This device is a consumer electronics device, intended

for playing music. The audio material can be delivered

via Bluetooth® or a 3.5 mm jack cable (LINE IN). Using

the device as a radio is supported as well. It may only

be used for private purposes and is not for industrial or

commercial use. Also, the device must not be used in

tropical climates. The manufacturer shall not be liable

for any damages or faults arising as a result of

unauthorized modification of the device. Please observe

the national regulations and/or laws in the respective

country of use.

Initial Use

Charging the battery



NOTICE:

Only charge the speaker

using a USB power adapter with a

minimum output current of 1.0 A

(not included in the package

contents).



NOTICE:

The speaker should not

be covered while charging.

Before initial operation or if the integrated battery is flat,

charge it as follows:

 Connect the supplied USB charging cable (B) to the

micro-USB charging port (9) and a free USB port on

a USB mains adapter (not included in the package

contents).

 The LED (7) lights up orange while the battery is

charging and goes out once the battery is fully

charged. You can continue to use the speaker while it

is charging. Please note that this will slightly increase

the amount of time required to charge the device.

 Disconnect the USB charging cable (B) from the

speaker after charging.

Bluetooth® mode

The Bluetooth® connection allows you to pair a

Bluetooth®-equipped music player such as your

SilverCrest SBLL 4.2 A1

smartphone or MP3 player with the speaker. Once the

two devices are paired, you can play music over the

speaker and operate the main controls of the player

remotely using the buttons on the speaker.

Proceed as follows to pair the speaker with your mobile

phone or player:

 Turn the speaker on by setting the ON/OFF switch

(6) to the ‘ON’ position. You will hear a series of

sounds that gradually increase in volume. The display

(1) shows ‘bLUE’ and the LED (7) quickly flashes

blue.

 Now connect your mobile phone or player to the

speaker via Bluetooth®. To do so, refer to your

mobile phone manual. From the list of devices

detected, select device ‘SBLL 4.2 A1’ and establish

the connection. Enter ‘0000’ if you are asked for a

PIN.

 The speaker confirms the establishment of the

connection with a series of sounds that gradually

increase in volume, and the LED (7) lights up blue.

During transmission the LED (7) flashes blue.

 Adjust the volume on your audio source or using the

button (4) and button (5). When you do

so, the volume setting is briefly shown on the display

(1).

 You can turn the speaker off by setting the ON/OFF

switch (6) to the ‘OFF’ position.

While operating in Bluetooth® mode, the buttons on the

speaker perform the following functions:

Radio Mode

The speaker has a radio function. Proceed as follows to

use the speaker in radio mode.

 Connect the supplied USB charging cable (B) to the

micro-USB charging port (9) on the speaker. The USB

charging cable (B) is used as the antenna in radio

mode.

 Turn the speaker on by setting the ON/OFF switch

(6) to the ‘ON’ position. You will hear a series of

sounds that gradually increase in volume. ‘bLUE’ is

shown on the display (1).

 Briefly press the M button (3) to switch to radio

mode. The most recently used radio frequency is

shown on the display (1).

 To start automatic station scanning, briefly press the

button (2). Automatic station scanning always

begins with the lowest frequency.

 The speaker now scans the entire frequency range for

stations with a strong signal. As soon as a station with

a strong signal is found, the frequency indicator

briefly freezes on the display (1) and the memory

position where this station will be stored is displayed

for a short time.

 The first 99 stations found will be stored directly in

memory positions 1 to 99. The station stored under

memory location 1 is played.

 You can turn the speaker off by setting the ON/OFF

switch (6) to the ‘OFF’ position.

Please note that memory positions already

in use will be overwritten.

LINE IN Mode

In LINE IN mode you have to connect the speaker to

your audio source with a cable. Proceed as follows:

 Turn your audio source down to a low volume.

 Connect the supplied audio cable (C) to the LINE IN

jack (8) and your audio source. Please note: An

acoustic signal is played if the audio cable (C) is

connected or disconnected while the speaker is on.

 Turn the speaker on by setting the ON/OFF switch

(6) to the ‘ON’ position. You will hear a series of

sounds that gradually increase in volume. ‘bLUE’ is

shown on the display (1).

 Briefly press the M button (3) twice to change to

LINE IN mode. The display (1) shows ‘LINE’ and

‘AUX.’

 Adjust the volume on your audio source or using the

button (4) and button (5). When you do

so, the volume setting is briefly shown on the display

(1).

 You can turn the speaker off by setting the ON/OFF

switch (6) to the ‘OFF’ position.

The buttons on the speaker perform the following

functions in LINE IN mode:

Troubleshooting

The speaker will not switch on.

 Charge the battery.

No Bluetooth® connection established.

 Switch the speaker on.

 Check whether the Bluetooth® function is enabled

on your mobile phone or audio device.

 The distance between the devices is too great.

Reduce the distance.

 Re-connect Bluetooth® if necessary.

Not all of the functions described work.

 All the functions described depend on the range of

functions available on the device you are using.

 The full range of speaker functions may not be

available in all cases and may vary based on the

device manufacturer, model, and software version

of the mobile phone or player you are using.

Storing the device when not in

use

If the speaker is not going to be used for a long period

of time, you should recharge the battery on a regular

basis. This helps maintain battery performance. Keep

the device in a cool, dry place.

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

 Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.

 Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

 Normal wear and tear of the product, including

fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);

 Improper use or transport;

 Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;

 Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire,

water, etc.);

 Tampering with the product (such as removing

Puesta en funcionamiento

Cargar la batería



NOTA:

Cargue la bocina con el

adaptador de corriente USB con

una corriente mínima de salida de

1.0 A (no se incluye en el

empaque).



NOTA:

La bocina no debe ser

cubierta mientras se está cargando.

Antes de utilizarla por primera vez o en caso de que

esté descargada, cargue la batería de la siguiente

manera:

 Conecte el cable de carga USB suministrado (B) al

puerto de carga micro USB (9) y a un puerto USB

libre de un adaptador de corriente USB (no incluido).

 El LED (7) estará encendido en naranja mientras la

batería se esté cargando y se apagará cuando la

batería esté completamente cargada. Puede seguir

utilizando la bocina durante el proceso de carga. Sin

embargo, tenga en cuenta que la carga llevará más

tiempo.

 Una vez terminada la carga, desconecte el cable de

carga USB (B) de la bocina.

Modo Bluetooth®

La conexión Bluetooth® le permite conectar su

reproductor de música Bluetooth®, por ejemplo, su

smartphone

o MP3, con la bocina. Si la conexión se

realiza correctamente, podrá escuchar música a través

de la bocina y controlar con sus botones las principales

funciones del reproductor.

Para establecer la conexión entre la bocina y su

teléfono celular o reproductor, proceda de la siguiente

manera:

 Encienda la bocina, colocando el botón de

encendido/apagado (6) a la posición «ON». La

bocina emitirá una secuencia sonora ascendente. En

la pantalla (1), se mostrará «bLUE» y el LED (7)

parpadeará rápidamente en azul.

 A continuación, conecte su teléfono móvil o

reproductor mediante Bluetooth® con la bocina. Para

ello, consulte las instrucciones de su teléfono. En la

lista de dispositivos encontrados, seleccione el

dispositivo «SBLL 4.2 A1» y establezca la conexión.

Si se le solicitara un PIN, introduzca el código

«0000».

 La bocina confirma el establecimiento de la conexión

con una secuencia sonora ascendente y el LED (7) se

enciende en azul. Durante la transmisión, el LED (7)

parpadea en azul.

 Ajuste el volumen de su fuente de audio o con los

botones (4) y (5). El volumen ajustado se

mostrará brevemente en la pantalla (1).

 Puede apagar la bocina, colocando el botón de

encendido/apagado (6) a la posición «OFF».

En el modo Bluetooth®, los botones de la bocina tienen

las siguientes funciones:

Modo de radio

La bocina cuenta con una función de radio. Proceda de

la siguiente forma para utilizar la bocina en modo de

radio:

 Conecte el cable carga USB (B) en el puerto de

carga micro USB (9) de la bocina. El cable de carga

USB (B) se usa en modo de radio como antena.

 Encienda la bocina, colocando el botón de

encendido/apagado (6) a la posición «ON». La

bocina emitirá una secuencia sonora ascendente. En

la pantalla (1), se mostrará «bLUE».

 Presione brevemente el botón M (3) para cambiar a

modo de radio. En la pantalla (1) se mostrará la

última frecuencia de radio usada.

 Inicie la búsqueda automática de estación

presionando brevemente el botón (2). La

búsqueda automática de estación siempre empieza

por las frecuencias más bajas.

 La bocina examinará toda la banda de frecuencias

en busca de emisoras con buena señal. En la

pantalla (1) se detiene brevemente la indicación de

frecuencia tan pronto como se halla una estación

con suficiente señal, y se muestra brevemente el sitio

de almacenamiento donde se almacena esta

estación.

 Las primeras 99 estaciones que encuentre se

guardarán directamente en las memorias 1 a 99. Se

escuchará directamente la emisora guardada de la

memoria 1.

 Puede apagar la bocina, colocando el botón de

encendido/apagado (6) a la posición «OFF».

Tenga en cuenta que es posible sobrescribir

las memorias ya guardadas.

En el modo LINE IN, la bocina debe conectarse por

cable con la fuente de audio. Para ello, proceda de la

 Ajuste el volumen de la fuente de audio en un nivel

bajo.

 Conecte el cable de audio suministrado (C) con la

entrada LINE IN (8) y su fuente de audio. Nota: Si se

conecta o desconecta el cable de audio (C) con la

bocina encendida, se emitirá una señal sonora.

 Encienda la bocina, colocando el botón de

encendido/apagado (6) a la posición «ON». La

bocina emitirá una secuencia sonora ascendente. En

la pantalla (1), se mostrará «bLUE».

 Presione brevemente el botón M (3) dos veces para

cambiar a modo LINE IN. En la pantalla (1)

aparecerá «LINE» y «AUX».

 Ajuste el volumen de su fuente de audio o con los

botones (4) y (5). El volumen ajustado se

mostrará brevemente en la pantalla (1).

 Puede apagar la bocina, colocando el botón de

encendido/apagado (6) a la posición «OFF».

En el modo LINE IN, los botones de la bocina tienen

Resolución de problemas

La bocina no se enciende

 Cargue la batería.

No se establece la conexión Bluetooth®

 Encienda la bocina.

 Compruebe que la función Bluetooth® de su

teléfono celular o del dispositivo de audio esté

encendida.

 Si la distancia entre los dispositivos es demasiado

grande, redúzcala.

 Establezca la conexión Bluetooth® y, si es

necesario, repita el procedimiento.

No funcionan todas las funciones descritas

 Las funciones descritas dependen de la

funcionalidad del dispositivo utilizado.

 Dependiendo del fabricante del dispositivo, del

modelo y de la versión del software del teléfono

móvil o del reproductor, no se puede garantizar en

todos los casos una funcionalidad completa de la

bocina.

Almacenamiento cuando no se

utiliza

Si no va a utilizar la bocina durante un periodo de

tiempo prolongado, es recomendable cargar la batería

cada cierto tiempo. De este modo, el rendimiento de la

batería se mantiene. Guarde el aparato en un lugar

fresco y seco.
