Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of a high-quality Rocketfish product. Your RF-SBM102 represents the state of the art in

soundbar-mount design and is designed for reliable and trouble-free performance.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

• This soundbar mount is only designed for use with TV wall mounts that meet UL/TUV safety certifications.

• This soundbar mount is ONLY designed to mount BELOW the television.

• This soundbar mount is designed to be installed and utilized only as specified in this manual. The manufacturer is

not responsible for improper assembly, use, or handling of this product.

• Your wall must be capable of supporting five times the weight of your TV, TV mount, and soundbar combined.

• Failure to follow these instructions could result in an unstable situation that may result in property damage or

personal injury.

• WARNING: This product contains small items that could be a choking hazard if swallowed. Before starting assembly,

make sure that all parts are included and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not return the

damaged item to your dealer. Contact Customer Service. Never use damaged parts!

CAUTION: The weight of your TV, PLUS your soundbar mount, your soundbar, and any accessories, MUST BE LOWER than the

maximum weight rating of your TV mount. See your TV mount's manual for maximum weight allowed.

Before you begin

Make sure that:

• Your TV, soundbar, soundbar mount, and any accessories you plan to install DO NOT EXCEED the specified weight

limit of your TV wall mount.

• You refer to the documentation that came with your soundbar, your TV, and your TV wall mount for additional

guidance.

• You read and understand these directions.

• You have the tools needed for installation.

Note: Your TV wall mount may vary from the illustrations throughout this assembly guide, but the procedure to install the

soundbar is the same.

Installation instructions

STEP 1 - Prepare your TV

CAUTION: Follow your TV mount’s manual for instructions on how to safely remove your TV and TV bracket.

If your TV has a wall mount installed:

1 Remove any cables attached to your TV.

2 Remove your TV and bracket assembly from your wall plate, arm assembly, or pillar.

3 Remove the TV bracket assembly and hardware from your TV.

STEP 2 - Adjust the soundbar mount arms

1 Remove the screws (P) from the soundbar arm brackets (02 and 03).

Note: Save the screws. You will need to reattach them in STEP 3.

2 Measure the distance between the mounting holes on your soundbar.

3 Based on your soundbar measurements, rotate the arm brackets (02 and 03) left or right to align with your soundbar

mounting holes. Make sure that the arms do not overhang the ends of your soundbar or cover up any cable

connections.

STEP 3 - Assemble your soundbar mount

1 Insert the soundbar arm brackets (02 and 03) into the horizontal bracket (01).

Note: Holding the lever inward helps to slide the arms.

2 Reattach the screws (P) onto the arm brackets (02 and 03).

CAUTION: The screws (P) must be installed to secure the arms to the horizontal bracket (01).

STEP 4 - Determine the TV screw diameter

1 Determine the screw diameter that fits the back of your TV. If you don't know the correct diameter of the mounting

screws your TV requires, test various sizes by hand threading the screws.

Select the screws that fit:

CAUTION: To avoid potential personal injuries and property damage, make sure that the screws have adequate

threads to secure the washer and spacer combination AND all brackets. If you encounter resistance, stop immediately

and contact customer service. Using hardware that is too long may damage your TV. However, using a screw that is

too short may cause your TV to fall from the mount.

2 Remove the screws.

STEP 5 - Determine whether your TV has a flat, irregular, or obstructed back

1 Carefully place your TV face-down on a cushioned, clean surface to protect the screen from damages and scratches.

2 Temporarily lay your soundbar mount assembly on the back of your TV.

3 Align the screw holes in the horizontal soundbar bracket with the mounting screw holes on your TV.

4 Identify which type of back your TV have:

• Flat back: The bracket lays flush against the back of your TV and doesn’t block any jacks. You don’t need TV

wall-mount spacers. Go to STEP 6 - Install the soundbar mount on your TV

on page 11.

• Obstructed back: The bracket blocks any of the jacks on the back of your TV. You need TV wall-mount spacers. Go to

STEP 6 - Install the soundbar mount on your TV

on page 11.

• Irregularly-shaped back: There is a gap between the brackets and some part of the back of your TV. You need TV

wall-mount spacers. Go to STEP 6 - Install the soundbar mount on your TV

on page 11.

STEP 6 - Install the soundbar mount on your TV

CAUTION: To offset the shift in height of your TV bracket caused by the soundbar bracket (01), you must use the spacers (16) in

the top hole locations and the washers (17) in the bottom hole locations.

1 If your TV has a flat back, place the 16mm spacers (16) over your TV’s top mounting holes and the interface

washers (17) over the bottom mounting holes.

If your TV has an irregular or obstructed back, place your TV mount spacers over your TV’s mounting holes. Then place

the 16 mm spacers (16) over the spacers on the top mounting holes and the interface washers (17) over the spacer on

the bottom mounting holes.

2 Center the soundbar horizontal bracket (01) over the interface washers (17) on your TV’s bottom mounting holes.

3 Center your TV mount bracket(s) on top of the 16 mm spacers (16) and the soundbar bracket (01). Secure the TV

mount and soundbar mount to your TV using the supplied TV screws and washers.

CAUTION: Make sure that you use the correct length screws.

STEP 7 - Install your soundbar to the arms

1 Center your soundbar at the bottom of your TV, then adjust the arms of the soundbar mount over your soundbar

mount holes.

Note: Holding the lever inward helps to slide the arms.

2 Look at the mounting holes on the back or bottom of your soundbar to determine which method you need to use.

3 For back-mounted key hole slots, go to STEP 7A - Back-mounted key hole slots

on page 14.

4 For back-mounted threaded inserts, go to STEP 7B - Back-mounted threaded inserts

on page 15.

5 For bottom-mounted threaded inserts, go to STEP 7C - Bottom-mounted threaded inserts

1 Assemble the knobs (26) and keyhole screws (25).

2 Attach the soundbar arm brackets (02) and (03) to your soundbar using the knob assemblies.

3Tighten the screws (L) to secure the arms in place.

STEP 7B - Back-mounted threaded inserts

1 Attach the soundbar arm brackets (02 and 03) to your soundbar using two screws (18, 19, 20, 21, or 22) and washers

(23 or 24).

2Tighten the screws (L) to secure the arms in place.

STEP 7C - Bottom-mounted threaded inserts

Align the bottom brackets (04) with your soundbar mounting holes and attach using two screws (18, 19, 20, or 21) and

washers (23 or 24). If the supplied screws are too long for your soundbar, use the 2.5 mm spacers (15).

3 Remove the screws (S) and washers (W) from the bottom brackets (04).

4 Install the bottom brackets (04) to the soundbar arms using the screws (S) and washers (W).

5Tighten the screws (L) to secure the arms in place.

STEP 8 - Hang your TV

1 Adjust the release cord (R) height to the bottom of your soundbar, for easy access during adjustments.

2 Make sure that soundbar doesn’t touch the wall when you mount your TV. Adjust the depth of your soundbar as

needed by loosening screw (L). Tighten the screw (L) after adjustments.

3 Follow the instructions in your TV wall mount installation manual to hang your TV assembly.

STEP 9 - Adjust the soundbar height (optional)

Note: Depending on the type of TV wall mount you have, you may need to remove your TV from the wall to adjust the soundbar

height.

• Pull and hold the release cord (R) to raise or lower your soundbar.

CAUTION: Make sure that you support your soundbar with one hand while moving it.

STEP 10 - Adjust the soundbar depth (optional)

Note: Depending on the type of TV wall mount you have, you may need to remove your TV from the wall to adjust the soundbar

height.

1 Loosen the knobs (26) or screws (18, 19, 20, 21, or 22) (depending on your installation option), on the back of your

soundbar.

2 Loosen the locking screws (L) that secure the arm brackets (02 and 03).

3 For a back-mounted installation, move your soundbar to the position you want.

For a bottom-mount installation, loosen the screws that secure the bottom bracket (4) to the bottom of your

soundbar, then slide your soundbar in or out.

4 Tighten all knobs and screws when you finish adjusting the depth.

LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY

Definitions:

The Distributor* of Rocketfish branded products warrants to you, the original purchaser of this new Rocketfish-branded product ("Product"), that the

Product shall be free of defects in the original manufacturer of the material or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of your purchase of

the Product ("Warranty Period").

For this warranty to apply, your Product must be purchased in the United States or Canada from a Best Buy branded retail store or online at

www.bestbuy.com or www.bestbuy.ca and is packaged with this warranty statement.

How long does the coverage last?

The Warranty Period lasts for the useful life of the Product beginning on the date you purchased the Product. Your purchase date is printed on the receipt

you received with the Product. In the event the Distributor ceases to sell the covered Rocketfish-branded product, this Limited Lifetime Warranty shall

terminate for that product and there shall be no repair or replacement of the Product.

What does this warranty cover?

During the Warranty Period, if the original manufacture of the material or workmanship of the Product is determined to be defective by an authorized

Rocketfish repair center or store personnel, Rocketfish will (at its sole option): (1) repair the Product with new or rebuilt parts; or (2) replace the Product at

no charge with new or rebuilt comparable products or parts. Products and parts replaced under this warranty become the property of Rocketfish and are

not returned to you. If service of Products or parts are required after the Warranty Period expires, you must pay all labor and parts charges. This warranty

lasts as long as you own your Rocketfish Product during the Warranty Period. Warranty coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer the Product.

How to obtain warranty service?

If you purchased the Product at a Best Buy retail store location or from a Best Buy online website (www.bestbuy.com or www.bestbuy.ca), please take

your original receipt and the Product to any Best Buy store. Make sure that you place the Product in its original packaging or packaging that provides the

same amount of protection as the original packaging.

To obtain warranty service, in the United States and Canada call 1-800-620-2790. Call agents may diagnose and correct the issue over the phone.

Where is the warranty valid?

This warranty is valid only in the United States and Canada at Best Buy branded retail stores or websites to the original purchaser of the product in the

country where the original purchase was made.

This warranty does not cover:

• Customer instruction/education

•Installation

•Set up adjustments

• Cosmetic damage

• Damage due to weather, lightning, and other acts of God, such as power surges

• Accidental damage

•Misuse

•Abuse

•Negligence

• Commercial purposes/use, including but not limited to use in a place of business or in communal areas of a multiple dwelling condominium or

apartment complex, or otherwise used in a place of other than a private home.

• Unauthorized modification of any part of the Product, including the antenna

• Display panel damaged by static (non-moving) images applied for lengthy periods (burn-in).

• Damage due to incorrect operation or maintenance

• Connection to an incorrect voltage or power supply

• Attempted repair by any person not authorized by Rocketfish to service the Product

• Products sold "as is" or "with all faults"

• Consumables, including but not limited to batteries (i.e. AA, AAA, C etc.)

• Products where the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed

• Loss or Theft of this product or any part of the product

• Display panels containing up to three (3) pixel failures (dots that are dark or incorrectly illuminated) grouped in an area smaller than one tenth

(1/10) of the display size or up to five (5) pixel failures throughout the display. (Pixel based displays may contain a limited number of pixels that

may not function normally.)

• Failures or Damage caused by any contact including but not limited to liquids, gels or pastes.

Instrucciones de instalación

PASO 1 - Prepare su televisor

CUIDADO: Siga el manual del soporte de montaje del televisor para obtener instrucciones sobre cómo quitar el televisor y el

soporte de montaje del televisor de forma segura.

Si su televisor tiene un soporte de montaje en pared instalado:

1 Retire cualquiera de los cables conectados a su televisor.

2 Retire el televisor y el soporte de montaje de la placa para pared, el brazo o la columna.

3 Retire el soporte de montaje del televisor y la ferretería de su televisor.

PASO 4 - Determine el diámetro del tornillo para el televisor

1 Determine el diámetro del tornillo que se ajusta a la parte posterior de su televisor. Si no conoce el diámetro correcto

de los tornillos de montaje que requiere su televisor, pruebe varios de tamaños diferentes enroscándolos

manualmente.

Seleccione los tornillos que se ajusten:

CUIDADO: Para evitar posibles lesiones personales y daños materiales, asegúrese de que los tornillos tengan roscas

adecuadas para asegurar la combinación de arandela y espaciador Y todos los soportes. Si encuentra resistencia,

PASO 5 - Determine si su televisor tiene una parte posterior plana, irregular u

obstruida.

1 Coloque cuidadosamente el televisor con la pantalla hacia abajo, sobre una superficie acolchonada y limpia para

proteger la pantalla de daños y rayones.

2 Coloque temporalmente el soporte de montaje de la barra de sonido en la parte posterior del televisor.

3 Alinee los agujeros de tornillos en el soporte horizontal de la barra de sonido con los agujeros del tornillo de montaje

en su televisor.

4 Determine que tipo de parte posterior su televisor tiene:

• Panel posterior plano: el soporte está al ras de la parte posterior de su televisor y no bloquea ninguna de las tomas.

No se necesitan espaciadores para el montaje en pared del televisor. Refiérase a la sección PASO 6 - Instalación del

montaje de la barra de sonido en su televisor en la página 31.

• Parte posterior obstruida: el soporte bloquea cualquiera de las tomas en la parte posterior de su televisor. Usted

CUIDADO: Para compensar el desplazamiento de altura de su soporte de montaje del televisor causado por el soporte de

montaje de la barra de sonido (01), debe utilizar los espaciadores (16) en las posiciones de los orificios superiores y las arandelas

(17) en las posiciones de los orificios inferiores.

1 Si su televisor tiene la parte posterior plana, coloque los espaciadores de 16 mm (16) sobre los orificios de montaje

superiores del televisor y las arandelas de interfaz (17) sobre los orificios de montaje inferiores.

PASO 7C - Insertos con rosca de la parte inferior

PASO 8 - Sujete su televisor

1 Ajuste la altura de la cuerda de liberación (R) a la parte inferior de la barra de sonido para facilitar el acceso durante los

2 Asegúrese de que la barra de sonido no toque la pared cuando monte el televisor. Ajuste la profundidad de la barra de
