1. Unpacktheproductfrompackagecarefully.Keeppackagingmate-
rial for safe storage.
2. Familiarizeyourselfwiththepump(E).Thepumpspeediscontrolled
bytheswitchlocatedatthefrontofthepump.Thespeed(Fig.4)
isindicatedbyaplus(+)andminus(-)sign.Toincreasethespeed,
move the switch slowly in the direction of the plus sign. You will hear
a click as the switch moves to each speed level. At its highest speed
level, the switch will cease to move any further. To decrease the
pump speed, move the switch toward the minus sign. Similarly, at its
lowest speed, the switch will cease to move any further.
Note: It is recommended the pump be set at its highest speed dur-
ingassemblyandlateradjustedtoalowersettingifdesired.Besure
tounplugthepumpbeforeadjustingthespeedsetting.
3. Insertthetube(locatedonthebottomofplatform(B))intothepump.
4. Inserttubesforeachtier(A)thecorrespondingholesontheplat-
form(B)asshowninFig.1.Note: Please do not hold the tiers, hold
the tube under the tier instead for assembling.
5. Fillfountain(C)withwaterto1”fromtop.Werecommendusing
distilled water to prevent mineral build up.
6. Settheplatformwithassembledtiersontothebaseontopofthe
notch so it sits level.
7. AttachtheA/Cadaptorjack(F)tothebasepowercord.DONOT
plug into outlet at this time.
8. Setthefountainonalevel,waterproofsurface.
9. Plug the cord into 120V household outlet. The fountain is controlled
by the switch located on the power cord. If pump doesn’t operate,
rotatein-lineswitchoncetoturn“on”andoncemoretoturn“off”.
Monthly maintenance will add to your pump’s life.
Note: Ensure that the electrical cord loops below the electrical outlet
toforma‘DripLoop’(Fig.2).Thiswillpreventwaterfromrunning
down the cord into the electrical outlet.
10.Arrangetheriverrocksprovidedontheplatformand/ortiers.(If
splashingoccurs,rearrangerocksuntilthereisnomoresplashing).

MAINTENANCE:
1. To keep water clean:
Periodically change water and clean the product according
tothewatercondition.Keepingthewatercleanpreventsthe
water from becoming sticky and forming micro-organisms. We
recommend distilled water to prevent mineral build-up.
2. To clean off hard water deposits on the base:
Use a mixture of vinegar and water to clean and remove any
mineral build-up on the base and pump.
3. Keeping the water at an optimum level:
Add water periodically to keep water level at an optimum level
and to avoid shortening the life of the pump. Note: Never let
the pump run dry.
4. Fountain Storage
Unplug the fountain from the electrical outlet, empty the water,
and store in a dry, cool place.
Caution:
All servicing of this fountain must be performed by authorized
HoMedics service personnel only.

• Tocleanthepump:
Unplug from electrical outlet. Disassemble the fountain and
removethe2screwsatthetopofthePumpCover(E)using
a Phillips head screwdriver. Grasp the Water Supply Hole
andgentlyliftthePumpCovertogainaccesstothePump.
RemovethePumpCoverattheWaterSupplyConnector.Use
asmallbrushorstreamofwatertoremoveanydebris(Fig.3).

TROUBLESHOOTING
•Ifthepumpfailstooperate,checkthefollowing:
Checkthecircuitbreaker,ortryadifferentoutlettomakesurethepump
is getting electrical power. NOTE: Always disconnect from electrical outlet
before handling the pump.
Checkthepumpdischargeandtubingforkinksandobstructions.Algae
build-up can be flushed out with a garden hose.
Remove the pump inlet to access the impeller area. Turn the rotor to
ensureitisnotbrokenorjammed.
NOTE: Monthly maintenance will add to your pump’s life.
•Ifthepumpgurgles,spews,or“burps”:
Checkthewaterleveltomakesurethepumphasenoughwatertofunction.
•Obtainingadesiredwaterlevel:
Checkthewaterleveldailythefirstweektomeasuretherateofevapora-
tion; refill with water as needed.
If water is splashing outside the fountain:
Stones that are hit by water and also touch the edge of the base will cause
water to splash outside of the base and contribute to the splash factor.
Expect some splash to occur as you get the stones organized.
If splash continues, rearrange the stones by moving them away from the
edgeofthebaseand/oradjusttheFlowControlLevertoalowersetting.
ToaccesstheFlowControlLever,locatedonthebacksideofthepump,
follow the instructions to clean the pump located on the previous page.
TheFlowControlLevercontrolsthepumpspeed.Thespeedisindicated
byaplus(+)andminus(–)sign.Toincreasethespeed,movetheswitch
in the direction of the plus sign. At its highest speed level, the switch will

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase, except as noted
below. HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and
workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and
does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales
receipt (as proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the
subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to
obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not
cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized
accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or
modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product;
malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s
recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or
environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or
otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the
control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in
which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable
it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured,
approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not
covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY.
THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON
THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS
WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL,
CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE
MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND
TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL
BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT
AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN
LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/
or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction
sites and/or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or
guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which
are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of
HoMedics.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which
may vary from state to state. Because of individual state regulations, some of the above
limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

1. Desempaque el producto del paquete con cuidado. Guarde el mate-
rial de empaque para un almacenamiento seguro.
2. Familiaríceseconlabomba(E).Lavelocidaddelabombaescon-
trolada por el interruptor ubicado en la parte delantera de la bomba.
Lavelocidad(Fig.4)estáindicadaporunsignodemás(+)yunode
menos(–).Paraaumentarlavelocidad,muevaelinterruptorlenta-
menteenladireccióndelsignodemás.Escucharáuncliccuando
el interruptor pase al siguiente nivel de velocidad. A su nivel máximo
de velocidad, el interruptor se detendrá. Para disminuir la velocidad
de la bomba, mueva el interruptor hacia el signo de menos. De la
misma forma, en su velocidad menor, el interruptor se detendrá.
Nota:Serecomiendaquelabombasefijeasumáximavelocidad
duranteelarmadoyluegoseajusteaunavelocidadmenorsiasíse
desea.Asegúresededesenchufarlabombaantesdeajustarelvalor
de la velocidad.
3. Introduzcaenlabombaeltubo(ubicadoenlaparteinferiordela
plataforma(B)).
4. Introduzcalostubosparacadapiso(A)enlosorificioscorrespon-
dientesenlaplataforma(B)comosemuestraenlaFig.1.Nota:No
sostengalapiezatomándoladelospisos,ensulugartómeladel
tubodebajodelpisoparaelarmado.
5. Llenelafuente(C)conaguadelgrifohasta1pulg.(2,5cm)del
borde superior. Recomendamos usar agua destilada para evitar la
acumulacióndeminerales.
6. Coloquelaplataformaconlospisosarmadosenlabasesobrelos
resaltes para que quede nivelada.
7. ConecteelreceptáculodeladaptadordeC/A(F)alcabledecorri-
ente de la base. NO enchufe al tomacorriente en este momento.
8. Coloquelafuentesobreunasuperficieniveladaeimpermeable.
9. Enchufe el cable a un tomacorriente domiciliario de 120 V. La fuente
se controla mediante el interruptor ubicado en el cable de corriente.
Si la bomba no funciona, gire el interruptor en línea una vez para
“encender”yunavezmáspara“apagar”.Elmantenimientomensual
alargará la vida de su bomba.
Nota:Asegúresedequeelcabledecorrientecuelguepordebajo
deltomacorrienteeléctricoparaformarun“bucledegoteo”
(Fig.2).Estoevitaráqueelaguapuedacorrerporelcable
hacia el tomacorriente
10. Acomode las piedras de río que se proporcionan sobre la plata-
formay/olospisos.(Sisalpica,vuelvaaacomodarlaspiedrashasta
quenosalpiquemás).

MANTENIMIENTO:
1. Para mantener el agua limpia:
Cambieelaguaperiódicamenteylimpieelproductodeacu-
erdoalacondicióndelagua.Mantenerelagualimpiaevita
quelamismasevuelvapegajosayqueseformenmicroor-
ganismos. Recomendamos agua destilada para evitar la acu-
mulacióndeminerales.
2. Para limpiar los depósitos de agua dura de la base:
Use una mezcla de vinagre y agua para limpiar y quitar
cualquieracumulaciónmineralenlabaseylabombap.
3. Mantenimiento del agua a un nivel óptimo:
Agregueaguaenformaperiódicaparamantenerelaguaen
unnivelóptimoyevitarquelavidadelabombasevearedu-
cida.Nota:Nuncadejequelabombafuncionesinaguay.
4. Guardado de la fuente
Desenchufe la fuente del tomacorriente eléctrico, quite el
agua y guarde en un lugar seco y fresco.
Precaución:
Todo el servicio de esta fuente debe ser realizado únicamente
por personal de servicio autorizado de HoMedics.

• Paralimpiarlabomba:
Desenchufe del tomacorriente eléctrico. Desarme la fuente y
quite los 2 tornillos de la parte superior de la cubierta de la
bomba(E)usandoundestornilladorPhillips.Tomeelorificio
de suministro de agua y levante suavemente la cubierta de
la bomba para acceder a la bomba. Quite la cubierta de la
bomba en el conector de suministro de agua. Utilice un cepil-
lo pequeño o chorro de agua para quitar cualquier desecho
(Fig.3).

DIAGNÓSTICO Y RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
•Silabombanofunciona,verifiquelosiguiente:
Revise el disyuntor o enchufe la unidad en otro tomacorriente para asegu-
rarse de que la bomba está recibiendo corriente. NOTA: Siempre desco-
necte la bomba del tomacorriente eléctrico antes de manipularla.
NOTA: El mantenimiento mensual alargará la vida de su bomba.
•Silabombagorgotea,“vomita”o“eructa”:
Revise el nivel del agua para asegurar que la bomba tenga suficiente agua
para funcionar.
•Cómolograrelniveldeaguadeseado:
Revise diariamente el nivel de agua en la primera semana para medir la
velocidaddeevaporación,agregueaguasegúnseanecesario.
Si el agua salpica fuera de la fuente:
Las piedras que golpea el agua y además tocan el borde de la base harán
que el agua salpique fuera de la base y contribuya al factor de salpicado.
Es de esperarse que salpique un poco mientras organiza las piedras.
Sisiguesalpicando,reacomodelaspiedrasalejándolasdelbordede
labasey/oajustelapalancadecontroldeflujoaunvalormenor.Para
accederalapalancadecontroldeflujo,ubicadaenlapartetraseradela
bomba, siga las instrucciones para limpiar la bomba en la página ante-
rior.Lapalancadecontroldeflujocontrolalavelocidaddelabomba.
Lavelocidadestáindicadaporunsignodemás(+)yunodemenos(-).
Paraaumentarlavelocidad,muevaelinterruptorenladireccióndelsigno
de más. A su nivel máximo de velocidad, el interruptor se detendrá. Para
