Inserting/Removing Drums
Now, based on your needs, select one of the 5 drums (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) included with the appliance
and fully insert it into the feed chute (11). The applications of the individual drums (4, 5, 6, 7, 10)
are explained in the graphic in the section ‘The Drums’ on page 14. Then fit the feed chute (11)
with the attached drum (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) onto the drive shaft (9). There is an arrow () on the back
of the feed chute (11) for easier assembly. An open lock and a closed lock above it H can be
found to the right of the drive shaft (9) on the housing of the food grater (1). Proceed as follows:
Place the feed chute (11) with the inserted drum (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) onto the drive shaft (9) so that
the arrow () on the feed chute (11) points to the open lock on the housing of the food
grater (1).
Now turn the feed chute (11) counterclockwise until the arrow () points to the closed lock H
on the housing of the food grater (1).
If you cannot properly attach the feed chute (11), make sure that the drum (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) is
pushed in all the way.
Store the remaining drums (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) in the storage compartment (8), and close the storage
compartment (8) with the storage compartment lid (3). Then attach the storage compartment (8) to
the electric food grater (1).
To remove the drum (4, 5, 6, 7, 10), first remove the feed chute (11) from the food grater (1).
Turn the feed chute (11) clockwise until the arrow () points to the open lock on the
housing of the food grater (1).
You can then remove the drum (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) from the feed chute (11).
To do this, proceed as follows:
First remove the food plunger (12) from
the feed chute (11). Now hold onto the
feed chute (11) tightly with one hand.
1. With the thumb and forefinger of your
other hand, grip the edge of the inserted
drum (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) and the feed chute
(11) and press them together as shown in
the illustration.
2. This makes it easy to detach the drum
(4, 5, 6, 7, 10) and then remove it from
the feed chute (11).
Please note that the drum (4, 5, 6, 7, 10) cannot be inserted or removed while the feed chute (11)
is attached to the food grater (1).
