CHARGING YOUR BRAVEN
1. Press the Power Button for 2-3 seconds to turn on your BRAVEN (405). Press the same button again for 2-3
seconds to turn your BRAVEN off.
2. Activate Bluetooth
®
on the phone or device you are pairing with (see your device’s instruction manual for
information on activating its Bluetooth
®
settings).
3. Press and hold the Play / Pause Button on your BRAVEN until you hear the BRAVEN pairing sound. LEDs and
backlit buttons will flash during pairing process.
4. Go to your phone or device’s Bluetooth
®
settings and select “BRAVEN 405” from the list.
5. If asked for a passcode enter “0000”
Your BRAVEN will remember the last 8 devices it has paired with.
NOTE: If your BRAVEN does not have an active Bluetooth
®
connection and is left on, it will shut itself off after 30
minutes. To restart your BRAVEN you will need to press and hold the Power Button for 2-3 seconds.
• Before using your BRAVEN for the first time, charge the unit until all LEDs are off, indicating a full charge
(typically 2 hours).
• To charge your BRAVEN, plug the included USB-to-Micro-USB cable into a wall power adapter (not included)
or into a powered USB port on a computer. Plug the Micro-USB connector end of the cable into the BRAVEN
charging port.
• 10 Minutes before BRAVEN 405 runs out of power, an audio alert will sound. Just before complete power drain,
the audio alert will sound once more and the speaker will shut down.

Your BRAVEN is designed to charge USB devices that draw from 0.3A - 1A (most cell phones & mp3 players –
tablets and other 2A devices cannot be charged by your 405) using the full-sized USB port located behind the I/O
port cover. To use external charging:
1. Turn your BRAVEN on.
2. Plug the USB power cable that came with your phone, mp3 player, or other mobile device into the USB port on
your BRAVEN.
3. Plug the other end of the cable into your mobile device, and it will immediately begin charging.
Press the Play / Pause Button on your BRAVEN to answer the call over the speaker. Press the Play / Pause Button
again to end the call.

WATERPROOF FEATURES
The BRAVEN 405 is IPX7 waterproof, and is designed to withstand rainfall, waterjets, water splashing, and dunk in
the pool.
IMPORTANT To ensure your BRAVEN 405 speaker is prepared for use in a wet environment, remove all cable
connections and tightly close the I/O port cover which guards the charging port and AUX input on the side of the
speaker. If this cover is not securely fastened to the speaker, BRAVEN 405 will not be waterproof.

WARNINGS, CAUTION
& LEGAL INFORMATION
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do
not expose the BRAVEN to rain or moisture while
charging. The BRAVEN should not be exposed
to dripping or splashing, and objects filled with
liquids, such as vases, should not be placed on
or near it while being charged or charging other
devices. As with any electronic products, use care
not to spill liquids into any part of the product.
Liquids can cause a failure and/or a fire hazard.
The power supply must be used indoors only. Make
no modifications to the product or accessories.
Unauthorized alterations may compromise safety,
regulatory compliance, and system performance,
and will void the warranty. Do not place any flame
sources, such as lighted candles, on or near the
BRAVEN. The BRAVEN contains small parts that
may be a choking hazard and is not suitable for
children under age 3. Do not continue charging the
battery if it does not reach full charge within the
specified charging time. Overcharging may cause
the battery to become hot, rupture, or ignite. If
you see any heat deformation or leakage, properly
dispose of the battery. Do not attempt to charge
the battery in temperatures outside the range of
32°-104°F (0°-40°C). If the battery begins to leak,
do not allow the liquid to come in contact with
your skin or eyes. If contact has been made, wash
the affected area with plenty of water and seek
medical attention immediately. Do not expose the
product or battery to excessive heat, including
direct sunlight or fire and storage or use inside
cars in hot weather, where it can be exposed to
temperatures in excess of 115°F (60°C). Doing
so may cause the battery and power supply
to generate heat, rupture, or ignite. Using the
product in this manner also may result in a loss
of performance and a shortened life expectancy.
Extended exposure to direct sunlight may damage
the external appearance and material qualities.
Do not step on, throw, or drop batteries or the
power supply or device, or expose them to a strong
shock. Do not pierce, crush, dent, or deform the
batteries or power supply in any way. If either
becomes deformed, properly dispose of it. Do
not short-circuit batteries. Do not attempt to
service the BRAVEN yourself. Opening or removing
covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or
other hazards and will void the manufacturer’s
warranty. To prevent risk of fire or electric shock,
avoid overloading wall outlets, extension cords, or
integral convenience receptacles. Your Bluetooth
device (mobile phone, music player, tablet, laptop,
etc.) must support the A2DP Bluetooth profile in
order to work wirelessly with your new BRAVEN
speaker. The A2DP profile is supported by most
recent mobile products with built-in Bluetooth
capability. Please refer to your device’s user
manual for details and instruction regarding
the Bluetooth profiles it supports. This device
complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation
is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This
device may not cause harmful interference, and (2)
this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired
operation.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found
to comply with the limits for a Class B digital
device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference in a

El BRAVEN está diseñado para cargar dispositivos USB que requieren de 0.3 A - 1 A de energía (la mayoría de
los teléfonos celulares, reproductores de MP3, tabletas y otros dispositivos que requieren de 2 A no pueden ser
cargados con el 405) a través del puerto USB de tamaño completo ubicado detrás de la cubierta del puerto I/O.
Para utilizar la carga externa:
1. Encienda el BRAVEN.
2. Enchufe el cable de alimentación USB que viene con su teléfono, reproductor de MP3 u otro dispositivo móvil en
el puerto USB del BRAVEN.
3. Conecte el otro extremo del cable en su dispositivo portátil; éste comenzará a cargarse de inmediato.
Pulse el botón de Reproducir/Pausar en el BRAVEN para contestar la llamada a través del altavoz. Presione el
botón de Reproducir/Pausar nuevamente para terminar la llamada.
Coloque el BRAVEN 405 sobre las patas de caucho para disfrutar de una experiencia de música a 360°.

El BRAVEN 405 es impermeable (grado IPX7) y está diseñado para soportar lluvia, salpicaduras y chorros de agua, e
inmersión en piscinas.
IMPORTANTE Para asegurar que el altavoz BRAVEN 405 esté listo para usarse en un ambiente mojado, retire todas
las conexiones de cables y cierre ajustadamente la cubierta de I/O que resguarda el puerto de carga y la entrada
AUX en la parte lateral del altavoz. Si la cubierta no queda bien ajustada al altavoz, el BRAVEN 405 no será

No siga cargando la batería si ésta no alcanza la
plena carga en el tiempo de carga especificado.
Cargarla en exceso puede provocar que la
batería se caliente, se rompa o se incendie. Si ve
cualquier deformación debida al calor o alguna
fuga, deshágase debidamente de la batería. No
intente cargar la batería a temperaturas fuera del
intervalo de entre 32 y 104 °F (0 a 40 °C). Si la
batería empieza a escurrirse, no permita que el
líquido entre en contacto con su piel u ojos. Si
ha habido contacto, lave inmediatamente el área
afectada con agua abundante y busque asistencia
médica. No exponga el producto o la batería a un
calor excesivo, incluyendo la luz solar directa o el
fuego, ni al almacenamiento o utilización dentro
de automóviles en climas cálidos, donde pueda
estar expuesto a temperaturas por encima de

• Avant d’utiliser votre appareil BRAVEN la première fois, chargez-le jusqu’à ce que tous les voyants à DEL
s’éteignent, ce qui indique une pleine charge (habituellement 2 heures).
• Pour charger votre appareil BRAVEN, branchez le câble USB-vers-Micro-USB dans un adaptateur d’alimentation
mural (non fourni) ou dans un port USB alimenté de votre ordinateur. Branchez l’extrémité connecteur Micro-USB
du câble dans le port de chargement de l’appareil BRAVEN.
• Dix (10) minutes avant que la pile de l’appareil BRAVEN 405 soit épuisée, une alerte sonore se fait entendre.

Votre appareil BRAVEN est conçu pour charger des appareils USB qui débitent de 0,3 A à 1 A (la plupart des
téléphones cellulaires ainsi que les lecteurs mp3; les tablettes et autres appareils de 2 A ne peuvent pas être
chargés par votre BRAVEN 405) en utilisant le port USB pleine grandeur situé à l’arrière du rabat du port E/S. Pour
utiliser le chargement externe:
1. Mettez votre appareil BRAVEN sous tension.
2. Branchez le câble d’alimentation USB fourni avec votre téléphone, lecteur mp3 ou autre appareil mobile dans le
port USB de votre appareil BRAVEN.
3. Branchez l’autre extrémité du câble dans votre appareil mobile et il commencera immédiatement à se charger.
Appuyez sur le bouton Lecture / Pause de votre appareil BRAVEN pour répondre à un appel à l’aide du haut-parleur.
Appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton Lecture / Pause pour terminer l’appel.
Posez l’appareil BRAVEN 405 sur ses pieds en caoutchouc pour écouter le son dans un rayon de 360°.

L’appareil BRAVEN 405 est étanche IPX7 et est conçu pour résister à la pluie, aux jets d’eau, aux éclaboussures et
à l’immersion dans une piscine.
IMPORTANT Pour vous assurer que votre haut-parleur BRAVEN 405 est préparé pour une utilisation en milieu
humide, retirez toutes les connexions de câble et fermez hermétiquement le rabat du port I/O qui protège le port
de charge ainsi que l’entrée AUX sur le côté du haut-parleur. Si ce rabat n’est pas fermé hermétiquement sur le
haut-parleur, le BRAVEN 405 ne sera pas étanche.

Afin de réduire le risque d’incendie ou de choc
électrique, ne pas exposer l’enceinte BRAVEN à la
pluie ni à l’humidité pendant sa recharge. Aucun
liquide ne doit s’écouler sur l’enceinte BRAVEN
ni l’éclabousser, et aucun objet rempli de liquide,
tel un vase, ne doit être placé sur l’enceinte ni
à proximité pendant la recharge de l’enceinte
BRAVEN ou pendant que l’enceinte recharge
d’autres dispositifs. Comme pour tout autre produit
électronique, faire attention de ne pas déverser
de liquide sur une partie quelconque du produit.
Les liquides peuvent entraîner une panne et/ou

ans. Cesser de recharger la batterie si sa pleine
charge n’est pas atteinte à l’intérieur du délai de
recharge indiqué. En cas de surcharge, la batterie
peut devenir brûlante, se fendre ou s’enflammer.
Si des fuites ou des déformations causées par la
chaleur apparaissent, éliminer adéquatement la
batterie. Ne pas essayer de recharger la batterie
si la température est inférieure à 0° ou supérieure
à 40 °C. Si la batterie fuit, éviter que le liquide
entre en contact avec la peau ou les yeux. En
cas de contact, laver abondamment la zone
touchée avec de l’eau et consulter un médecin
immédiatement. Ne pas exposer le produit ou la
batterie à une chaleur excessive; entre autres,

ni au feu et ne pas les ranger ni les utiliser dans
une auto par temps très chaud (où la température
peut atteindre plus de 60 °C). Si ces précautions
ne sont pas respectées, la batterie et la source
d’alimentation peuvent devenir brûlantes,
se fendre ou s’enflammer. De plus, le fait
d’exposer le produit à ces conditions peut nuire
à sa performance et réduire la durée de vie de
la batterie. Une exposition prolongée aux rayons
directs du soleil peut endommager l’apparence

musique, l’enceinte BRAVEN peut vibrer et ainsi se
déplacer, puis tomber du rebord. Votre dispositif
mobile Bluetooth (téléphone portable, lecteur de
musique, tablette, ordinateur portable, etc.) doit
prendre en charge le profil Bluetooth A2DP afin de
pouvoir fonctionner avec votre nouvelle enceinte
BRAVEN. Le profil A2DP est pris en charge par
la plupart des produits mobiles récents dotés
d’une fonctionnalité Bluetooth intégrée. Veuillez
consulter le mode d’emploi de votre dispositif pour
de plus amples détails et instructions au sujet des
profils Bluetooth qu’il prend en charge.

Il BRAVEN è progettato per ricaricare i dispositivi USB con un assorbimento da 0,3 A a 1 A (la maggior parte dei

la presa USB di dimensioni regolari dietro il coperchio della presa I/O. Per utilizzare la ricarica esterna:
1. Accendere il BRAVEN.

Il BRAVEN 405 rientra nella categoria di resistenza all’acqua IPX7 ed è progettato per resistere a pioggia, getti
d’acqua, schizzi d’acqua e immersioni in piscina.
IMPORTANTE per accertarsi che l’altoparlante BRAVEN 405 sia pronto ad essere esposto all’acqua, staccare tutti
i cavi collegati e chiudere saldamente il coperchio della presa I/O che protegge la presa di ricarica e l’ingresso
AUX sul retro dell’altoparlante. Se il coperchio non è saldamente fissato all’altoparlante, il BRAVEN 405 non è
impermeabile.

HINWEIS: Wenn Ihr BRAVEN keine aktive Bluetooth

Verbindung besitzt und nicht ausgeschaltet wird, schaltet er
sich nach 30 Minuten selbsttätig aus. Sie können den BRAVEN wieder einschalten, indem Sie die Betriebstaste 2-3
Sekunden lang gedrückt halten.
• Vor dem ersten Einsatz sollten Sie den BRAVEN laden, bis sich die Ladeanzeige vollständig abschaltet (ca. 2
Stunden). Dadurch wird angezeigt, dass er vollständig geladen ist.
• Zum Laden schließen Sie den BRAVEN mit dem enthaltenen USB-/Micro-USB-Kabel an ein USB-Ladegerät (nicht
enthalten) oder an einen stromführenden USB-Anschluss an Ihrem Computer an. Schließen Sie den Micro-USB-
Stecker an den Ladeanschluss des BRAVEN an.
• 10 Minuten bevor der Akku des BRAVEN 405 leer ist, wird ein Signalton ausgegeben. Unmittelbar, bevor der
Akku vollständig leer ist, wird eine weiterer Signalton ausgegeben, und der Lautsprecher schaltet sich ab.

Ihr BRAVEN dient zum Laden von USB-Geräten mit einem Bedarf von 0,3 bis 1 A über die USB-Standardschnittstelle
hinter der E/A-Anschlussabdeckung. (Dazu gehören die meisten Mobiltelefone und MP3-Player; Tablets und andere
Geräte mit 2 A können nicht über den 405 geladen werden.) Externes Laden:
1. Schalten Sie Ihren BRAVEN ein.
2. Schließen Sie das USB-Ladekabel, das mit Ihrem Telefon, MP3-Player oder anderem Mobilgerät geliefert wurde,
an den USB-Anschluss des BRAVEN an.
3. Stecken Sie das andere Kabelende in das Mobilgerät. Der Ladevorgang wird unmittelbar gestartet.
Drücken Sie am BRAVEN die Wiedergabe-/Pausetaste gedrückt, um das Gespräch über den Lautsprecher
anzunehmen. Um das Gespräch zu beenden, drücken Sie abermals die Wiedergabe-/Pausetaste.
Wenn Sie den BRAVEN 405 auf die Gummifüße legen, genießen Sie 360°-Klang.

Der BRAVEN 405 ist wasserfest gemäß IPX7, ist also konstruktionsbedingt vor Regenwasser, Strahlwasser,
Spitzwasser und Eintauchen geschützt.
WICHTIG Damit Ihr BRAVEN 405 Lautsprecher für feuchte Umgebungen gerüstet ist, müssen Sie alle Kabel
herausziehen und den Ladeanschluss sowie den AUX-Eingang mit der E/A-Anschlussabdeckung an der Seite des
Lautsprechers fest verschließen. Wenn die Abdeckung am Lautsprecher nicht richtig verschlossen ist, ist der
BRAVEN 405 nicht wasserfest.

vorschriftsgemäß. Versuchen Sie nicht, den Akku

CARREGAR O SEU BRAVEN
1. Prima o botão de ligar/desligar durante 2-3 segundos para ligar o seu BRAVEN (405). Prima novamente o mesmo
botão durante 2-3 segundos para desligar o seu BRAVEN.
2. Ative o Bluetooth

do telefone ou dispositivo que pretende emparelhar (consulte o manual de instruções do seu
dispositivo para obter informações sobre a ativação das respetivas definições de Bluetooth

3. Prima sem soltar o botão Reproduzir / Pausar no seu BRAVEN até ouvir o som de emparelhamento BRAVEN. Os
LEDs e os botões retroiluminados piscam durante o processo de emparelhamento.
4. GVá às definições Bluetooth

do seu telefone ou dispositivo e selecione “BRAVEN 405” na lista.
5. Caso lhe seja solicitado um código-passe, introduza “0000”
O seu BRAVEN memoriza os últimos 8 dispositivos com os quais emparelhou.
NOTA: Se o seu BRAVEN não tiver uma ligação Bluetooth
®
ativa e permanecer ligado, este desliga-se
automaticamente após 30 minutos. Para reiniciar o seu BRAVEN é necessário premir sem soltar o botão de ligar/
desligar durante 2-3 segundos.
• Antes de utilizar o seu BRAVEN pela primeira vez, carregue a unidade até que todos LEDs se apaguem, indicando
uma carga completa (tipicamente 2 horas).
• Para carregar o seu BRAVEN, ligue o cabo USB para Micro USB incluído a um adaptador de tomada de parede
(não incluído) ou a qualquer porta USB de alimentação de um computador. Ligue a extremidade do conector
Micro USB do cabo na porta de carregamento da BRAVEN.
• É emitido um aviso sonoro 10 minutos antes de o BRAVEN 405 ficar sem energia. Imediatamente antes de
esgotar a energia, o aviso sonoro é novamente emitido e o altifalante desliga-se.

YO seu BRAVEN foi concebido para carregar dispositivos USB que utilizam uma corrente de 0,3 A - 1 A (a maioria
dos telemóveis, leitores de mp3, tablets e outros dispositivos de 2 A não pode ser carregada através do seu
405), utilizando a porta USB de tamanho normal localizada atrás da tampa das portas de E/S. Para utilizar o
carregamento externo:
1. Ligue o seu BRAVEN.

O BRAVEN 405 tem certificação IPX7 de resistência à água e foi concebido para resistir à chuva, jatos de água,
salpicos de água e a mergulhos na piscina.
IMPORTANTE Para assegurar que o seu altifalante BRAVEN 405 está preparado para a utilização em ambientes
molhados, remova todas as ligações de cabos e feche bem a tampa das portas de E/S que protege a porta de

O altifalante BRAVEN contém peças pequenas que

If you see any heat deformation or leakage, properly dispose of the batter y. Do not attempt to charge the batter y in temperatures outside the range of 32°-104°F (0°-40°C).
