APPLICATION
The M 88 is a dynamic moving-coil microphone for the
highe demands convincing with flexible application
options. It can be used for miking vocals or inruments
in the udio or on age. Its directional propeies are
close to the theoretically possible values reducing the
risk of acouic feedback to an absolute minimum. Due
to the balanced frequency response, the mo diverse
sound sources are exactly reproduced, and a signal is
created that can be processed easily and at will.
When miking the kick drum, the WS 59 wind shield
should be used.

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
Connection
� The M 88 is equipped with a 3-pin XLR connector.
You can connect it to any microphone input using a
suitable microphone cable.
� Caution: Carelessly laid cables are a trip hazard.
People can be injured and the microphone
can be damaged.
Operation
� The M 88 features a hypercardioid polar pattern and
a high-gain-before feedback. In order to achieve
maximum gain-before-feedback, the monitor box
should be at an angle of approx. 120° to the
longitudinal axis of the microphone.
� In order to avoid popping noise, you should hold the
microphone at an angle below your mouth so that
you are singing or speaking slightly above the micro-
phone.
� For miking a bass drum, use the microphone with the
WS 59 pop shield.
� The M 88 is supplied with the MA-CL 25 microphone
clamp for tripods with 3/8" thread. For tripods with a
5/8" thread, you can unscrew the threaded inse.
� Caution: A tripod with an insecure and can fall
over and damage a microphone mounted
on it. Make sure the tripod ands able.
MAINTENANCE
� Use a so cloth moiened with water to clean the
microphone sha and grille.
� Make sure that no water enters the microphone.
� Do not use cleaning agents containing solvents.
DISPOSAL

inructions or on the packaging means that

at the end of their life cycle.
� Always dispose of used equipment in
accordance with applicable regulations.

ANWENDUNG
Das M 88 i ein dynamisches Tauchspulenmikrofon
für höche Ansprüche, das durch flexible Anwendungs-
optionen überzeugt. Es kann zur Abnahme von Gesang
oder Inrumenten im Studio und auf der Bühne einge-
setzt werden. Seine Richteigenschaen liegen an-
nähernd bei den theoretisch überhaupt möglichen
Ween und dies verringe die Gefahr akuischer
Rückkopplung auf ein absolutes Minimum. Durch den
ausgeglichenen Frequenzgang werden die unterschied-
lichen Klangquellen exakt wiedergegeben und es
enteht ein Signal, welches einfach und nach Belieben
weiterverarbeitet werden kann.
Bei Abnahme der Kick Drum sollte der Windschutz WS 59
verwendet werden.

INSTALLATION UND INBETRIEBNAHME
Anschluss
� Das M 88 i mit einem 3-poligen XLR-Stecker ausge-
attet. Sie können es an jeden Mikrofoneingang mit
einem geeigneten Mikrofonkabel anschließen.
� Vorsicht: Unachtsam verlegte Kabel ellen eine
Stolpergefahr dar. Personen können
dadurch verletzt und das Mikrofon
beschädigt werden.
Inbetriebnahme
� Das M 88 hat eine Hypernierencharakteriik und i
sehr rückkopplungsarm. Um maximale Rückkopp-
lungssicherheit zu erreichen, sollten Sie das Mikrofon
so positionieren, dass die Monitorboxen seitlich von
hinten (Winkel ca. 120°) auf das Mikrofon rahlen.
� Um Poppgeräusche zu vermeiden, sollten Sie das
Mikrofon schräg unterhalb des Mundes halten, so
dass Sie leicht über das Mikrofon singen bzw.
sprechen.
� Zur Abnahme einer Bass-Drum setzen Sie das
Mikrofon mit dem Poppschutz WS 59 ein.
� Zum Lieferumfang des M 88 gehö die Mikrofon-
klammer MA-CL 25 für Stative mit 3/8"-Gewinde. Für
Stative mit 5/8"-Gewinde können Sie den Gewinde-
einsatz herausschrauben.
� Achtung: Ein Stativ mit unsicherem Stand kann
umfallen und ein darauf montiees
Mikrofon beschädigen. Achten Sie auf
einen abilen Stand.
PFLEGE
� Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen des Mikrofonschaes
und Korbes ein mit Wasser befeuchtetes, weiches
Tuch.
� Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Mikrofon
eindringt.
� Verwenden Sie keine lösemittelhaltigen Reiniger.
ENTSORGUNG
� Dieses Symbol auf dem Produkt, in der
Bedienungsanleitung oder auf der Verpackung
bedeutet, dass die elektrischen und elektroni-
schen Geräte am Ende ihrer Lebensdauer
gesonde vom Hausmüll entsorgt werden

UTILISATION
Le M 88 e un microphone dynamique à bobine mobile
pour les exigences les plus élevées, qui convainc par la
flexibilité de ses options d’utilisation. Il peut être utilisé
pour la prise de son de voix ou d’inruments en udio
et sur scène. Ses caractériiques de directivité sont
proches des valeurs théoriques possibles, ce qui réduit
le risque de rétroaction acouique à un minimum
absolu.
Sa réponse en fréquence équilibrée permet de
reproduire avec précision les sources sonores les plus
diverses et d’obtenir un signal qui peut être traité
facilement et à volonté.
Lors de la dépose de la grosse caisse, il convient
d’utiliser la protection anti-vent WS 59..

INSTALLATION ET MISE EN SERVICE
Branchement
� Le M 88 e équipé d’une fiche XLR à 3 pôles. Vous
pouvez le connecter à n’impoe quelle entrée de
microphone avec un câble de microphone
approprié.
� Prudence : Les câbles mal posés peuvent
provoquer un risque de
trébuchement. Des personnes
peuvent être blessées et le
microphone peut être endommagé.
Mise en service
� Le M 88 a une caractériique hypercardioïde et
présente un très faible taux de rétroaction. Pour
obtenir une protection maximale contre la
rétroaction, il convient de positionner le microphone
de manière à ce que les enceintes de monitoring
soient placées latéralement à l’arrière (angle
d‘environ 120°) sur le microphone.
� Pour éviter les bruits parasites, il e conseillé de tenir
le microphone en biais sous la bouche, de manière à
chanter ou à parler légèrement au-dessus du micro-
phone.
� Pour la prise de son d’une grosse caisse, utilisez le
microphone avec la protection anti-pop WS 59.
� Le M 88 e livré avec la pince de microphone
MA-CL 25 pour les trépieds à filetage 3/8". Pour les
trépieds avec un filetage de 5/8", vous pouvez
dévisser l’inse fileté.
� Attention : Un trépied inable peut se
renverser et endommager le
microphone qui e inallé dessus.
Veillez à la abilité du pied.
ENTRETIEN
� Pour nettoyer le manche et la grille du microphone,
utilisez un chion doux humidifié d‘eau.
� Veillez à ce qu‘aucun liquide ne s‘infiltre pas dans le
microphone.
� N’utilisez pas de produits de nettoyage contenant
des solvants.

APLICACIÓN
El M 88 es un micrófono dinámico de bobina de
inmersión para las más altas exigencias, que convence
por las opciones de aplicación flexibles. Se puede
utilizar para la recepción de voces o inrumentos
en el eudio y en el escenario. Sus propiedades de
enderezamiento se acercan a los valores teóricamente
posibles y eo reduce el riesgo de retroalimentación
acúica a un mínimo absoluto. Gracias a la respuea
de frecuencia equilibrada, las fuentes de sonido más
diferentes se reproducen con precisión y se genera una
señal que se puede procesar fácilmente y a voluntad.
Si se retira el Kick Drum, debería utilizarse la protección
contra el viento WS 59..

INSTALACIÓN Y PUESTA EN SERVICIO
Conexión
� El M 88 PR dispone de un conector XLR de 3 polos,
apto para cualquier entrada de micrófono con un
cable de micrófono adecuado
� Atención: La inalación descuidada de los
cables representa siempre riesgo de
tropiezo, con el consiguiente peligro
de accidente y de daños en el
micrófono.
Puea en marcha
� El M 88 tiene una caracteríica hipercardioide y
baja retroalimentación. Para conseguir la máxima
seguridad de retroalimentación, coloque el micró-
fono de modo que los monitores irradien hacia el
micrófono desde el lateral trasero (ángulo de
aproximadamente 120°).
� Para evitar ruidos pop, soenga el micrófono
inclinado por debajo de la boca y cante o hable
suavemente.
� Para reducir el sonido de bombo, utilice el micrófono
con el protector pop WS 59.
� El M 88 incluye el sopoe para micrófono MA-CL 25
para trípodes con rosca de 3/8". Para trípodes con
rosca de 5/8" puede desenroscar el inseo roscado.
� Atención: Si el trípode no tiene suficiente
eabilidad, puede caerse y dañar el
micrófono montado en él. Procure
que eé en posición eable.
MANTENIMIENTO

マイキングや楽器マイキングに、スタジオでも舞台でもご使用い
ただけます。その指向性特性はほぼ理論的に可能な値で実現さ

接线
� M 88 麦克风配有一个 3 针 XLR 插头。您可使用适配的话
筒线将其连接到任何麦克风端口。
� 注意： 因铺设线缆疏忽而导致的绊倒危险。

调试
� M 88 具备超心形方向特性，叠音回声率极低。为最大程度
确保低回声率，放置麦克风时应令监听盒侧面处于麦克风后
方影响辐射范围内（角度约为 120°）。
� 为避免出现爆破声，应该将麦克风斜放在嘴部下方位置，
以便您使用其演唱或演讲。
� 若要拆去低音鼓，请在使用麦克风时加装 WS 59 防
破音器。
