Get the most out of your equipment by playing it at a safe

level – a level that lets the sound come through clearly

without annoying blaring or distortion and, most

importantly, without affecting your sensitive hearing. Sound

How to read this guide

• Thank you for buying this Pioneer DJ product.

This guide provides a brief description of the procedures up until

connecting the unit to your computer and outputting audio. For the

detailed procedures, refer to the Operating Instructions.

Be sure to read both this guide and the Operating Instructions. Both

documents include important information that you must understand

before using this product.

After reading the instructions, store them in a safe place for future

reference.

— For instructions on acquiring the Operating Instructions, see

“Acquiring the manual” (p.4).

• In this guide, names of screens and menus displayed on the unit and

on the computer screen, as well as names of buttons and terminals,

etc., are indicated with brackets. (e.g. [f] button, [Files] panel,

[MASTER OUT] terminal)

• Please note that the screens and specifications of the software

described in this guide as well as the external appearance and

specifications of the hardware are currently under development and

may differ from the final specifications.

• Please note that depending on the operating system version, web

browser settings, etc., operation may differ from the procedures

described in this guide.

• This guide mainly explains on the function of the unit as a hardware.

with Serato DJ.

Features

This unit is an all-in-one DJ controller designed specifically for Serato’s

DJ software Serato DJ Lite.

Performance interfaces, such as “BIG JOG” or “PERFORMANCE PADS”,

are arranged comfortably to control functions included in “Serato DJ

Lite”. Complicated settings are not necessary, and DJ play can be started

soon after connecting the unit with a USB cable to a PC/Mac with

“Serato DJ Lite” installed.

Serato DJ Lite is a DJ software application by Serato. DJ performances

are possible by connecting the computer on which this software is

installed to this unit.

• Operating System support assumes you are using the latest point

• Operation is not guaranteed on all computers, even if all the required

• Depending on the computer’s power-saving settings, etc., the CPU

and hard disk may not provide sufficient processing capabilities. For

notebook computers in particular, make sure the computer is in the

proper conditions to provide constant high performance (for example

by keeping the AC power connected) when using Serato DJ Lite.

• Use of the Internet requires a separate contract with a provider

offering Internet services and payment of provider fees.

• For the latest information on the required operating environment and

compatibility as well as to acquire the latest operating system, refer

unit

1 Connect your computer to the unit via a USB cable.

Make a direct connection with the supplied USB cable for optimum

performance. A USB hub cannot be used.

1 Access the Pioneer DJ site.

• To change the language of the screen, click the flag icon, or click the

GLOBAL icon on the bottom right of the screen and select a

language from the list.

2 Click [Support].

3 Click [Software & firmware updates].

4 Click [DDJ-SB3] in the [DJ CONTROLLER] category.

5 Click [Other].

6 Click [Download link] in [DDJ-SB3 SAMPLE TRACK].

The file of the sample track is downloaded.

Launching Serato DJ Lite

For Windows 7

From the Windows [Start] menu, click the [Serato DJ Lite] icon under

[All Programs] > [Serato] > [DJ Lite].

For Windows 8.1/10

From [Apps view], click the [Serato DJ Lite] icon.

For Mac

In Finder, open the [Applications] folder, then click the [Serato DJ Lite]

icon.

Files

Adding a track file to the Serato DJ

Lite library

The following describes the typical procedure for importing tracks.

1 Click the [Files] icon on the Serato DJ Lite software

screen to open the [Files] panel.

The contents of your computer or the peripheral connected to the

computer are displayed in the [Files] panel.

2 Click to select the track obtained from the tree view

in the [Files] panel.

3 Drag and drop the selected file to the [crates] panel

on the Serato DJ Lite software screen.

Loading a track into the deck

The following describes the procedure for loading tracks into deck [1] as

an example.

1 Select the crate created in “Adding a track file to the

Serato DJ Lite library” in the crates panel.

2 Select the track saved in “Obtaining a track for your

DJ performance” in the library on the computer screen.

3 Press the [LOAD] button of the left side deck.

The track is loaded into the deck.

Playing a track

The following describes the procedure for outputting the channel 1

sound as an example.

1 Set the positions of the controls, etc., as shown

below.

2 Press the [f] button to play the track.

3 Turn the [TRIM] control.

Adjust the [TRIM] control so that the channel level indicator’s orange

indicator lights at peak level.

4 Move the channel fader to the maximum level.

5 Turn the [MASTER LEVEL] control to adjust the audio

level of the speakers.

Adjust the audio level output from the [MASTER OUT] terminals to an

appropriate level.

6 Turn the [HEADPHONES LEVEL] control to adjust the

audio level of the headphones.

The [HEADPHONES CUE MASTER] select button must be set to ON to

monitor through the headphones.

It is recommended to set the control between the 9 and 10 o’clock

positions.

About the controls’ setting values

The setting values of the controls, etc., below are controlled individually

for the respective decks in the Serato DJ Lite software.

• TRIM control

• EQ (HI, MID, LOW) controls

• FILTER control

• Channel fader

• TEMPO slider

If the values controlled by Serato DJ Lite when the decks are switched

differ from the positions of this unit’s controls, faders, etc., the controls,

faders, etc., must be moved to the positions corresponding to the values

controlled by Serato DJ Lite before they will operate.

• The initial settings of decks 3 and 4 of Serato DJ Lite are the center

position for the [TRIM] control, [EQ (HI, MID, and LOW)] controls,

and [FILTER] control, ±0.0% for the [TEMPO] slider, and the

minimum (lowest) position for the channel fader.

Troubleshooting

• If you think that there is something wrong with this unit, check the

items in the “Troubleshooting” section on the Operating Instructions

of this unit, or access the Pioneer DJ site and check [FAQ] for the

[DDJ-SB3].

Sometimes the problem may lie in another component. Inspect the

other components and electrical appliances being used. If the

problem cannot be rectified, ask your nearest Pioneer authorized

service center or your dealer to carry out repair work.

• This unit may not operate properly due to static electricity or other

external influences. In this case, proper operation may be restored by

unplugging the USB cable, then plugging it back in.

1 Réglez les positions des commandes, etc., de la

2 Appuyez sur le bouton [f] pour lire le morceau.

3 Tournez la commande [TRIM].

Réglez la commande [TRIM] de sorte que l’indicateur orange de

l’indicateur de niveau du canal s’éclaire au niveau maximal.

4 Poussez le fader du canal au niveau maximal.

5 Tournez la commande [MASTER LEVEL] pour régler

le niveau sonore des enceintes.

Réglez le niveau sonore depuis les prises de sortie [MASTER OUT] au

niveau approprié.

6 Tournez la commande [HEADPHONES LEVEL] pour

régler le niveau sonore du casque.

Le bouton sélectionné [HEADPHONES CUE MASTER] doit être

positionné sur ON pour vérifier le son dans le casque.

Il est recommandé de positionner la commande entre 9 et 10 heures.

Le réglage des valeurs des commandes, etc., ci-dessous s’effectue de

manière séparée pour chacune des platines dans le logiciel Serato DJ

Lite.

Si les valeurs commandées par Serato DJ Lite lorsque les platines sont

commutées sont différentes des positions des commandes, faders, etc.,

de cet appareil, les commandes, les faders, etc., doivent être réglés dans

les positions correspondant aux valeurs commandées par Serato DJ Lite

avant leur exécution.

• Les réglages initiaux des platines 3 et 4 de Serato DJ Lite

correspondent à la position centrale pour la commande [TRIM], les

commandes [EQ (HI, MID et LOW)] et la commande [FILTER],

±0,0 % pour le curseur [TEMPO] et la position minimale (la plus

basse) pour le fader du canal.

Caratteristiche

L’unità è un controller per DJ all-in-one pensato appositamente per il

software per DJ di Serato, Serato DJ Lite.

Le interfacce per le prestazioni, come ad esempio “BIG JOG” o

“PERFORMANCE PADS”, sono predisposte per controllare

comodamente le funzioni incluse in “Serato DJ Lite”. Non sono

Nel pannello [Files] vengono visualizzati i contenuti del computer o della

periferica connessa.

2 Fare clic per selezionare la traccia ottenuta dalla

vista ad albero nel pannello [Files].

3 Trascinare il file selezionato nel pannello [crates]

sulla schermata del software Serato DJ Lite.

Viene creata una cassetta e le tracce vengono aggiunte al pannello della

libreria.

Il pulsante di selezione [HEADPHONES CUE MASTER] deve essere

impostato su ON per il monitoraggio attraverso le cuffie.

Si consiglia di impostare il controllo tra le posizioni ore 9 e 10.

Informazioni sui valori di impostazione

dei controlli

I valori di impostazione dei seguenti controlli ecc. sono controllati

singolarmente per i rispettivi deck nel software Serato DJ Lite.

• Controllo TRIM

• Controlli EQ (HI, MID, LOW)

• Controllo FILTER

• Fader canali

• Cursore TEMPO

Se, quando i deck vengono attivati, i valori controllati da Serato DJ Lite

differiscono dalle posizioni dei controlli, fader ecc. di questa unità, i

controlli, fader ecc. devono essere spostati sulle posizioni corrispondenti

ai valori controllati da Serato DJ Lite prima del funzionamento.

• Le impostazioni iniziali dei deck 3 e 4 di Serato DJ Lite si trovano

nella posizione centrale per il controllo [TRIM], i controlli [EQ (HI,

MID e LOW)] e il controllo [FILTER], ±0,0% per il cursore [TEMPO] e

la posizione minima (inferiore) per il fader canali.

In deze handleiding vindt u een korte beschrijving van de procedures

tot de aansluiting van het toestel op uw computer en het uitvoeren

van geluid. Zie de Handleiding voor de gedetailleerde procedures.

Lees zowel deze gids als de Handleiding. Beide documenten bevatten

belangrijke informatie die u moet begrijpen, alvorens dit product te

gebruiken.

Kenmerken

Dit toestel is een alles-in-een dj-controller die speciaal is ontworpen voor

Serato DJ Lite, de dj-software van Serato.

De interfaces voor optredens, zoals "BIG JOG" of "PERFORMANCE

PADS", zijn zo opgesteld dat de functies van "Serato DJ Lite" comfortabel

kunnen worden gebruikt. Er zijn geen ingewikkelde instellingen nodig en

u kunt beginnen te spelen zodra uw toestel via een USB-kabel is

aangesloten op een pc/Mac waarop "Serato DJ Lite" is geïnstalleerd.

niet als aan alle hier aangegeven eisen wat betreft de

gebruiksomgeving wordt voldaan.

Een trackbestand toevoegen aan

de Serato DJ Lite-bibliotheek

Hieronder volgt een beschrijving van de typische procedure voor het

importeren van tracks.

1 Klik op het pictogram [Files] op het scherm van de

Serato DJ Lite-software om het [Files]-paneel te

openen.

De inhoud van uw computer of van de op uw computer aangesloten

randapparatuur wordt weergegeven in het [Files]-paneel.

2 Klik om de track in de boomstructuur van het

[Files]-paneel te selecteren.

3 Sleep het geselecteerde bestand naar het [crates]-

paneel op het scherm van de Serato DJ Lite-software.

Er wordt een crate aangemaakt en de tracks worden toegevoegd in het

bibliotheekpaneel.

Een track naar het deck laden

Hieronder volgt een beschrijving van de procedure voor het laden van

tracks naar bijvoorbeeld deck [1].

1 Selecteer de crate die u heeft aangemaakt in "Een

trackbestand toevoegen aan de Serato DJ Lite-

bibliotheek" in het crates-paneel.

2 Selecteer de track die u heeft opgeslagen in "Een

track ophalen voor uw dj-optreden" in de bibliotheek

op het computerscherm.

3 Druk op de [LOAD]-knop op het deck links.

De track wordt naar het deck geladen.

Een track afspelen

Hieronder volgt een beschrijving van de procedure voor het afspelen van

het geluid van bijvoorbeeld kanaal 1.

kanaalniveau oplicht bij het piekniveau.

4 Zet de kanaalfader op het maximumniveau.

5 Draai aan de [MASTER LEVEL]-regelaar om het

geluidsniveau van de luidsprekers aan te passen.

Stel het geluidsniveau dat wordt geproduceerd via de [MASTER

OUT]-uitgangsaansluitingen in op een geschikt niveau.

6 Draai aan de [HEADPHONES LEVEL]-regelaar om het

geluidsniveau van de hoofdtelefoon aan te passen.

De selectieknop [HEADPHONES CUE MASTER] moet AAN staan om

mee te volgen via de hoofdtelefoon.

Het is aanbevolen om de regelaar tussen de posities 9 uur en 10 uur te

zetten.

Over de instelwaarden van de regelaars

De instelwaarden van de regelaars enz. hierna worden apart ingesteld

voor de respectieve decks in de Serato DJ Lite-software.

Als de via Serato DJ Lite ingestelde waarden bij het wisselen van de

decks verschillen van de posities van de regelaars, faders enz. van dit

toestel, dan moeten de regelaars, faders enz. naar de posities worden

gebracht die overeenstemmen met de via Serato DJ Lite ingestelde

waarden vooraleer ze kunnen worden bediend.

• Voor decks 3 en 4 van Serato DJ Lite staan de [TRIM]-regelaar, de

[EQ-regelaars (HI, MID en LOW)] en de [FILTER]-regelaar

oorspronkelijk in het midden, de [TEMPO]-schuifregelaar op ±0,0%

en de kanaalfader op de minimale (laagste) positie.

Verhelpen van storingen

• Als u denkt dat er iets mis is met dit toestel, controleer dan de items

in de "Probleemoplossing" van de Handleiding van dit toestel, of ga

naar de Pioneer DJ-site en bekijk [FAQ] voor de [DDJ-SB3].

Soms ligt het probleem bij een andere component. Inspecteer de

andere gebruikte componenten en elektronische apparaten. Indien

het probleem niet kan worden opgelost, contacteer dan uw

dichtstbijzijnde Pioneer bevoegd service center of uw verkoper om

reparatiewerkzaamheden uit te voeren.

• Dit toestel werkt mogelijk niet juist vanwege statische elektriciteit of

andere externe factoren. In dit geval kan de juiste werking worden

hersteld door de USB-kabel los te koppelen en vervolgens terug aan

te sluiten.

• As definições iniciais dos decks 3 e 4 do Serato DJ Lite são a posição

異常時の処置

下記のような異常が発生した場合、すぐに

USB ケーブルを本機から抜く。















設置

放熱をよくするため、他の機器、壁などから

間隔をとる。また、ラックなどに入れるとき

はすき間をあける。















使用環境

水が入ったり、ぬれたりする環境では使用し

ない。







表示された電源電圧以外の電圧で使用しな

い。



使用方法

花びん、植木鉢、コップ、化粧品、薬品や水

などの入った容器または小さな金属物を本機

の上に置かない。





本機の通風孔などに、金属類や燃えやすいも

のなどを差し込んだり、落としたりしない。







不安定な場所に置かない。









調理台や加湿器のそばといった油煙、湿気の

多い場所や、ほこりの多い場所に置かない。



他の機器と接続する際は、それぞれの機器の

電源を切る。









本機の上に重い物や外枠からはみ出るような

大きなものを置かない。





移動させる際は、USB ケーブルを本機から

抜き、外部の接続コードも外す。





温度が異常に高くなる場所に放置しない。







本機の上に火がついたろうそくなどの裸火を

置かない。



本機のカバーを外したり、改造したりしない。







コードを首に巻きつけない。



設置する際、壁から 5 cm 以上離して設置す

る。また、放熱をよくするために他の機器と

の間を少し離して設置する。ラックなどに入

れるときは、背面から 5 cm 以上、側面から

5 cm 以上のすき間をあける。





幼児の手の届くところに小さな部品を置かな

い。





注意

使用方法

音が歪んだ状態で長時間使わない。





本機に乗ったり、ぶら下がったりしない。





電源を入れる前や、接続を変更する前は音量

を最小にする。





ヘッドホン使用時は音量を上げ過ぎないよう

にする。





長期間使用しないときは USB ケーブルを本

機から抜く。



 

保守・点検

5 年に一度くらいは本体内部の掃除を販売店

に相談する。







お手入れの際は USB ケーブルを本機から抜

く。

〈無料修理規定〉

１ .取扱説明書、本体貼付ラベル等の注意にしたがった使用状態

で故障した場合には、お買い上げの販売店または弊社が無料

修理いたします。

２ .保証期間内に故障して無料修理をお受けになる場合には、お

買い上げの販売店にご依頼ください。その際には本書をご提

示ください。なお、離島及び離島に準ずる遠隔地への出張修

理を行った場合には、出張に要する実費を申し受けます。

３ .ご転居、ご贈答品等で本保証書に記入してあるお買い上げの

販売店に修理が依頼できない場合には、Pioneer DJ修理受付窓

口(取扱説明書をご参照)へご相談ください。

４ .保証期間内でも次の場合には有料修理になります。

(1) 使用上の誤りまたは不当な修理や改造による故障および損傷

(2) お買い上げ後の取付場所の移動、落下等による故障および損傷

(3) 火災、地震、水害、落雷その他の天災地変、公害、塩害、異常

電圧、水掛り等による故障および損傷

(4) 消耗品（各部ゴム、電池、ピックアップ、スピンドルモーター、

スライダーモーター等）の交換

(5) 本書の提示がない場合

(6) お買い上げの年月日、販売店が確認できない場合

(7) 本書のお買い上げの年月日、お客様名、販売店名を書き換え

た場合

(8) 故障の原因が本製品以外の他社製品にある場合

(9) 劣悪な設置条件（油煙、熱、塵、水、直射日光等）にて使用し

故障した場合

５ .本書は日本国内においてのみ有効です。

６ .本書は再発行いたしませんので紛失しないように大切に保管

してください。

７ .その他

(1) 故障その他による営業上の機会損失（逸失利益）は補償いた

しませんのでご了承ください。

(2) 高技術商品は引取り修理になる場合があります。

(3) 特殊なセッティング（配線の引回し、棚の設置等）、「取付業者

指定商品」の取付け取外しは専門の工事店にご依頼ください。
