot pedal to obtain the desired speed.
3 Push the Lower Hopper Switch (V) to make sure the hopper is seated properly.
4 Move the Main Broom Lever (II) to the SWEEP (middle notch) position to lower and enable the main broom. NOTE: The dump door
opens automatically when the main broom (II) is lowered and closes when the broom is raised.
Use the FULL FLOAT (last notch forward) position only when sweeping extremely rough or uneven oors. Use at other times will only
increase broom wear.
5 When sweeping dry oors, push the Dust Control Switch (X) to turn ON the dust control system.
When sweeping oors with puddles, push the Dust Control Switch (X) to turn OFF the dust control system before the machine enters a
puddle. Turn the dust control system back ON when the machine is back on completely dry oor.
When sweeping wet oors, keep the Dust Control Switch (X) OFF at all times.
6 Lower the Side Broom(s) (N) when sweeping along walls or curbs. Raise the Side Broom(s) (Y) when sweeping in open areas. Push
and hold the Side Broom ON/DOWN Switch (N) to lower and start the side broom motor(s). NOTE: Hold the switch until the side
broom(s) have lowered to the desired level. Side broom sweeping pattern is adjusted by pushing switches (N & Y) until the desired
amount of down pressure is achieved. NOTE: If the side broom(s) were not raised and turned OFF after last use, they will automatically
lower and turn ON when the main broom is lowered and starts.
7 Drive the machine straight forward at a quick walking speed. Drive the machine slower when sweeping large amounts of dust or debris
or when safe operation dictates slower speeds. Overlap passes 6 inches (15 cm).
8 If dust comes out of the broom housing while sweeping, the Dust Control Filter (19) may be clogged. Push the Shaker Switch (Q) to
clean the dust control lter. The dust control system (X) will automatically turn OFF while the shaker is running and turn ON after the
shaker turns OFF (the shaker runs for 20 seconds).
9 Check behind the machine occasionally to make sure that the machine is picking up debris. Dirt left behind in the path of the machine
usually indicates that the machine is moving too fast, the broom needs to be adjusted, or the hopper is full.
EMPTYING THE HOPPER
1 Push the Shaker Switch (Q) to remove excess dirt from the dust control lter. SERVICE NOTE: For best shaker performance always
run the shaker with the hopper fully down.
2 Drive the machine close to a large trash receptacle and hold the Raise Hopper Switch (W) until the hopper is all the way up. NOTE:
The dump door automatically closes when switch (W) is pushed. You regain control of the dump door as soon as the hopper begins to
raise so you can dump at any height if necessary.
3 Move the machine forward until the hopper is over the receptacle, then press the Open Dump Door Switch (R) to open the dump door
and empty the hopper.
4 Check the back of the hopper and the front of the broom housing. Use a broom, if necessary, to remove litter from these areas. The
back of the hopper must seal tightly against the front of the broom housing for proper operation.
5 Back the machine away from the receptacle until the hopper will clear it, and then lower the hopper (V). NOTE: The dump door will
automatically open when sweep function is resumed.

SCRUBBING
Follow the instructions in preparing the machine for use section of this manual.
1 While seated on the machine, adjust the seat and steering wheel to a comfortable operating position using the adjustment controls (51)

2 Release the Parking Brake (GG). To transport the machine to the work area, apply even pressure with your foot on the front of the Drive
Pedal (OO) to go forward or the rear of the pedal for reverse. Vary the pressure on the foot pedal to obtain the desired speed.
3 Adjust the Solution Flow Control Lever (HH) to about 1/4 to 1/3 open (40%-100% on AXP/EDS) position. The adjustment can be
changed to allow variable solution ow for different types of oors to be scrubbed. Example: A rough or absorbent oor surface, such as
un nished concrete will require more solution than a smooth nished oor.
4 Press the Solution Switch (K) and hold for 5 seconds. This is done to pre-wet the oor. Note: This will help prevent scarring of the oor
surface when starting to scrub with dry brushes.
5 Press the Scrub Pressure Decrease Switch (H) or the Scrub Pressure Increase Switch (I) to activate the scrub system.
6 When the Scrub Pressure Decrease Switch (H) or the Scrub Pressure Increase Switch (I) are selected, the brushes and squeegee are
automatically lowered to the oor. The machine’s scrub brush rotation, solution system ow, detergent ow(AXP/EDS only) and vacuum
starts when the Drive Pedal (OO) is activated. Note: When operating the machine in reverse, only the brushes will rotate, the solution
and detergent(AXP/EDS only) is automatically shut off and the squeegee raises.
7 Begin scrubbing by driving the machine forward in a straight line at a normal walking speed and overlap each path by 2-3 inches (50-75
mm). Adjust the machine speed and solution ow according to the condition of the oor.
CAUTION!
To avoid damaging the oor, keep the machine moving while the brushes are turning.
8 When scrubbing, check behind the machine occasionally to see that all of the waste water is being picked up. If there is water trailing
the machine, you may be dispensing too much solution, the recovery tank may be full, or the squeegee tool may require adjustment.
9 For extremely dirty oors, a one-pass scrubbing operation may not be satisfactory and a “double-scrub” operation may be required. This
operation is the same as a one-pass scrubbing except on the rst pass the squeegee is in the up position (press the Vacuum Switch (Z)
to raise the squeegee). This allows the cleaning solution to remain on the oor to work longer. The nal pass is made over the same
area, with the squeegee lowered to pick up the accumulated solution.
10 The recovery tank has an automatic vacuum shut-off to prevent solution from entering the vacuum system when the recovery tank is full.
When the vacuum shut-off is activated, the control system will shut down the vacuum system. The Recovery Tank FULL Indicator (M) will
light. When the vacuum shut-off is activated, the recovery tank must be emptied.
11 When the operator wants to stop scrubbing or the recovery tank is full, press the Scrub System OFF Switch (AA) once. This will
automatically stop the scrub brushes, solution ow, detergent ow(AXP/EDS only) and the scrub deck will raise UP. NOTE: the vacuum/
squeegee system will not be turned off when the switch is only pressed once. This is to allow any remaining water to be picked up
without turning the vacuum back on. Press the switch a second time and the squeegee will raise and the vacuum will stop after a 10
second delay.
12 Drive the machine to a designated waste water “DISPOSAL SITE” and empty the recovery tank. To empty, pull the Drain Hose (7) from
its storage area and then remove the plug (hold the end of the hose above the water level in the tank to avoid sudden, uncontrolled ow
of waste water). Re ll the solution tank and continue scrubbing.

EMPTYING THE RECOVERY TANK
1 Drive the machine to a designated waste water “DISPOSAL SITE”.
2 To empty, pull the Drain Hose (7) from its storage area, then remove the plug (hold the end of the hose above the water level in the tank
to avoid sudden, uncontrolled ow of waste water).
3 Flush the tank and drain hose with clean water.
4 Put the plug back into the hose and return the hose to its storage area.
SERVICE NOTE: The recovery tank can be tipped out to the side for cleaning after emptying. Release the Latch (48) at the front of the tank
next to the engine air lter (8) and then pull out on the tank with grip (31) until the tank reaches the end of its tether. Remove the recovery
tank lid for easier cleaning.
AFTER USE
1 Raise the squeegee, the scrub brushes, and the brooms.
2 Shake the dust control lter and empty the hopper.
3 Drain and ush the recovery tank.
4 Flush the vacuum hose and squeegee by opening the recovery tank lid and running water down the pickup tube on the right side of the
tank. SERVICE NOTE: Tip the recovery tank out and check the squeegee hose elbow below the tank to make sure it has ushed out
completely.
5 Remove and clean the squeegee tool.
6 Remove and clean the scrub brushes. Rotate the scrub brushes.
7 Wipe the machine with a damp cloth.
8 Perform all required maintenance before storage.
9 Move the machine to a clean, dry storage area.
10 Store the machine with the brooms, the squeegee and the scrub brushes in the UP position, and the tank covers open so that the tanks
can air out.
REPORT ANY DEFECT OR MALFUNCTION NOTED DURING OPERATION TO AUTHORIZED SERVICE OR MAINTENANCE
PERSONNEL.
SHUTTING DOWN THE DIESEL / GASOLINE ENGINE
1 Put all controls to the OFF position.
2 Raise the squeegee, the scrub brushes, and the brooms.
3 Push the Engine Speed Switch (G) to change to “Idle” speed and let the engine idle for 30 seconds.
4 Apply the Parking Brake (GG).
5 Turn the Key Ignition Switch (MM) OFF and remove the key.
SHUTTING DOWN THE PROPANE ENGINE
1 Put all controls to the OFF position.
2 Raise the squeegee, the scrub brushes, and the brooms.
3 Turn the service valve on LP gas tank OFF.
4 Push the Engine Speed Switch (G) to change to “Idle” speed and let the engine idle until all the LP gas is dispelled from the line.
5 Apply the Parking Brake (GG).
6 Turn the Key Ignition Switch (MM) OFF and remove the key.
CHECK THE HYDRAULIC OIL LEVEL
WARNING!
To avoid hydraulic oil injection or injury, always wear appropriate clothing and eye protection when working with or near hydraulic
system.
See Figure 3. Remove the Right Engine Access Panel (37) and look at the Gauge (A) on the side of the reservoir. If the oil level is
below the minimum level, add 10W30 motor oil until the gauge reads between the minimum and maximum levels. Change the oil if
major contamination from a mechanical failure occurs. SERVICE NOTE: Remove the small access panel (49) directly above the
reservoir to add oil. This panel is held on by (2) wing nuts on the underside of the panel. The large Allan Head Plug (B) on the top of
the reservoir is for adding oil.
IMPORTANT!
This machine is equipped with an Indicator Light (F) which lights if the “In Tank” oil lter requires changing. Remove lter
element from the lter cup (C) and replace with new lter. Hydraulic lter is found on top of the Hydraulic Reservoir (36) as
shown.

MAIN BROOM MAINTENANCE
Since the Main Broom Motor always turns in the same direction, the bristles on the broom eventually become curved, reducing sweeping
performance. Sweeping performance can be improved by removing the broom and turning it around (end-for-end). This procedure, known
as “rotating” the main broom, should be done once every 30 hours of operation.
The main broom should be replaced when the bristles are worn to a length of 2-1/2 inches (6.35 cm). The main broom stop (JJ) must be re-
adjusted when the broom is replaced. NOTE: Bristle length on a new broom is 3-1/4 inches (8.25cm).
NOTE: The machine should be stored with the Main Broom in the raised position.
WARNING!
The engine must not be running when performing this procedure.
To Rotate or Replace the Main Broom...
1 Turn the Ignition Key Switch (MM) OFF.
2 Put the Main Broom Raise / Lower (ON / OFF) Lever (II) in the DOWN position.
3 Open the Main Broom Right Access Door (38).
4 See Figure 4. Remove the large T-Bolt (A) from the side of the broom idler arm. Pivot the idler arm assembly out of the main broom
core.
5 Pull the main broom out of the broom housing and remove any string or wire wrapped around it. Also inspect the skirts at the front, back
and sides of the broom housing. The skirts should be replaced or adjusted if they are torn or worn to a height of more than 1/4 inch (6.35
mm) off the ground.
6 Turn the broom around (end-for-end) and slide it back into the broom housing. Make sure that the Lugs (B) on the broom drive hub (left
side of machine) engage the slots in the broom core.
7 Swing the idler arm assembly back into the broom core and re-install the T-Bolt that holds the idler arm in place.
8 Close and latch the Main Broom Right Access Door (38).
To Adjust the Main Broom Height...
1 Drive the machine to an area with a level oor and set the parking brake (GG).
2 Pull the Main Broom Raise / Lower (ON/OFF) Lever (II) back and slide to the right and up to lower the main broom. Push lightly on the
front of the Drive Pedal (OO) to start the main broom rotating. DO NOT move the machine.
3 Let the main broom run in place for 1 minute. This allows the broom to polish a “strip” on the oor. After 1 minute, raise the broom,
release the parking brake and move the machine so that the polished strip is visible.
4 Inspect the polished strip on the oor. If the strip is less than 2 inches (5.08 cm) or more than 3 inches (7.62cm) wide, the broom needs
to be adjusted.
5 To adjust, loosen the Main Broom Adjust Knob (JJ) and slide forward or backward to lower or raise the Main Broom. The farther the
Knob (JJ) travels up in the slot, the lower the Main Broom will be. Tighten Knob (JJ) after adjustment is complete.
6 Repeat steps 1-5 until the polished strip is 2-3 inches (5.08-7.62cm) wide.
The width of the polished strip should be the same at both ends of the broom. If the strip is tapered, move the machine to a different
area and repeat steps 1-5. If the polished strip is still tapered, contact your Nil sk-Advance Dealer for service.

SIDE BROOM MAINTENANCE
The side broom(s) move dirt and debris away from walls or curbs and into the path of the main broom. Adjust the side broom so that the
bristles are contacting the oor from the 10 O’clock (A) to the 3 O’clock (B) area shown in gure 5 when the broom is down and running.
To adjust the Side Broom...
1 The side broom(s) are adjusted simply by pressing and holding the Side Broom DOWN/ON Switch (N) or the Side Broom UP/OFF
Switch (Y) until the desired amount of bristles are contacting the oor.
NOTE: The machine should be stored with the Side Broom(s) in the raised position. The Side Broom(s) should be replaced when the
bristles are worn to a length of 3 inches (7.62 cm) or they become ineffective.
To replace the Side Broom...
1 Raise the Side Broom(s).
2 Reach under the Side Broom and remove the large Thumb-Nut holding the side broom on and remove the broom and plastic disc.
3 Install the new broom and plastic disc by aligning the three alignment pins and pushing on. Re-install the Thumb-Nut and tighten.

SQUEEGEE MAINTENANCE
After each use, clean the squeegee tool and check the blades for damage. If the squeegee leaves water in the middle of its path or at both
ends of its path, it probably needs to be adjusted. Reverse or replace the blades if they are cut, torn, wavy or worn.
To adjust the squeegee:
1 Park the machine on a level oor, lower the squeegee and drive forward a short distance.
2 See Figure 6. Loosen the two Squeegee Adjustment Lock Nuts (A).
3 Turn the two Squeegee Adjustment Bolts (B) counter-clockwise for forward tilt or clockwise for backward tilt. Pull forward a short
distance after each adjustment to see if the squeegee blades touch the oor evenly across the entire width of the squeegee tool. Then
re-tighten the two Nuts (A). NOTE: Hold Bolts (B) with wrench while tightening Lock Nuts (A). If adjusting for more forwards tilt,
tightening the Locknuts (A) after loosening the Adjustment Bolts (B) is what will actually tilt the squeegee assembly.
To reverse or replace the rear squeegee blade:
1 Unlatch the Rear Squeegee Blade Latch (C) and remove the (2) Wing Nuts (D).
2 Remove both Rear Straps (E) and the Rear Squeegee Blade (F) from the machine.
3 The squeegee blade has 4 working edges. Turn the blade so a clean, undamaged edge points toward the front of the machine. Replace
the blade if all 4 edges are nicked, torn or worn to a large radius.
4 Install the blade, following the steps in reverse order and adjust the squeegee tilt.
To reverse or replace the front squeegee blade:
1 Disconnect the Squeegee Hose from the squeegee tool.
2 Loosen the (2) Squeegee Levers (G) and slide the squeegee assembly off of the squeegee mount.
SERVICE NOTE: Depending on the position of the Squeegee Lever Handle (H), you may not be able to rotate the lever far enough to
loosen or tighten depending on which you are trying to do. In this case, simply lift UP on the Handle (H) and rotate the lever in the direction
necessary to acquire adequate turning space and then allow the lever to drop back DOWN into place on the hex. You can then either tighten
or loosen as needed.
3 Remove all of the Wing Nuts from the front squeegee blade strap.
4 Remove the strap and blade from the squeegee assembly.
5 The squeegee blade has 4 working edges. Turn the blade so a clean, undamaged edge points toward the front of the machine. Replace
the blade if all 4 edges are nicked, torn or worn to a large radius.
6 Install the blade, following the steps in reverse order and adjust the squeegee tilt.

HOPPER DUST CONTROL FILTER
The hopper dust control lter must be cleaned regularly to maintain the ef ciency of the vacuum system. Follow the recommended lter
service intervals for the longest lter life.
CAUTION!
Wear safety glasses when cleaning the lter.
Do not puncture the paper lter.
Clean the lter in a well-ventilated area.
To remove the hopper dust control lter...
1 Lift the Hopper Cover (18) on top of the hopper. Make sure that the Hopper Cover Prop Rod (12) is in place.
2 Inspect the top of the Hopper Dust Control Filter (19) for damage. A large amount of dust on top of the lter is usually caused by a hole
in the lter or a damaged lter gasket.
3 Turn the two hold-downs to the side (one on each side at the front of the frame) to release the shaker frame, then swing the Dust Filter
Shaker Assembly (20) up and latch in place with the Shaker Assembly Latch (21).
4 Lift the Hopper Dust Control Filter (19) out of the machine.
5 Clean the lter using one of the methods below:
Method “A”
Vacuum loose dust from the lter. Then gently tap the lter against a at surface (with the dirty side down) to remove loose dust and
dirt. NOTE: Take care not to damage the metal lip which extends past the gasket.
Method “B”
Vacuum loose dust from the lter. Then blow compressed air (maximum pressure 100 psi) into the clean side of the lter (in the opposite
direction of the air ow).
Method “C”
Vacuum loose dust from the lter. Then soak the lter in warm water for 15 minutes, and then rinse it under a gentle stream of water
(maximum pressure 40 psi). Let the lter dry completely before putting it back into the machine.
6 Follow the instructions in reverse order to install the lter. If the gasket on the lter is torn or missing, it must be replaced.
ENGINE OIL – GASOLINE (PETROL) & LPG
Check the engine oil level when the machine is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool. Change the engine oil after the rst 35 hours of operation
and every 150 hours after that. Use any SF or SG rated oil meeting API speci cations and suited to seasonal temperatures. Refer to the Engine System
section for oil capacities and additional engine speci cations. Replace the oil lter with every oil change.

With the emission control now in effect, the CF-4 and CG-4 lubricating oils have been developed for use of a low-sulfur fuel on-road vehicle engines.
When an off-road vehicle engine runs on a high-sulfur fuel, it is advisable to employ the CF, CD or CE lubricating oil with a high total base number. If
the CF-4 or CG-4 lubricating oil is used with a high-sulfur fuel, change the lubricating oil at shorter intervals.

ENGINE COOLANT
Lift the Engine Cover (22) and observe the coolant level in the Coolant Recovery Tank (23). If the level is low, add a mixture of half water and
half automotive type anti-freeze.
CAUTION!
Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot.
ENGINE AIR FILTER
Check the Air Filter Service Indicator (46) before each use of the machine. Do not service the air lter unless the red ag is visible in the
service indicator.
CAUTION!
When servicing the engine air lter elements, use extreme care to prevent loose dust from entering the engine. Dust can
severely damage the engine.
The engine air lter contains a Primary (outer) and a Safety (inner) lter element. The Primary Element may be cleaned twice before being
replaced. The Safety Element should be replaced every third time that the Primary Filter Element is replaced. Never attempt to clean the
Inner Safety Element.
To clean the Primary Filter Element, unsnap the 2 clips at the end of the air lter and remove the end housing. Pull the primary element
out. Clean the element with compressed air (maximum pressure 100 psi) or wash it with water (maximum pressure 40 psi). DO NOT put the
element back into the canister until it is completely dry.

TRIPPING THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS
The circuit breakers are located on the Circuit Breaker Panel in the operator’s compartment; they protect electrical circuits and motors from
damage due to overload conditions. If a circuit breaker trips, try to determine the cause.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Este manual le ayudará a obtener el máximo rendimiento de su Limpiadora / Barredora Nil sk-Advance™. Léalo con atención antes de
utilizar la máquina. Las referencias a la “derecha” y a la “izquierda” en este manual han de entenderse desde el punto de vista del asiento
del conductor.
Nota: Los números que aparecen en negrita entre paréntesis indican elementos ilustrados en las páginas A-6 – A-9.
COMPONENTES Y SERVICIO
Las reparaciones, cuando sean necesarias, deben ser realizadas por su Centro Autorizado de Servicio Nil sk-Advance que utiliza personal
de servicio formado en fábrica y lleva un inventario de piezas de repuesto y accesorios Nil sk-Advance originales.
Llame al DISTRIBUIDOR INDUSTRIAL NILFISK-ADVANCE que se indica a continuación para lo referente a piezas de repuesto y servicio.
Por favor, especi que el Modelo y Número de Serie cuando hable de su máquina.

DESEMBALAJE
Tras la recepción, inspeccione la caja de embalaje y la máquina para ver si existen daños. Si los daños son evidentes, guarde todas las
piezas de la caja de embalaje de modo que puedan ser inspeccionadas por el transportista que entregó la máquina. Póngase en contacto
con el transportista inmediatamente para presentar una reclamación por daño durante el transporte.
1 Después de retirar la caja, retire los bloques de madera situados junto a las ruedas.
2 Compruebe el nivel de aceite y refrigerante del motor.
3 Compruebe el nivel del aceite hidráulico.
4 Lea las instrucciones de la sección “Preparación de la máquina para su utilización” de este manual y llene el depósito de combustible.
5 Coloque una rampa junto al extremo delantero de la tarima de carga.
6 Lea las instrucciones de las secciones “Funcionamiento de los controles” y “Funcionamiento de la máquina” de este manual y encienda
el motor. Conduzca despacio la máquina desde la rampa hasta el suelo. Mantenga el pie pisando ligeramente el pedal del freno hasta
que la máquina haya bajado de la tarima.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Extreme las PRECAUCIONES al utilizar esta máquina. Antes de utilizarla, debe conocer bien todas sus instrucciones de
funcionamiento. Si tiene alguna duda, consulte con su supervisor o con su Proveedor Industrial local Nil sk-Advance.
En caso de funcionamiento incorrecto de la máquina, no intente solucionar el problema a menos que se lo ordene su supervisor.
Solicite la ayuda de un mecánico cuali cado de su empresa o de una persona autorizada por el Servicio del Proveedor Nil sk-
Advance para que efectúen las correcciones necesarias en el equipo.
Extreme las precauciones al utilizar esta máquina. Existe el peligro de que las prendas sueltas, pelo largo, anillos y pulseras
queden atrapados entre los componentes móviles. Apague el interruptor de llave de encendido y quite la llave antes de revisar
la máquina. Utilice el sentido común, respete las normas de seguridad y preste atención a las pegatinas amarillas colocadas en
la máquina.
Conduzca la máquina lentamente en pendientes. Use el pedal de freno (FF) para controlar la velocidad de la máquina al
descender las pendientes. NO gire la máquina en una pendiente; conduzca en línea recta hacia arriba o hacia abajo.
La pendiente nominal máxima para el barrido y la limpieza es de 6°. La pendiente nominal máxima durante el transporte es de
8°.

SOPORTE DE SEGURIDAD DE LA TOLVA
¡ADVERTENCIA!
Compruebe que el soporte de seguridad de la tolva (KK) se encuentra
colocado cuando vaya a realizar alguna operación de mantenimiento
debajo de la tolva levantada o cerca de ella. El soporte de seguridad
de la tolva (KK) mantiene la tolva en posición elevada para permitir la
realización de operaciones bajo la misma. No se limite NUNCA a los
componentes hidráulicos de la máquina solamente para soportar la tolva
de manera segura.
ELEVACIÓN DE LA MÁQUINA
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
No trabaje nunca debajo de la máquina sin colocar antes los soportes o bloques de seguridad para apoyar la máquina.
• Cuando eleve la máquina, aplique los gatos en los lugares indicados (no en la tolva) – véanse los puntos de elevación (44).
TRANSPORTE DE LA MÁQUINA
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Antes de transportar la máquina sobre un camión o remolque abierto, asegúrese de. . .
• Cerrar bien todas las puertas de acceso.
• Sujetar bien la máquina, de forma que quede segura – véanse los puntos de sujeción (6).
• Echar el freno de estacionamiento de la máquina.
REMOLQUE O EMPUJE DE LA MÁQUINA EN CASO DE AVERÍA
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
La bomba de propulsión de transmisión de la máquina lleva una válvula de remolque ajustable que impide que se produzcan daños en el
sistema hidráulico en caso de que deba remolcarse/empujarse la máquina a una distancia corta sin el uso del motor.
Para acceder a la válvula, abra la puerta del compartimiento del motor (22) y levante el panel de acceso del compartimiento del motor
derecho (37). Localice la válvula como se muestra en la parte inferior de la bomba hidrostática bajo el radiador. Gire la válvula 90 grados.
De esta forma desacoplará el bloqueo entre el motor y la bomba.
La bomba hidrostática puede sufrir daños si se remolca la máquina con la válvula en posición normal de funcionamiento (A). Consulte en
las ilustraciones que aparecen más adelante el ajuste normal de funcionamiento (A) y el ajuste de giro libre para remolque (B). Nota: Si la
válvula de remolque se deja en posición de giro libre (B), la bomba hidrostática no podrá desplazar la máquina hacia delante ni hacia atrás.
No se producirá ningún daño; sólo tiene que volver a situar la válvula en el ajuste normal de funcionamiento (A). No remolque ni empuje
la máquina a una velocidad superior a la del paso normal de una persona (3-5 km/h) y hágalo solamente en distancias cortas. Si necesita
desplazar la máquina una larga distancia, la rueda motriz trasera debe elevarse del suelo y colocarse sobre un gato rodante.

COMPROBACIONES PREVIAS A LA UTILIZACIÓN
Antes de cada utilización:
* Examine la máquina para comprobar si existen daños o fugas de aceite o líquido de refrigeración.
* Estruje la copa de goma del polvo del ltro del aire del motor (8) para retirar el polvo acumulado.
* Compruebe el nivel del líquido de refrigeración del motor (23).
* Compruebe el nivel de aceite del motor (45).
* Compruebe el nivel de aceite hidráulico (36).
* Compruebe el indicador del nivel de combustible (DD) en los modelos de gasolina y diesel.
* Compruebe el indicador del nivel de combustible situado en el depósito de propano (5) en el modelo de propano.
* Compruebe el indicador de servicio del ltro del aire (46).
En el asiento del conductor:
* El conductor debe conocer todos los controles y sus funciones.
* Ajuste el asiento para alcanzar cómodamente todos los controles.
* Introduzca la llave maestra y sitúe el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) en posición ON. Compruebe el funcionamiento correcto
del claxon (B), el contador horario (PP) y los faros delanteros (D). Sitúe el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) en OFF.
* Compruebe la palanca del freno de estacionamiento (GG). El pestillo debe mantenerse en su posición (de estacionamiento) sin que se
suelte con facilidad.
(Comunique inmediatamente cualquier defecto al personal de servicio).
Plani que su limpieza por adelantado:
* Utilice la máquina en tramos largos, manteniendo al mínimo el número de detenciones y puestas en marcha.
* Los tramos de barrido deben solaparse unos 150 mm para conseguir un barrido completo de la super cie.
* Evite tomar las curvas bruscamente, chocar contra postes y arañar los laterales de la máquina.
CEPILLO PRINCIPAL
Existen varios cepillos principales diferentes para esta máquina. Consulte con su distribuidor de Nil sk-Advance si necesita ayuda a n de
seleccionar el mejor cepillo para la super cie y residuos que vaya a limpiar. Nota: Consulte el mantenimiento del cepillo si desea obtener las
etapas de instalación.
CEPILLOS DE FREGADO
1 Retire las faldillas laterales para un acceso más fácil. NOTA: A oje los botones negros situados delante de las abrazaderas de montaje
de la faldilla, deslice las faldillas hacia delante y levante en línea recta el portacepillos.
2 Ver la Figura 1. Asegúrese de que el pestillo de bloqueo de la lengüeta esté en posición desbloqueada (A).
3 Deslice el cepillo de fregado bajo el plato del cepillo (B) y levántelo de modo que las lengüetas (C) del cepillo atraviesen los agujeros
del plato.
4 Gire el cepillo hacia la posición instalada (D) según las direcciones de giro ilustradas en la gura 2 y, a continuación, gire el pestillo de
bloqueo hacia la posición de cierre (E).

LLENADO DEL DEPÓSITO DE SOLUCIÓN
El llenado del depósito de solución (3) está situado en el ángulo trasero
izquierdo de la máquina y tiene una capacidad para 284 litros. Llene el
depósito con la mezcla adecuada del producto químico de limpieza con agua
según las recomendaciones del fabricante. Si se utiliza un producto químico
en polvo, mézclelo con agua en un cubo antes de colocarlo en el depósito de
solución de la máquina. NOTA: NO llene el depósito por encima del nivel
máximo en el indicador del nivel de agua (50). NOTA: Las máquinas AXP/
EDS pueden utilizarse normalmente con detergente mezclado en el depósito
o con el sistema de aplicación de detergente AXP/EDS. Al utilizar el sistema
de aplicación de detergente AXP/EDS, no mezcle detergente en el depósito;
utilice agua.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Utilice únicamente productos de limpieza no in amables, no cáusticos, de bajo poder espumante que estén diseñados para
aplicaciones de fregado automático.
COMBUSTIBLE
¡ADVERTENCIA!
• APAGUE SIEMPRE EL MOTOR ANTES DE LLENAR EL DEPÓSITO DE COMBUSTIBLE.
• NO FUME CUANDO ESTÉ LLENANDO EL DEPÓSITO DE COMBUSTIBLE.
• LLENE EL DEPÓSITO DE COMBUSTIBLE EN UN LUGAR BIEN VENTILADO.
• NO LLENE EL DEPÓSITO DE COMBUSTIBLE CERCA DE CHISPAS O LLAMAS.
• UTILICE SÓLO EL COMBUSTIBLE ESPECIFICADO EN LA PEGATINA DEL DEPÓSITO DE COMBUSTIBLE.
En máquinas con motores diesel y gasolina, la pegatina cerca del cuello de llenado (4) indica el tipo de combustible que debe utilizarse en
la máquina. Antes de retirar el tapón del depósito, limpie el polvo y la suciedad del tapón y de la zona superior del depósito, con el n de
mantener el combustible lo más limpio posible.
En las máquinas con motor de propano, la pegatina cerca del depósito contiene información especí ca sobre el tipo de depósito que se debe
utilizar en la máquina.
MOTOR DIESEL
Llene el depósito con combustible diesel número 2 si la máquina se va a utilizar en una zona donde la temperatura es de 0° o superior.
Utilice combustible diesel número 1 si la máquina se va a utilizar en una zona donde la temperatura está por debajo de los 0°.
NOTA: Si la máquina diesel se queda sin combustible, el sistema de combustible debería alimentarse antes de volver a poner en marcha el
motor. Para evitar esta situación, llene el depósito de combustible cuando el indicador del nivel de combustible muestre 1/4 en el depósito.
La capacidad del depósito de combustible es de 42 litros.
MOTOR DE GASOLINA
LLENE EL DEPÓSITO DE GASOLINA NORMAL SIN PLOMO DE 87 OCTANOS. LA CAPACIDAD DEL DEPÓSITO DE COMBUSTIBLE ES
DE 42 LITROS.
Nota: Si desea datos más detallados sobre especi caciones y servicio del motor, consulte el manual de utilización y mantenimiento del motor
elaborado por el fabricante y entregado por separado.
MOTOR DE PROPANO
Instale un depósito de 14,85 kg de propano líquido de retirada en la máquina, conecte la manguera de combustible y abra la válvula de
cierre despacio en el depósito. Póngase guantes para conectar o desconectar la manguera de combustible. Cuando no esté utilizando la
máquina, cierre la válvula de servicio del depósito de propano.

REPARACIÓN Y USO DEL SISTEMA DE DETERGENTE (SOLO MODELOS AXP/EDS)
Llene el cartucho de detergente con 8,32 litros (2,2 galones) como máximo. NOTA DE SERVICIO: Retire el cartucho de la caja de detergente antes de llenarlo para no derramar
detergente sobre la máquina.
Se recomienda utilizar un cartucho individual por cada detergente que prevea usar. Los cartuchos de detergente tienen una pegatina blanca, de modo que puede escribir el
nombre del detergente en cada cartucho para no mezclarlos. El cartucho de detergente tiene un deslizador magnético (A) en un extremo, el cual debe ajustarse a la proporción
de mezcla adecuada de acuerdo con las instrucciones descritas en la botella del fabricante. Coloque el deslizador magnético (A) en la posición adecuada de la pegatina de
proporción de mezcla de detergente (B). Al instalar un nuevo cartucho, retire la tapa (C) y coloque el cartucho en la caja de detergente. Instale la tapa sellada (D) como se
muestra.
Elimine del sistema el detergente utilizado anteriormente antes de cambiar a un detergente diferente. NOTA DE SERVICIO: Desplace la máquina sobre un punto de drenaje en
el suelo antes de eliminar el detergente, porque saldrá una pequeña cantidad durante el proceso.
Purgar al cambiar productos químicos:
1 Desconecte y retire el cartucho de detergente.
2 Encienda el interruptor de contacto (MM) y mantenga pulsado el interruptor del detergente (RR) al menos 2 segundos. NOTA: Una vez activado, el proceso de purga
dura unos 10 segundos. Consulte los indicadores del sistema de detergente en la ilustración de la página siguiente. Por lo general, un solo ciclo de purga es su ciente
para purgar el sistema.
Purgar semanalmente:
1 Desconecte y retire el cartucho de detergente. Instale y conecte un cartucho lleno de agua limpia
2 Encienda el interruptor de contacto (MM) y mantenga pulsado el interruptor del detergente (RR) al menos 2 segundos. NOTA: Una vez activado, el proceso de purga
dura unos 10 segundos. Consulte los indicadores del sistema de detergente en la ilustración de la página siguiente. Por lo general, un solo ciclo de purga es su ciente
para purgar el sistema.
La caja de detergente (E) tiene una ranura de visualización del nivel de detergente (F) para saber cuánto detergente queda en el cartucho. Cuando el nivel de detergente se
acerque a la parte inferior de la ranura, rellene o sustituya el cartucho.
Uso general:
El sistema de detergente (AXP/EDS) se habilita cuando se enciende el interruptor de contacto (MM), y regresa al último estado en el que se encontraba (Productos químicos
encendidos o apagados) antes de apagarse la última vez. Se muestran el ujo de solución actual (VV) y la mezcla de detergente usada por última vez (WW) (si el estado es
“Productos químicos encendidos”). El LED de estado (YY) indica el estado del sistema de la siguiente forma:
VERDE: la solución no está baja y la bomba de productos químicos está encendida (bombea solución y productos químicos)
VERDE INTERMITENTE: Se ha activado la purga
LED APAGADO: Posición del ujo de la solución = 0 o solenoide de la solución apagado
NARANJA: solución encendida y productos químicos apagados (únicamente se bombea solución)
ROJO INTERMITENTE: solución baja y bomba de productos químicos encendida (únicamente se bombea solución)
No se aplica detergente hasta que se activa el sistema de fregado y se presiona el pedal de tracción (OO). La mezcla de detergente puede variarse pulsando posteriormente
los interruptores de aumento y reducción de detergente (SS y TT). El ujo del detergente aumenta o disminuye con el ujo de la solución, pero la mezcla del detergente no varía
si no se modi ca. Durante el fregado, el sistema de detergente puede apagarse en cualquier momento pulsando el interruptor de detergente (RR) para permitir el fregado solo
con agua. En los modelos AXP/EDS, el ujo de solución (40%-100%) se controla electrónicamente y se muestra (VV) en el panel de visualización AXP/EDS que se muestra en
la siguiente página.
NOTA DE SERVICIO: Siga las instrucciones “Purgar semanalmente” que aparecen anteriormente si la máquina va a almacenarse durante un período de tiempo prolongado o si
prevé un uso discontinuo del sistema de detergente (AXP/EDS). El panel de visualización (UU) mostrará un código de error “E1” (XX) en la esquina izquierda inferior si la placa
de circuitos del deslizador magnético (ZZ) se desconecta o funciona mal.

FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA MÁQUINA
El Captor™ es una máquina automática de fregado y barrido de suelos sobre ruedas. Está diseñado para limpiar residuos, verter una
solución de limpieza, fregar el suelo y aspirarlo todo de una pasada. Las operaciones de fregado y de barrido también pueden realizarse por
separado.
Los controles del Captor se han diseñado pensando en ser operados con un solo toque (one touch operation). Para el fregado de una sola
pasada, el usuario sólo tiene que pulsar un interruptor y todas las funciones de fregado de la máquina estarán listas para empezar. Para el
barrido, el operario puede simplemente bajar el cepillo principal y todas las funciones de barrido estarán listas para empezar.
Nota: Los números que aparecen en negrita entre paréntesis indican elementos ilustrados en las páginas 6-9.
ANTES DE ENCENDER LA MÁQUINA
1 Asegúrese de que comprende todos los controles de la máquina y sus funciones.
2 Plani que su limpieza por adelantado. Utilice la máquina en tramos largos y rectos, manteniendo al mínimo el número de giros.
3 Compruebe el pedal de freno (FF). El pedal debería estar rme.
Si el pedal está “esponjoso” o pierde potencia bajo presión, NO CONDUZCA LA MÁQUINA. Comunique inmediatamente cualquier
defecto al personal de servicio.
ENCENDIDO DEL MOTOR DIESEL
1 Gire el interruptor llave (MM) en el sentido contrario de las agujas del reloj hacia la posición “Pre-Heat” (Precalentar) y manténgalo hasta
que se apague el indicador de bujía de calentamiento (E). Una vez apagado el indicador puede arrancarse el motor. Sáltese este paso
si el motor ha estado funcionando y ya está caliente.
2 Gire el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) en el sentido de las agujas del reloj hacia la posición START (arrancar) y suéltelo en
cuanto arranque el motor. Si el motor no arranca en 15 segundos, suelte la llave, espere 1 minuto y vuelva a realizar los pasos 1 - 3 de
nuevo.
3 Deje el motor en punto muerto “IDLE” durante 5 minutos antes de utilizar la máquina.
4 Sitúe el interruptor de velocidad del motor (G) en posición de “MÁXIMA ACELERACIÓN” y dé unas vueltas con la máquina durante 2 ó 3
minutos a velocidad baja para calentar el sistema hidráulico.
ENCENDIDO DEL MOTOR DE GASOLINA
1 Gire el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) en el sentido de las agujas del reloj hacia la posición START (arrancar) y suéltelo en
cuanto arranque el motor. Si el motor no arranca en 15 segundos, suelte la llave, espere 1 minuto y vuelva a intentarlo.
2 Deje el motor en punto muerto “IDLE” durante 5 minutos antes de utilizar la máquina.
3 Sitúe el interruptor de velocidad del motor (G) en posición de máxima aceleración y dé unas vueltas con la máquina durante 2 ó 3
minutos a velocidad baja para calentar el sistema hidráulico.
ENCENDIDO DEL MOTOR DE PROPANO
1 Abra la válvula de servicio del depósito de propano (5).
2 Gire el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) en el sentido de las agujas del reloj hacia la posición START (arrancar) y suéltelo en
cuanto arranque el motor. Si el motor no arranca en 15 segundos, suelte la llave, espere 1 minuto y vuelva a intentarlo.
3 Deje el motor en punto muerto “IDLE” durante 5 minutos antes de utilizar la máquina.
4 Sitúe el interruptor de velocidad del motor (G) en posición de máxima aceleración y dé unas vueltas con la máquina durante 2 ó 3
minutos a velocidad baja para calentar el sistema hidráulico.
Utilice SIEMPRE la máquina con el interruptor de velocidad del motor en posición de máxima aceleración. Utilice el pedal de
tracción (OO) y no el interruptor de velocidad del motor (G) para controlar la velocidad de la máquina. La velocidad de la máquina
aumentará cuanto más a fondo se pise el pedal. No pise el pedal de tracción (OO) hasta que haya arrancado el motor.
NOTA IMPORTANTE: Durante el funcionamiento normal, el motor seguirá funcionando durante un breve periodo de tiempo (1-3
segundos) después de apagar el interruptor de llave hasta que todo el combustible haya sido expulsado del sistema de combustible.

BARRIDO
Siga las instrucciones de la sección “Preparación de la máquina para el uso” de este manual.
1 Una vez sentado en la máquina, ajuste el asiento y el volante hasta que la posición sea cómoda para trabajar, utilizando los controles
de ajuste (51) y (NN).
2 Suelte el freno de estacionamiento (GG). Para llevar la máquina a la zona de trabajo, aplique con el pie una presión uniforme en la
parte de delante del pedal de tracción (OO) para ir hacia delante o en la parte de atrás para ir hacia atrás. Cambie la presión que hace
en el pedal con el pie para obtener la velocidad deseada.
3 Pulse el interruptor de descenso de la tolva (V) para asegurarse de que la tolva está asentada correctamente.
4 Desplace la palanca del cepillo principal (II) a la posición de barrido “SWEEP” (muesca intermedia) para bajar y activar el cepillo
principal. NOTA: La puerta de descarga se abre automáticamente cuando el cepillo principal (II) se baja y se cierra cuando el cepillo
se sube.
Utilice la posición de otación total (última muesca hacia delante) sólo cuando se barran suelos extremadamente rugosos o irregulares.
Si se utiliza sobre otras super cies aumentará el desgaste del cepillo.
5 Al barrer suelos secos, pulse el interruptor de control de polvo (X) para encender el sistema de control de polvo.
Al barrer suelos con charcos, pulse el interruptor de control de polvo (X) para apagar el sistema de control de polvo antes de que la
máquina se introduzca en un charco. Vuelva a encender el sistema de control de polvo cuando la máquina haya vuelto a una super cie
totalmente seca.
Si barre suelos húmedos, mantenga el interruptor de control de polvo (X) apagado.
6 Baje el cepillo lateral (N) para barrer a lo largo de bordillos o paredes. Suba el cepillo lateral (Y) para barrer en espacios abiertos.
Pulse y mantenga el interruptor de encendido/descenso del cepillo lateral (N) para bajar y arrancar el motor del cepillo lateral. NOTA:
Mantenga el interruptor hasta que el cepillo lateral haya bajado hasta el nivel deseado. El barrido del cepillo lateral se ajusta pulsando
los interruptores (N & Y) hasta que se alcanza la cantidad de presión deseada hacia abajo. NOTA: Si el cepillo lateral no se subiese y
se apagase después del último uso, bajaría automáticamente y se encendería cuando el cepillo principal se bajara y arrancase.
7 Conduzca la máquina hacia delante en línea recta a velocidad de paso rápido. Conduzca la máquina más despacio si barre una gran
cantidad de suciedad o residuos o si así lo exige la seguridad. Cada pasada debe coincidir con la anterior en una banda de 15 cm de
ancho.
8 Si el polvo sale del alojamiento del cepillo al barrer, el ltro de control de polvo (19) podría obstruirse. Pulse el interruptor del agitador
(Q) para limpiar el ltro de control de polvo. El sistema de control de polvo (X) se apagará automáticamente mientras que el agitador
esté funcionando y se encenderá una vez apagado el agitador (el agitador funciona durante 20 segundos).
9 Mire de vez en cuando detrás de la máquina para comprobar si está recogiendo los residuos. Si queda suciedad tras el paso de la
máquina, esto indica que la máquina va demasiado rápida, que debe ajustarse el cepillo o que la tolva está llena.
VACIADO DE LA TOLVA
1 Pulse el interruptor del agitador (Q) para limpiar el ltro de control de polvo. NOTA DE SERVICIO: Para maximizar el rendimiento
del agitador, utilícelo siempre con la tolva totalmente hacia abajo.
2 Sitúe la máquina junto a un contenedor de basura grande y mantenga el interruptor de elevación de la tolva (W) hasta que la tolva se
eleve a la altura deseada. NOTA: La puerta de descarga se cierra automáticamente cuando se pulsa este interruptor (W). Recuperará
el control de la puerta de descarga en cuanto la tolva empiece a elevarse, por tanto, puede descargar a cualquier altura si fuera
necesario.
3 Mueva la máquina hacia delante hasta que la tolva quede sobre el contenedor y, a continuación, pulse el interruptor de apertura de la
puerta de descarga (R) para abrir la puerta de descarga y vaciar la tolva.
4 Compruebe la parte posterior de la tolva y la parte delantera del alojamiento del cepillo. Si es necesario, utilice una escoba para retirar
los residuos de estas zonas. Para su correcto funcionamiento, la parte posterior de la tolva debe quedar herméticamente cerrada
contra la parte delantera del alojamiento del cepillo.
5 Mueva la máquina hasta que la tolva quede fuera del contenedor; a continuación, baje la tolva (V). NOTA: La puerta de descarga se
abrirá automáticamente cuando se reanude la función de barrido.

Siga las instrucciones de la sección “Preparación de la máquina para el uso” de este manual.
1 Una vez sentado en la máquina, ajuste el asiento y el volante hasta que la posición sea cómoda para trabajar, utilizando los controles

2 Suelte el freno de estacionamiento (GG). Para llevar la máquina a la zona de trabajo, aplique con el pie una presión uniforme en la

3 Ajuste la palanca de control del ujo de solución (HH) hasta aproximadamente entre 1/4 y 1/3 de la posición abierta (40%-100% en
AXP/EDS). Se puede cambiar el ajuste para variar el ujo de solución según los diferentes tipos de suelos que se quieran fregar.
Ejemplo: una super cie de suelo rugosa o absorbente, como hormigón sin retocar, necesitará más solución que un suelo liso terminado.
4 Pulse el interruptor de la solución (K) y manténgalo pulsado durante 5 segundos. Esto se hace para mojar previamente el suelo. Nota:
Esto ayuda a evitar la escari cación de la super cie del suelo cuando se empieza a fregar con cepillos secos.
5 Pulse el interruptor de disminución de la presión de fregado (H) o el interruptor de aumento de la presión de fregado (I) para activar el
sistema de fregado.
6 Cuando se selecciona el interruptor de descenso de la presión de fregado (H) o el interruptor de aumento de la presión de fregado (I),
los cepillos y conjunto de boquillas se bajan automáticamente hasta el suelo. La rotación del cepillo de fregado, el ujo del sistema de
solución, el ujo de detergente (solo AXP/EDS) y la aspiración de la máquina empiezan cuando se activa el pedal de tracción (OO).
Nota: Cuando se maneje la máquina marcha atrás, solo rotarán los cepillos; la solución y el detergente (solo AXP/EDS) se apagan
automáticamente y el conjunto de boquillas se eleva.
7 Empiece a fregar conduciendo la máquina marcha adelante en línea recta a una velocidad de paseo normal y solape las trayectorias de
50-75 mm. Ajuste la velocidad de la máquina y el ujo de solución según el estado del suelo.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Para evitar daños al suelo, mantenga la máquina en movimiento cuando los cepillos están girando.
8 Cuando friegue, compruebe de vez en cuando que detrás de la máquina se está recogiendo el agua residual. Si queda agua en la
trayectoria de la máquina, puede que esté aportando demasiada solución, que el depósito de recogida esté lleno o que la boquilla
necesite un ajuste.
9 Para los suelos extremadamente sucios, puede que no sea satisfactoria una operación de fregado de una sola pasada y se puede
necesitar una operación de “doble fregado”. Esta operación es la misma que el fregado de un solo pase, salvo que en el primer pase la
boquilla está en la posición levantada (pulse el interruptor de aspiración (Z) para levantar la boquilla). Esto permite que la solución de
limpieza se quede en el suelo más tiempo. La última pasada se hace en la misma zona, con la boquilla bajada para recoger la solución
acumulada.
10 El depósito de recuperación tiene un otador de cierre automático para evitar que la solución entre en el sistema de aspiración cuando
está lleno el depósito de recuperación. Cuando se activa el otador de cierre, el sistema de control apagará el sistema de aspiración.
El indicador del llenado del depósito de recuperación (M) se encenderá. Cuando se active el otador de cierre, el depósito de
recuperación deberá vaciarse.
11 Cuando el operario quiera dejar de fregar o el depósito de recuperación esté lleno, pulse una vez el interruptor de apagado del sistema
de fregado (AA). Esto detiene automáticamente los cepillos de fregado, el ujo de solución y el ujo de detergente (solo AXP/EDS), y
la plataforma de limpieza se eleva. NOTA: el sistema de aspiración/boquilla no se apagará la primera vez que se pulse este interruptor.
Esto permite recoger el agua que haya podido quedar sin tener que volver a encender la aspiración. Pulse el interruptor por segunda
vez y el conjunto de boquillas se elevará y la aspiración se parará transcurridos 10 segundos.
12 Conduzca la máquina a un lugar establecido para la eliminación de aguas residuales y vacíe el depósito de recuperación. Para
vaciarlo, tire de la tubería de drenaje (7) para sacarla de su zona de almacenamiento y, a continuación, retire el tapón (sostenga el
extremo de la tubería por encima del nivel de agua para evitar el ujo súbito e incontrolado de agua residual). Rellene el depósito de
solución y siga fregando.

la programabilidad opcional.

VACIADO DEL DEPÓSITO DE RECUPERACIÓN
1 Lleve la máquina a un lugar establecido para la eliminación de aguas residuales.
2 Para vaciarla, tire de la tubería de drenaje (7) para sacarla de su zona de almacenamiento y, a continuación, retire el tapón (sostenga el
extremo de la tubería por encima del nivel de agua para evitar el ujo súbito e incontrolado de agua residual).
3 Lave el depósito y drene la tubería con agua limpia.
4 Vuelva a poner el tapón en la tubería y coloque la tubería en su zona de almacenamiento.
NOTA DE SERVICIO: El depósito de recuperación puede inclinarse hacia el lateral para la limpieza después del vaciado. Suelte el pestillo
(48) en la parte delantera del depósito situado junto al ltro de aire del motor (8) y extraiga el depósito con el manillar (31) hasta que el
depósito no aguante más. Retire la lengüeta del depósito de recuperación para una limpieza más fácil.
DESPUÉS DE LA UTILIZACIÓN
1 Suba la boquilla, los cepillos de fregado y demás cepillos.
2 Agite el ltro de control de polvo y vacíe la tolva.
3 Drene y lave el depósito de recuperación.
4 Lave la manguera de aspiración y la boquilla abriendo la lengüeta del depósito de recuperación y vertiendo agua en el tubo de recogida
en el lado derecho del depósito. NOTA DE SERVICIO: Incline el depósito de recuperación y compruebe el codo de la manguera de la
boquilla situado bajo el depósito para asegurarse de que se ha limpiado completamente.
5 Retire y limpie la boquilla.
6 Retire y limpie los cepillos de fregado. Gire los cepillos de fregado.
7 Limpie la máquina con un paño húmedo.
8 Realice cualquier operación de mantenimiento que sea necesaria antes de guardar la máquina.
9 Lleve la máquina a una zona de almacenamiento limpia y seca.
10 Guarde la máquina con los cepillos, boquilla y cepillos de fregado en posición hacia arriba (“UP”), y las cubiertas del depósito abiertas
de modo que el depósito pueda airearse.
COMUNIQUE CUALQUIER DEFECTO O FUNCIONAMIENTO INCORRECTO QUE OBSERVE DURANTE LA UTILIZACIÓN AL PERSONAL
AUTORIZADO DE SERVICIO O MANTENIMIENTO.
APAGADO DEL MOTOR DIESEL / GASOLINA
1 Sitúe todos los controles en posición OFF.
2 Suba la boquilla, los cepillos de fregado y demás cepillos.
3 Sitúe el interruptor de velocidad del motor (G) en punto muerto “Idle” y mantenga el motor al ralentí durante 30 segundos.
4 Ponga el freno de estacionamiento (GG).
5 Encienda el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) y retire la llave.
APAGADO DEL MOTOR DE PROPANO
1 Sitúe todos los controles en posición OFF.
2 Suba la boquilla, los cepillos de fregado y demás cepillos.
3 Apague la válvula de servicio del depósito de propano (23).
4 Sitúe el interruptor de velocidad del motor (G) en punto muerto “Idle” y mantenga el motor al ralentí hasta que todo el propano haya sido
expulsado de la tubería.
5 Ponga el freno de estacionamiento (GG).
6 Encienda el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) y retire la llave.
COMPRUEBE EL NIVEL DEL ACEITE HIDRÁULICO
¡ADVERTENCIA!
Para evitar la inyección de aceite hidráulico o los daños, lleve siempre la vestimenta adecuada y protección ocular cuando
trabaje con el sistema hidráulico o cerca de él.
Ver la Figura 3. Retire el panel de acceso del motor derecho (37) y observe el indicador de nivel (A) en el lateral del depósito. Si el
nivel de aceite está por debajo del nivel mínimo, añada aceite para motor 10W30 hasta que el indicador muestre niveles entre el mínimo
y el máximo. Cambie el aceite si se produce una contaminación grave debida a un fallo mecánico. NOTA DE SERVICIO: Retire el
pequeño panel de acceso (49) situado justo encima del depósito para añadir aceite. Este panel está sujeto por (2) tuercas de palomilla
en la parte inferior del panel. El gran tapón Allen (B) situado en la parte superior del depósito sirve para añadir aceite.
¡IMPORTANTE!
Esta máquina dispone de una luz indicadora (F) que se encenderá cuando sea necesario cambiar el ltro de aceite del
depósito. Retire el elemento de ltro de la copa del ltro (C) y sustitúyalo por un ltro nuevo. El ltro hidráulico está situado en
la parte superior del depósito hidráulico (36) como se muestra en la ilustración.

MANTENIMIENTO DEL CEPILLO PRINCIPAL
Dado que el motor del cepillo principal gira siempre en la misma dirección, las cerdas acaban por curvarse, reduciendo la e cacia del barrido.
Para corregir esto puede retirar el cepillo principal y darle la vuelta. Este procedimiento debe realizarse cada 30 horas de funcionamiento.
El cepillo principal debe cambiarse cuando las cerdas estén gastadas hasta una longitud de 6,35 cm. El tope del cepillo principal (JJ) debe
volver a ajustarse cuando se cambie el cepillo principal. NOTA: La longitud de las cerdas en un cepillo nuevo es de 8,25cm.
NOTA: La máquina debe guardarse con el cepillo principal en posición elevada.
¡ADVERTENCIA!
El motor debe estar apagado cuando se realice este procedimiento.
Para cambiar el cepillo principal o darle la vuelta...
1 Sitúe el interruptor de llave de encendido (MM) en OFF.
2 Sitúe la palanca de elevación / descenso (ON / OFF) del cepillo principal (II) en posición DOWN.
3 Abra la puerta de acceso al cepillo principal (38).
4 Ver Figura 4. Retire el gran perno en T (A) del lateral del brazo libre del cepillo. Gire el conjunto del brazo hasta sacarlo del núcleo del
cepillo principal.
5 Saque el cepillo principal de su alojamiento y retire las cuerdas o alambres que puedan haber quedado enrollados en él. Examine
también los zócalos de la parte delantera, trasera y laterales del alojamiento del cepillo. Cambie o ajuste los zócalos si están rotos o
gastados hasta una altura superior a 6,35 mm del suelo.
6 Dé la vuelta al cepillo y vuelva a colocarlo en su alojamiento. Asegúrese de que las lengüetas (B) del cubo de transmisión del cepillo
(lado izquierdo) encajen en las ranuras del núcleo del cepillo.
7 Introduzca de nuevo el conjunto del brazo en el núcleo del cepillo e instale el perno en T que sujeta el brazo.
8 Cierre bien la puerta de acceso derecha del cepillo principal (38).
Para ajustar la altura del cepillo principal...
1 Lleve la máquina a una zona con el suelo nivelado y eche el freno de estacionamiento (GG).
2 Eche hacia atrás la palanca de elevación / descenso (ON/OFF) del cepillo principal (II) y deslícela hacia la derecha y hacia arriba para
bajar el cepillo principal. Pulse ligeramente la parte delantera del pedal de tracción (OO) para iniciar el giro del cepillo principal. NO
mueva la máquina.
3 Deje en marcha el cepillo principal durante 1 minuto. Esto permite barrer una “banda” del suelo. Al cabo de 1 minuto, levante el cepillo,
suelte el freno de estacionamiento y mueva la máquina para que quede visible la banda barrida.
4 Examine la banda barrida del suelo. Si su anchura es inferior a 5,08 cm o superior a 7,62 cm, será necesario ajustar el cepillo.
5 Para ajustar, a oje el botón de ajuste del cepillo principal (JJ) y deslice hacia delante o hacia atrás para subir o bajar el cepillo
principal. Cuanto más arriba se desplace el botón (5) en la ranura, más bajo quedará el cepillo principal. Apriete el botón (JJ) una vez
completado el ajuste.
6 Repita los pasos 1-5 hasta que la banda barrida presente una anchura de 5,08-7,62 cm.
La anchura de la banda barrida debe ser la misma en ambos extremos del cepillo. Si los extremos son más estrechos, lleve la máquina
a una zona distinta y repita los pasos 1-5. Si la banda barrida sigue presentando una forma desigual, póngase en contacto con su
proveedor Nil sk-Advance.

MANTENIMIENTO DEL CEPILLO LATERAL
El cepillo lateral desplaza la suciedad y los residuos de paredes o bordillos hacia el tramo del cepillo principal. Ajuste el cepillo lateral de
manera que las cerdas estén en contacto con el suelo cubriendo la zona entre las 10 (A) y las 3 (B) ilustrada en la gura 5 cuando el cepillo
está hacia abajo y funcionando.
Para ajustar el cepillo lateral...
1 El cepillo lateral se ajusta pulsando y manteniendo el interruptor de descenso/encendido del cepillo lateral (N) o el interruptor de
ascenso/apagado del cepillo lateral (Y) hasta que la cantidad deseada de cerdas esté en contacto con el suelo.
NOTA: La máquina debe guardarse con el cepillo lateral en posición elevada. Para un uso e caz, el cepillo lateral (13) debe cambiarse
cuando las cerdas estén gastadas hasta una longitud de 7,62 cm.
Para cambiar el cepillo lateral...
1 Suba el cepillo lateral.
2 Por debajo del cepillo lateral, retire la tuerca grande de palomilla que sujeta el cepillo lateral y retire el cepillo y el disco de plástico.
3 Instale el cepillo nuevo y el disco de plástico alineando los tres pasadores de alineación y empujando. Coloque de nuevo la tuerca de
palomilla y apriétela.

MANTENIMIENTO DE LA BOQUILLA
Después de cada uso, limpie la boquilla y compruebe que las cuchillas no presenten daños. Si la boquilla deja agua en medio de su tramo
o a ambos lados del mismo, es posible que necesite ajustarse. Sustituya o invierta las cuchillas si están cortadas, rasgadas, onduladas o
gastadas.
Para ajustar la boquilla:
1 Estacione la máquina en un suelo nivelado, baje la boquilla y conduzca hacia delante una corta distancia.
2 Ver Figura 6. A oje las dos tuercas de ajuste de la boquilla (A).
3 Gire los dos tornillos de ajuste de la boquilla (B) en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para inclinarla hacia delante o en el sentido
contrario de las agujas del reloj para inclinarla hacia atrás. Tire hacia delante ligeramente después de cada ajuste para comprobar que
las cuchillas de la boquilla tocan el suelo homogéneamente en toda la anchura de la boquilla. A continuación, vuelva a apretar las dos
tuercas (A). NOTA: Mantenga los tornillos (B) con la llave mientras se aprietan las tuercas de ajuste (A). Si se ajusta para una mayor
inclinación hacia delante, el apriete de las tuercas de ajuste (A) después de a ojar los tornillos de ajuste (B) es lo que hará que se

Para invertir o sustituir la cuchilla secadora de la boquilla trasera...
1 Abra el pestillo de la cuchilla de la boquilla trasera (C) y extraiga las (2) tuercas de palomilla (D).
2 Retire las dos correas traseras (E) y la cuchilla de la boquilla trasera (F) de la máquina.
3 La cuchilla de la boquilla tiene 4 bordes de trabajo. Gire la cuchilla de manera que un borde limpio e intacto apunte hacia la parte frontal
de la máquina. Sustituya la cuchilla si los 4 bordes están mellados, desgastados o reducidos al mínimo.
4 Instale la cuchilla siguiendo los pasos en orden inverso y ajuste la inclinación de la boquilla.
Para invertir o sustituir la cuchilla secadora de la boquilla delantera...
1 Desconecte de la boquilla la manguera de la boquilla.
2 A oje las (2) palancas de la boquilla (G) y deslice la boquilla sobre el soporte de la boquilla.
NOTA DE SERVICIO: Según la posición de la manilla de la palanca de la boquilla (H), es posible que no pueda girar la palanca lo su ciente
como para a ojar o apretar, dependiendo de lo que intente hacer. En tal caso, levante la manilla (H) y gire la palanca en la dirección
necesaria para adquirir el espacio de giro adecuado y permitir que la palanca descienda sobre el tapón hexagonal. Puede apretar o a ojar
según el caso.
3 Retire todas las tuercas de palomilla de la correa de la cuchilla de la boquilla delantera.
4 Retire la correa y la cuchilla de la boquilla.
5 La cuchilla de la boquilla tiene 4 bordes de trabajo. Gire la cuchilla de manera que un borde limpio e intacto apunte hacia la parte frontal
de la máquina. Sustituya la cuchilla si los 4 bordes están mellados, desgastados o reducidos al mínimo.
6 Instale la cuchilla siguiendo los pasos en orden inverso y ajuste la inclinación de la boquilla.

FILTRO DE CONTROL DE POLVO DE LA TOLVA
El ltro de control de polvo de la tolva debe limpiarse con regularidad para mantener la e cacia del sistema de aspiración. Respete la
frecuencia de servicio recomendada para conseguir la máxima duración del ltro.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Lleve puestas unas gafas protectoras para limpiar el ltro.
No perfore el ltro de papel.
Limpie el ltro en una zona bien ventilada.
Para retirar el ltro de control de polvo de la tolva...
1 Levante la cubierta de la tolva (18) situada en la parte superior de ésta. Compruebe que la varilla de apoyo de la cubierta de la tolva
(12) se encuentra colocada en su lugar.
2 Examine la parte superior del ltro de control de polvo de la tolva (19) para comprobar si existe algún deterioro. La acumulación de
gran cantidad de polvo en la parte superior del ltro suele deberse a la presencia de agujeros en el ltro o a daños en la junta.
3 Retire las dos sujeciones (una a cada lado de la parte delantera de la estructura) para dejar libre la estructura del agitador, saque el
agitador del ltro de polvo (20) y colóquelo con el pestillo del agitador (21).
4 Saque de la máquina el ltro de control de polvo (19).
5 Limpie el ltro de acuerdo con uno de los siguientes métodos:
Método “A”
Desprenda el polvo del ltro mediante aspiración. A continuación, golpee suavemente el ltro contra una super cie plana (con el lado
sucio hacia abajo) para eliminar el polvo y la suciedad. NOTA: Procure no dañar el borde metálico que se extiende más allá de la
junta.
Método “B”
Desprenda el polvo del ltro mediante aspiración. A continuación, aplique aire comprimido (presión máxima: 100 libras por pulgada
cuadrada) al lado limpio del ltro (en dirección contraria a la corriente de aire).
Método “C”
Desprenda el polvo del ltro mediante aspiración. A continuación, introduzca el ltro en agua templada durante 15 minutos, aclárelo
con un chorro suave de agua (presión máxima: 40 libras por pulgada cuadrada). Deje secar completamente el ltro antes de volver a
colocarlo en la máquina.
6 Siga las instrucciones en el orden inverso para instalar el ltro. Si la junta del ltro está rota o falta, debe instalarse una nueva.
ACEITE DEL MOTOR: GASOLINA Y PROPANO LÍQUIDO
Compruebe el nivel del aceite del motor cuando la máquina esté estacionada sobre una super cie nivelada y el motor esté frío. Cambie el aceite del motor
tras las primeras 35 horas de funcionamiento y, después, cada 150 horas. Utilice cualquier aceite de grado SF o SG que cumpla las especi caciones
del API y sea adecuado para las temperaturas de la estación. Consulte la sección Sistema del motor para conocer las capacidades del aceite y las
especi caciones adicionales del motor. Sustituya el ltro del aceite con cada cambio de aceite.

LÍQUIDO DE REFRIGERACIÓN DEL MOTOR
Levante la cubierta del motor (22) y observe el nivel del líquido de refrigeración en el depósito de recuperación del líquido de refrigeración
(23). Si el nivel es demasiado bajo, añada una mezcla de agua y anticongelante de automoción a partes iguales.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
No retire la tapa del radiador cuando el motor está caliente.
FILTRO DEL AIRE DEL MOTOR
Compruebe el indicador de servicio del ltro del aire (46) cada vez antes de la utilización de la máquina. No realice operaciones de servicio
en el ltro del aire si no aparece la bandera roja en el indicador de servicio.
¡PRECAUCIÓN!
Cuando realice operaciones de servicio en los elementos del ltro de aire, extreme las precauciones para impedir que el polvo
suelto penetre en el motor. El polvo podría dañarlo gravemente.
El ltro del aire del motor contiene un elemento de ltro principal (externo) y un elemento de ltro de seguridad (interno). El elemento
principal puede limpiarse dos veces antes ser sustituido. El elemento de seguridad debe cambiarse una vez por cada tres veces que se
cambie el elemento de ltro principal. No intente nunca limpiar el elemento interno de seguridad.
Para limpiar el elemento de ltro principal, retire las 2 pinzas del extremo del ltro del aire y retire el alojamiento del extremo. Saque el
elemento principal y límpielo con aire comprimido (presión máxima: 100 libras por pulgada cuadrada) o lávelo con agua (presión máxima: 40
libras por pulgada cuadrada). NO vuelva a colocar el elemento en el cartucho hasta que esté completamente seco.

DESCONEXIÓN DE LOS DISYUNTORES
Los disyuntores están situados en el panel de disyuntores, en el compartimiento del operario, y protegen los circuitos eléctricos y los motores
de los daños provocados por condiciones de sobrecarga. Si se produce la desconexión de algún disyuntor, intente averiguar la causa.
Posibles causas de desconexión del disyuntor del circuito accesorio 1 (25 A):

3 Conducción de detergente atascada o doblada (purgue el sistema, enderece la conducción para eliminar los dobles)
4 Tapa de junta seca en cartucho de detergente sin sellar (vuelva a colocar la tapa)
5 Falta el imán en el deslizador de mezcla de detergente (cambie el deslizador)
6 Cableado de la bomba de detergente desconectado o mal conectado (conecte el cableado o modi que la conexión)
