Attention:

Togetbestresults,pleaseoperatepumpcompletelysubmerged.Keepthewaterlevel

above the minimum water level AT ALL TIMES.

1. Place the base on a flat surface. Lead the pump cord through the cord slot on the

bottomofthebase(Fig2)Thiswillensurethattheunitisbalancedwhenplacedon

a flat surface.

2. Insertthelightbulbintothelightcliplocatedinsidethebase(Fig2).

Warning: Bulb may get hot, allow to cool

completely before touching.

3. Insert the pump outlet into the water tube and align the arrow marking of fountain

top with arrow marking at the edge of the base, so that the fountain top stands on

thebasesecurely(Fig3&Fig.4).

4. Fillfountainbasewithenoughcleanwatertocompletelycoverthewaterpump,the

water level should be even with the watermark. Place river rocks on the platform

fordecoration(Fig5),Plugthecordinto120Vhouseholdoutlet.Thefountainis

controlled by the switch located on the power cord, If pump doesn’t operate, rotate

in-line switch once to turn” on “ and once more turn off.

Note: Ensure that the electrical cord loops below the electrical outlet to form a

“Drip Loop”. This will prevent water from running down the cord into the electrical

outlet(Fig7).

Maintenance

Changing light bulb

First, unplug fountain and let

bulb cool down. Remove the

bulb from the rubber plug in the

plastic tube. Gently pull the rubber plug

together with the bulb cover out from the

plastic tube and slowly pull apart.Use cau-

tion with glass tube. Insert the rubber plug

back into the plastic tube. Pull bulb straight

out from rubber neck. Replace with new

bulb, inserting prongs into the holes. Place

bulb cover securely onto rubber neck and

slide together into rubber of plastic tube

(Fig8).

Unpack the product.

To clean of hard water deposits on the base

1. Cleanthecontainerinamixtureofvinegarandwatertocleanandremoveanymin-

eral build-up

Keeping the water at an optimum level:

1. Add water periodically to keep water level at an optimum level and to avoid short-

ening the life of the pump.

NOTE: Never let the pump run dry.

Fountain storage:

1. Unplug the fountain from the electrical outlet, empty the water, and store in a dry,

cool place.

2. To store the provided cleaning pin life fountain lid and snap into clip

TROUBLESHOOTING

• Ifthepumpfailstooperate,checkthefollowing:

 Checkthecircuitbreaker,ortryadifferentoutlettomakesurethepumpisgetting

electrical power.

NOTE: Always disconnect from electrical outlet before handling the pump.

• Ifthepumpgurgles,spews,or“burps”:

 Checkthewaterleveltomakesurethepumphasenoughwatertofunction.

• Obtainingadesiredwaterlevel:

 Checkthewaterleveldailythefirstweektomeasuretherateofevaporation;refill

with water as needed.

• Ifwaterissplashingoutsidethefountain:

Rearrange the rocks by moving them to the area in the base where they can be hit

directly by falling water.

To clean the pump:

1. Unplug from electrical outlet. Remove it from the base of the fountain. Use a small

brushorstreamofwatertoremoveanydebris(Fig9).

2. Wash the filter sponge once a week to ensure the best performance of water

streams.

To keep water clean:

1. Periodically change water and clean the product according to the water condition.

2. Keepingthewatercleanpreventsthewaterfrombecomingstickyandcreating

build-up.

3. Using distilled water to prevent mineral build-up is recommended.

LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture

and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase, except

as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material

and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to con-

sumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your

dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

No COD's will be accepted.

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the

subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers,

to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty

does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any

unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthor-

ized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power;

dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide

manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect;

vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at

a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatso-

ever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country

in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption

to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed,

manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these

modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE

WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED

INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY

OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS

COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY

INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS

WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART

OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD

OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR

DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO

MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.

This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repack-

aged and/or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products

on Internet auction sites and/or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers.

Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any

products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without

the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.

This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights

Atención:

Paraobtenermejoresresultados,hagafuncionarlabombatotalmentesumergida.Man-

tenga el agua por encima del nivel mínimo EN TODO MOMENTO.

1. Coloquelabasesobreunasuperficieplana.Paseelcabledelabombaatravésde

laranuraparaelcableenlaparteinferiordelabase(Fig.2).Estoaseguraráquela

unidad quede equilibrada cuando se coloque en una superficie plana.

2. Introduzcalabombillaenlagrapadelaluzubicadadentrodelabase(Fig.3).

Advertencia: la bombilla puede calentarse mucho; permita que se enfríe por com-

pleto antes de tocarla.

3. Introduzca la salida de la bomba en el tubo de agua y alinee la marca de la flecha

de la parte superior de la fuente con la marca que se encuentra en el borde de

la base, de modo que la parte superior de la fuente se sostenga de forma segura

sobrelabase(Fig.4).

4.Llenelabasedelafuenteconsuficienteagualimpiaparacubrirlabombadeagua,

elniveldeaguadebeestarniveladoconlamarcadeagua.Coloquelaspiedras

deríoenlaplataformaparadecoración(Fig.5),enchufeelcableenuntomacor-

rientedomésticode120V.Lafuentesecontrolamedianteelinterruptorubicadoen

el cable de corriente, si la bomba no funciona, gire el interruptor en línea una vez

paraencender(“on”)yunavezmásparaapagar(“off”).

Cambio de las bombillas

Enprimerlugar,desenchufelafuenteydejeenfriarlabombilla.Retirelabombilladel

enchufe de goma del tubo plástico. Quite suavemente el enchufe de goma con la cubi-

erta de la bombilla del tubo plástico y sepárelos lentamente. Tenga cuidado con el tubo

de vidrio de la bombilla. Introduzca el enchufe de goma nuevamente en el tubo plástico.

Quite sin torcer la bombilla del cuello de goma. Reemplácela con la nueva bombilla,

introduciendolasclavijasenlosorificios.Coloquelacubiertadelabombilladeforma

segurasobreelcuellodegomaydeslícelosjuntoshaciaelenchufedegomadeltubo

plástico(Fig.8).

Mantenimiento del agua a un nivel óptimo:

1. Agregueaguaenformaperiódicaparamantenerelaguaenunnivelóptimoyevi-

tar que la vida de la bomba se vea reducida.

2. Lavelaesponjadelfiltrounavezporsemanaparaasegurarelmejordesempeño

de las corrientes de agua.

Almacenamiento de la fuente.

1. Desenchufelafuentedeltomacorrienteeléctrico,quiteelaguayguardeenun

lugar seco y fresco.

2. Para guardar el alfiler de limpieza, levante la tapa de la fuente y tránquela en su

sitio.

Diagnóstico y resolución de problemas

• Silabombanofunciona,verifiquelosiguiente:

Revise el disyuntor o enchufe la unidad en otro tomacorriente para asegurarse de

que la bomba está recibiendo corrien.

NOTA: Siempre desconecte la bomba del tomacorriente

eléctricoantesdemanipularlap.

• Silabombagorgotea,“vomita”o“eructa”:

Revise el nivel del agua para asegurar que la bomba tenga suficiente agua para

funcionar.

• Cómolograrelniveldeaguadeseado:

Revise diariamente el nivel de agua en la primera semana

paramedirlavelocidaddeevaporación;agregueaguasegúnseanecesario.

• Sielaguasalpicafueradelafuente:

 Reacomodelaspiedrasmoviéndolasaláreaenlabasedondepuedansergolpea-

das directamente por el agua que cae.

Para limpiar la bomba:

1. Desenchufedeltomacorrienteeléctrico.Quitelabombadelabasedelafuente.

Utilice un cepillo pequeño o chorro de agua para quitar cualquier desecho que haya

(Fig.9).

Para mantener el agua limpia:

1. Cambieelaguaperiódicamenteylimpieelproductosegúnlascondicionesdelagua.

2. Mantenerelagualimpiaevitaquelamismasevuelvapegajosaygenereacumu-

lación.

3. Serecomiendaelusodeaguadestiladaparaevitarlaacumulaciónmineral.

Para limpiar los depósitos de agua dura de la base

1. Limpie el recipiente en una mezcla de vinagre y agua para limpiar y quitar cualquier

acumulaciónmineralquehaya.
