INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
Cuando se usan aparatos eléctricos, especialmente en presencia de menores de
edad, se debe tomar precauciones básicas de seguridad, incluyendo las siguientes:
■ POR FAVOR LEA TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES ANTES DE USAR EL PRODUCTO.
■ MANTENGA LA TENAZA ALEJADA DEL AGUA.
PELIGRO - Como sucede con la mayoría de aparatos, las partes eléctricas

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug,
and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this
indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the
cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE
WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT:
During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and a slight odor. This is normal
and will quickly disappear.
This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC electrical outlet (ordinary
household current). Do not use any other electrical outlet.
This iron has been designed to straighten, wave or waffle pattern hair.
For styling, hair should be clean, dry, and free from hair spray, creams and gels.
TO ATTACH PLATES:
• Be sure unit is unplugged and plates are cool.
• Use only pairs of correctly matched plates
• Hold iron in one hand
• Place thumb and index finger of the other hand over the tabs located on both sides of the plate
• Align the two tracks on the underside of the plate with the two grooves on the iron.
• Slide plate into the iron until it snaps into place
• Repeat procedure for second plate
TO DETACH PLATES:
• Be sure unit is unplugged and plates are cool.
• Hold iron in one hand
• Place thumb and index finger of the other hand over the tabs located on both sides of the plate
• Apply pressure on both tabs at the same time and slide plates off from unit
PRE-HEAT: Rest the iron on a smooth, flat surface, plug in, and allow iron to heat. Red power
indicator light will illuminate. For optimum styling temperature, allow iron to heat for 8-10 minutes
before using.
STYLING:
1. Work with hair sections that are approximately 2-1/2" wide and 3/4" deep.
2. Place hair between the hot plates and press down firmly.
3. Hold in place for a few seconds, maintaining some tension.
4. Release pressure from handle and allow hair to slip out.
STRAIGHTENING: The straightening plates relax overly curly hair and smooth the frizzies. For a
finishing touch, turn straightening iron under a half turn when nearing end of hair.
WAFFLE PATTERN: The waffling plates create wavy pattern indentations in your hair.
WAVING: The deep waving plates create richly textured, soft waves or to add overall body and
volume in your hair.
HOW TO USE
This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try to fix
it yourself. Refer it to qualified service personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN: Unplug iron and allow to cool. Iron must be cleaned only when cold. Use a soft, slightly
damp cloth to wipe surfaces.
Do not allow water or any other liquid to go into handle of the iron.
TO STORE: Unplug appliance and let it cool; store in its box or in a clean, dry place. Store the cord
loosely coiled. Never wrap the cord around unit; this could cause the cord to wear prematurely
and break. Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the handle, as it could cause cord to fray
and possibly break. Never hang unit up by the power cord.
CARE AND CLEANING
Este producto es apropiado para uso doméstico y puede enchufarse en cualquier toma de

COMO INSTALAR LAS PLACAS:
• Asegúrese que la tenaza esté desconectada y que las placas estén frías.
• Use las placas en pares iguales únicamente.
• Sujete la tenaza con una mano.
• Coloque el dedo pulgar y el índice de la otra mano sobre las guías en ambos costados de
la placa.
• Alinee los dos carriles del inferior de la placa con las dos ranuras de la tenaza.
• Deslice la placa en la tenaza hasta caer en su lugar.
• Repita los mismos pasos para instalar la otra placa.
COMO RETIRAR LAS PLACAS:
• Asegúrese que la tenaza esté desconectada y que las placas estén frías.
• Sujete la tenaza con una mano.
• Coloque el dedo pulgar y el índice de la otra mano sobre las guías en ambos costados de
la placa.
• Aplique presión a las dos guías al mismo tiempo y deslícelas hacia afuera de la tenaza.
COMO PRECALENTAR: Descanse la tenaza sobre una superficie plana, enchúfela y deje que se
caliente. Se iluminará la luz roja del interruptor. Para lograr una temperatura óptima para estilizar,
permita que la tenaza se caliente de 8 – 10 minutos antes de usarla.
COMO ESTILIZAR:
1. Trabaje el cabello en secciones de 2-1/2" de ancho y 3/4" de profundidad.
2. Coloque las secciones de cabello entre las placas y oprima la tenaza firmemente.
3. Sujete el cabello entre las placas por unos segundos manteniendo cierto grado de tensión.
4. Abra la tenaza y suelte el cabello.
COMO ALISAR: Las planchas de alisar relajan el cabello ondulado y ayudan a suavizar el cabello
crespo rebelde. Para dar mejor toque de acabado al cabello, ya para alcanzar las puntas, enrolle
la tenaza hacia adentro y gírela media vuelta.
COMO RIZAR: Las placas de rizar producen un efecto de rizo entrelazado en el cabello.
COMO ONDULAR: Las placas de ondular tienen la profundidad apropiada para crear ondas bien
definidas y suaves. Utilícelas para agregar volumen al cabello.
Este producto requiere poco mantenimiento y no contiene partes útiles al consumidor. Si la
tenaza llegase a fallar, no trate de repararla en casa; por favor acuda a personal de servicio
calificado.
LIMPIEZA: Desconecte la tenaza y permita que se enfríe. La tenaza debe limpiarse únicamente
estando fría. No permita que penetre agua ni ningún otro líquido adentro de la unidad.
ALMACENAMIENTO: Desconecte la unidad, deje que se enfríe y almacénela en la caja original de
empaque o en un lugar seco. Nunca guarde la tenaza estando aún caliente o enchufada. A fin de
evitar que el cable se debilite y se rompa, no lo enrolle alrededor de la unidad ni aplique presión
excesiva a la unión del cable con la unidad. Nunca cuelgue la unidad por el cable.
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Esta unidad tiene un enchufe polarizado en el que una clavija/contacto es más ancha que la otra.
Como medida de seguridad, este enchufe entra en una toma de corriente polarizada en un solo
sentido. Si el enchufe no encaja en la toma, inviértalo e intente enchufarlo de nuevo. Si aún así no
logra enchufarlo, busque la ayuda de un electricista. Por favor no altere esta medida de seguridad
haciéndole modificaciones al enchufe.
CONSEJOS DE SEGURIDAD RELACIONADOS AL CABLE ELECTRICO
1. Nunca tire del cable ni del aparato.
2. Para conectar el enchufe, sujételo con firmeza e introdúzcalo con cuidado en la toma de

MANERA INTERMITENTE O SI DEJA DE FUNCIONAR POR COMPLETO.
