Use cutting or grinding discs with the following

speciﬁcation:

from the store where you purchased the tool. Use

good quality accessories with a well-known brand

name. Refer to Working Hints in this manual or to the

accessory packaging for more details. Store person-

EXTENSION CORDS

WARNING: Use proper extension cords. Make

sure your extension cord is in good condition and is

a 2-wire extension cord which matching receptacle

which will accept the machine’s plug. When using an

extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to

carry the current of the machine. An undersized cord

will cause a drop in line voltage, resulting in loss

of power and overheating. If in doubt, use the next

heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge number, the

heavier the cord.

1. WORK AREA

- KEEP YOUR WORK AREA CLEAN AND WELL LIT. Clut-

tered benches and dark areas invite accidents.

- DO NOT OPERATE POWER TOOLS IN EXPLOSIVE ATMO-

SPHERES, SUCH AS IN THE PRESENCE OF FLAMMABLE

LIQUIDS, GASES OR DUSTS. Power tools create sparks

which may ignite the dust or fumes.

- KEEP BY-STANDERS, CHILDREN, AND VISITORS AWAY

WHILE OPERATING A POWER TOOL. Distractions can

cause you to lose control.

2. ELECTRICAL SAFETY

- DOUBLE INSULATED TOOLS ARE EQUIPPED WITH A

POLARIZED PLUG (ONE BLADE IS WIDER THAN THE

OTHER.) THIS PLUG WILL FIT IN A POLARIZED OUTLET

ONLY ONE WAY. IF THE PLUG DOES NOT FIT FULLY IN

THE OUTLET, REVERSE THE PLUG. IF IT STILL DOES NOT

FIT, CONTACT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO INSTALL A

POLARIZED OUTLET. DO NOT CHANGE THE PLUG IN ANY

WAY. Double Insulation eliminates the need for the

three wire grounded power cord and grounded

power supply system. Before plugging in the tool,

be certain the outlet voltage supplied is within the

voltage marked on the nameplate. Do not use “AC

only” rated tools with a DC power supply.

- AVOID BODY CONTACT WITH GROUNDED SURFACES

SUCH AS PIPES, RADIATORS, RANGES AND REFRIGERA-

TORS. There is an increased risk of electric shock

if your body is grounded. If operating the power

tool in damp locations is unavoidable, a Ground

Fault Circuit Interrupter must be used to supply the

power to your tool. Electrician’s rubber gloves and

footwear will further enhance your personal safety.

- DON’T EXPOSE POWER TOOLS TO RAIN OR WET CONDI-

TIONS. Water entering a power tool will increase the

risk of electric shock.

- DO NOT ABUSE THE CORD. NEVER USE THE CORD TO

CARRY THE TOOLS OR PULL THE PLUG FROM AN OUTLET.

Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or mov-

ing parts. Replace damaged cords immediately.

Damaged cords increase the risk of electric shock.

- WHEN OPERATING A POWER TOOL OUTSIDE, USE AN

OUTDOOR EXTENSION CORD MARKED “W-A” OR “W”.

These cords are rated for outdoor use and reduce

the risk of electric shock. Refer to the “Recom-

mended sizes of Extension Cords” in the Accessory

section of this manual.

- GROUNDED TOOLS MUST BE PLUGGED INTO AN OUTLET

PROPERLY INSTALLED AND GROUNDED IN ACCORDANCE

WITH ALL CODES AND ORDINANCES. NEVER REMOVE

THE GROUNDING PRONG OR MODIFY THE PLUG IN ANY

WAY. Do not use any adapter plugs. Check with

a qualiﬁed electrician if you are in doubt as to

whether the outlet is properly grounded. If the tool

should electrically malfunction or break down,

grounding provides a low resistance path to carry

electricity away from the user.

3. PERSONAL SAFETY

- STAY ALERT. WATCH WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND USE

COMMON SENSE WHEN OPERATING A POWER TOOL.

Do not use tool while tired or under the inﬂuence

of drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inat-

tention while operating power tools may result in

serious personal injury.

- DRESS PROPERLY. DO NOT WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING OR

JEWELRY. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing,

and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,

jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and

grease. Rubber gloves and non-skid footwear are

recommended when working outdoors.

- AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING. BE SURE SWITCH IS

“OFF” BEFORE PLUGGING IN. Carrying tools with your

ﬁnger on the switch or plugging in tools that have

the switch “ON” invites accidents. Do not use a tool

if the power switch does not turn it “ON” and “OFF”.

- REMOVE ALL ADJUSTING KEYS AND WRENCHES. Make

a habit of checking that adjusting keys, wrenches,

etc. are removed from the tool before turning it

“ON”.

- DO NOT OVERREACH. KEEP PROPER FOOTING AND

BALANCE AT ALL TIMES. Proper footing and balance

enable better control of the tool in unexpected

situations.

- USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT. ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTEC-

TION. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat,

or hearing protection may be used for appropriate

conditions.

- KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM ALL CUTTING EDGES AND

MOVING PARTS.

- IF DEVICES ARE PROVIDED FOR THE CONNECTION OF

DUST EXTRACTION AND COLLECTION FACILITIES, EN-

SURE THESE ARE CONNECTED AND PROPERLY USED. Use

of these devices can reduce dust-related hazards.

4. TOOL USE AND CARE

- USE CLAMPS OR OTHER PRACTICAL WAYS TO

SECURE AND SUPPORT THE WORK-PIECE TO A STABLE

PLATFORM. Holding the work by hand or against your

body is unstable and may lead to loss of control.

- DO NOT FORCE TOOL. USE THE CORRECT TOOL FOR

YOUR APPLICATION. The correct tool will do the job

better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.

Excessive force only causes operator fatigue,

increased wear and reduced control.

- DO NOT USE TOOL IF SWITCH DOES NOT TURN IT “ON”

OR “OFF”. A tool that cannot be controlled with the

switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

- DISCONNECT THE TOOL FROM THE POWER SOURCE

BEFORE MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENTS, CHANGING AC-

CESSORIES, OR STORING THE TOOL. Such preventative

safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool

accidentally.

- STORE IDLE TOOLS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND

OTHER UNTRAINED PERSONS. Tools are dangerous in

the hands of untrained users.

- MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE. KEEP CUTTING TOOLS

SHARP AND CLEAN. Properly maintained tools, with

sharp cutting edges, are less likely to bind and

easier to control.

- CHECK FOR MISALIGNMENT OR BINDING OF MOVING

PARTS, BREAKAGE OF PARTS, AND ANY OTHER CONDI-

TION THAT MAY AFFECT THE TOOL’S OPERATION. If dam-

aged, have the tool serviced before using. Many

accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.

- USE ONLY ACCESSORIES THAT ARE RECOMMENDED BY

THE MANUFACTURER FOR YOUR MODEL. Accessories

that may be suitable for one tool may create a risk

of injury when used on another tool.

- USE THE RIGHT TOOL. Do not force the tool or attach-

ment to do a job for which it was not designed.

5. SERVICE

- TOOL SERVICE MUST BE PERFORMED ONLY BY QUALI-

FIED REPAIR PERSONNEL. Service or maintenance

performed by unqualiﬁed personnel could result in

a risk of injury.

- WHEN SERVICING A TOOL, USE ONLY IDENTICAL

REPLACEMENT PARTS. Follow instructions in the

Maintenance section of this manual. Use of

unauthorized parts or failure to follow Maintenance

Instructions may create a risk of electric shock or

injury.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES - FOR

WARNING! FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES MAY

RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY.

1. HOLD TOOL BY INSULATED GRIPPING SURFACES

WHEN PERFORMING AN OPERATION WHERE THE

CUTTING TOOLS MAY CONTACT HIDDEN WIRING OR

ITS OWN CORD. Contact with a “live” wire will make

exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and shock

the operator.

2. MAKE SURE THE POWER SWITCH IS NOT “ON” BEFORE

YOU PLUG THE TOOL IN. Accidental start-ups could

cause injury.

3. REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE

CARRYING OUT ANY ADJUSTMENT, SERVICING OR

MAINTENANCE.

4. ENSURE YOUR POWER OUTLET SUPPLY VOLTAGE IS

THE SAME AS YOUR TOOL ‘S RATING PLATE VOLTAGE.

5. YOUR TOOL IS DOUBLE INSULATED FOR ADDITIONAL

PROTECTION AGAINST POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL INSU-

LATION FAILURE WITHIN THE TOOL.

6. AFTER LONG WORKING PERIODS EXTERNAL METAL

PARTS AND ACCESSORIES COULD BE HOT.

7. ONLY USE YOUR ANGLE GRINDER FOR DRY GRINDING/

CUTTING.

8. ENSURE ALL ELECTRIC CABLES CAN NOT CONTACT

YOUR ANGLE GRINDER’S ROTATING DISC.

9. NEVER STOP A DISC OR ACCESSORY BY APPLYING

SIDE LOAD.

10. NEVER CUT WITH GRINDING DISC OR GRIND WITH A

CUTTING DISC.

11. CHECK THAT SPEED MARKED ON THE WHEEL IS EQUAL

TO OR GREATER THAN THE RATED SPEED OF THE

GRINDER.

12. ENSURE THAT THE WHEEL DIMENSIONS ARE COMPAT-

IBLE WITH THE GRINDER.

13. ABRASIVE WHEELS SHALL BE STORED AND HANDLED

WITH CARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTUR-

ER‘S INSTRUCTION.

14. INSPECT THE GRINDING WHEEL BEFORE USE, DO NOT

USE CHIPPED, CRACKED OR OTHERWISE DEFECTIVE

PRODUCTS.

15. ENSURE THAT BLOTTERS ARE USED WHEN THEY ARE

PROVIDED WITH THE BONDED ABRASIVE PRODUCT

AND WHEN THEY ARE REQUIRED.

16. ENSURE THAT THE ABRASIVE PRODUCT IS CORRECTLY

MOUNTED AND TIGHTENED BEFORE USE AND RUN THE

TOOL AT NO-LOAD FOR 30 SECONDS IN A SAFE POSI-

TION. STOP IMMEDIATELY IF THERE IS CONSIDERABLE

VIBRATION OR IF OTHER DEFECTS ARE DETECTED.

If this condition occurs, check the machine to

determine the cause.

17. IN CASE OF CUP-WHEELS, CONES OR PLUGS WITH

THREADED HOLES THAT ARE INTENDED TO BE MOUNT-

ED ON THE MACHINE SPINDLE, CRITICAL DIMENSIONS

AND OTHER DATA SHALL BE GIVEN IN ORDER TO PRE-

VENT THE SPINDLE END FROM TOUCHING THE BOTTOM

OF THE HOLE OF THE ABRASIVE PRODUCT.

18. IF A GUARD IS SUPPLIED WITH THE TOOL, NEVER USE

THE TOOL WITHOUT SUCH A GUARD.

19. DO NOT USE SEPARATE REDUCING BUSHINGS OR

ADAPTERS TO ADAPT LARGE HOLE ABRASIVE WHEELS.

20. FOR TOOLS INTENDED TO BE FITTED WITH A THREADED

HOLE WHEEL, ENSURE THAT THE THREAD IN THE WHEEL

IS LONG ENOUGH TO ACCEPT THE SPINDLE LENGTH.

21. CHECK THAT THE WORK PIECE IS PROPERLY SUP-

PORTED.

22. ENSURE THAT SPARKS RESULTING FROM USE DO

NOT CREATE A HAZARD E.G. DO NOT HIT PERSONS, OR

IGNITE FLAMMABLE SUBSTANCES.

23. ENSURE THAT VENTILATION OPENING ARE KEPT CLEAR

WHEN WORKING IN DUSTY CONDITIONS. If it should

become necessary to clear dust, ﬁrst disconnect

the tool from the power supply, use non metallic

objects, and void damaging internal parts.

24. ALWAYS USE EYE AND EAR PROTECTION. Other

personal protective equipment such as dust

mask, gloves, helmet and apron should be worn

when necessary. If in doubt, wear the protective

equipment.

25. DO NOT CUT, GRIND OR SAND MATERIAL CONTAINING

ASBESTOS.

26. IF THE SUPPLY CORD IS DAMAGED, IT MUST BE

REPLACED BY A SERVICE AGENT OR A SIMILARLY

QUALIFIED PERSON IN ORDER TO AVOID HAZARDS.

27. THE WHEEL CONTINUES TO ROTATE AFTER THE TOOL IS

SWITCHED OFF.

28. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. Refer to them fre-

quently and use them to instruct others who may

use this tool. If someone borrows this tool, make

sure they have these instructions.

SANDING, SAWING, GRINDING, DRILLING AND OTHER

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES CONTAINS CHEMICALS

KNOWN TO CAUSE CANCER, BIRTH DEFECTS OR OTHER

chemicals are:

• Lead from lead-based paint

• Crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other

masonry products

• Arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated

lumber

Your risk to these exposures varies, depending on

how often you do this type of work. To reduce your

exposure to these chemicals:

• Work in a well ventilated area

• Work with approved safety equipment, such as

those dust masks that are speciﬁcally designed to

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: Before using the tool, read the

instruction book carefully.

1. ON/OFF SWITCH

Slide the switch forward to start your tool and lock

your tool for continuous working. To switch off your

tool, depress the rear of the switch (See A).

2. HAND GRIP AREAS

Always hold your angle grinder ﬁrmly with both

hands when operating (See B).

3. ADJUSTABLE FRONT HANDLE

You have the option of two working positions to

provide the safest and most comfortable control of

your angle grinder (See C). The handle is screwed

clockwise into either hole on the sides of the gear

case.

4. SPINDLE LOCK BUTTON

Must only be used when changing a disc. Never press

when the disc is rotating!

5. DISC FITTING

The inner ﬂange (6) is located over the spindle (7)

and on the spindle ﬂat. Locate the disc onto the

inner ﬂange and then the outer ﬂange (5) is screwed

onto the spindle (See E). Press the spindle lock

button (4) and rotate the spindle until it locks, then

ﬁrmly tighten the outer ﬂange using your special

spanner to clamp the disc (See D). The pins on your

special spanner locate in the holes on the outer

ﬂange. Check the disc rotates freely and is securely

clamped. Make a no load test run for 30 seconds to

check disc vibration and disc run out. To remove a

disc, reverse these instructions.

6. ADJUSTABLE OUTER FLANGE CLAMPING

The outer ﬂange (5) should be adjusted to suit

different disc thickness. For thinner cutting or

diamond discs the raised part of the outer ﬂange is

ﬁtted facing away from the disc (See F.1). For thicker

grinding discs the raised part of the outer ﬂange is

ﬁtted facing the disc to provide improved support

for the disc hole (See F.2). Always ensure your disc is

securely clamped.

7. GUARD ADJUSTMENT

To move the guard you must release the guard lock

bolt (8) using the other end of the special spanner

(See G). The guard can then be rotated to provide

maximum protection against sparks and debris.

Finally, tighten the guard bolt (8).

8. REMOVING THE GUARD

Only to be removed for use with sanding, ﬂap disc

and wire cup brush accessories only. Never remove

your guard for any other working conditions. Remove

the disc, both ﬂanges, guard bolt, screws (9) x 3 and

guard. Keep all parts in a safe place.

9. FITTING SANDING ACCESSORIES OR WIRE CUP BRUSH

Check the accessory speciﬁcation for rated speed,

spindle thread and other dimensions are correct for

your angle grinder. Follow the ﬁtting instructions

with your new accessory.

WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR ANGLE

GRINDER

a. If your power tool becomes too hot, run no load for

2-3 minutes to cool the motor.

b. Never start your angle grinder with the disc/ac-

cessory in contact with the workpiece.

c. Always start at no load to achieve maximum speed

then start working.

d. Do not force the disc to work faster, reducing the

Disc’s moving speed means longer working time.

e. Always work with a 10-20 angle between disc and

workpiece when grinding. Larger angles will cut

ridges into the workpiece and affect the surface

ﬁnish. Move the angle grinder across and back and

forth over the workpiece.

f. When using a cutting disc never change the

cutting angle otherwise you will stall the disc

and angle grinder motor or break the disc. When

cutting, only cut in the opposite direction to the

disc rotation. If you cut in the same direction as

the disc rotation the disc may push itself out of the

cut slot.

g. When cutting very hard material best results can

be achieved with a diamond disc. When using a

diamond disc it will become very hot. If this hap-

pens you will see a full ring of sparks around the

rotating disc. Stop cutting and allow to cool at no

load speed for 2-3 minutes.

h. Always ensure the workpiece is ﬁrmly held or

clamped to prevent movement.

MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE

Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer

performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and

changing accessories. Inspect tool cords periodi-

cally and if damaged, have repaired by authorized

service facility.

Your power tool requires no additional lubrication or

maintenance. There are no user serviceable parts

in your power tool. Never use water or chemical

cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a

dry cloth. Always store your power tool in a dry place.

Keep the motor ventilation slots clean. Keep all

working controls free of dust. If you see some sparks

ﬂashing in the ventilation slots, this is normal and

will not damage your power tool.

WARRANTY

LIMITED 30-DAY EXCHANGE POLICY

During the ﬁrst 30 days after date of purchase, you

may exchange a tool which does not work properly

due to defects in materials or workmanship by

returning the power tool to the retailer where it was

purchased. To receive a replacement power tool, you

must present a dated proof of purchase and return

all original equipment packaged with the original

product. The replacement power tool will be covered

by the limited warranty for the balance of the two

year period from the date of the original purchase.

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY

The manufacturer warrants that, for a period of 2

years from the date of purchase, this product shall

be free of defects in materials and workmanship. We

will repair or replace, at our option, this tool during

the warranty period, provided that the tool is sent

postage prepaid to an approved service center with

all original equipment and a dated proof of purchase.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser

at retail and is not transferable. This warranty does

not apply to accessories or batteries.

This warranty does NOT cover malfunction, failure or

defects due to:

- abnormal use, abuse, neglect, accidents, alteration

or repairs by other than approved service centers

- commercial or rental use.

The manufacturer makes no warranties, representa-

tions or promises as to the quality or performance of

its power tools other than those speciﬁcally stated in

this warranty.

When you send the tool for warranty service, you

must also include a dated proof of purchase.

ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS

Any implied warranty granted under state law,

including warranties of merchantability or ﬁtness

for a particular purpose, are limited to two years

from the date of purchase. The manufacturer is not

responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or conse-

quential damages. Some states and provinces do not

allow limitations on how long an implied warranty

lasts and/or do not allow the exclusion or limitation

of incidental damages, so the above limitations and

exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives

you speciﬁc legal rights, and you may also have other

rights which vary from state to state or province to

province.

CABLES DE EXTENSIÓN

ADVERTENCIA: Utilice cables de extensión apro-

piados. Asegúrese de que el cable de extensión esté

en buenas condiciones y enchúfelo en un tomacorri-

ente de 2 patas. Cuando utilice un cable de extensión,

asegúrese de emplear uno que tenga la capacidad

suﬁciente como para manejar la corriente de la

máquina. Un cable de menor capacidad causará una

caída en la tensión de la línea eléctrica que dará

como resultado pérdida de potencia y recalenta-

miento. En caso de duda, utilice el siguiente calibre

más grueso. Cuanto más pequeño sea el número de

calibre, más grueso será el cable.

2. SEGURIDAD ELÉCTRICA

- LAS HERRAMIENTAS CON DOBLE AISLAMIENTO ESTÁN

ES MÁS ANCHA QUE LA OTRA). ESTE ENCHUFE ENTRARÁ

EN UN TOMACORRIENTE POLARIZADO SOLAMENTE DE

POLARIZADO. NO HAGA NINGÚN TIPO DE CAMBIO EN EL

ENCHUFE. El doble aislamiento elimina la necesidad

del sistema de cable de tres hilos conectado a

tierra y el tomacorriente conectado a tierra. Antes

de enchufar la herramienta, asegúrese de que la

tensión suministrada por el tomacorriente se en-

cuentre dentro del margen de tensión especiﬁcada

en la placa del fabricante. No utilice herramientas

marcadas “CA solamente” (“AC only”) con una

fuente de energía de CC (DC).

- EVITE EL CONTACTO DEL CUERPO CON LAS SUPERFI-

en lugares húmedos es inevitable, se debe usar un

interruptor de circuito por fallas a tierra (GFCI) para

suministrar energía a la herramienta. Guantes de

goma y calzado para electricista aumentarán más

su seguridad personal.

- NO EXPONGA LAS HERRAMIENTAS ELÉCTRICAS A LA

LLUVIA NI A LOS AMBIENTES HÚMEDOS. La entrada

de agua en una herramienta eléctrica aumenta el

riesgo de que se produzcan descargas eléctricas.

- NO ABUSE DEL CABLE. Nunca use el cable para trans-

portar las herramientas ni para sacar el enchufe

de un tomacorriente. Mantenga el cable alejado del

calor, el aceite, los bordes aﬁlados o las piezas mó-

viles. Cambie los cables dañados inmediatamente.

Los cables dañados aumentan el riesgo de que se

produzcan descargas eléctricas.

- AL UTILIZAR UNA HERRAMIENTA ELÉCTRICA A LA

HOLGADA NI JOYAS. RECÓJASE EL CABELLO LARGO.

MANTENGA SU CABELLO, ROPA Y GUANTES ALEJADOS DE

LAS PIEZAS MÓVILES. La ropa holgada, las joyas o el

pelo largo pueden quedar atrapados en las piezas

móviles. Mantenga los mangos secos, limpios y

libres de aceite y grasa. Se recomiendan guantes

- EVITE EL ARRANQUE ACCIDENTAL. ASEGÚRESE DE

QUE EL INTERRUPTOR ESTÉ EN LA POSICIÓN “OFF”

(APAGADO) ANTES DE ENCHUFAR LA HERRAMIENTA. El

llevar las herramientas con el dedo en el interrup-

tor o el enchufar herramientas que tengan el inter-

ruptor en la posición “ON” (encendido) invita a que

se produzcan accidentes. No utilice la herramienta

si tiene el interruptor dañado y éste no enciende ni

apaga la herramienta correctamente.

- RETIRE TODAS LAS LLAVES Y CALIBRADORES. Hágase

el hábito de veriﬁcar que todas las llaves, calibra-

dores, etc. hayan sido removidos de la herramienta

antes de operarla.

- NO INTENTE ALCANZAR DEMASIADO LEJOS. MANTENGA

UN APOYO DE LOS PIES Y UN EQUILIBRIO ADECUADOS EN

TODO MOMENTO. El apoyo de los pies y el equilibrio

adecuados permiten un mejor control de la her-

ramienta en situaciones inesperadas.

- UTILICE EQUIPO DE SEGURIDAD. USE SIEMPRE

PROTECCIÓN OCULAR. Se debe utilizar una máscara

antipolvo, zapatos de seguridad antideslizantes,

casco o protección auditiva según lo requieran las

condiciones.

- MANTENGA LAS MANOS RETIRADAS DE BORDES

CORTANTES Y PARTES EN MOVIMIENTO.

- SI SE PROPORCIONAN DISPOSITIVOS PARA LA EX-

TRACCIÓN Y RECOLECCIÓN DE POLVO, ASEGÚRESE QUE

ESTOS ESTÉN CONECTADOS Y UTILIZADOS CORRECTA-

MENTE. El uso de estos dispositivos puede reducir

peligros relacionados con el polvo.

4. USO Y CUIDADO DE LA HERRAMIENTA

- UTILICE ABRAZADERAS U OTRO MODO PRÁCTICO DE

ASEGURAR Y APOYAR EL MATERIAL DE TRABAJO SOBRE

UNA PLATAFORMA ESTABLE. Sostener el material de

trabajo en la mano o contra su cuerpo es inestable

y puede conducir a la pérdida de control.

- NO FUERCE LA HERRAMIENTA. EMPLEE LA HERRA-

MIENTA CORRECTA PARA LA APLICACIÓN QUE DESEA.

La herramienta correcta hará el trabajo mejor y

con más seguridad a la capacidad nominal para la

que está diseñada. Forzándola solamente causará

fatiga al operario, mayor desgaste y menor control.

- NO UTILICE LA HERRAMIENTA SI EL INTERRUPTOR NO

LA ENCIENDE O APAGA. Toda herramienta que no se

pueda controlar con el interruptor es peligrosa y

debe ser reparada.

- DESCONECTE EL ENCHUFE DE LA FUENTE DE ALIMENT-

ACIÓN ANTES DE HACER CUALQUIER AJUSTE, CAMBIAR

ACCESORIOS O GUARDAR LA HERRAMIENTA. Estas me-

didas de seguridad preventivas reducen el riesgo

de encender la herramienta accidentalmente.

- GUARDE LAS HERRAMIENTAS QUE NO ESTÉ USANDO

FUERA DEL ALCANCE DE LOS NIÑOS Y OTRAS PERSONAS

NO CAPACITADAS. Las herramientas son peligrosas

en las manos de los usuarios no capacitados.

- MANTENGA LAS HERRAMIENTAS CON CUIDADO.

CONSERVE LAS HERRAMIENTAS DE CORTE AFILADAS Y

LIMPIAS. Las herramientas mantenidas adecuada-

mente, con bordes de corte aﬁlados, tienen menos

probabilidades de atascarse y son más fáciles

de controlar. Toda alteración o modiﬁcación

constituye un uso incorrecto y puede tener como

resultado una situación peligrosa.

- COMPRUEBE LA DESALINEACIÓN O EL ATASCO DE LAS

PIEZAS MÓVILES, LA RUPTURA DE PIEZAS Y CUALQUIER

OTRA SITUACIÓN QUE PUEDA AFECTAR EL FUNCIONA-

MIENTO DE LAS HERRAMIENTAS. SI LA HERRAMIENTA

ESTÁ DAÑADA, HÁGALA ARREGLAR ANTES DE USARLA.

Muchos accidentes son causados por herramien-

tas mantenidas deﬁcientemente. Establezca un

programa de mantenimiento periódico para la

herramienta.

5. REPARACIÓN

- LA REPARACIÓN DE UNA HERRAMIENTA DEBE SER

REALIZADA ÚNICAMENTE POR PERSONAL COMPETENTE.

La reparación o mantenimiento realizado por

personal no competente podría ocasionar peligro

de que se produzcan lesiones.

NOTA: Antes de usar la herramienta, lea

1. INTERRUPTOR DE MARCHA/PARADA

Antes de poner en marcha la herramienta, asegúrese

de que la llave se retire, los tornillos y los volantes

apretados. Asegúrese de que el interruptor esté en

posición ‘‘PARO’’ antes deconectar su máquina.

La puesta en marcha se efectua por una sencilla pre-

sión en el interruptor, para detener la máquina, aﬂoje

el interruptor. Para un trabajo en continuo, aprete el

interruptor al frente (Ver A).

2. EMPUÑDURA

Siempre sostenga su amoladora angular ﬁrme-

mente con ambas manos cuando se encuentre en

funcionamiento (Ver B).

3. MANIJA AJUSTABLE

Para más seguridad y comodidad, su amoladora

angular tiene 2 posiciones de empuñadura.

Atornille la empuñadura en el sentido de las agujas

del reloj en uno de los aterrajados previstos por una

y otra parte del cárter de cabeza (Ver C).

4. BOTÓN DE BLOQUEO DEL ÁRBOL

Este botón permite inmovilizar el árbol cuando

cambie la muela.

No apriete nunca el botón de bloqueo del árbol du-

rante el funcionamiento o para detener la rotación.

5. INSTALACIÓN DE LA MUELA

Desconecte la herramienta.

La brida de arrastre (6) está situada en el árbol (7) y

arrastrada por los plato (Ver D).

Coloque la muela contra la brida de arrastre después

instale la brida de cierre (5) en el aterrajado del árbol

(Ver E). Apriete el botón de bloqueo (4) y haga girar el

árbol hasta inmovilización. Apriete la brida de cierre

con ayuda de la llave de uña.

Aﬂoje el botón de bloqueo y compruebe que la muela

se instale correctamente y gire libremente.

Haga girar sin carga durante 30 segundos en una

posición segura, detenga la máquina inmediata-

mente si tiene una vibración importante o otros

defectos.

Si tal es el caso, compruebe la máquina para determi-

nar el origen del defecto.

Para retirar el disco, proceder en sentido inverso.

6. BRIDA DE CIERRE

La brida de cierre (5) debe instalarse con el ﬁn de sat-

isfacer diferentes espesores de muela. Para muelas

ﬁnas o discos diamantes, el gran diámetro de la brida

se coloca contra la muela o el disco (Ver F.1).

Para las muelas espesas, el gran diámetro está en el

exterior, el pequeño diámetro soporta la muela (Ver

F.2). Siempre asegúrese de que la muela se apriete

correctamente.

7. AJUSTE DE LA GUARDA PORTECTORA

La guarda protectora puede ajustarse destornillando

el tornillo (8). Para eso, utilice la llave incluida (Ver

G). La guarda puede entonces rotarse para proveer

una máxima protección contra chispas y esquirlas.

Después el ajuste, vuelva a atornillar el tornillo (8)

después de haber comprobado que la guarda protec-

tora toque el cárter.

8. DESMONTAJE DE LA GUARDA PORTECTORA

La guarda puede retirarse excepcionalmente para

la instalación de discos de lijado de cualquier tipo

(axiales y radiales). Para quitarla, primero retire la

muela y las bridas. Luego abra la palanca y gire la

guarda para alinear las muescas de la guarda con

las aberturas del cárter, luego retire la guarda. Para

reinstalarla, repita este procedimiento en sentido

inverso.

9. INSTALACIÓN DE LOS ACCESORIOS DE LIJADO O

ESCOBILLAS

Compruebe que las especiﬁcaciones y en particular

la velocidad del accesorio es compatible con la

máquina. Instale y utilice el accesorio de acuerdo

con las instrucciones del fabricante.

a. Si su herramienta eléctrica se calienta de-

masiado, hágala funcionar sin carga durante 2-3

minutos para enfriar el motor.

b. Nunca encienda su aﬁlador angular con el disco/

accesorio en contacto con la pieza de trabajo.

c. Comience siempre sin carga para alcanzar la

máxima velocidad y luego comience a trabajar.

d. No fuerce el disco para trabajar más rápido; si

reduce la velocidad de trabajo del disco, el trabajo

le llevará más tiempo.

e. Al aﬁlar, trabaje siempre con un ángulo de 10-20

grados entre el disco y la pieza de trabajo. Ángulos

más grandes cortarán cantos en la pieza de

trabajo y afectan el acabado superﬁcial. Desplace

el aﬁlador angular a lo largo de la pieza, una y otra

vez.

f. Cuando utilice un disco de corte, nunca cambie

el ángulo de corte, ya que así atascará el disco o

el motor del aﬁlador, o romperá el disco. Cuando

efectúe cortes, hágalos sólo en dirección opuesta

a la rotación del disco. Si corta en la misma direc-

ción de rotación del disco, éste puede proyectarse

fuera de la ranura de corte.

g. Cuando corte materiales muy duros, puede lograr

mejores resultados con un disco de diamante. Cu-

ando emplee un disco de diamante, se recalentará

mucho. Si esto sucede, verá un anillo de chispas

alrededor del disco en movimiento. Suspenda

el corte y deje que se enfríe usándolo sin carga

durante 2-3 minutos.

h. Asegúrese siempre de sostener ﬁrmemente la

pieza de trabajo para prevenir el movimiento.

MANTENGA LAS HERRAMIENTAS

CON CUIDADO

Conserve las herramientas aﬁladas y limpias para

que funcionen mejor y con más seguridad. Siga las

instrucciones para lubricar y cambiar los acceso-

rios. Inspeccione periódicamente los cables de las

herramientas y si están dañados hágalos reparar por

un centro de servicio autorizado.

Su herramienta no requiere lubricación ni manten-

imiento adicional. No posee piezas en su interior

que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario. Nunca

emplee agua o productos químicos para limpiar su

herramienta. Use simplemente un paño seco. Guarde

siempre su herramienta en un lugar seco. Mantenga

limpias las ranuras de ventilación del motor. La

observación de chispas que destellan bajo las

ranuras de ventilación, indica operación normal que

no dañará su herramienta.

GARANTÍA LIMITADA DE REEMPLAZO POR 30 DÍAS

Durante los primeros 30 días luego de la fecha de

compra, podrá reemplazar una herramienta que no

funcione correctamente debido a defectos de mate-

rial o fabricación devolviéndola a la tienda donde

la haya comprado. Para recibir una herramienta

de reemplazo, deberá presentar un comprobante

de compra fechado y devolver todo el material de

empaque original junto con el producto.

La herramienta reemplazada seguíra cubierta por

una garantía limitada basada en el balance de el

período de dos años desde la fecha original de la

CORDONS DE RALLONGE

AVERTISSEMENT: Utiliser les bons cordons de

rallonge. S’assurer que le cordon de rallonge est en

bon état, qu’il comporte trois ﬁls, une ﬁche à trois

broches et une prise à trois cavités pouvant recevoir

la ﬁche de la machine. Lorsqu’un cordon de rallonge

est utilisé, s’assurer que celui-ci soit d’un calibre

qui convient au courant utilisé par la machine. Un

cordon de calibre insufﬁsant entraînera une perte de

tension d’où une perte de puissance et la surchauffe.

S’il y a un doute, utiliser un cordon d’un calibre

supérieur. Plus le chiffre est petit, plus le ﬁl est gros.

jamais la ﬁche de quelque façon que ce soit, par

exemple en enlevant la broche de mise à la terre.

N’utilisez pas d’adaptateur de ﬁche. Si vous n’êtes

pas certain que la prise de courant est correcte-

ment mise à la terre, adressez-vous à un électricien

4. UTILISATION ET ENTRETIEN DE L’OUTIL

- IMMOBILISEZ LE MATÉRIAU TRAVAILLÉ SUR UNE

SURFACE STABLE AU MOYEN DE SERRE-JOINTS OU DE

TOUTE AUTRE FAÇON ADÉQUATE. Le fait de tenir la

pièce avec la main ou contre votre corps n’offre pas

une stabilité sufﬁsante et peut entraîner une perte

de contrôle de l’outil.

- NE FORCEZ PAS L’OUTIL. UTILISEZ L’OUTIL APPROPRIÉ

À LA TÂCHE. L’outil approprié fonctionne mieux et de

façon plus sécuritaire. Respectez aussi la vitesse

de travail qui lui est propre. Un usage excessif, en

plus de fatiguer l’utilisateur, augmentera l’usure de

l’outil et rendra son maniement plus difﬁcile.

- N’UTILISEZ PAS UN OUTIL SI L’INTERRUPTEUR NE LE

MET PAS EN MARCHE OU NE PEUT L’ARRÊTER. Un outil

qui ne peut être contrôlé par l’interrupteur est

dangereux et doit être réparé.

- DÉBRANCHEZ LA FICHE DE L’OUTIL DE SA PRISE

D’ALIMENTATION AVANT D’EFFECTUER UN RÉGLAGE, DE

CHANGER D’ACCESSOIRE OU DE RANGER L’OUTIL. De

telles mesures préventives de sécurité réduisent

le risque de démarrage accidentel de l’outil.

- RANGEZ LES OUTILS HORS DE LA PORTÉE DES ENFANTS

INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION

REMARQUE: Avant d’utiliser cet outil, as-

surez-vous de lire attentivement le manuel

d’utilisation.

1. INTERRUPTEUR MARCHE/ARRÊT

Avant de mettre l’outil en marche, assurez-vous que

la clé a été retirée, les vis et les volants serrés.

Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur est en position «

Arrêt » avant de brancher votre machine.

La mise en route s’effectue par une simple pres-

sion sur l’interrupteur, pour l’arrêter relâchez

l’interrupteur. Pour un travail en continu, poussez

l’interrupteur vers l’avant (Voir A).

2. POIGNÉE

Tenez toujours fermement la machine avec les deux

mains (Voir B).

3. POIGNEE AVANT ORIENTABLE

Pour plus de sécurité et de confort, votre meuleuse

d’angle propose 2 positions pour mettre en place la

poignée.

Vissez la poignée dans le sens des aiguilles d’une

montre dans un des ﬁletages prévus de part et

d’autre du carter de tête (Voir C).

4. BOUTON DE BLOCAGE DE L’ARBRE

Ce bouton permet d’immobiliser l’arbre lors du

changement de meule.

Ne pressez jamais le bouton de blocage d’arbre

pendant le fonctionnement de la machine ou pour

interrompre la rotation.

5. MONTAGE DE LA MEULE

Débranchez la prise de courant.

Le ﬂasque d’entraînement (6) est monté sur l’arbre (7)

et entraîné par les plat (Voir D) .

Placez la meule contre le ﬂasque d’entraînement

puis montez le ﬂasque de serrage (5) sur le ﬁletage

M14 de l’arbre (Voir E). Pressez le bouton de blocage

(4) et faîtes tourner l’arbre jusqu’à immobilisation.

Serrez le ﬂasque de serrage à l’aide de la clé à ergots .

Relâchez le bouton de blocage et vériﬁez le bon

montage et la libre rotation de la meule.

Faîtes tourner à vide 30 secondes dans une position

sûre, arrêtez la machine immédiatement s’il y a une

vibration importante ou si d’autres défauts sont

détectés.

Si tel est le cas, vériﬁez la machine pour déterminer

l’origine du défaut.

Pour enlever le disque, procédez en sens inverse.

6. FLASQUE DE SERRAGE

Le ﬂasque de serrage (5) doit être monté aﬁn de

satisfaire différentes épaisseurs de meule. Pour des

meules minces ou des disques diamantés le grand

diamètre du ﬂasque est placé contre la meule ou le

disque. (Voir F.1)

Pour les meules épaisses le grand diamètre est à

l’extérieur, le petit diamètre supportant la meule

(Voir F.2). Assurez-vous toujours du bon serrage de

la meule.

7. RÉGLAGE DU PROTECTEUR

Le protecteur peut être ajusté en desserrant la vis (8)

Pour cela utilisez la clé fournie (Voir G). Il peut alors

tourner aﬁn de protéger au mieux l’utilisateur des

étincelles et particules. Après réglage, revissez la vis

(8) après avoir vériﬁé que le protecteur plaque bien

contre le carter.

8. DÉMONTAGE DU PROTECTEUR

Le protecteur peut être exceptionnellement retiré

pour le montage de disques à poncer de tout type

(axiaux et radiaux).

Pour cela, démontez la meule et les ﬂasques, ouvrez

le levier (8), puis tournez le protecteur aﬁn d’aligner

les crans du protecteur avec les ouvertures du carter

et sortez le protecteur.

Remontez en sens inverse.

9. MONTAGE DES ACCESSOIRES DE PONÇAGE ET DES

BROSSES

Vériﬁez que les spéciﬁcations et en particulier la

vitesse de l’accessoire est compatible avec la ma-

chine. Montez et utilisez l’accessoire conformément

aux instructions de son fabricant.

CONSEILS D‘UTILISATION POUR

VOTRE MEULEUSE ANGULAIRE

a. Si votre meuleuse angulaire devient trop chaude,

faites la fonctionner à vide pendant 2 à 3 minutes

aﬁn de refroidir le moteur.

b. Ne démarrez jamais votre meuleuse angulaire

avec son disque/accessoire en contact avec

l’ouvrage.

c. Attendez toujours que la machine ait atteint sa

vitesse maximale avant de commencer le travail.

d. N’appliquez pas de force sur le disque pour

accélérer votre travail. Sa réduction de vitesse

résultante aurait un effet contraire.

e. Ravaillez toujours en gardant un angle de 10 à

20° entre le disque et l’ouvrage. De plus grands

angles peuvent faire des stries sur la pièce à

travailler et affecter la ﬁnition de la surface.

f. Lors de l’utilisation d’un disque de coupe, ne

changez jamais l’angle de coupe sinon le disque

et le moteur de la meuleuse angulaire risquent

de caler et le disque de se casser. Pour couper,

ne travaillez que dans la direction opposée à la

rotation du disque. Si la coupe est effectuée dans

la même direction que la rotation du disque, le

disque pourrait être projeté hors de la fente.

g. Lors de la coupe de matériaux très durs, de

meilleurs résultats peuvent être obtenus avec un

disque diamant. Lors de l’utilisation d’un disque

diamant, celui-ci deviendra très chaud. Si cela

se produit, un anneau d’étincelles sera visible

autour du disque rotatif. Arrêtez alors la coupe et

faites refroidir en laissant tourner l’outil à vide

durant 2 à 3 minutes.

h. Assurez-vous toujours que l’ouvrage est ferme-

ment maintenu pour empêcher tout mouvement.

PRENEZ SOIN DE VOS OUTILS ET

ENTRETENEZ LES BIEN

En les gardant bien affûtés et propres, vous en

obtiendrez le rendement maximum dans des condi-

tions optimales de sécurité. Suivez les instructions

pour le graissage ou la pose et le démontage des

accessoires. Inspectez les cordons d’alimentation

à intervalles réguliers et, s’ils sont endommagés,

faites-les réparer à un centre de service après-vente

autorisé.

Votre outil ne nécessite aucune lubriﬁcation ou en-

tretien supplémentaire. Il ne comporte aucune pièce

à réparer ou à entretenir par l’utilisateur. N’utilisez

jamais de l’eau ou des nettoyants chimiques pour

nettoyer l’outil. Essuyez-le avec un chiffon sec.

Rangez toujours votre outil dans un endroit sec. Gar-

dez propres les ouvertures de ventilation du moteur.

Si vous remarquez des étincelles dans les ouvertures

de ventilation, ceci est normal et n’endommagera pas

votre outil.

ON/OFF SWITCH Slide the switch forward to start your tool and lock your tool for continuous working. To switch off your tool, depress the rear of the switch (See A). 2. HAND GRIP AREAS Always hold your angle grinder ﬁrmly with both hands when operating (See B). 3. ADJUSTABLE FRONT HANDLE You have the option of two working positions to provide the safest and most comfortable control of your angle grinder (See C). The handle is screwed clockwise into either hole on the sides of the gear case. 4. SPINDLE LOCK BUTTON Must only be used when changing a disc. Never press when the disc is rotating! 5. DISC FITTING The inner ﬂange (6) is located over the spindle (7) and on the spindle ﬂat. Locate the disc onto the inner ﬂange and then the outer ﬂange (5) is screwed onto the spindle (See E). Press the spindle lock button (4) and rotate the spindle until it locks, then ﬁrmly tighten the outer ﬂange using your special spanner to clamp the disc (See D). The pins on your special spanner locate in the holes on the outer ﬂange. Check the disc rotates freely and is securely clamped. Make a no load test run for 30 seconds to check disc vibration and disc run out. To remove a disc, reverse these instructions. 6. ADJUSTABLE OUTER FLANGE CLAMPING The outer ﬂange (5) should be adjusted to suit different disc thickness. For thinner cutting or diamond discs the raised part of the outer ﬂange is ﬁtted facing away from the disc (See F.1). For thicker grinding discs the raised part of the outer ﬂange is ﬁtted facing the disc to provide improved support for the disc hole (See F.2). Always ensure your disc is securely clamped. 7. GUARD ADJUSTMENT To move the guard you must release the guard lock bolt (8) using the other end of the special spanner (See G). The guard can then be rotated to provide maximum protection against sparks and debris. Finally, tighten the guard bolt (8). 8. REMOVING THE GUARD Only to be removed for use with sanding, ﬂap disc and wire cup brush accessories only. Never remove your guard for any other working conditions. Remove the disc, both ﬂanges, guard bolt, screws (9) x 3 and guard. Keep all parts in a safe place. 9. FITTING SANDING ACCESSORIES OR WIRE CUP BRUSH Check the accessory speciﬁcation for rated speed, spindle thread and other dimensions are correct for your angle grinder. Follow the ﬁtting instructions with your new accessory. WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR ANGLE GRINDER a. If your power tool becomes too hot, run no load for 2-3 minutes to cool the motor. b. Never start your angle grinder with the disc/accessory in contact with the workpiece. c. Always start at no load to achieve maximum speed then start working. d. Do not force the disc to work faster, reducing the Disc’s moving speed means longer working time. e. Always work with a 10-20 angle between disc and workpiece when grinding. Larger angles will cut ridges into the workpiece and affect the surface ﬁnish. Move the angle grinder across and back and forth over the workpiece. f. When using a cutting disc never change the cutting angle otherwise you will stall the disc and angle grinder motor or break the disc. If you cut in the same direction as the disc rotation the disc may push itself out of the cut slot. g. When cutting very hard material best results can be achieved with a diamond disc. When using a diamond disc it will become very hot. If this happens you will see a full ring of sparks around the rotating disc. Stop cutting and allow to cool at no load speed for 2-3 minutes. h. Always ensure the workpiece is ﬁrmly held or clamped to prevent movement. MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Inspect tool cords periodically and if damaged, have repaired by authorized service facility. Your power tool requires no additional lubrication or maintenance. There are no user serviceable parts in your power tool. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store your power tool in a dry place. Keep the motor ventilation slots clean. Keep all working controls free of dust. El llevar las herramientas con el dedo en el interruptor o el enchufar herramientas que tengan el interruptor en la posición “ON” (encendido) invita a que se produzcan accidentes. INTERRUPTOR DE MARCHA/PARADA Antes de poner en marcha la herramienta, asegúrese de que la llave se retire, los tornillos y los volantes apretados. Asegúrese de que el interruptor esté en posición ‘‘PARO’’ antes deconectar su máquina. La puesta en marcha se efectua por una sencilla presión en el interruptor, para detener la máquina, aﬂoje el interruptor. Para un trabajo en continuo, aprete el interruptor al frente (Ver A). 2. EMPUÑDURA Siempre sostenga su amoladora angular ﬁrmemente con ambas manos cuando se encuentre en funcionamiento (Ver B). 3. MANIJA AJUSTABLE Para más seguridad y comodidad, su amoladora angular tiene 2 posiciones de empuñadura. Atornille la empuñadura en el sentido de las agujas del reloj en uno de los aterrajados previstos por una y otra parte del cárter de cabeza (Ver C). 4. BOTÓN DE BLOQUEO DEL ÁRBOL Este botón permite inmovilizar el árbol cuando cambie la muela. No apriete nunca el botón de bloqueo del árbol durante el funcionamiento o para detener la rotación. 5. INSTALACIÓN DE LA MUELA Desconecte la herramienta. La brida de arrastre (6) está situada en el árbol (7) y arrastrada por los plato (Ver D). Coloque la muela contra la brida de arrastre después instale la brida de cierre (5) en el aterrajado del árbol (Ver E). Apriete el botón de bloqueo (4) y haga girar el árbol hasta inmovilización. Apriete la brida de cierre con ayuda de la llave de uña. Aﬂoje el botón de bloqueo y compruebe que la muela se instale correctamente y gire libremente. Haga girar sin carga durante 30 segundos en una posición segura, detenga la máquina inmediatamente si tiene una vibración importante o otros defectos. Si tal es el caso, compruebe la máquina para determinar el origen del defecto. Para retirar el disco, proceder en sentido inverso. 6. BRIDA DE CIERRE La brida de cierre (5) debe instalarse con el ﬁn de satisfacer diferentes espesores de muela. Para muelas ﬁnas o discos diamantes, el gran diámetro de la brida se coloca contra la muela o el disco (Ver F.1). Para las muelas espesas, el gran diámetro está en el exterior, el pequeño diámetro soporta la muela (Ver F.2). Siempre asegúrese de que la muela se apriete correctamente. 7. AJUSTE DE LA GUARDA PORTECTORA La guarda protectora puede ajustarse destornillando el tornillo (8). Para eso, utilice la llave incluida (Ver G). La guarda puede entonces rotarse para proveer una máxima protección contra chispas y esquirlas. Después el ajuste, vuelva a atornillar el tornillo (8) después de haber comprobado que la guarda protectora toque el cárter. 8. DESMONTAJE DE LA GUARDA PORTECTORA La guarda puede retirarse excepcionalmente para la instalación de discos de lijado de cualquier tipo (axiales y radiales). Para quitarla, primero retire la muela y las bridas. Luego abra la palanca y gire la guarda para alinear las muescas de la guarda con las aberturas del cárter, luego retire la guarda. Para reinstalarla, repita este procedimiento en sentido inverso. 9. INSTALACIÓN DE LOS ACCESORIOS DE LIJADO O ESCOBILLAS Compruebe que las especiﬁcaciones y en particular la velocidad del accesorio es compatible con la máquina. Instale y utilice el accesorio de acuerdo con las instrucciones del fabricante. 16 M-RK4747K 2006.6.2.indd 16 2006-7-5 10:54:33 AFILADOR ANGULAR CONSEJOS DE TRABAJO PARA SU AFILADOR ANGULAR a. Si su herramienta eléctrica se calienta demasiado, hágala funcionar sin carga durante 2-3 minutos para enfriar el motor. b. Nunca encienda su aﬁlador angular con el disco/ accesorio en contacto con la pieza de trabajo. c. Comience siempre sin carga para alcanzar la máxima velocidad y luego comience a trabajar. d. No fuerce el disco para trabajar más rápido; si reduce la velocidad de trabajo del disco, el trabajo le llevará más tiempo. e. Al aﬁlar, trabaje siempre con un ángulo de 10-20 grados entre el disco y la pieza de trabajo. Ángulos más grandes cortarán cantos en la pieza de trabajo y afectan el acabado superﬁcial. Desplace el aﬁlador angular a lo largo de la pieza, una y otra vez. f. Cuando utilice un disco de corte, nunca cambie el ángulo de corte, ya que así atascará el disco o el motor del aﬁlador, o romperá el disco. Cuando efectúe cortes, hágalos sólo en dirección opuesta a la rotación del disco. Si corta en la misma dirección de rotación del disco, éste puede proyectarse fuera de la ranura de corte. g. Cuando corte materiales muy duros, puede lograr mejores resultados con un disco de diamante. Cuando emplee un disco de diamante, se recalentará mucho. Si esto sucede, verá un anillo de chispas alrededor del disco en movimiento. Suspenda el corte y deje que se enfríe usándolo sin carga durante 2-3 minutos. h. Asegúrese siempre de sostener ﬁrmemente la pieza de trabajo para prevenir el movimiento. MANTENGA LAS HERRAMIENTAS CON CUIDADO Conserve las herramientas aﬁladas y limpias para que funcionen mejor y con más seguridad. Siga las instrucciones para lubricar y cambiar los accesorios. Inspeccione periódicamente los cables de las herramientas y si están dañados hágalos reparar por un centro de servicio autorizado. Su herramienta no requiere lubricación ni mantenimiento adicional. No posee piezas en su interior que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario. Nunca emplee agua o productos químicos para limpiar su ESP herramienta. Use simplemente un paño seco. Guarde siempre su herramienta en un lugar seco. Mantenga limpias las ranuras de ventilación del motor. La observación de chispas que destellan bajo las ranuras de ventilación, indica operación normal que no dañará su herramienta. GARANTÍA GARANTÍA LIMITADA DE REEMPLAZO POR 30 DÍAS Durante los primeros 30 días luego de la fecha de compra, podrá reemplazar una herramienta que no funcione correctamente debido a defectos de material o fabricación devolviéndola a la tienda donde la haya comprado. Para recibir una herramienta de reemplazo, deberá presentar un comprobante de compra fechado y devolver todo el material de empaque original junto con el producto. La herramienta reemplazada seguíra cubierta por una garantía limitada basada en el balance de el período de dos años desde la fecha original de la compra. S’assurer que le cordon de rallonge est en bon état, qu’il comporte trois ﬁls, une ﬁche à trois broches et une prise à trois cavités pouvant recevoir la ﬁche de la machine. Lorsqu’un cordon de rallonge est utilisé, s’assurer que celui-ci soit d’un calibre qui convient au courant utilisé par la machine. Un cordon de calibre insufﬁsant entraînera une perte de tension d’où une perte de puissance et la surchauffe. S’il y a un doute, utiliser un cordon d’un calibre supérieur. Plus le chiffre est petit, plus le ﬁl est gros. INTERRUPTEUR MARCHE/ARRÊT Avant de mettre l’outil en marche, assurez-vous que la clé a été retirée, les vis et les volants serrés. Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur est en position « Arrêt » avant de brancher votre machine. La mise en route s’effectue par une simple pression sur l’interrupteur, pour l’arrêter relâchez l’interrupteur. Pour un travail en continu, poussez l’interrupteur vers l’avant (Voir A). 2. POIGNÉE Tenez toujours fermement la machine avec les deux mains (Voir B). 3. POIGNEE AVANT ORIENTABLE Pour plus de sécurité et de confort, votre meuleuse d’angle propose 2 positions pour mettre en place la poignée. Vissez la poignée dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre dans un des ﬁletages prévus de part et d’autre du carter de tête (Voir C). 4. BOUTON DE BLOCAGE DE L’ARBRE Ce bouton permet d’immobiliser l’arbre lors du changement de meule. Ne pressez jamais le bouton de blocage d’arbre pendant le fonctionnement de la machine ou pour interrompre la rotation. 5. MONTAGE DE LA MEULE Débranchez la prise de courant. Le ﬂasque d’entraînement (6) est monté sur l’arbre (7) et entraîné par les plat (Voir D) . 23 M-RK4747K 2006.6.2.indd 23 2006-7-5 10:54:37 MEULEUSE ANGULAIRE Placez la meule contre le ﬂasque d’entraînement puis montez le ﬂasque de serrage (5) sur le ﬁletage M14 de l’arbre (Voir E). Pressez le bouton de blocage (4) et faîtes tourner l’arbre jusqu’à immobilisation. Serrez le ﬂasque de serrage à l’aide de la clé à ergots . Relâchez le bouton de blocage et vériﬁez le bon montage et la libre rotation de la meule. Faîtes tourner à vide 30 secondes dans une position sûre, arrêtez la machine immédiatement s’il y a une vibration importante ou si d’autres défauts sont détectés. Si tel est le cas, vériﬁez la machine pour déterminer l’origine du défaut. Pour enlever le disque, procédez en sens inverse. 6. FLASQUE DE SERRAGE Le ﬂasque de serrage (5) doit être monté aﬁn de satisfaire différentes épaisseurs de meule. Pour des meules minces ou des disques diamantés le grand diamètre du ﬂasque est placé contre la meule ou le disque. (Voir F.1) Pour les meules épaisses le grand diamètre est à l’extérieur, le petit diamètre supportant la meule (Voir F.2). Assurez-vous toujours du bon serrage de la meule. 7. RÉGLAGE DU PROTECTEUR Le protecteur peut être ajusté en desserrant la vis (8) Pour cela utilisez la clé fournie (Voir G). Il peut alors tourner aﬁn de protéger au mieux l’utilisateur des étincelles et particules. Après réglage, revissez la vis (8) après avoir vériﬁé que le protecteur plaque bien contre le carter. 8. DÉMONTAGE DU PROTECTEUR Le protecteur peut être exceptionnellement retiré pour le montage de disques à poncer de tout type (axiaux et radiaux). Pour cela, démontez la meule et les ﬂasques, ouvrez le levier (8), puis tournez le protecteur aﬁn d’aligner les crans du protecteur avec les ouvertures du carter et sortez le protecteur. Remontez en sens inverse. 9. MONTAGE DES ACCESSOIRES DE PONÇAGE ET DES BROSSES Vériﬁez que les spéciﬁcations et en particulier la vitesse de l’accessoire est compatible avec la machine. Montez et utilisez l’accessoire conformément aux instructions de son fabricant. FRE CONSEILS D‘UTILISATION POUR VOTRE MEULEUSE ANGULAIRE a. Si votre meuleuse angulaire devient trop chaude, faites la fonctionner à vide pendant 2 à 3 minutes aﬁn de refroidir le moteur. b. Ne démarrez jamais votre meuleuse angulaire avec son disque/accessoire en contact avec l’ouvrage. c. Attendez toujours que la machine ait atteint sa vitesse maximale avant de commencer le travail. d. N’appliquez pas de force sur le disque pour accélérer votre travail. Sa réduction de vitesse résultante aurait un effet contraire. e. Ravaillez toujours en gardant un angle de 10 à 20° entre le disque et l’ouvrage. De plus grands angles peuvent faire des stries sur la pièce à travailler et affecter la ﬁnition de la surface. f. Lors de l’utilisation d’un disque de coupe, ne changez jamais l’angle de coupe sinon le disque et le moteur de la meuleuse angulaire risquent de caler et le disque de se casser. Pour couper, ne travaillez que dans la direction opposée à la rotation du disque. Si la coupe est effectuée dans la même direction que la rotation du disque, le disque pourrait être projeté hors de la fente. g. Lors de la coupe de matériaux très durs, de meilleurs résultats peuvent être obtenus avec un disque diamant. Lors de l’utilisation d’un disque diamant, celui-ci deviendra très chaud. Si cela se produit, un anneau d’étincelles sera visible autour du disque rotatif. Arrêtez alors la coupe et faites refroidir en laissant tourner l’outil à vide durant 2 à 3 minutes. h. Assurez-vous toujours que l’ouvrage est fermement maintenu pour empêcher tout mouvement. PRENEZ SOIN DE VOS OUTILS ET ENTRETENEZ LES BIEN En les gardant bien affûtés et propres, vous en obtiendrez le rendement maximum dans des conditions optimales de sécurité. Suivez les instructions pour le graissage ou la pose et le démontage des accessoires. Rangez toujours votre outil dans un endroit sec. Gardez propres les ouvertures de ventilation du moteur.
