INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance is intended for professional use. Use on Alternating Current (60 Hz) only.

Standard appliances are designed to operate at 120 volts AC.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other.) As a safety

feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully

into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do

not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

SOL-GEL TECHNOLOGY

The Sol-Gel technique is a delicate, precisely controlled lab process that transforms

nanoscale particles of titanium and ceramic from a liquid (SOL) to a solid (GEL) form,

resulting in a much higher concentration of titanium and ceramic. The titanium ceramic

coating is 37% harder (longer lasting and chip resistant), less porous (chemically

resistant) and 22% smoother (reduces friction and helps preserve the integrity of the

hair).

STRAIGHTENING BASICS

1. Plug the iron into a standard electrical outlet (120V).

2. Slide the temperature switch to the desired setting (use the chart below as a reference).

The corresponding LED light will light up/blink. Note: The indicator light will stop blinking

when the unit reaches the selected temperature. The iron will heat up very quickly. It is

not necessary to touch the plates to judge readiness.

3. Section dry hair evenly, and comb each section. Position the iron on hair as far up as

you want hair to be straightened, being careful not to let the iron touch the scalp. Close

the iron with the hair between the two plates and gently pull the iron down to the end of

the section of hair you are straightening. Repeat this process several times if necessary.

Allow hair to cool before combing.

4. Turn off and unplug the appliance.

5. Allow to cool before storing.

TO CREATE CURLS

For your convenience, the U Curler offers various options for creating beautiful curls:

Technique 1

1. Separate a section of hair, no more than 1½” wide. The smaller the section, the more

deﬁned the curl. The larger the section, the looser the curl or wave.

2. Place section of hair between the plates, making sure the side heating plates are facing

towards the head. Close the plates.

3. Turn the unit 90° so that the side heating plates are facing upwards.

4. It is important that the hair is held ﬁrmly between the plates. For extra control, hold the

rubberized cool tips.

5. Gently pull the iron down to the end of the section of hair in an outward curved motion

so that by the time the unit reaches the ends of the hair, the side heating plates are

facing down.

6. Release the hair.

7. To ensure the curl sits neatly in place, grab the end of the section you have just curled

and twist it 180° in the direction of the curl.

Technique 2

1. Separate a section of hair, and place it between the plates, making sure the side heating

plates are facing towards the head. Close the plates.

2. Turn the unit 90° so that the side heating plates are facing downwards.

3. Gently pull the iron down to the end of the section of hair in an inward curved motion

so that by the time the unit reaches the ends of the hair, the side heating plates are

facing up.

4. Release the hair.

5. To ensure the curl sits neatly in place, grab the end of the section you have just curled

and twist it 180° in the direction of the curl.

Technique 3

1. Separate a section of hair, and place the end between the plates. Close the plates.

2. Rotate the iron in the desired direction and wrap hair around housing.

USER MAINTENANCE

Your iron is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and

openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from

the power source, let it cool and wipe exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition

occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and return it for repair to an authorized service

representative only. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.

Este aparato fue diseñado para uso profesional. Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna de

120V (60 hertzios).

El cable de este aparato está dotado de una clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha

que otra). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola manera en el

tomacorriente polarizado. Si no entrara en el tomacorriente, inviértela. Si aún no entrara

completamente, comuníquese con un electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta función

de seguridad.

PLACAS DE NANO TITANIO

Su plancha alaciadora/onduladora Nano Titanium™, con placas de Nano Titanio, brinda

muchas ventajas. El Titanio es un excelente conductor térmico que permanece estable a

temperaturas extremas. La tecnología del Nano Titanio utiliza micro-partículas de titanio

para lograr un desempeño óptimo y dejar el cabello hermoso y saludable. El Titanio emite

calor infrarrojo lejano que penetra profundamente en el tallo del pelo, logrando un peinado

más suave para el cabello. El Titanio también emite iones negativos, los cuales logran

resultados más rápidos al mismo tiempo que mantienen el balance hídrico del cabello.

Su plancha alaciadora/onduladora con placas de Nano Titanio dejará su cabello suave y

sedoso al mismo tiempo que eliminará el frizz.

TÉCNICA SOL-GEL

La técnica Sol-Gel es un proceso químico preciso que condensa micro-partículas líquidas

de titanio y cerámica hasta formar un sólido, lo cual produce un revestimiento con alta

concentración de titanio y cerámica. El revestimiento de titanio y cerámica es un 37% más

duro (es duradero y no se desconcha), menos poroso (resiste a químicos) y un 22% más

suave (reduce la fricción y ayuda a mantener la integridad del cabello).

FUNDAMENTOS DEL ALISADO/ONDULADO

1. Enchufe el cordón en un tomacorriente de 120V.

2. Deslice el botón de temperatura hacia la izquierda, hasta que el indicador luminoso

correspondiendo a la temperatura escogida empiece a parpadear. Utilice la tabla a

continuación para determinar cual nivel de temperatura escoger, según su tipo de

cabello. Nota: El indicador luminoso dejará de parpadear en cuanto el aparato alcance

la temperatura deseada. El aparato calentará muy rápidamente. No es necesario tocar

las placas para asegurarse que esté listo.

3. Divida el cabello seco en secciones parejas y peine cada sección. Coloque la plancha

cerca del cuero cabelludo, sin permitir que las placas toquen éste. Abra las placas y

ponga una sección de cabello entre ellas. Cierre las placas y baje la plancha lentamente

hasta las puntas, manteniendo las placas bien cerradas. Alise cada sección varias

veces si fuera necesario. Permita que el cabello enfríe antes de peinarlo.

4. Apague y desconecte el aparato.

5. Permita que enfríe antes de guardarlo.

COMO ONDULAR EL CABELLO

Para su comodidad, podrá crear hermosas ondas, usando varias técnicas.

Técnica no. 1

1. Coja una sección de cabello de 3.5 pulgadas de ancho o menos. Cuanta más ﬁna la

sección, más deﬁnida la onda. Cuanta más ancha la sección, más suelta la onda.

2. Ponga el cabello entre las placas, asegurándose que los bordes onduladores apunten

hacia la cabeza. Cierre las placas.

1. Coja una sección de cabello y póngala entre las placas, asegurándose que los bordes

onduladores apunten hacia la cabeza. Cierre las placas.

2. Voltee la plancha un cuarto de turno hacia dentro, hasta que los bordes onduladores

apunten hacia abajo.

3. Deslice suavemente la plancha hasta las puntas con un movimiento curvo hacia

dentro, de tal manera que cuando llegue a las puntas, los bordes onduladores apunten

hacia arriba.

4. Abra las placas.

5. Para ﬁjar el bucle, coja la sección de cabello por las puntas y déle una vuelta completa

sobre sí misma en dirección de la onda.

Técnica no. 3

1. Coja una sección de cabello y póngala entre las placas. Cierre las placas.

2. Deslice suavemente la plancha hasta las puntas.

3. Cuando llegue a las puntas, gire la plancha en la dirección deseada y envuelva el

cabello alrededor de las placas cerradas.

INSTRUCCIONES DE MANTENIMIENTO

Su aparato casi no necesita mantenimiento. No necesita lubricación. Mantenga todas

las aberturas libres de polvos y pelusas. Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfelo,
