Before using this unit, carefully read the sections entitled: “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” and
“IMPORTANT NOTES” (supplied on a separate sheet).
These sections provide important information concerning the proper operation of the
unit. Additionally, in order to feel assured that you have gained a good grasp of every
feature provided by your new unit, this manual should be read in its entirety. The
manual should be saved and kept on hand as a convenient reference.
As shipped, the TU-88’s battery is not yet installed. Be sure to read the section “Changing
the Battery,“ and then follow the instructions to install the battery.

To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other devices,
always turn down the volume, and turn off the power on all devices before
making any connections.
Once the connections have been completed, turn on power to your amp or
other amplification system last. By turning on devices in the wrong order,
you risk causing malfunction and/or damage to speakers and other
devices.

How to Use the Tuner
1. Connect the instrument to be tuned to the INPUT jack.
If you're tuning an acoustic instrument, use the built-in mic instead. To use the mic,
make sure that nothing is connected to the INPUT or OUTPUT jacks, and place the
TU-88 near the instrument.
* To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other devices, always turn down the volume,
and turn off the power on all devices before making any connections.
2. Press [ ] (Power button) to switch the power on.
3. Press [ TUNER] to switch the tuner mode.
4. Press [SEL], then press [ ] [ ] to choose the tuning mode
(CHROMATIC, GUITAR, or BASS).
5. If necessary, press [SEL] with [ ] and [ ] to make settings for Flat
tuning and/or the reference pitch.
When the setting has been made, press [SEL] a number of times until the flashing
display ends.
6. Play a single note on the instrument.
The meter and Tuning Guide show how far the note is from the correct pitch.
7. Tune the instrument.
With the intended note name/string number appearing in the display, tune the
instrument so that both and of the Tuning Guide are lit, and the meter
needle points to 0 (center position).
When the Accu-Pitch feature is on, the tuner makes a beeping sound when the note
is stabilized at the correct pitch, informing you that the note is in tune.
Using the Metronome
1. Press [ ] (Power button) to switch the power on.
2. Press [ METRO] to select Metronome mode.
Each press of [ METRO] switches the metronome on or off.
3. As desired, press [SEL] and use [ ] and [ ] to make settings for the
rhythm style, beat, and tempo.
You can tap in the desired metronome tempo with [TAP].
TU-88 Settings
Changing the Reference Pitch for Tuning
1. Press [ TUNER] to select Tuner mode.
2. Press [SEL] three times.
The reference pitch flashes.
3. Press [ ] or [ ] to set the frequency.
4. Press [SEL] again.
This completes the setting. The displayed reference pitch stops flashing and
remains steadily lighted.
Flat Tuning (Flat Feature)
1. Press [ TUNER] to select Tuner mode.
Press [SEL] twice.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to set the number of flats (the number of flat
semitones) you want.
When and flash in alternation, it indicates regular tuning (the Flat
feature is off).
3. Press [SEL] twice.
This completes the setting. The displayed stops flashing and remains steadily
lighted.
Playing the Reference Tone
1. Press [ ] (Sound button) to play the reference tone.
2. Press [ ] or [ ] to specify the note name or string number you want
to tune.
The sound of the note name/string number shown in the display is played.
When you're using Sound mode, tuning cannot be performed using the
built-in mic (the built-in mic is disabled).
3. Press [ ] (Sound) to stop playing the reference tone.
Useful Features
Preventing Battery Drain If You Forget to Switch Off the
Power (Auto Power Off Feature)
When using battery power, if the TU-88 remains in the state described below for
approximately thirty minutes after it was turned on, the power will automatically be
switched off.
• No button has been pressed, and
• In tuner mode, no audio (including input from the built-in mic) has been detected
Deactivating the Auto Power Off Feature
You can temporarily deactivate the Auto Power Off feature when you power up the
TU-88.
Hold down [ ] and [ ] and press [ ] (Power button) to turn on the power.
"OF" is displayed and the power comes on with the Auto Power Off feature
deactivated.
The Auto Power Off feature will be enabled the next time you turn on the power in
the usual way.
Using a Tone to Indicate Tuning is Completed
(Accu-Pitch Feature)
When the Accu-Pitch feature is on, a beeping sound is played when the pitch of the
instrument you’re tuning stabilizes within a range of three cents above or below
the correct pitch. This sound tells you that the pitch is in tune.
Switching the Accu-Pitch Feature On and Off
1. Hold down [ TUNER] and press [ ] (Power button) to switch the
power on.
Whenever this operation is carried out, the Accu-Pitch feature is switched on or off.
When the Accu-Pitch feature is enabled, Accu-Pitch appears in the display. Nothing
is displayed when the feature is deactivated.
Memory Feature
Once a battery is installed in the TU-88, the following settings can be stored in
memory, where they'll be preserved even while the power is turned off.
If the battery is removed or is depleted, all data saved in memory may be
lost.
Changing the Battery
The tuning guide flashes when the battery begins to
run down.
Replace the battery as soon as possible.
* When turning the unit upside-down, place it on a soft cloth or
the like so as to prevent damage to the panel.
1. Open the battery compartment (located
on the bottom of the unit) by sliding the
cover toward OPEN.
2. Remove the old battery from the battery
compartment.
3. Insert a fresh 6F22 (9 V) battery.
* Make sure the “+” and “-” terminals of the battery are oriented correctly.
4. Slide the cover of the battery compartment back into place.

schalten Sie alle Geräte aus, bevor Sie Verbindungen herstellen.

Verwendung des Stimmgeräts
1. Schließen Sie das zu stimmende Instrument an der INPUT-Buchse an.
Wenn Sie ein akustisches Instrument stimmen, verwenden Sie statt dessen das
eingebaute Mikrofon. Um das Mikrofon zu verwenden, vergewissern Sie sich, dass
an der INPUT- und der OUTPUT-Buchse nichts angeschlossen ist, und stellen Sie
den TU-88 nah am Instrument auf.
* Um Fehlfunktionen und/oder Schäden an Lautsprechern oder anderen Geräten zu vermeiden, regeln
Sie stets die Lautstärke herunter und schalten Sie alle Geräte aus, bevor Sie Verbindungen herstellen.
2. Drücken Sie die [ ]-Taste, um das Gerät einzuschalten.
3. Drücken Sie die [ TUNER]-Taste, um in den Stimmmodus zu schalten.
4. Drücken Sie die [SEL]-Taste, und wählen Sie dann mit den Tasten [ ]
[ ] den Stimmmodus aus (CHROMATIC, GUITAR oder BASS).
5. Falls erforderlich, nehmen Sie mit den Tasten [SEL] sowie [ ] und
[ ] Einstellungen für Flat Tuning (Saiten tiefer stimmen) und/oder
Referenztonhöhe vor.
Wenn Sie Ihre Einstellungen vorgenommen haben, drücken Sie [SEL] solange, bis
das Display aufhört zu blinken.
6. Spielen Sie einen einzigen Ton auf dem Instrument.
Die Höhen- und die Richtanzeige zeigen an, wie weit der Ton von der richtigen
Tonhöhe entfernt ist.
7. Stimmen Sie das Instrument.
Stimmen Sie, während der beabsichtigte Notenname/die Saitennummer im Display
angezeigt wird, das Instrument, bis die Pfeile und der Richtanzeige leuchten
und die Nadel der Tonhöhenanzeige auf 0 zeigt (mittlere Stellung).
Wenn die Accu-Pitch-Funktion eingeschaltet ist, ertönt ein Signalton, wenn der Ton
auf der richtigen Höhe stabilisiert ist. Daran erkennen Sie, dass der Ton richtig
gestimmt ist.
Verwenden des Metronoms
1. Drücken Sie die [ ]-Taste, um das Gerät einzuschalten.
2. Drücken Sie die [ METRO]-Taste, um in den Metronommodus zu
schalten.
Mit jedem Drücken der [ METRO]-Taste wird das Metronom abwechselnd ein-
und ausgeschaltet.
3. Drücken Sie bei Bedarf die [SEL]-Taste und nehmen Sie mit den
Pfeiltasten [ ] und [ ], um Einstellungen für Rhythmusart,
Taktschläge (Zählzeiten) und Tempo vorzunehmen.
Sie können das gewünschte Metronomtempo mit der [TAP]-Taste
eingeben.
Einstellungen des TU-88
Ändern der Referenztonhöhe für das Stimmen
1. Drücken Sie die [ TUNER]-Taste, um den Stimmmodus
auszuwählen.
2. Drücken Sie dreimal die [SEL]-Taste.
Die Referenztonhöhe blinkt.
3. Stellen Sie mit den Pfeiltasten [ ] und [ ] die Frequenz ein.
4. Drücken Sie erneut die [SEL]-Taste.
Damit ist die Einstellung abgeschlossen. Die angezeigte Referenztonhöhe leuchtet
nun konstant.
Flat Tuning – Saiten tiefer stimmen (Flat-Funktion)
1. Drücken Sie die [ TUNER]-Taste, um den Stimmmodus
auszuwählen.
Drücken Sie zweimal die [SEL]-Taste.
2. Stellen Sie mit den Pfeiltasten [ ] und [ ] die gewünschte Anzahl
von Halbtönen (Flat = Englisch für „erniedrigt“) ein.
Wenn die Symbole und abwechselnd blinken, zeigt dies an, dass das
Gerät auf normales Stimmen eingestellt ist (die Flat-Funktion ist ausgeschaltet).
3. Drücken Sie zweimal die [SEL]-Taste.
Damit ist die Einstellung abgeschlossen. Das angezeigte leuchet nun konstant.
Spielen des Referenztons
1. Drücken Sie die [ ]-Taste (Ton), um den Referenzton zu spielen.
2. Drücken Sie die Pfeiltasten [ ] oder [ ], um den zu stimmenden
Notennamen bzw. die Saitennummer anzugeben.
Der Ton, dessen Notenname/Saitennummer im Display angezeigt wird, wird
gespielt.
Wenn Sie den Tonmodus verwenden, kann das Stimmen nicht mit Hilfe des
eingebauten Mikrofons erfolgen (dieses ist deaktiviert).
3. Drücken Sie die [ ]-Taste (Ton), um die Referenzton-Wiedergabe zu
stoppen.
Nützliche Funktionen
Verhindern von Batterieverbrauch, wenn Sie das Ausschalten
vergessen (Auto-Power-Off-Funktion)
Wenn das TU-88 im Batteriebetrieb nach dem Einschalten für ca. 30 Minuten in einem
der nachstehend beschriebenen Zustände verbleibt, schaltet es sich automatisch aus.
• Keine Taste wurde gedrückt, und
• Im Stimmgerät-Modus, kein Audiosignal (einschließlich eines Eingangssignals vom
eingebauten Mikrofon) wurde erkannt.
Deaktivieren der Auto-Power-Off-Funktionen
Sie konnen die Auto-Power-Off-Funktion vorubergehend deaktivieren, wenn Sie
den TU-88 einschalten. Halten Sie die [ ]- und [ ]-Tasten gedrückt und schalten
Sie das Gerät mit der [ ]-Taste ein. "OF" wird angezeigt, und das Gerät schaltet sich
mit deaktivierter Auto Power Off-Funktion ein.
Die Auto-Power-Off-Funktion wird aktiviert, wenn Sie das Gerät auf normale Weise
einschalten.
Verwenden eines Signals, um das Ende des Stimmvorgangs
anzuzeigen (Accu-Pitch-Funktion)
Wenn die Accu-Pitch-Funktion eingeschaltet ist, erklingt ein Signalton, wenn sich
die Tonhöhe des zu stimmenden Instruments im Bereich von drei Cent über oder
unter der richtigen Tonhöhe stabilisiert. Dieses Signal weist Sie darauf hin, dass die
Tonhöhe richtig ist.
Ein- und Ausschalten der Accu-Pitch-Funktion
1. Halten Sie die [ TUNER]-Taste gedrückt, und schalten Sie das Gerät
mit der [ ]-Taste (Netztaste) ein.
Durch diesen Vorgang wird die Accu-Pitch-Funktion ein- oder ausgeschaltet. Bei
aktivierter Accu-Pitch-Funktion wird im Display „Accu-Pitch“ angezeigt. Wenn die
Funktion deaktiviert ist, wird nichts angezeigt.
Speicherfunktion
Wenn in den TU-88 eine Batterie eingelegt ist, bleiben die folgenden Einstellungen
auch nach Ausschalten im internen Speicher gesichert.
Wenn die Batterie herausgenommen wird oder leer ist, könnten alle
gespeicherten Daten verloren gehen.
Auswechseln der Batterie
Die Pfeile der Richtanzeige blinken, wenn die
Batteriespannung nachlässt.
Ersetzen Sie die Batterie so bald wie möglich.
* Legen Sie das Gerät, wenn Sie es umdrehen, auf ein weiches
Tuch oder etwas Ähnliches, um eine Beschädigung des
Bedienfelds zu vermeiden.
1. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach (an der
Unterseite des Geräts), indem Sie die
Abdeckung in Richtung OPEN (Öffnen)
schieben.
2. Entnehmen Sie die alte Batterie aus dem Batteriefach.
3. Legen Sie eine neue 6F22-Batterie (9 V) ein.
* Achten Sie darauf, die Pole „+“ und „-“ der Batterie richtig auszurichten.
4. Schließen Sie die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs wieder.

Afin d’éviter tout dysfonctionnement et/ou dommage aux haut-parleurs et
aux autres appareils, réduisez le volume de tous vos appareils au minimum,
puis mettez-les hors tension avant d’effectuer vos branchements.
Une fois les connexions établies, mettez sous tension votre amplificateur
de guitare ou autre. Si vous ne respectez pas cet ordre, vous risquez de
provoquer des dysfonctionnements et/ou d’endommager les enceintes et
autres appareils.

Utilisation de l’accordeur
1. Branchez l’instrument à accorder à la prise INPUT.
Si vous accordez un instrument acoustique, utilisez le micro intégré. Pour utiliser le
micro, veillez à ce qu’aucun élément ne soit branché sur les prises INPUT ou
OUTPUT et placez le TU-88 près de l’instrument.
* Pour éviter tout dysfonctionnement et/ou dommage sur les enceintes ou d’autres appareils, baissez
toujours le volume et mettez tous les appareils hors tension avant tout branchement.
2. Pour mettre sous tension, appuyez sur [ ] (bouton Power).
3. Pour passer en mode accordeur appuyez sur [ TUNER].
4. Pour choisir le mode d’accordage (CHROMATIC, GUITAR ou BASS),
appuyez sur [SEL] puis sur [ ] [ ].
5. Si nécessaire, appuyez sur [SEL] avec [ ] et [ ] pour définir les
paramètres d’accord altéré et/ou le diapason de référence.
Une fois le réglage effectué, appuyez sur [SEL] autant de fois que nécessaire pour
que l'affichage cesse de clignoter.
6. Jouez une note sur votre instrument.
Le vumètre et le guide d’accord montrent l’écart de la note par rapport au diapason
correct.
7. Accordez l’instrument.
Le nom de note/numéro de corde voulu étant affiché à l’écran, accordez
l’instrument jusqu’à ce que les voyants et du guide d’accord s’allument et
que l’aiguille de le vumètre atteigne 0 (position centrale).
Lorsque la fonction Accu-Pitch est activée, l’accordeur émet un signal sonore
lorsque la note est accordée correctement.
Utilisation du métronome
1. Pour mettre sous tension, appuyez sur [ ] (bouton Power).
2. Pour sélectionner le mode Metronome, appuyez sur [ METRO].
Pour activer ou désactiver le métronome, appuyez sur [ METRO].
3. Si nécessaire, appuyez sur [SEL] et utilisez [ ] et [ ] pour définir les
paramètres du style de rythme et du tempo.
Pour saisir le tempo de métronome voulu utilisez le bouton [TAP].
Réglages du TU-88
Changement du diapason de référence pour l’accordage
1. Pour choisir le mode Tuner, appuyez sur [ TUNER].
2. Appuyez trois fois sur [SEL].
Le diapason de référence clignote.
3. Pour définir la fréquence appuyez sur [ ] ou [ ].
4. Appuyez à nouveau sur [SEL].
Le réglage est alors terminé. Le diapason de référence affiché arrête de clignoter et
demeure allumé en permanence.
Accord altéré (fonction Flat)
1. Pour choisir le mode Tuner, appuyez sur [ TUNER].
Appuyez deux fois sur [SEL].
2. Appuyez sur [ ] ou [ ] pour définir le nombre de demi-tons altérés
voulu.

3. Appuyez deux fois sur [SEL].
Le réglage est alors terminé. Le affiché arrête de clignoter et demeure allumé en
permanence.
Émission du diapason de référence
1.
Pour jouer le diapason de référence appuyez sur [ ] (bouton Sound).
2. Pour indiquer le nom de note ou le numéro de corde à jouer appuyez
sur [ ] ou [ ].
Le son du nom de note ou du numéro de corde affiché dans l’écran est émis.
Lorsque vous utilisez le mode Sound, l’accordage n’est pas réalisable avec
le micro intégré (celui-ci est désactivé).
3. Appuyez sur [ ] (Sound) pour arrêter l’émission du diapason de
référence.
Fonctions utiles
Eviter la perte de charge des piles en cas d’oubli de mise hors
tension (fonction Auto Power Off)
Lorsque le TU-88 est alimenté par piles, il est automatiquement mis hors tension
lorsqu'il demeure dans l'état décrit ci-dessous pendant environ trente minutes à
partir de sa mise sous tension.
• Aucune commande n'a été manipulée, et
• En mode tuner, aucun signal audio (y compris provenant du micro intégré) n'a été détecté.
Désactivation de la fonction Auto Power Off
Vous pouvez désactiver provisoirement la fonction Auto Power Off lorsque vous
mettez le TU-88 sous tension. Maintenez les boutons [ ] et [ ] enfoncés et
appuyez sur [ ] (bouton Power) pour mettre l’appareil sous tension.
«OF» s'affiche et l'appareil est mis sous tension avec la fonction Auto Power Off
désactivée.
La fonction Auto Power Off s'active à la prochaine mise sous tension normale de
l’appareil.
Signal avertissant que l’accordage est terminé (Fonction
Accu-Pitch)
Lorsque la fonction Accu-Pitch est activée, un signal sonore est émis lorsque le son
de l’instrument que vous accordez se stabilise à un diapason situé dans une plage
de trois centièmes au-dessus ou en dessous de la note correcte. Ce signal vous
avertit que le diapason est réglé.
Activation et désactivation de la fonction Accu-Pitch
1. Appuyez et maintenez enfoncé [ TUNER] tout en appuyant sur [ ]
(bouton Power) pour mettre sous tension.
Chaque fois que cette opération est exécutée, la fonction Accu-Pitch est activée ou
désactivée. Lorsque la fonction Accu-Pitch est activée, Accu-Pitch s’affiche à l’écran.
Rien ne s’affiche lorsque la fonction est désactivée.
Fonction de mémoire
Lorsque le TU-88 contient une pile, les réglages suivants peuvent être stockés et
conservés en mémoire même pendant la mise hors tension.
Si la pile est retirée ou déchargée, toutes les données sauvegardées dans la
mémoire risquent d'être perdues.
Changement de la pile
Le guide d’accord clignote lorsque la pile commence
àfaiblir.
Remplacez la pile dès que possible.
* Lorsque vous retournez l’appareil, placez-le sur un chiffon
doux pour éviter d’endommager le panneau.
1. Ouvrez le compartiment à piles (situé au
bas de l’appareil) en faisant glisser le
couvercle vers OPEN.
2. Retirez les piles anciennes du
compartiment à piles.
3. Introduisez une pile neuve 6F22 (9 V).
* Veillez à orienter correctement les pôles « + » et « -» de la pile.
4. Remettez en place le couvercle du compartiment à piles.

Per evitare malfunzionamenti e/o danni ai diffusori o ad altri dispositivi,
abbassare sempre il volume e spegnere tutti i dispositivi prima di
effettuare qualsiasi collegamento.
Una volta effettuati i collegamenti, accendere l'amplificatore della chitarra
o altri impianti di amplificazione per ultimi. Se si segue un ordine di
accensione sbagliato, si rischiano malfunzionamenti e/o danni agli
altoparlanti e agli altri dispositivi.

Uso dell'accordatore
1. Collegare lo strumento da accordare al jack INPUT.
Per accordare uno strumento acustico, utilizzare il microfono incorporato.
Assicurarsi di non aver collegato nulla ai jack INPUT o OUTPUT e posizionare il TU-
88 vicino allo strumento.
* Per evitare malfunzionamenti e/o danni agli altoparlanti o ad altri dispositivi, abbassare sempre
il volume e spegnere tutti i dispositivi prima di eseguire qualsiasi collegamento.
2. Premere [ ] (pulsante di accensione) per accendere l'unità.
3. Premere [ TUNER] per attivare la modalità dell'accordatore.
4. Premere [SEL], quindi premere [ ] [ ] per scegliere la modalità di
accordatura (CHROMATIC, GUITAR o BASS).
5. Se necessario, premere [SEL] con [ ] e [ ] per definire le
impostazioni per accordatura flat e/o tono di riferimento.
Dopo avere eseguito l'impostazione, premere più volte [SEL] finché il display non
smette di lampeggiare.
6. Suonare una nota sullo strumento.
L'indicatore e la Guida per l'accordatura indicano quanto manca alla corretta
intonazione della nota.
7. Accordare lo strumento.
Mentre sul display è visualizzato il nome della nota o il numero della corda
desiderata, accordare lo strumento finché e non si accendono nella Guida
per l'accordatura e l'ago dell'indicatore non è puntato sullo 0 (posizione centrale).
Se è attiva la funzione Accu-Pitch, l'accordatore emette un "bip" quando la nota
raggiunge l'intonazione giusta.
Uso del metronomo
1. Premere [ ] (pulsante di accensione) per accendere l'unità.
2. Premere [ METRO] per selezionare la modalità del metronomo.
Ogni volta che si preme [ METRO], il metronomo viene attivato o disattivato.
3. Premere [SEL] e utilizzare [ ] e [ ] per definire le impostazioni di
stile ritmico, beat e tempo.
È possibile inserire il tempo desiderato per il metronomo con [TAP].
Impostazioni TU-88
Come cambiare il tono di riferimento per l'accordatura
1. Premere [ TUNER] per attivare la modalità dell'accordatore.
2. Premere [SEL] tre volte.
Il tono di riferimento lampeggia.
3. Premere [ ] o [ ] per impostare la frequenza.
4. Premere di nuovo [SEL].
L'impostazione è completata. Il tono di riferimento visualizzato smette di
lampeggiare e rimane acceso.
Accordatura flat (funzione Flat)
1. Premere [ TUNER] per attivare la modalità dell'accordatore.
Premere [SEL] due volte.
2. Premere [ ] o [ ] per impostare il numero di semitoni flat (bemolle)
desiderati.
Se e lampeggiano in modo alternato, significa che è attivata
l'accordatura normale e che la funzione Flat è disattivata.
3. Premere [SEL] due volte.
L'impostazione è completata. L'icona visualizzata smette di lampeggiare
e rimane accesa.
Riproduzione del tono di riferimento
1. Premere [ ] (pulsante Sound) per ascoltare il tono di riferimento.
2. Premere [ ] o [ ] per specificare il nome della nota o il numero di
corda che si desidera accordare.
Viene emesso il suono della nota o della corda mostrata nel display.
Se si usa la modalità Sound, non è possibile effettuare l'accordatura
mediante il microfono incorporato, in quanto è disattivato.
3. Premere [ ] (Sound) per arrestare la riproduzione del tono di
riferimento.
Funzioni utili
Prevenzione dello scaricamento delle batterie se ci si
dimentica di spegnere l'unità (funzione di spegnimento
automatico)
Quando si utilizza l'alimentazione a batteria, se il TU-88 rimane nello stato descritto
di seguito per oltre trenta minuti dopo l'accensione, verrà spento
automaticamente.
• Non è stato premuto alcun pulsante e
• In modalità accordatore, nessun audio rilevato (compreso l'ingresso dal microfono
incorporato).
Disattivazione della funzione di spegnimento automatico
È possibile disattivare momentaneamente la funzione di spegnimento automatico
quando si accende il TU-88. Tenere premuto [ ] e [ ] e premere [ ] (pulsante di
accensione) per accendere l'unità.
Viene visualizzato "OF" e l'unità si accende con la funzione di spegnimento
automatico disattivata.
La funzione di spegnimento automatico sarà attivata la prossima volta che si
accende normalmente l'unità.
Emissione di un suono per indicare il completamento
dell'accordatura (funzione Accu-Pitch)
Se la funzione Accu-Pitch è attivata, verrà emesso un "bip" quando il suono dello
strumento che si sta accordando si è stabilizzato su un'intonazione non oltre tre
centesimi in diesis o bemolle. Questo suono indica che l'accordatura è corretta.

Sostituzione della batteria
La Guida per l'accordatura lampeggia quando la
batteria inizia a scaricarsi.
Sostituire la batteria prima possibile.
* Quando si capovolge l'unità, posizionarla su un panno
morbido o materiali simili per evitare danni al pannello.
1. Aprire il vano batterie situato sotto
l'unità facendo scorrere il coperchio
verso la posizione OPEN.
2. Togliere la vecchia batteria.
3. Inserire una batteria 6F22 (9 V) nuova.

Una vez realizadas las conexiones, encienda el amplificador de guitarra u otro
sistema de amplificación en último lugar. Si se ponen en marcha los dispositivos
en un orden equivocado, puede producirse un funcionamiento deficiente y/o
dañar los altavoces y otros dispositivos.

Cómo usar el afinador
1. Conecte el instrumento que desea afinar en el conector INPUT.
Si va a afinar un instrumento acústico, utilice el micrófono integrado en su lugar.
Para usar el micrófono, asegúrese de que no haya nada conectado en los
conectores INPUT u OUTPUT y acerque el TU-88 al instrumento.
* Para evitar que los altavoces u otros dispositivos presenten desperfectos o sufran daños, desconecte
siempre el volumen y apague todos los dispositivos antes de proceder a realizar cualquier conexión.
2. Pulse [ ] (botón de alimentación) para encender la unidad.
3. Pulse [ TUNER] para cambiar al modo de afinador.
4. Pulse [SEL] y, a continuación, [ ] [ ] para seleccionar el modo de
afinación (CHROMATIC, GUITAR o BASS).
5. Si es necesario, pulse [SEL] con [ ] y [ ] para realizar ajustes para
la afinación de bemol y/o el tono de referencia.
Una vez realizado el ajuste, pulse [SEL] varias veces hasta que la pantalla deje de
parpadear.
6. Toque una nota en el instrumento.
El medidor y la guía de afinación muestran lo alejada que está la nota del tono correcto.
7. Afine el instrumento.
Mientras el nombre de nota/número de cuerda previsto aparece en la pantalla,
afine el instrumento de modo que y de la guía de afinación se iluminen
y la aguja del medidor apunte al 0 (la posición central).
Si la función Accu-Pitch está activada, el afinador emite un pitido cuando la nota
se estabiliza en el tono correcto e informa de que la nota está afinada.
Uso del metrónomo
1. Pulse [ ] (botón de alimentación) para encender la unidad.
2. Pulse [ METRO] para seleccionar el modo de metrónomo.
Cada pulsación de [ METRO] activa o desactiva el metrónomo.
3. Si lo desea, pulse [SEL] y utilice [ ] y [ ] para realizar ajustes en el estilo
de ritmo, compás y tempo.
Puede acceder al tempo de metrónomo que desee con [TAP].
Ajustes de TU-88
Cambio del tono de referencia para la afinación
1. Pulse [ TUNER] para seleccionar el modo de afinador.

Cuando y parpadean de forma alternativa, indica una afinación
normal (la función de bemol está desactivada).
3. Pulse [SEL] dos veces.
De este modo habrá concluido el ajuste. El mostrado deja de parpadear
y permanece iluminado de forma fija.
Reproducción de tono de referencia
1. Pulse [ ] (botón de sonido) para reproducir el tono de referencia.
2. Pulse [ ] o [ ] para especificar el nombre de nota o número de
cuerda que desea afinar.
Se reproduce el sonido del nombre de la nota/número de cuerda mostrado en la pantalla.
Cuando se utiliza el modo de sonido, la afinación no se puede efectuar con
el micrófono integrado (está desactivado).

Funciones útiles
Cómo evitar que la pila se agote si se olvida apagar la unidad
(función de apagado automático)
Cuando se utiliza la alimentación por pilas, si el TU-88 permanece en el estado
descrito a continuación durante aproximadamente treinta minutos después de
encenderlo, se apagará automáticamente.
• No se ha pulsado ningún botón y
• En el modo afinador, no se ha detectado audio (incluida la entrada del micrófono integrado).
Desactivación de la función de apagado automático
Puede desactivar temporalmente la función de apagado automático al encender el
TU-88. Mantenga pulsado [ ] y [ ], y pulse [ ] (botón de alimentación) para
encender la unidad. "OF" aparece en pantalla y la unidad se enciende con la función
de apagado automático desactivada.
La función de apagado automático se activará la próxima vez que se encienda la
unidad de la forma habitual.
Uso de un tono para indicar que ha finalizado la afinación
(función Accu-Pitch)
Cuando la función Accu-Pitch está activada, suena un pitido cuando el sonido del
instrumento que está afinando se estabiliza en un tono que no sea más de tres
centésimas agudo o bemol. Este sonido indica que el tono está afinado.
La función de referencia de tono ejecutado hace fácil la verificación de la
afinación por el oído.La función Accu-Pitch genera el sonido de un tono
cuando se alcanza la afinación. Accu-Pitch verifica la entonación haciendo
sonar una nota cuando se consigue la afinación correcta.
Activación y desactivación de la función Accu-Pitch
1. Mantenga pulsado [ TUNER] y pulse [ ] (botón de alimentación)
para encender la unidad.
Siempre que se realiza esta operación, la función Accu-Pitch se activa o desactiva.
Cuando la función Accu-Pitch está activada, en la pantalla aparece Accu-Pitch. No
se muestra nada si la función está desactivada.
Función de memoria
Cuando se instala una pila en el TU-88, se pueden almacenar los siguientes ajustes
en la memoria, donde se mantendrán aunque se apague la unidad.
Si la pila se agota o se retira, los datos guardados en memoria podrían
perderse.
Cambio de la pila
La guía de afinación parpadea cuando la pila comienza
a agotarse.
Sustituya la pila lo antes posible.
* Cuando vaya a poner la unidad al revés, colóquela sobre un
paño suave o similar para no dañar el panel.
1. Abra el compartimento de la pila (situado
en la parte inferior de la unidad)

2. Retire la pila gastada del compartimento
correspondiente.
3. Inserte una pila nueva de tipo 6F22 (9 V).

falantes e em outros aparelhos.

Como usar o afinador
1. Conecte o instrumento a ser afinado ao plugue INPUT.
Caso você esteja usando um instrumento acústico, use o microfone interno em seu
lugar. Para usar o microfone, verifique se não há nada conectado aos plugues
INPUT ou OUTPUT e coloque o TU-88 próximo ao instrumento.
* Para evitar mau funcionamento e/ou danos aos alto-falantes ou a outros aparelhos, diminua sempre
o volume e desligue todos os aparelhos antes de fazer qualquer conexão.
2. Pressione [ ] (botão Power) para ligar a energia.
3. Pressione [ TUNER] para ativar o modo de afinador.
4. Pressione [SEL] e, em seguida, [ ] [ ] para escolher o modo de
afinação (CHROMATIC, GUITAR ou BASS).
5. Se necessário, pressione [SEL] com [ ] e [ ] para fazer os ajustes da
afinação em bemol e/ou da altura de referência.
Quando o ajuste for feito, pressione [SEL] várias vezes até que o visor pare de piscar.
6. Toque uma única nota no instrumento.
O medidor e o Guia de afinação mostram a distância da nota em relação à altura correta.
7. Afine o instrumento.
Com o nome da nota/número da corda desejada exibido no monitor, afine
o instrumento para que e do Guia de afinação acendam simultaneamente e
a agulha do medidor aponte para 0 (posição central).
Quando o recurso Accu-Pitch está ligado, o afinador emite um bipe quando a nota
se estabiliza na altura correta, informando que a nota está afinada.
Usando o metrônomo
1. Pressione [ ] (botão Power) para ligar a energia.
2. Pressione [ METRO] para selecionar o modo Metronome.
Sempre que [ METRO] é pressionado, o metrônomo é ativado ou desativado.
3. Conforme desejado, pressione [SEL] e use [ ] e [ ] para fazer
ajustes no estilo de ritmo, na batida e no ritmo.
É possível sincronizar o ritmo do metrônomo desejado com [TAP].
Ajustes do TU-88
Alterando a altura de referência da afinação
1. Pressione [ TUNER] para selecionar o modo Tuner.
2. Pressione [SEL] três vezes.
A altura de referência pisca.
3. Pressione [ ] ou [ ] para ajustar a freqüência.
4. Pressione [SEL] novamente.
Isso conclui o ajuste. A altura de referência exibida pára de piscar e permanece
acesa continuamente.
Afinação em bemol (recurso Flat)
1. Pressione [ TUNER] para selecionar o modo Tuner.
Pressione [SEL] duas vezes.
2. Pressione [ ] ou [ ] para ajustar o número de bemóis (o número de
semitons em bemol) desejados.
Quando e piscam alternadamente, isso indica a afinação regular
(o recurso Flat está desativado).
3. Pressione [SEL] duas vezes.
Isso conclui o ajuste. O exibido pára de piscar e permanece aceso continuamente.
Reproduzindo o tom de referência
1. Pressione [ ] (botão Sound) para reproduzir o tom de referência.
2. Pressione [ ] ou [ ] para especificar o nome da nota ou o número
da corda que você deseja afinar.
O som do nome da nota/número da corda mostrada no monitor é reproduzido.
Quando você está usando o modo Sound, não é possível afinar usando
o microfone interno (o microfone interno é desativado).

Pressione [ ] (Sound) a fim de parar a reprodução do tom de referência.
Recursos úteis
Evitando a descarga da bateria caso você se esqueça de
desligar a energia (recurso Auto Power Off)
Ao usar a energia das pilhas, se o TU-88 continuar no estado descrito abaixo por
aproximadamente trinta minutos depois de ser ligado, a energia será desligada
automaticamente.
• Nenhum botão foi pressionado e
• No modo tuner, nenhum áudio (incluindo a entrada pelo microfone interno) foi detectado.
Desativando o recurso Auto Power Off
É possível desativar temporariamente o recurso Auto Power Off quando você ligar
o TU-88. Mantenha [ ] e [ ] e pressione [ ] (botão Power) para ligar a energia.
"OF" é exibido, e a força é ligada com o recurso Auto Power Off desativado.
O recurso Auto Power Off sempre será ativado na próxima vez em que você ligar a
energia da maneira usual.
Usando um tom para indicar que a afinação foi concluída
(recurso Accu-Pitch)
Quando o recurso Accu-Pitch está ativado, é reproduzido um bipe quando o som do
instrumento que você está afinando se estabilizar em uma altura inferior a três
centésimos em sustenido ou bemol. Esse som informa que a altura está afinada.
Ativando e desativando o recurso Accu-Pitch
1. Mantenha [ TUNER] pressionado e pressione [ ] (botão Power)
para ligar a energia.
Sempre que essa operação é realizada, o recurso Accu-Pitch é ativado ou
desativado. Quando o recurso Accu-Pitch está ativado, Accu-Pitch é exibido no
monitor. Quando o recurso está desativado, não é exibido nada.
Recurso de memória
Uma vez instaladas as pilhas no TU-88, os seguintes ajustes podem ser
armazenados na memória, onde serão mantidos, mesmo que a energia seja
desligada.
Se a bateria for removida ou acabar, todos os dados salvos na memória
podem ser perdidos.

Troque as pilhas assim que possível.

1. Abra o compartimento de pilhas
(localizado na parte inferior do
equipamento) deslizando a tampa no
sentido de OPEN.
2. Remova as pilhas velhas do compartimento de pilhas.
3. Insira pilhas novas 6F22 (9 V).
* Verifique se os terminais “+” e “-” das pilhas estão na orientação correta.
4. Recoloque a tampa do compartimento de pilhas.

Zet het volume altijd lager en schakel alle apparaten uit voordat
u aansluitingen maakt om defecten en/of schade aan luidsprekers of
andere apparaten te voorkomen.
Schakel uw gitaarversterker of ander versterkingssysteem als laatste in
zodra alle aansluitingen zijn gebeurd. Als u de apparaten in de verkeerde
volgorde inschakelt, kunnen er defecten optreden en/of kan er schade aan
de luidsprekers en andere apparaten ontstaan.

Het stemapparaat gebruiken
1. Sluit het instrument dat moet worden gestemd aan op de INPUT-
aansluiting.
Gebruik de ingebouwde microfoon als u een akoestisch instrument stemt. Zorg
ervoor dat er niets is aangesloten op de INPUT- of OUTPUT-aansluitingen en plaats
de TU-88 in de buurt van het instrument om de microfoon te gebruiken.
* Zet het volume altijd lager en schakel alle apparaten uit voordat u aansluitingen maakt om defecten
en/of schade aan luidsprekers of andere apparaten te voorkomen.
2. Druk op [ ] (stroomtoets) om het apparaat in te schakelen.
3. Druk op [ TUNER] om de stemmodus te selecteren.
4. Druk op [SEL], druk vervolgens op [ ] [ ] om de stemmodus te
kiezen (CHROMATIC, GUITAR of BASS).
5. Druk, indien nodig op [SEL], met [ ] en [ ] om instellingen voor Flat
tuning en/of de referentietoonhoogte te bepalen.
Als u de instelling bepaald hebt, druk dan een aantal keer op [SEL] tot het
knipperen stopt.
6. Speel een enkele noot op het instrument.
De meter en de stemgids tonen hoe ver de noot van de correcte toonhoogte ligt.
7. Stem het instrument.
Met de/het beoogde nootnaam/snaarnummer weergegeven, stem het instrument
zodat en op de stemgids gelijktijdig oplichten en de naald van de meter
naar 0 wijst (de centrale positie).
Als de Accu Pitch-functie is ingeschakeld, maakt het stemapparaat een piepend
geluid als de noot gestabiliseerd is op de juiste toonhoogte, waardoor u weet dat
de noot correct gestemd is.
De metronoom gebruiken
1. Druk op [ ] (stroomtoets) om het apparaat in te schakelen.
2. Druk op [ METRO] om de metronoommodus te selecteren.
Elke druk op [ METRO] schakelt de metronoom in of uit.
3. Druk zoals gewenst op [SEL] en gebruik [ ] en [ ] om instellingen te
bepalen voor de ritmestijl, beat en tempo.
U kunt in het gewenste metronoomtempo tikken met [TAP].
TU-88-instellingen
De referentietoonhoogte voor het stemmen wijzigen
1. Druk op [ TUNER] om de stemmodus te selecteren.
2. Druk driemaal op [SEL].
De referentietoonhoogte knippert.
3. Druk op [ ] of [ ] om de frequentie in te stellen.
4. Druk opnieuw op [SEL].
Dit voltooit de instellingen. De weergegeven referentietoonhoogte stopt met
knipperen en blijft branden.
Flat Tuning (Flat-functie)
1. Druk op [ TUNER] om de stemmodus te selecteren.
Druk tweemaal op [SEL].
2. Druk op [ ] of [ ] om het aantal bemollen (aantal lagere halve
tonen) in te stellen dat u wilt.
Als en afwisselend knipperen geeft dit normale stemmodus aan
(de Flat-functie is uitgeschakeld).
3. Druk tweemaal op [SEL].
Dit voltooit de instellingen. De weergegeven stopt met knipperen en blijft
branden.
De referentietoonhoogte weergeven
1. Druk op [ ] (geluidsknop) om de referentietoon te spelen.
2. Druk op [ ] of [ ] om de nootnaam of het snaarnummer aan te
geven waarop u wilt stemmen.
Het geluid van de nootnaam/het snaarnummer die/dat door het scherm wordt
weergegeven, wordt afgespeeld.
Als u de geluidsmodus gebruikt, kan stemmen niet met de ingebouwde
microfoon worden gedaan (de ingebouwde microfoon is uitgeschakeld).
3. Druk op [ ] (geluid) om de referentietoon te stoppen.
Handige functies
Vermijden dat de batterij leegloopt als u het apparaat vergeet
uit te schakelen (automatische uitschakelingsfunctie)
Als de TU-88 is ingeschakeld en door batterijen van stroom wordt voorzien, wordt
het apparaat automatisch uitgeschakeld als het ongeveer 30 minuten in de
volgende toestand blijft.
• zonder dat er een toets wordt ingedrukt en
• In de modus stemmodus zonder audio (inclusief invoer van de ingebouwde microfoon).
De automatische uitschakelingsfunctie deactiveren
U kunt de automatische uitschakelingsfunctie tijdelijk deactiveren als u de TU-88
inschakelt. Houd [ ] en [ ] ingedrukt en druk op [ ] (stroomknop) om het
apparaat in te schakelen.
"OF" wordt weergegeven en het apparaat wordt ingeschakeld met de
automatische uitschakelingsfunctie gedeactiveerd.
De automatische uitschakelingsfunctie zal ingeschakeld zijn als u de volgende keer
het apparaat op de gewone manier inschakelt.
Een toon gebruiken om aan te geven dat het stemmen
voltooid is (Accu-Pitch-functie)
Als de Accu-Pitch-functie is ingeschakeld, wordt een piepend geluid weergegeven
als de toonhoogte van het instrument dat u stemt, stabiliseert in een bereik van
drie cent boven of onder de correcte toonhoogte. Dit geluid geeft aan dat de
toonhoogte correct is.
De Accu-Pitch-functie in- en uitschakelen.
1. Houd [ TUNER] ingedrukt en druk op [ ] (Stroomtoets) om het
apparaat in te schakelen.
Als deze handeling wordt uitgevoerd, wordt de Accu-Pitch-functie in-of
uitgeschakeld. Als de Accu-Pitch-functie is ingeschakeld, verschijnt Accu-Pitch op
het scherm. Niets wordt weergegeven als de functie gedeactiveerd is.
Geheugenfunctie
Zodra een batterij is geïnstalleerd in de TU-88, kunnen de volgende instellingen in
het geheugen worden opgeslagen, waar ze worden bewaard, zelfs als het apparaat
niet is ingeschakeld.
Als de batterij verwijderd of leeg is, bent u mogelijk alle opgeslagen
gegevens in het geheugen kwijt.
De batterij vervangen
De stemgids knippert als de batterij leegloopt.
Vervang de batterij zo snel mogelijk.
* Als u stemt met het apparaat ondersteboven, plaats het dan
op een zachte doek of iets dergelijks om schade aan het
paneel te voorkomen.
1. Open het batterijvak (aan de onderkant
van het apparaat) door de klep naar
OPEN te schuiven.
2. Verwijder de oude batterij uit het
batterijvak.
3. Plaats een nieuwe 6F22 (9 V)-batterij.
* Zorg ervoor dat de “+” en “-”-aanduidingen van de batterijen juist zijn gericht.
4. Schuif de klep van het batterijvak terug op zijn plaats.

Accu Pitch-functie

of tweeëneenhalve toon lager). Bij de gewone
instellingen knipperen en afwisselend.
Flat-functie
Dit toont het verschil in toonhoogte van de aangegeven
nootnaam of snaarnummer.
Meter
De frequentie van de A4-toonhoogte ( de centrale A op een pianoklavier)
